Stoked to have been gifted some seeds from Barney’s Farm! Thank you so much guys and I hope to do this diary justice. Popped a seed in paper towel method. 3 days later through into some coco and off we go!
Day 1 - A bit of recharge and clonex they are off and running!
Day 16 - kind of cold for the sprouts, so slowed their growth. Should pick up soon. Slow and steady wins the race although 10 degrees warmer would be ideal.
Day 37- really loving the way she is responding to the transplant and cold weather right now. Gave her couple of real feeds 5 days apart . The recharge is the bees knees. Need to reup! And mammoth p too
Day 46 - only giving her water this week. Going about 4-5 days then she is getting thirsty. Going to try some lst and branch weaving when she gets a bit more lanky. She is super squat and a bit slow growing bc of the cold temps. Next is a topping for her clone.
Day 52 - giving her feeding this week. Going about 4-5 days then she is getting thirsty. some lst and branch weaving. Probably take clones from the bottom when I go to shave her legs a bit.
Day 59 - She is getting very big and beautiful. I am waiting until I get my platinum led back from a warranty fix. Can’t wait should be very soon. I took off about 4-5 fan leaves and will continue to keep her thinned out until flower flip. Clones will be taken before the flip.
Day 63- clones were taken, and soon as she recovers from that then I will flip to flower. Shots of the little guys are in the back. Hoping they all pull through. She’s starting to get a little lanky so going to keep the led low.
Day 66 FLIPPED TO FLOWER
Day 3 of flower! Flipped on Veg day 66. She been lil slow still bc of the temps are lower than I want. It will slowly be getting warmer. Slight aromas starting to come from the tent. Just two girls under my p300 platinum led. 180w from the wall. Hoping for at least 2oz each 🙏🤙
Day 13 of flower and she has taken off. Had to defoliate her about two handfuls of fan leaves. Still has some stretch in her, hoping for a nice little bush of colas. No lst or super cropping yet. Smells are starting to come out.
Day 18 Flower - She has not stretched too much, I was expecting a bit more. Smells starting to slowly make its way into the tent. I keep defoliating each time I feed her, about 2-3 fan leaves per week.
Day 26 - looking good so far. She has not stretched to badly. Some different looking pistils than what I’m used to. Exciting to see the changes in flower almost everyday. The frost is on, although not as frosty as I would hope. But maybe she packs them on later in flower. Thanks for following. Should be a roller coaster ride from here on out.
Day 33 of Flower - I love this girl and how she is smelling. Just creamy notes of Gelato and sweet hints of lime or somethis citrus. Going to keep increasing the ppms until week 8 of Flower then some carbs and strait to water. Can’t wait to try some of this. Had some gelato shatter from the dispensary and it is my new favorite to strain to dab.
Day 41 of Flower - She smells amazing and the buds on her are getting huge. Frost factor is 8/10 so far and I am trying to keep up with feeding her enough nutrients. She is getting fed every 4-5 days. I am trying to keep the Rh around 60% and the day time temps around 77^F. Going to flush her for about 2 weeks with some carbs at first.
Day 47 of Flower - smells like Gelato not sure which flavor but a distinct smell that comes of slightly fruity with hints of cream. Makes me want to give it a finger hug over and over.
DAY 51 - She is really coming into her own now, developing beautiful dense nugs. Soft aromas of gelato and slight hints of Chem Dawg. She has really packed on the trichomes now looking at them under 60X most are clear to cloudy. Only flushing with water from here on out.
Day 56 of flower. Day 122 from seed. This is been the best girl I’ve grown out so far. No matter how much I feed her she just eats it up. The dense nugs and the frost factor is seriously on point. Smells and greasy buds are packed in this compact girl. I really like how she didn’t stretch to much. Most cloudy trichomes so far, only about 5% amber. Looking to chop at 20% amber and the rest cloudy.
Day 63 of Flower and she is Rocking Solid Sticky Buds and I might add that the smells are quite pungent. Some creamy hints of gelato but not sure what it is, kind of a sweet skunky smell. We will see how she sets and cures. Just water from here on out. Colors really coming through. The Trichomes seem to be about 6% amber so waiting until I see about 15% amber then Chop chop! I have my dehumidifier on full blast but the Rh is only down to 60% . Crossing my fingers on this one ☝️ 🙏🤞
Buds are super dense, Support for them was perfect. It’s a nice bushy girl that likes it on the dry side for feeds. She was a delight to have in the garden and will keep her around for the next rounds!
So the Blue Gelato is fun bushy girl to grow. Super stick on the last few weeks of growth. Making the best chocolate terps with a kushy aftertastes. With great density and bag appeal, I would recommend this to a beginner to moderate grower. It will be in my garden for a while.
Another bonus would be, that if the relative humidity of the room is lower, the fabric pots and coco root ball will dry out that bit quicker, and you could potentially squeeze in more feeds, say every 2-3 day as oppose to 4-5days. But at a lower E.c concentration, that's another story though, I rarely take E.C above 1.6.
Have a look at a Vapour pressure deficit chart, VPD chart, this will give you guidelines to follow if you really want to be in the sweet spot for temperature/ humidity
Your doing a great job, she's already starting to show her true colours, can't wait to see her ripen up over the next few weeks

Are you growing in the bathtub? Or is that where you do the photo Shoots? I can see the benefit! Easy access to water, run off waste just drains straight away, no more sponging up run off water from the base trays! You can wipe the white reflective tiles clean with anti bacterial/fungal solution to keep things clean! 😁 But if that bathroom is being used for bathing purposes it with explain why humidity is at 65%.
I can't see how it's possible to get to day 63 flower at 65% humidity without running into mould issues inside those big sticky huge buds.

@Bigface, growing in a gorilla tent. 2.5ftx3ft super small. Only fit 2 girls at a time. Bathtub is just for the photos. I can’t stand taking pictures in that small tent. Trying to get the Rh down. I only have a small dehumidifier. Getting it down to 60% Rh at times but I’m at the mercy of the weather.
Day 48 flower, buds getting huge.... sounds like you want to be aiming for a lower humidity than 60%r/h .... personally if those buds are dense and tight, I'd aim for lower than 50%r/h at this stage in the show. And even lower, down to 40% r/h come last week of 🌺
Of course the humidity raises at lights off, as temps drop.. but a dehumidifier set on a timer to come on at lights off, will ensure humidity stays around or below 50%..and help combat the risk of bud rot.
Besides, dryer conditions at this stage, the plant reacts by covering itself in extra resin as protection against dry conditions.
If you have access to a dehumidifier, now is the time to get it in action I'd say

@G4NJAG4NG,I think the gorilla Zkittles will be a bit more fruity but can’t wait to try this strain out . Never had it . Should be flipping to flowernin 2 weeks or so.
@GrowZex, haha they are in a little 2.5ft x 3ft gorilla tent. I put them in them in there for pictures. Much better lighting for pics than the Spider-Man spectrum my P300 puts off
@Silky_smooth, not sure yet. Kinda waiting in my flowering led to get back from warranty fix. Platinum led was super helpful getting it back to the warehouse for fixing
@beadyeyes, yeah she’s small bc kept the light low, and colder temps. Need to clone and strip some more leaves. Then flipping next week sometime... we will see.
