Plants showing good growth. One had slightly burned tips in new leaves. Hung lamp a little higher. Haven’t measured ph until now. But using rain water + fertilizer probably mean it’s too low. pH tester arriving in the mail soon. Let’s see what it shows. Considering topping or fimming the two large plants. Will post a question later today.

Started the plants off with 60 watts. Increased to 100 watts today with a 20/5 schedule. Could I increase to the full 150 watts already or should I give them a few days with 100? Thanks in advance for any advice. It’s my first indoor grow with this setup and I’m still learning :)

No they don’t need so much light when they are this young. When you are in mid flower you can go full light. Now they just need a little light to grow. Good luck. You can keep the lights at 60 watts for a while 😊

I’m thinking about topping or fimming both of my automatic gelato plants now. Both are 3 weeks after I planted the seedling into their pots. Both have 4/5 nodes depending on if you count the first one. I’m interested in some expert opinions. Yay or nay to topping? :) Thanks!

High Chilltkroete, No you do not want to top this autoflower. You want to bend the main stem down with LST training and shape this plant by bending instead of by damaging due HST. You will get the same benefits from bending the plant in the right shape and by doing this you cut away the risks that you get from topping an autoflower. You want to bend the plant in a shape that the buds grow on the same height and that light can reach all the leaves from the stems with the larger buds. Happy growing buddy! 💚

Man, why you go so deep and unneeded, i dont understand. You have already and feeding issues and watering issues signs ( maybe second influenced ph and that influenced first ). There is plenty of ways to manipulate plant without harm. LSTed auto : growdiaries.com/diaries/177197-grow-journal-by-asnoriu Just leaves tucking and stem manipulated auto : growdiaries.com/diaries/129716-grow-journal-by-asnoriu All in soil, all organic feed. And still huge numbers despite not perfect or limited conditions ... I would not top/fim/mainline any auto. Thats my view.
