PotRul Fast germination within 24 hours. I let it germinate directly in the pot. I set my lights to 40% and let them shine for 18 hours. I took a glass and made 2 holes in the soil for air circulation.

PotRul My first indoor grow since I had a lot of bad luck with diseases and hermaphroditism during the summer with autoflowers. I used Biobizz All Mix soil, which will turn out to be a slight mistake.

PotRul They have grown nicely so far. Also, no signs of over-fertilization from the soil yet. I had also planted a 2nd OG Kush at the same time, but unfortunately, it didn't make it this far.

PotRul Unfortunately, I'm still a beginner since this year and only started on the balcony without nutrients. For my first indoor grow, I thought I'd just use the Biobizz AllMix soil. Unfortunately, it was just too much for the plant. I flushed it properly afterward to wash out all the nutrients.

PotRul I removed the burnt leaves from the over-fertilization and started with LST. I got some plant benders made of plastic from Amazon and began stretching the side shoots. I hadn't fertilized because I've become very cautious due to the over-fertilization.

PotRul The buds are slowly increasing, and the scent is developing as well. I've never seen so many side branches like this on the balcony. Fertilizing is going back to normal according to the Biobizz schedule.

PotRul I defoliated the plant and lollipopped it this week. I worked from the bottom up and removed most of the fan leaves. I left 6 on the head bud. For lollipopping, I left the 3-4 nodes on each branch. The flowers are developing very nicely.

PotRul The scent is getting more beautiful and stronger. Since I don't have a tent and I'm growing in my hobby room, I always make sure that the humidity stays below 60%. At night it can go up to 62%, but on average I'm at 53% since I ventilate a lot during the day as well. The fan is still running 24 hours a day in oscillation mode.

PotRul So now finally up to date! This week I noticed that many side branches weren't getting enough light, so I bent them accordingly with some kitchen twine. Everything looks good so far and everything is growing very nicely. I can't see any deficiencies or anything else; maybe someone can give me some valuable tips. I would appreciate anything!

PotRul 3.11.2024 Flowering day 49 and what can I say? The pictures speak for themselves. I'm looking forward to the last 2 weeks. The lady is so thirsty now that I have to water every 3 days! The terpenes are still quite long, and the buds are getting fatter and fatter, really beautiful to see! The headbud is so big and continues to grow wider. I'm just speechless when I compare this to the other two plants. Looking back, considering she almost died from over-fertilization, I'm even more thrilled with how splendidly this plant has recovered and developed. Since I'm growing 3 different strains at the same time, I've added a picture so you can match the buds in the photos. The smell is so nice now that I look forward to seeing my ladies every morning. Since I don't have a tent, I ventilate several times a day to keep the humidity between 48-53%. Side note: My watering can is 2L, and I fertilize as described above not for 1L but for 2L for the calculation. If you have any tips on what else I could document, I would be very grateful. 8.11.2024 Update: Today I fertilized and watered again. I've added a few more pictures.

PotRul 11.11.2024 Flowering day 57 and she’s getting wider. A great plant, but I’m a bit worried she might mold, which is why the fan is running 24/7. The tips of a few leaves are turning slightly purple. I’ve already seen some brown trichomes on the leaves with the magnifying glass, but not on the buds yet. For my first indoor grow, I’m really excited to see what happens at the end. Now it’s just a matter of waiting and being patient. Since I’ve been fertilizing according to the Biobizz schedule, I fertilized for the last time last week. This week I’ll just give her water and flush the soil a bit. Unfortunately, I can’t take pictures with the magnifying glass, and I ordered something that should arrive tomorrow. If it’s any good, I’ll add the pictures later. If a lot more happens in the next few days, I’ll just update here.

PotRul 19.11.2024 Flowering day 65 and still not done. Terpenes are about 50/50 and the trichomes are getting whiter. I also see a few brown trichomes but still too many clear ones. I think it still needs at least 7-14 days. Of course, I could be wrong, so I'm checking daily. The leaves are turning dark, looks really nice. Meanwhile, I think Zamnesia mixed up the strains because this one looks more like a Black Orchid, but we'll see 😂😅 The buds are getting fatter, so I think the yield will be high, let's hope for that. I'm only watering with water, last time I watered was Saturday. This evening it was thirsty again. The fan runs 24 hours in oscillation mode. Unfortunately, I only have a magnifying glass and can't take pictures with it, otherwise I would have uploaded the trichomes a long time ago. The phone attachment I ordered unfortunately didn't work. I need to keep searching for something suitable. I hope you enjoy the pictures and the diary!

PotRul 28.11.2024 Flowering day 74 and I’ve been thinking a lot about whether to add another week, but yes, definitely for you guys because the lady is not done yet. She's turned quite autumnal with beautiful colors. It's just nice to look at! Get a glimpse of those vibrant colors for yourselves! The terpenes are slowly turning more brown. The trichomes are nicely milky now, but unfortunately, I still don’t see any on the buds and just a bit on the sugar leaves. Some of the fan leaves are getting really dry; I hope that doesn’t become a problem. Today she was watered since she’s still quite thirsty. I think she definitely needs a few more days. Since I harvested the Black Orchid, she has more space now. Enjoy watching!

Happy Harvest Day!

OG Kush was my first strain from Amsterdam that I picked out in the coffee shop. After that, everything was history! I have been smoking for 12 years now. And everything started with OG Kush, so it was important for me to start my first indoor grow with it again! The Allmix doesn't suit it very well! Better to start with Lightmix. Otherwise, this plant was colorful and the buds are so fat that I am looking forward to smoking!

PotRul 1.12.2024 Flowering Day 77 and a beautiful plant is coming to its end in a very autumnal way. OG Kush has fascinated me with its width and flowers. At first, I had some issues with the soil and had to flush it out. Otherwise, it never showed any signs of CalMag deficiency. It also tolerated the nutrients very well before going back into flowering. I'm so excited for the smoking experience. You can find everything else from the weeks before. You can see the color splendor in the pictures! The trichomes on the flowers were about 10%, and I wanted to try it this way this time. Next time, I want them to be a bit more brown. I hung them up in the bathroom and am monitoring the humidity and temperature there, as you can see. I think I will remove a few branches and hang them back up to prevent any mold. Personally, I've learned a lot with my first indoor grow. I'm looking forward to the smoking experience to share it with you all. A grow is also possible without a tent if it can't be helped. I decided against it because I just find the ladies so beautiful. Instead, I grew in the gaming/office room with a swivel fan and always checked the temperature and humidity, adjusting it as needed by ventilating the room. I hope you enjoyed my diary. Smoke Review: I don't know if it needs a few more days in the jar, but OG Kush is very strong when smoking! Flavor-wise, it tastes like citrus fruits with an earthy finish and hints of pine. It smells like it tastes. As for the high, I can say it’s very relaxing and euphoric. If you need to function, you can, and if you just want to chill, that works too! That has always been the special thing about this strain for me! They've been in the jar for about 14 days with a Boveda pack at 58%.

Everything looks good. As for mold, as long as you don't go above 65-70% humidity, everything is fine, especially if you keep the fans running; you shouldn't worry too much about your 49%. We don't defoliate at such a late stage anymore. My two autos had a humidity of 50-70% and everything was fine.
PotRul
PotRul commented2y ago
@Termeair, thanks for the helpful tips! Yes, thank goodness it's cooler these days and the humidity is pretty low. As soon as I open the window, it drops by 1% per minute. I'm trying to stay between 40% and 50%. Thanks!
Krisis
Krisis commentedweek 112y ago
I think you’re doing the right thing in not defoliating, especially at this late in the game. Leaves are solar panels taking in light and making energy to grow those buds bigger. I think defoliation is pointless unless it’s to help with air flow, or there’s humidity issues. Everything is looking great to me. Keep up the good work 😀

Check out the crazy shadow that the leaves of the tallest shoot are casting, they need to go because otherwise they steal light from the flowers. Otherwise, good luck with your grow!
PotRul
PotRul commented2y ago
@Seedler, first of all, thanks for the well-intentioned tip, but I won't be doing that. I tried growing on the balcony in the summer like you suggested, and all I got were hermaphrodite plants. When I look at your pictures from your grows, it doesn't look any different from mine. I'd rather accept that the buds won't be too strong.
the end.
