GanjaGecko The seeds were soaked in a glass with two drops of Seedbooster Plus from Plagron for about 18 hours, and then it was time for the future ladies to go into seedling pots. The substrate mix consists of BioBizz Lightmix, about 20% coco with some perlite and Mega Worm from Plagron.
I watered them with BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding.
A total of 5 seeds were prepared. Unfortunately, only 3 saw the light of day. I was hoping for at least 4, ideally all 5, so I could select. Now I've added three more seeds, which were actually meant for the next run from the 5-pack. This way, fate kindly draws attention to other strains that are worth trying out. It's not due to the failures. That just happens. The only downside is that there aren't enough seeds for the next grow, so it will be something a bit different. Now, I'm looking forward to the next run of Blueberry Muffin from the Humboldt Seed Company💚

GanjaGecko The first week of the little ladies hasn't seen much action. After they caught a glimpse of the "world," I checked daily to make sure everything was going well. The humidity fluctuated a bit and averaged around 65%. The damp weather and associated humidity will surely be managed by autumn. The soil in the seedling pots was moistened with water adjusted to a pH of 6.2.
On day 2 of the currently living ladies, I soaked 3 more Blueberry Muffin Seeds with Plagron Seedbooster for 18 hours in a glass and then planted them in the seedling pots. The goal for the 60×60 tent is to have 3 stable plants that grow approximately the same, which will eventually go into flowering. One of the three ladies is growing a bit slower and is therefore a bit smaller. In the last grow, nothing changed about that until the end. That's why the lady that differs the most in height from the others will go into the small tent. I didn't expect two failures, only one. As a result, ruthless selection is now in order. This means that from the three newly planted, only one stable lady needs to come through. If two stable ones come through, I will show mercy and feed 4 ladies. The next 2-3 weeks will tell.
On day 4, the first lady from the replanted seeds emerged. The other ladies haven't shown themselves yet and will be discarded in the next 2 days if nothing happens. I'm so glad I added a few seeds for the next planned Blueberry Muffin grow that didn't make it. I would have been really annoyed. So I'm looking forward to something new in the garden for the next grow.
On day 7, due to a lack of time, I already repotted them in the coming week. I would have preferred to repot between D10-D14. Otherwise, it would have only worked in week 3, which felt a bit late for the small pots. It would have been manageable, but one has to ensure that the substrate doesn't dry out. In a week with little time, that becomes difficult. Therefore, on day 7, the ladies went into 12 fabric pots. The 4 ladies are now settled in the 60×60×180 tent from Spiderfarmer under the large LED, which is the Sanlight EVO 3-60 1.5 with a maximum power of 200W. The full power isn't used here; 150W should be sufficient for 60×60cm. Of course, a bit more wattage brings a bit more, but I want to achieve as much as possible g/Watt.
The ladies were placed in 12L fabric pots with a substrate mix of about 80% BioBizz Lightmix and about 20% coco with perlite (70/30). For the growth phase, there are about 11L of substrate for each pot. The last liter of substrate will be added with the flowering fertilizer when switching the lighting time to 12/12. Additionally, for soil improvements, there was 1 teaspoon per liter of Mega Worm from Plagron. In the pot where the ladies found their place, the substrate was sprinkled with some Great White Mycorrhiza. On the surface, there was about 60g of BioGrow from GreenHouseFeeding, which was thoroughly mixed into the substrate. The recommendation is 3-5g per liter of substrate. In the last grow, I used 4g/L, which was a bit tight for a growth phase of 8 weeks. She couldn't have stayed in growth much longer. That's why I'm going with 5g/L now. There shouldn't be any problems with that. The soil was moistened with a pressure sprayer/tree sprayer, and then each of the four ladies received 1ml/L PowerRoots and 1g/L BioEnhancer. For each, 2× 250ml at a pH of 6.0.

GanjaGecko Week 2 of the ladies went smoothly. They have settled well into their fabric pots and look healthy. Lady #1 & #2 are starting to grow nicely, and the 4-day younger sister is doing well too. With only 3 ladies in the cabinet, it's manageable to keep the difference in check with a bit of training here and there. Lady #1 & #2 could handle 40cm. I've set the light to 50cm distance for another week so it doesn't stress the 4-day younger sister too much and allows her to stretch a bit. For the upcoming third week, the light will go back to 40cm distance and stay at 25%, increasing by 5-10% during the week. This will be necessary for Lady #1 & #2, and Lady #3 should be able to handle it as well.

Watering is done with water that has been aerated for at least 24 hours with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. The amount taken depends on what the ladies need, with some additives depending on their stage.
On day 10, the Blueberry Muffins received 1ml/L PowerRoots. The solution was adjusted to a pH of 6.1. The soil was moistened on the surface, and then each lady got 2×250ml.
On day 13, they received 1ml/L PowerRoots and 1ml/L PureZym. Again, there were 2×250ml with a pH of 6.1.

GanjaGecko Week 3 of the ladies went super. Not much needs to be done at this stage. The LED had to be adjusted daily due to the decent growth of the ladies. Lady#1 has the most even growth for me, Lady#2 stretches a bit more than her two sisters. Therefore, she was topped on day 16 at the fifth node. That should keep the stretching in check for now. On day 19, Lady#1 was topped at the sixth node. Lady#3 has the smallest node spacing and will be left to grow for now. This is probably because she was a late sprout and is 4 days younger. The light that was always adjusted for Lady#1 & #2 was therefore always a bit too strong for the smallest Lady#3. In hindsight, Lady#1 & #2 could have been kept a bit lower for the first 2-3 weeks, so that a bit less light reaches Lady#3 than her sisters, and with her 4 days delay, Lady#3 would have had somewhat optimal ppfd values for her stage. If there’s another latecomer in the future, we’ll have learned something for next time.
For the coming week, the light will be set to around 400 ppfd, so I’m dimming the Sanlight Evo 3-60 1.5 to 35% and keeping a distance of 40cm. It will stay at this value until flowering. Meanwhile, the distance from Lady#3 to the LED is now appropriate. Since she is a bit smaller, she gets a bit less light. I hope she makes a little push. I’ve also set her aside for now so she gets a bit less light. By the end of the week, 4 large fan leaves were removed from both Lady#1 & #2. The topping allowed Lady#3 to catch up a bit.

GanjaGecko Week 4 of the ladies went super well. Lady#1 is developing the best in my opinion. She has a very even growth and node spacing. Lady#2 is stretching a bit too high, and Lady#3 is doing well with a 4-day difference.
On Day 24, the Sanlight EVO 3-60 1.5 was dimmed to 35% = 70W = approx. 400ppfd. This setting will be maintained until the switch to 12/12.
Additionally, on Day 24, the poles for the new SCROG net were cut and installed.
On Day 28, some shoots from Lady#1 & #2 were topped here and there to get the small shoots of the side branches going again. Lady#3 received her first topping of the main stem on Day 28.
For all the ladies, some fan leaves were removed to improve air circulation and allow more light to reach the side branches.

GanjaGecko Week 5 is over. On day 31, some leaves were removed again. On day 34, a few more shoots were topped and a leaf here and there was removed. To better fill the tent, Lady#3 will swap places with her sister, who was originally in the tent and is currently in the 40×40cm tent. Surprisingly, the lady that moved to the smaller tent has developed a bit better despite her two shoots that grew without topping. The switch is necessary. This way, the tent is better filled, and maybe we can save 1 or 2 weeks of growth.
On day 34, the scrog net was installed, and Lady#2 was placed a bit into the scrog net. This gives Lady#1 some time to catch up, and the new/old Lady#3 can also gain some height. Once the three ladies fill the tent well, the young ladies will be sent into flowering. Lady#3 was minimally raised with a cardboard piece so that the height difference to the LED is already a bit smaller. I’m hoping for about 2 to 3 weeks until the ladies go into flowering.
Mother Nature is currently very accommodating. The VPD averages at 0.62, which is quite optimal for the stage.
The temperature is between 23-25°C, and the humidity is between 60-70%.

GanjaGecko Week 6 was a lot of fun. The ladies have been trained here and there into the scrog net and are growing excellently. Lady #2 is currently the strongest. All the ladies are in good shape. I'm hoping for 1 to a maximum of 2 weeks until the ladies are sent into flowering. The humidity is at 60-70% and the temperature is between 23-25°C. The VPD is between 0.6-0.7. Occasionally, the window is opened briefly when the humidity in the room is at 70%. When the humidity drops just below 60%, the window is closed again. This lasts about 3-4 hours. If there were space for a larger tent, a dehumidifier would probably move in. It wouldn't be worth it for the small tent right now. As long as there isn't a larger tent, the VPD will be manually kept under control.

GanjaGecko In week 7, the ladies were switched to 12/12 on day 45, and the Sanlight was dimmed to 50% = 100W for the first week of 12/12. This gives the ladies around 500-550 ppfd. In the second week, it will be dimmed by +5-10%, so it will be approximately 550-600 ppfd, and at the beginning of the third week of flowering, the Sanlight will be dimmed to 150W so that the ladies receive 800-900 ppfd.
With the time change from 18/6 to 12/12, the flowering of the Blueberry will be initiated. The first visible signs of flowering will appear after about 9-10 days. At least, that has been the case the last few times with this strain. Here and there, the Blueberry Muffin has been in the garden 😄
On the fourth day after the switch to 12/12, the stretch is slowly becoming noticeable. The second SCROG net will probably be installed in the coming days as well. This way, the stretched ladies will be supported a bit and won't get in each other's way too much.
For the initiation of flowering, the last liter of substrate and the long-term fertilizer were added to the pot. A mix of about 75% BioBizz Lightmix and 25% Coco with perlite. The Blueberry Muffin now has a total of 12L of substrate, with 55g of BioBloom from GreenHouseFeeding, 10TL of Megaworm, 2TL of Batguano, and 10g of rock dust mixed in.
I will try to keep the humidity between 50-60%, and average temperatures around 24°C shouldn't be too much of a problem for this time of year. The humidity will be kept under control through regular ventilation. This also ensures that if the temperature rises, it will fall back into the "normal" range.
The goal is for the VPD to be between 0.8-1.0 to allow the plant to transpire as well as possible and thus ensure good nutrient uptake.

GanjaGecko In week 8 with the Blueberry Muffins, there was a lot going on. The Sanlight had to be hung daily at a distance of 40cm. Here and there, a few leaves were removed that were covering the shoot tips or had grown so densely that it would have caused poor air circulation. The second layer of the scrog net was installed. This way, the stretched shoots can be accommodated a bit more neatly and will be supported a little when it comes time to flower. Two PC fans were also attached to the poles of the lower scrog net to provide some air circulation under the leaf canopy.
Maintaining the optimal VPD was a bit difficult with the current weather. The temperatures were around 24°C and the humidity around 60%. With occasional ventilation of the room, it occasionally moved towards the desired 50%. Hopefully, the soon-to-be cooler days will make it a bit easier to get the VPD into the optimal range.

GanjaGecko At the beginning of week 9, the first visible buds have formed. 14 days after switching the LED from 18/6 to 12/12, the Sanlight EVO 3-60 1.5 was dimmed to 150W (75%), giving the ladies around 850ppfd from day 15 after the switch to 12/12. A little lollipopping and defoliation has also taken place. This way, the ladies can now put all their energy into the remaining shoots and buds. From now on, the fun part can begin. May the ladies grow nice and fat 🍀💚
Maintaining the VPD was very pleasant this week thanks to the low temperatures. The temperatures in the tent were around 26°C after increasing the LED to 150W, with humidity at 50-55%. It was a bit of work, but during the holiday season, it can be kept somewhat under control by airing out the room whenever the humidity climbs above 60%. With a small open corner at the top of the tent, the humidity stays in the almost optimal range for quite a while. The thought of a dehumidifier is becoming more and more present 😊 It would be very stress-free not to have to ventilate every few hours. Especially when working during the day, a dehumidifier would be very practical during the flowering period to keep the VPD as optimal as possible.

On day 57/13F, the Blueberry Muffins received 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L PureZym, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 2ml/L PK 5•8, and 2ml/L StickyFingers. This was adjusted to a pH of 6.5. Each lady got 1L in the pot and 200ml in the saucer.
On day 59/15F, they received 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 1ml/L PureZym, 2ml/L PK 5•8, and 2ml/L StickyFingers. This was also adjusted to a pH of 6.5. Each lady got 200ml in the saucer and 1L in the pot.
On day 62/18F, they received 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1ml/L, 1ml/L PowerBuds, 2ml/L PK 5•8, and 2ml/L StickyFingers. This was adjusted to a pH of 6.5. Each lady got 1L in the pot and 200ml in the saucer.

GanjaGecko Week 10
At the beginning of the week, Lady#3, who is at the front of the tent, was adjusted a bit more so that she gets closer to the canopy of her two sisters and thus receives a bit more light at her tips. Here and there, a few leaves were removed from all the ladies that were covering other headbuds so that they stand directly in the light.
Maintaining the VPD was very pleasant this week thanks to the low temperatures. With a small open corner at the top of the tent, the humidity and temperature stay in almost optimal range. The temperatures were between 25-26°C and the humidity at 45-50%.
VPD: 1.09-1.25 kPa

GanjaGecko Week 11
The BlueberryMuffins are developing splendidly. Lady #1 & #2 are already showing incredibly beautiful sugar leaves. Along with the sweet scent, the light blueberry tones are slowly coming through, giving the strain its well-deserved name. Lady #3 is quite grateful for the renewed support and is also developing beautiful flowers. Here and there, a few leaves have been removed. And two or three small shoots that didn't find their way and were stunted have also been removed mid-week. This way, the remaining strong shoots get a bit more energy. Lady #1 has quite tight node spacing and is already showing diligent trichome production. Lady #2, on the other hand, has larger spacing but not much less trichomes💚
Lady #3 is a bit of a follower. But she will also turn out wonderful in the end🍀
The stretch has also gradually settled. With 2-3cm in the last week, there won't be much more stretch coming. From now on, it's all about fattening up the buds💚
I'm looking forward to the next few weeks.
Maintaining the VPD was very pleasant this week thanks to the low temperatures. With a small open corner at the top of the tent, humidity and temperature are kept in almost optimal range. The temperatures are between 24-26°C and humidity at 40-50%.

GanjaGecko Week 11
Most of the week was spent watching the buds grow. The stretch has set in. The ladies are visibly focusing on their flowers💚
Midweek, a small additional light was added to the tent. A Far Red light strip in the 730-745nm range - the Spider Farmer SUPP-IR 16. This is turned on as a little sleep aid for the last 15 minutes before the Sanlight goes out and stays on for another 15 minutes after the Sanlight goes out. So a total of 30 minutes. The lighting with Far Red LEDs accelerates the metabolic shift after the light is turned off. This allows the ladies to recover better at night and start the new day refreshed.
Plants have an absorption spectrum that sees Far Red light as an indicator of the onset of darkness. We can take advantage of this fact with artificial lighting.
The absorption of Far Red light waves is managed by the so-called phytochromes. These are a type of photoreceptor proteins that influence a variety of plant growth processes. Phytochromes control processes such as germination, flowering, and photoperiodism, which is the regulation of the day-night cycle. Essentially, there are two types or conformations of phytochromes in plants: The Pr-form (r=red) has its absorption maximum at around 660 nm, and the Pfr-form (fr=far red) at about 730 nm.
What do phytochromes have to do with plant lights? Quite simply: By using the Far Red spectrum, relevant processes like photoperiodism can be targeted to optimize nighttime recovery and thus photosynthesis, leading to better yield results. If the low-energy Far Red radiation is kept on for about 10 to 15 minutes longer than the regular light in the evening, it acts as a "sleep initiator." Plants switch to their natural sleep mode faster this way and can use the extra time for recovery.

GanjaGecko Week 12
The buds have swelled nicely in the last few days. Lady#1 & #3 are quite similar in phenotype. Both have a similar bud structure to Lady#2 from the BlueberryMuffin⁴ run. Lady#1 will most likely finish first. Lady#2, on the other hand, has thicker flowers but will take a couple of days longer than her sisters. All the ladies are pretty much on the home stretch. Next week, there will be the first check of the trichomes. Depending on what the pictures say, harvesting will happen at the latest the week after next🍀 I'm hoping for the end of next week, but I don't know if Lady#2 will be ready by then.

GanjaGecko Week 13
This week, there were only additives until day 94/50F. Since the Blueberry Muffins I've had so far all had a flowering time of about 55-60 days (12/12), there will only be water this week on day 97/53F. The trichomes on Lady#1 matured quite quickly towards the end, so I decided to cut and hang the branches of Lady#1 on day 97/53F. The buds were also very well developed in the lower area, so I could hang Lady#1 with a clear conscience. A not insignificant reason is also that the supplies are running low. 😄 Lady#3 is doing well too. One more week of growth wouldn't have hurt her. She will be hung with Lady#2. In the next run, weaker ladies will be sorted out faster, and the strong ladies will be pushed more. I think Lady#2 needs another week, but she also has thicker buds. Lady#2 was realigned so that more light and air reach the branches and flowers everywhere. At the beginning and maybe again in the middle of next week, there will be a last bit of water with corrected pH value. Then, by the end of next week, the last two ladies will be hung to dry.
Maintaining the VPD was a bit more work this week than in the previous weeks. Towards the end of the week, when the outside temperatures were back in the low single digits, it was a bit easier to keep the VPD under control again. The tent was opened ¾ at the front, and the door of the room where the tent is located was propped open. This kept the humidity and temperature in a somewhat optimal range. The temperatures are between 24-26°C and the humidity at 40-50%. VPD: 1.09-1.32 kPa

On day 99/55F, Lady#3 was also hung up to dry. This gave Lady#2 some extra space to stretch out a bit. By the end of this week, on day 104/60F, the last Blueberry Muffin was also hung up. Lady#2 has developed beautifully again and has produced some nice thick buds. The harvest update will follow around next week when all the ladies are prettied up for the jars and weighed.
Keeping the VPD was a bit easier this week. Now that the outside temperatures are back in the low single digits, it was a bit easier to control the VPD again. Ein Strain in den ich mich sehr verliebt habe. Ich krieg von diesen Blueberry-terps nicht genug. Die Terps sind bei allen Phenos ziemlich ähnlich. Der Ertrag unterscheidet da doch etwas mehr.

GanjaGecko With the temperatures outside slightly below zero, it was a bit difficult or rather impossible to maintain the 60% humidity for a gentle drying process. I couldn't lower the heating any further either, as the next ladies have already hatched and prefer it a bit warmer. So after 5 days, the harvest was prepared, and then the ladies went into the jar with 58% Boveda packs.
wow, this is pure bud porn - massive crystalline buds with super colors
have fun at the harvest
and thanks for your rating and your review
and if you voted for us in the awards🙏😎
Thank you. BlueberryMuffin is already super delicious. Unfortunately, it's a strain that doesn't yield an incredible amount. There are one or two phenos that have some really fat buds. Here’s Lady#2, which was harvested last, and the Blueberry pheno from the ABC run also had some pretty thick flowers. However, the taste definitely makes up for it. It's quite similar across all phenos.
Thank you, Growmie🤙🏼 I unfortunately don't have the comparison to DJ Short's strain. I can only rave about the one from HSC😄 If another strain smells more like blueberry, that would definitely be something worth trying. I have to honestly say that I find it hard to imagine😄
@GanjaGecko, I believe it! I just have a Blueberry Cupcake hanging to dry here. I even got to try some already. It's incredible what the guys at Humboldt are doing. This stuff is so strong and stinky, and it doesn't even trigger the slightest paranoia. Just Indica right in the face - good night! Plus, it has a 10/10 bag appeal. Insane. I can't praise it enough. I'd love to try the Muffin too. Pancake as well! I'm not entirely sure, but I think the pleasant narcotic effect comes from the (Wedding) Cake. Maybe I should get that too. It doesn't stop so quickly :) With this, I've finally found what I've been looking for years. Getting high as much as I want without feeling paranoid.
@SpliffyRand, that must be awesome. I'm happy for you that something is drying. I also found BlueberryMuffin to be super suitable for everyday use in terms of flavor, and the high is really pleasant. Depending on the pheno, I found it hard to get over 1g/W. There are one or two phenos that can produce a decent yield, but most phenos have a somewhat modest yield. The BlueberryMuffin pheno from the ABC run was my favorite. It had really nice blueberry terps and a good yield. A few strains from Humboldt are definitely still on my list to grow.😄
