So as soon as I cropped out my summer fall collection a local growmie gifted me some clones of Humboldt Seed Co Blueberry Muffin.
I have been told they have had some IPM during their gestation but I sprayed with neem oil once. Then maybe another treatment.
But just a few days after their transplant they are looking very happy. I'm happy as well since my growmie was gracious even more I was gifted some outdoor buds. Tasty as all hell I'm super excited to see if I can max out the terp profile. Whish me luck.
So this week not much has gone on. I threw in 3L of feed during transplant. Oddly this was more than enough to satisfy their needs. We are day 10 from transplant and I have still haven't watered or fed.
I'm considering doing another feed because I'm worried that at the rate their drinking they'll be half way done and deficient.
As for IPM I sprayed a second time day 7 of some neem oil. So far so good fingers crossed to the ganja gods.
Did some topping of a few plants and some easy to do LST.
Plants are looking great and are responding well to training. I can see why a lot of growers say this is a great beginner strain.
Well this week was great. I did end up feeding all again again. This time base nutes were upped to 1ml per L. This plant loves to be topped. Multiple top nodes on the ones I topped. LST is also going well, but on my next run of this strain I will prefer to top. This strain is easily trainable. I have had such an easy time in veg. I normally do a feed water feed cycle. Now it's been more feed feed water. Today I hit 3 plants with 4 liters of water with a healthy helping of fish shit. Only a few more weeks vegging out these plants. If your a beginner this is the strain is right for you. Sure you won't be throwing up high THC numbers but the terps my buddy has for his outdoor is crazy. Looking forward to the new year and a quick flowering cycle.
This week again has gone very well. I have not raised the base nutrients as I found it not to be necessary. My canopy is very even and these plants are so incredibly easy to train. Ther also very bushy and I had to do a considerable ammount of defoliation. I suspect 2 to 3 more weeks before I flip. We have a few days left till I hit 30days from transplant. Once my canopy hits 18 inches veg will be complete. Looking forward to a fast flower period.
This week went great. I had to do a lot of defoliation. These are very bushy plants and vertical growth has slowed down a bit. I recently upped the base nutrients to full strength. I stated that my height limit was 18 inches I may not reach that since I am on a schedule. So probably another week of veg and I'll flip these ladies. Merry Christmas.
This is the final post in veg. Unfortunately I stepped on the gas a tad to much when it came to watering. So there are a few blemishes on the plants but it happens to the best of us. This strain has really been fun to grow. It's really surprising to see a strain that doesn't drink all that much. Training is very very easy as you can see from my very even canopy. I just recently flipped the lighting schedule to 12-12. I fed 1 plant with grow base but in two days I will be switching to bloom. I decided to add honey chome due to the fact that the flowering period is so short. Happy New Year everyone.
So since this is such a fast flowering strain I decided to switch to bloom a few days after flip. Boy have they budded quickly. I'm not so sure this strain will shoot up on me. It's growth power lies more in the horizontal rather than vertical. If I SCROGed I would be in heaven with this strain. It is so incredibly easy to train a child could do it. Going to add King Kola next week. All pictures were taken on day 9 of flower.
Sorry for the late post I forgot to do an update. Things are going ok. The plants have not stretched as much as I hoped. But the smell seems to be developing already. Small heads of purple flowers are abundant. I don't think this will be a huge harvest for me which is kind of a bummer. But given my friend's sample he gave me I should have some great quality. I paid next to nothing in expenses for this crop not to mention zero dollars on the clones so I really shouldn't complain much. I am just so shocked at how little you need to water/feed them. I dialed back and I can easily go a week without touching these plants. I have also noticed since switching to flower that the plants demand a lot of feed. I have noticed some deficiencies in some plants so I plan to do 2 feeds and 1 water the rest of the grow. I'm just wondering how the hell I'm going to leach these out in a month. I added King Kola this week and will be upping the base next week.
To be honest this is the most half assed grow I have ever done. The stretch is almost non existent with this strain. I suspect I will get a low yield from these ladies. Which is surprised considering they had a month and a half to veg out. But at least I won't be in trim jail for long. The smell is amazing and that seems to be the only real up side to this grow. Plant really only need servicing once a week. At least I'm saving a lot in nutrients. But hey only have a few weeks left then they will get the chop.
