Week one for my second attempt at sweet seeds cream manderine xl auto. First run was a failure. Made some rookie mistakes :-(. Second times the charm though!! She seems to be off to a solid start. I am struggling with low humidity but she doesn’t seem to care. She is getting plain pH 6.5 water and not much at this point.

Week 2 for this cream manderine xl auto by sweet seeds. She is doing great! She has been the best out of the gate of the three ladies I have on the go right now. I introduced very light nutrients this week. 0.3ml grow big by fox farm in the 500ml she drinks every other watering along with 1 ml of root stim per 500ml of water. I am really enjoying this lady and hopeful for the coming weeks 😁

Week 3 has been a fairly eventful week. She has grown a bunch and she was also topped (my first time topping). Topping her didn’t seem to slow her down at all!! I feel like she is gonna be a big plant. Much bigger then my Northern lights that is just two days younger. (See my other diary for that one). I am feeding: 1 ml of Grow Big per litre 1 ml of Root Stim per litre 0.5 ml of Floronectar per litre. She gets water every 3 days at this point. Although I have turned my second 1000 watt LED on so temps have gone up a bit so might have to start watering more often. Time will tell All in all I am really happy with this sweet seed xl auto so far. 😎

Week 4 has gone reasonably well aside from a sign of nitrogen toxicity (see pictures). I have done a flush and she will be on plain pHd water this week or I may add a little fox farm big bloom (we will see how things go) The growth has been good aside from the nitrogen issue. She has really branched out and preflower has started 🤩. The exciting part is around the corner!!😎

Hi all. I have started to notice that some stems are turning red and their is reddish/purple veins appearing on the branching. See pictures to see what I am talking about. Do I have an issue on my hands or should I just keep doing what I’m doing? I did a flush last watering.

Hey there so just a couple things...1st the nitrogen claw, i think if you back off the N intake like you mentioned it should calm down, it didn't look like you'd gotten to the point of no return. Regarding the red stems etc. No one seems to have mentioned that a phosphorus deficiency will usually cause this, along with the dark coloring on leaves and then into having some spots as well. Often mixed up with other deficiencies. But you mentioned doing a ph'd flush for a week...maybe with her headed into flowering it threw her off since they're very P hungry during those first weeks of flowering? I'd up the tiger bloom to a teaspoon and watch for a change. I have some sour stompers who were having excessive red and as i increased the tiger the red/purple became far less intense. Good luck with the grow, don't give up on her yet there's still lots of time to show what she's got.✌️

The simple answer here is to all CalMag to your nutrient solutions mix up . If you add CalMg to your plant nutrient line up and its still ends up being like that its a genetical trait carried over from a parent genetic . This happens sometimes I experienced it in my GG#4 grow it was pretty cool to see :) . I hope this information helps you determine better what your issue is wether its genetic trait or CalMg deficiency . Over all its looking pretty good and I wish you the best of luck on the remainder of your grow !! - Happy Growing!

Yeah the purplish at that stage is due to a magnesium deficiency ( cal mag are not optional with coco, each watering require some ). Oh and by the way I've been growing the Cream mandarins fast version for more than a year and this strain have pirplelish colours on the stems / leaves and buds during flowering ✌️🏼

Week 5 for this CM xl auto by sweet seeds. Week 5 started out good but mid week she got really droopy and a lot of clawing in the leaves. There is a lot of red in the stems and on the branches which is a bit concerning. I tried a different mixture of amendments to my soil and I think I have created a bit of a hot soil as there have been multiple signs of too much N. I did a flush so hopefully things improve. I am only feeding lightly with Fox Farm Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. I have been alternating them every other watering this week. I would normally still feed some Grow Big but I am having N issues already so that would just make things worse. I am sure this plant won’t reach its potential but I am going to give it my best to get her across the finish line. Enjoy the pics all. PS. Please feel free to write any suggestions as to how I can help remedy my excess nitrogen issue. Any tips would be helpful. 😎

Week 6 has seen flowering start. Growth has really stalled this week (not throwing out many fans leaves and all vertical growth seems to have stopped). She is starting to show slight yellowing spots on some of the lower older fan leaves so I have started to add a little cal/mag. We will see if this helps things.
