Week 1 : Blueberry cookies Vertafort
Vertafort was a different trip to work with 50gs seemed so mall for my 20L 5 gal bucket, but the soil was nice so whatever, added mycotrex in the plug's hole directly touching the plug, watered 2L with the biotabs juice bactrex and orgatrex, then on day 3 again with 2L plain tap water, the medium is wet now, dont expect to need to water it until after the weekend. Sprayed it with boom boom spray trying to keep the humidity up but now the room is at a cozy 63 RH.
VPD day 3 0.5 - 1.1 pot is drying up at a decent rate already
So i think the overwatering led these to stretch a bit, this one stretched so much i needed to put it on some training wheels , what i'll do before next watering is add some lightmix as a top layer, it'll help lock this seedling in better and help with drying out the medium by sucking the moisture upwards. Take a look at the picture you can see the puffy space in between the veins of the leaves. medium still moist so will wait until the medium flirts with the dry side of the scale before i water again.
@CRiSPrGrow,Sorry for the delay,I personally prefere a softer lst technique,yo can also plant the seedling closer to one side of the pot, anyways I am a complete newbie on those matters sorry :C,have luck buddie
@GrimbolTheDruid, ah, the magic grow master pinch, this is what i'll do next time. i think it sort of forces the plant juices back towards the side branches too right? this is good, will try this... i also saw @dudegrowsweed just give his plants a little pinch at the apex during veg, same principle i guess?
@CRiSPrGrow,
Got a better look and yeah man the hooks thing looks like it works great. I grabbed some foam wire ties from my local garden store and never looked back.
@CRiSPrGrow, Thanks. I've made a aloe cocktail and added it now to my juvinile plants. I've scratched the transluscent gel out from the leaves, then mix it with some rainwater and juiced it in my liquidizer. I'll observe the results. I didn't ph'd it tho. Will do so next time.
Something else struck - you know my outdoor growing environment gets very hot at the moment, sometimes in excess of 40DegC (104DegF) - me thinking that this aloe additive might even be good for adult plants in extreme heat - I mean no plants handles the heat better than an aloe. I googled, but didn't find much about on this topic. What's you opinion about it ? Guess can't do any harm adding it anyway.
@mad_scientist , i have this PK booster from biotabs available, i'm just waiting for the flowers to be the size of my thumb before i add it, but my question is : will the Mr. B's enriched soil be able to "take" the organic PK powder thing, or will it be too much ?
@blazin_skywalker, thanks B ! ๐ still updating this diary somehow, i'll try to get some better pics in here, maybe join the pets contest - are you joining this too ? ๐
Right or wrong LST, I bent the girls right over. It's all about getting light to the nodes for more branching (since autos are said to dislike topping), and spreading out the colas, and keeping the plant shorter for greater light penetration in flower....right? That being said, I'm sure some autos can be pushed harder than others without stressing. My (one and only) experience taught me to get the girl trained early, since veg. time is so short.
@DeaneR,i also use the 18/6 light cycle and its all in the cutting proces when you cut the fanleaves daily and keep them under 5 fingers you can prolong the veg and as long as you only keep the top 3 to 4 nodes on every branch you should be golden when you do extended training like flux or mainline and if you think that there big enough just let them go for a week and they Will start flowering it may take a few grows to master the technique but once you have it its well worth the effort and flux training works best(for me maybe not for others) ๐๐
@AstroBoy, yea it's getting crowded now lol, i wasnt 100% aware of what was getting into, gonna start watering with a water pump and a hose i think....lol oh dear...
Another solid week, 26 weeks total, wow. What a long haul, you must be getting anxious, I know I wouls be. Haha.
This is a winner. Can't wait to see the harvest report!
Happy growing!
@Puffer_Bill, that being said, I've done a 25 week auto and made a diary lol, let make it available for you just check now it's called stem splitting, start at the beggining
At week 24 sheโs looking amazing how much longer do you think this marathon grow is still gonna take for lmao ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ and i wanna learn that technique seriously ๐๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Great grow!!
Your harvest report, smoke report was written well and informative. Great to be able to read a diary and help you decide what strain you want to grow.
Thank you for sharing!
@BarrieGrower, much appreciated ha it's a question of taste buds i swear too many folks dont cure or dry well enough. Then there's hard to describe tastes, for example kush or whatever, but still, let me know if you have any questions
@CRiSPrGrow, not sure , I was chatting with them yesterday but was busy , they need help with every aspect of growing by the sounds of it ,
From lights , too soil too temps and nutrients ect , so I am hardly the person too give advice being a newbie my self , your the expert around here bulbi lol ;)
I my self am struggling with the nutrients I am using my self as it's the very first time I've used the addatives and nutrients I am now ,
But so far so good for me , I may even try and creep up the amounts I am adding , I am only using a very small peat plug too germinate the seed , the rest in my pots is a soil and coconut husk mix , so the peat is only important for the first 3 or 4 days of life
@LockDownGrow, that's the one man, i dont understand why @kostecs cant click on your name and follow your grows - they're perfect for what he needs to know... ๐
@CRiSPrGrow, just received it and my first impression is that the smart protein smells so damn good. I'll try it and the beneficials on my flowering photos but I think it would have more visual impact during veg period.
@Wicked_Stix, I tried the col. silver but it was on an auto and may have not started soon enough or went long enough, still have half a bottle I may try later
@CRiSPrGrow, I did not get seed from the spray, I am thinking it was an auto and perhaps I did not start soon enough or go long enough. I have a grow now I was trying to find a male, but so far they all seem female, I did 4 reg. mr g13x hp but I may get lucky if a male shows, like almost the second week of flower, but I am not seeing the male as of yet, to me all female looking. still happy with that. cheers growmie
@CRiSPrGrow, confused! U have a master tag by ur avatar? How do u get that if ur a newbie? I canโt wait to get mine but I think Iโve got alot of growing to do...
Come on bulbi please name one of your nutrient mixes Bulbi Magic Sauce, or Secret Stuff. ๐RickDiculous Fart Juice(Sulfur always made me think of farts....hot springs. Lol)
@LockDownGrow, done that last night mate, oh my days you'll like this diary you will : only dry nutes , three different line ups three different pots one strain all fully bio , gonna be only water and sunshine from now on (more or less ๐ )
@CRiSPrGrow, just bare in mind that these and most autos do not take well too being transplanted and often can lose a week while they recover too being moved , so get them in there pot as soon as you can and put that root too use ,
@HighRoller909, yeah man i seen that happen to other folks on here, unstable genetics or whatever the f else i dont know what to tell you bro, sorry you have to go through this man
@CRiSPrGrow,guess what. I'm growing a plant that is supposed to flower automatically but it doesn't (week 9)
What's even interesting is; it didn't show any signs of flower after 2 weeks of 12/12
