Imperium X, Gelato Dream

Headbang Today, the 5 have moved for the first time. I helped the Cookie Mint a bit, hope it makes it now. Light at 40%. On the last day of the 1st week, the little ones moved into their new home.

Headbang Today marks the start of week two. They're developing well, gave a light nutrient dose for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately, the Cookie Mint didn't make it and has been disposed of now.

Headbang With the start of the third week, the ladies have gotten a new home again. Now they get to really root here before they go into the final pot. I was amazed by the root structure of the Gelato Dream, it's really beautifully developed. The lamp is currently turned up to 70%.

Headbang Not much happened this week. The soil was too wet. In the last two days, you could slowly see some progress again. In the next few days, it's going to the other tent.

Headbang Starting in week 5. They're doing quite well at the moment. I hung the lamp at a distance of 60cm and set it to 30% power. Fertilizing was done with half the dosage. They can stay in the pot for another week, then they'll go into their final one. So at the end of week 5, the ladies got their final pots. The soil was amended with a bit of dolomite lime to create a better CaMg ratio. Additionally, the ladies received half the dosage for watering (except for the Root, which got the full dose). The lamp is now hanging at a distance of 50cm and 35% power. Currently, the ladies have handled the repotting well; pictures were taken about 4 hours after repotting. What stood out again was the root structure of the Gelato Dream.

Headbang Starting in week 6. On the last day of week 5, there were new pots again. The ladies handled the move pretty well. They get to root for another two weeks before going into flowering. On day 3 of week 6, there was a bit of LST and defoliation.

Headbang With the start of week 7, there was the last LST and defoliation. I should definitely get a handle on the CaMg issue this week. Depending on how they do now, they can grow for another week or two. Then it's off to flowering. In the back, still the two Gelato, front right and middle is Imperium, and on the left is the freebie Gorilla Zkittles. Update: I think I've got the CaMg problem under control; no further symptoms have appeared. In between, there might have been a slight zinc deficiency on one Gelato Dream, but again, no further symptoms except for one or two leaves with burnt tips. On the penultimate day of week 7, I did some LST on a few shoots to make the most of the space. The micropens were left out during watering this time. I was finally able to raise the pH of the substrate with continuous watering of pH between 6.3 - 6.6; now I'm at 6.1 - 6.2 pH, previously always below 6.

Headbang After exactly 7 weeks of growth, today was the first long night. I'm curious to see how they develop. In the next few days, I'll do the first flowering fertilization. So on day 3 of flowering, I did some splashing again, this time with fertilization after 3/4 Chema. I have to say the Gelatos are doing really well right now. The light starts at 20%. After an hour, it goes up to 30%, then up to 35% by the sixth hour, and then back down to 30% and back to 20% in the last hour. I will increase the power by 10% each week until it reaches 80%-90%.

Headbang We're starting the second week of flowering :) there's not much to say, they all look good and are doing well right now. Second day of the second week: Gelatos and Gorilla Zkittels are growing tremendously. I'm longing for Bt 21 to fertilize the jungle. Edit: The height experiment has been conducted; I've had the lamp at about 60cm for around 6 days, which has helped the ladies grow a bit taller, should be visible in the pictures.

Headbang New week, new luck. Um, yeah, what can I say, the height difference between the Gelatos and Imperium is now 15-20cm. Since they have stretched so much, I've decided to place four full-spectrum bars on the sides. They are now also well-lit from below. Small update: the Gelatos are about 115cm tall with the pot now 😄 the Imperium is a good 20 cm shorter.

Headbang Started in week 4, had already defoliated well two days ago. Now the ladies should just thrive in peace. Edit towards the end of week 4. The Gorilla Zkittels is showing a zinc deficiency 🤔. It's getting brown spots. I also noticed this on a leaf of an Imperium and a Gelato. Could just be a burn, right? Edit on the last day of week 4. I've decided to completely leave out CalMag and reduce the fertilizer to 1/4. I've also adjusted the pH to 6.6 for this watering. In week 5, I will water again with exactly this mixture and observe whether the brown spots increase or decrease. If they increase, I will give CalMag again, but this time 1.5ml per L.

Headbang Welcome to week 5. I'm noticing a blockage after a total of about 11 weeks. I left out the Calmag and reduced nutrients to 1/4. I initially wanted to do a small flush but then decided against it. I'll see what happens; for now, I'll keep watering and see if it improves. Otherwise, they look quite happy. I'm looking forward to the last few weeks. Edit towards the end of the week. As you can see, it's not getting better; I would even say it's getting worse. The Gorilla Zkittels is really struggling. Currently still at 1/4 chema without Calmag and pH adjusted. Last day of the week, watered again like before. I believe it's starting to stop, but I could be mistaken; I hope it stops in the coming week.

Headbang So starting in week 6. I'm still having headaches from the Imperium and Gorilla Zkittels. I don't see any improvement yet; it's been 10 days since I almost completely reduced the nutrients and left out the CalMag entirely. I think I'll add the CalMag again during the next watering, this time at 1.5ml/L. I hope I can get it under control soon. I can't explain why only these three are affected. CalMag has always been the same for all, just like the rest. The Gelatos are looking the best. I've decided to go all out this time with feeding, using everything I can. I'm curious to see how they handle it. So on the last day of week 6, I did a little grooming again; now it's time for the final stretch 😀

Headbang So welcome to week 7, from now on it can only get better 😃. Here’s the plan I have in mind: I’m going to completely skip the nutrients for the next few times except for the Bloom and the Top Max. Um, yeah, yesterday I removed a bit more biomass, and this should be the final haircut. I’ll slowly start with the UVB at the beginning of the week now. I’m thinking of keeping it at a 60cm distance and 15 minutes. Better safe than sorry 😀. The Sanlight is now running at 90%, and the Light Bars at 100%, meaning 4x 10W, 40W. I’m curious to see how the lower buds develop with the additional light from the side. So, last day of week 7. The Gorilla Zkittles will only get water from today on, and the others will be on a two-day alternating schedule.

Headbang Welcome to week 8. According to the plan, the last one for the Gorilla, I'll take a closer look at the trichomes this week. The Gelatos and Imperium can grow for a whole week longer anyway, maybe even two for the Imperium. I'm excited, everything looks pretty good right now. Another update for week 8: the Gorilla Zkittels will stay for a few more days along with the Gelatos, which look the furthest along.

Headbang So the 9th week begins and I'm curious to see what the trichomes are doing now. The two Gelatos are the furthest along, I think in two or three days it will be time. The Gorilla Zkittels still needs about a week, but it's still quite clear. The Imperium X definitely has a bit more time. I'm very excited, it looks very promising 😁. Little edit for the middle of the week. The Gorilla Zkittels has really picked up the pace, I think it will be harvested tomorrow on day 61 just like the Gelatos 😄

Headbang Pictures before harvesting. Report will follow in a few weeks. Currently, there's still a Gelato in the tent that's up tomorrow. So today was the day, and the second Gelato was ready 🙏🏻. Currently, what can I say, expectations definitely met. The two have really delivered, and the wet weight is just as shown in the pictures. Update One of the two Gelatos is really top-notch. Super resinous and powerful; the second one is doing its job but definitely not like its sister 😁. I still have to keep one of those, and I hope it has the genetics of the better one 😃 overall a top strain.
