Here we are again! First time trying this strain, but I do like most purple crosses, they tend to be good yielders. Took three days to break soil and by day 4 I pulled the germination domes because they all had first set of leaves starting. Time to set the light height and let the vegging begin! Starting in the 3x3 for 2-3 weeks while things finish up in the 4x4. I do like the smaller tent for starting, easier to hit higher heat and humidity with less effort and power involved. Lights 50% @ 38" height Temps 27°C Humidity 65%

Week one of veg has come and gone and these girls are looking on point at the end of the week. Everyone praying for sunlight, no burnt tips, and already working on their third set of leaves. Have each plant a bit of support on second day of the week as they were tilting over, they were quite top heavy already for their poor little stems. Oscillating fan giving them all a breeze with visible slight movement so I'm attributing it to the very fast growth. Same thing happened last run and no issue because of it. At this rate the taps will be on sometime next week! Man I love growing strains by Crossbone Genetics, all have been very healthy hearty plants with little to no issues and great yields. Nice to support a fellow Canadian

Happy Christmas Eve everyone! It's the morning of Day 14 of veg and these girls are off to a fantastic start! All four plants recovered well from their initial tip over and are standing tall and strong with nice size stalks. I think my theory is good that they are just growing lead so fast in week 1 that they need a bit of support. Plant structure is looking great, nice spacing between branches and good healthy colour. Plants are feeling light and looking thirsty, they've finally drank through the initial 3L watering when setting the pots. 18 days from seed still faster than my average 20-21 days for system syartup. Will be turning on the pots this afternoon after I finish cleaning the system from last run. Was going to use an old set of OG valves, but figure now that the 5.0 valves are done their run might as well clean em and use them instead. The larger tube diameter does wonders for avoiding clogged lines, and it means I won't have to clean the OG valves after only a weeks use once they more to the big tent. Removed the bottom two set of branches from each plant mid week and left the leaves, no point in letting them grow in only to cut them after but plants to benefit from leaving the leaves. Helps them absorb enough light, and it's my third or fourth time doing this and never seem to notice them stress, where as when I remove the leaves and branches they look stressed for a day or so. Less stress the better with autos, short lifespan have to keep everything on point for good yields! Lights 75% @ 28" 500-515 umol/s 4" exhaust at 10% power Oscillating fan on low and set high up All intakes closed

Happy new years all! A day late updating the diary this week as we were ringing in the new year yesterday with good friends and a day of good food and good smoke. Was a typical week three of veg, and by that I mean explosive growth for all four girls! Probably because on first day of the week (Day 19 seed) they got the AutoPots turned on and the standard feed started. No air domes until the move to the big tent. Got the harvest done in the 4x4 on third day of the week (Day 22 Seed) and promptly cleaned and sterilized the equipment before moving in the new tenants, who were quickly filling in their old home (the 3x3). Am running the front two plants on risers as they are slightly shorter than the rear two so far. Wouldn't be surprised if they catch up, if not will have to see how high I can raise and still get flow from the reservoir. May end up having to raise the res, we shall see what happens. Some leaf tucking on each of the girls after the tent move and again at the end of the week. Leaves are the huge and narrow just like Sativa plants tend to grow. Also means these plants could get pretty large, especially with the early burst in height. Removed the lowest 2 sets of fan leaves from each plant as now they are not getting any light and just contesting airflow near the soil due to their size. Lights 80% @ 18-20" 580-620 umol/s Fans idle and run very rarely at 10% Humidifier in tent to help for now

Well another week has passed and these girls are still shooting for the stars! Lots of growth again with plant heights ranging from 18-34". Three of the plants are 18-24" and the one monster in the back is a good 10" bigger. Means the back left and front right get the right amount of light, front left is a little lacking, and back right is showing a bit of signs of stress being so much closer to the light. Still OK, but if the size differences start to vary more than they are I may have to think of options. Hoping the big one stops soon and that the other three catch up. The one does seem 4-7 days ahead of the other so heres to hoping! Did I light defoliation early week just removing six to eight leaves per plant, and then a bigger defoliation today removing the most inner stem from every main branch and more leaves. None of which were getting much light being close to the center of the canopy, and also really helps open up airflow. There were a few leaves that were wet, had been stacked right against others and couldn't transpire properly. Also did a good training session on the front right plant today. All the others responded to the leaf tucking very well and more mostly spread out nice with only one or two ties needed. Front left was growing with all the branches right to the main stalk with little airflow, ended up having to tie almost every branch! Should help a lot, hopefully see some faster growth from this one soon. Removed humidifier early week as the girls are keeping the tent up around 65% on their own. Lights 12-18" @ 80% 900-650 umol/s 4" intake 30% 6" exhaust 20% 6" oscillating fan 30%

So at start of week i raised the three smaller plants and evened out the canopy. That lasted maybe two days and then back right took off and is again 6-8" taller than any other plant hahah. Was able to raise the reservoir and the water lines to maintain flow to all the pots. Rest of week was hands off as I had family in town for a few days so just kept the reservoir filled. Last day of the week gave the girls a decent defoliation and adjusted the ties, attempting to fill every spot in the tent. Now there is a slight space in the center, but it will fill in as the girls grow. Starting to get a little worried with how big these girls are getting. Already they are 8-10" bigger than the Night Howler autos I grew last year, and those were my biggest ever with two plants ending ABOVE the lights!! Hope the big one stops soon, but as a precaution I have removed the filter and placed on end of exhaust, gaining another 8" of room to raise the light. Driver also outside tent this run, so will gain 2" over previous ones. Plants are needing a bit more defoliation than normal, with their enormous leaves they fill the tent very quickly! Before defoliation was full shade under canopy, now getting light/air through. Let's see what happens this week, I'm expecting some decent growth from left two plants, hoping to get them off the Milk crates soon and nice to have an even canopy for more consistent bud quality and whatnot. Well it finally happened, the girls have outgrown the 4x4! Was mid week and was having a hard time keeping humidity below 65%. Thought of defoliating, but can't keep doing that weekly or it will shock them sooner than later. So I decided to move the front left plant to the 3x3 under the Photontek SQ300W, giving the girls in the 4x4 some much needed breathing room. Set about retraining the plants to maximise space in the big tent, and then flattened out the lonely girl in the 3x3. Crazy enough the 4x4 still looks full by end of week, and the one by itself is getting close to filling the 3x3! This could be a pretty big grow by the time we finish 🤞. Have the solo plant running on the older Autopot valves with 6mm hose, and already had one clogging issue. Seems really early on, in past would take 2-3 weeks so thinking maybe I didn't have the lines 100% clean to start. Either way easy fix just blow out the clog and flush the lines with a liter or so and back in business. Always remember to flush the on/off valve as well as the main valve in the tray. Otherwise raised the lights in 4x4 to their max height (5" from roof) and took all the slack out of the cables to keep them off the lights. Adjusted the ties on last day of the week, but things seem pretty set now in the big tent so will just be widening out the lone girl once she grows a bit more. I'm sure by end of week that tent will be packed as well!

This week flew by and aside from adjusting the LST at beginning and end of week I did not do much except keep the reservoirs full and raise the light in the 3x3 every few days. With all the training on the Lonely Girl (formerly front left) she only grew 3-4" higher but really filled in so should see some good growth this week . She's also finally hit flower with bud sites popping out everywhere! In the 4x4 the left plant is still kinda sad looking, leaves never seem perky, starting to think the may just need a bit of a drying out, maybe started her valve a few days too early and just hasn't caught up? We shall see. The plants on the right are towering, a good 12-20" taller than the left side. These two are in full flower mode and starting to stack now that the bud sites have come in. At this rate there almost visually looks like 1.5-2 weeks difference between the taller and shorter plants, even though all germinated on same day. Plants are weird like that sometimes! But might mean the 4x4 will only have the one plant for the last week or two, sometimes can really help boost the yield. Hoping to see the last plant explode with bud sites this week, and maybe some colour starting on the bigger girls. Was a very hands off this week for the girls. Only thing done in the 4x4 was removing one of the plant stands and lowering the left plant by four inches keeping her 18" from the light. Good to finally see her starting flower and getting a bit of a height boost, was starting to worry she stalled out but just a slower plant. Kinda funny how all plants same strain yet two are towering monsters and about two weeks ahead of the other two. The smaller plants are quite bushy though, and I'm sure we will see stretch now that pistils are finally developing. Did a good cleaning of the reservoir for the 4x4 as well as all the lines and on/off valves. Lines weren't blocked but flow was reduced to about 50% of normal. I had slacked a bit on the weekly line flushing so that didn't help. The Autopot valves still look clean enough, has been a month since a full clean, so will probably get cleaned next week or two. So far the lines in the 3x3 are staying clear, I flush them twice a week since only have the 6mm lines B's the 9mm in the 4x4. Will try and wait another week or so to defoliate the shorter plants, but the larger two will be done this week. Want to maximise airflow and light penetration see if we can really get these buds plumped up. 3x3 Lights 80% @ 20" 650umol/s Exhaust 4" @ 20% Passive intake only Oscillating fan 30% 4x4 Lights 80% @ 8-18% 650-900umols Exhaust 6"@ 20% Intake 4" @ 30% Oscillating fan 30%

Sooooo we had a bit of an issue this past week, being that the small plant in the 4x4 decided to grow nuts! Was checking out the plants Friday evening when I spotted them, glad I did because looking back at last week's pics there were some then I didn't see, lucky nothing broke open and released any pollen! This is the first plant I've had get herm from Crossbone, and I blame it mostly on myself. This one plant was unfortunately heavily stressed, had a few branches break just before flower, and never seemed to take off properly. Was stunted from the get go, and was also the one that never looked happy. Come to think of it, this is also the plant where the roots somehow evaded the root control and made their way into the aquavalve where I then had to cut them to keep valve working. Too bad, but hey shit happens, and the tent was WAY too packed anyways so now the two giants have room to breath and finish properly. No trouble getting humidity down now with less air flow. Otherwise plants are looking great, the two giants only a few weeks from finish and just absolutely covered in trichomes with the purple really starting to show in the buds. The Lonely Girl in the 3x3 seems to be doing well, but hasn't really taken off into flower. Visually looks like it's maybe week two flower, no buds yet but a LOT of pistils so still hoping it develops and doesn't turn into another issue like the other short plant. If it does bud and finish she will be a good 4 weeks behind the other two. Still not sure why/how it got so far behind, but still hoping for the best. Because she looks so far behind I ran the week 2 flower nutrient schedule. She has grown 4-6" and has filled in very nicely, 3x3 basically full now just hoping for some bud growth this week 🤞. Let's think happy thoughts and see how this week goes!

Well this may be the last entry in this diary before the harvest post! The big girls in the 4x4 have been switched to just RO water and Flawless Finish for their final week. Leaves are yellowing and dying off as final nutrients are pulled from them. Buds are swollen, firm and stanky with two different variants. One a nice purple, the other a green bud with hints of purple and bright orange hairs. See if they change any more as they finish off. The 3x3 on the other hand STILL has not started flowering properly. It's been a few weeks with little to no change so two days ago I flipped the light to 12/12 cycle. Maybe we get lucky and it forces a flower, kinda like jump-starting a car? If nothing in a few weeks will have to get rid of her. Too bad because it's a good looking plant very nicely filled in and healthy looking, just won't start budding.....ah well what can you do but wait and see 🤞
