FRIDAY 2/15:
I started soaking 3 x Tangi'matic seeds this evening. If all goes well, I'll FIM one and leave the others alone. I plan to hit them with reds much earlier than normal..I want to let them stretch up to 4 feet if possible. I need many "bushels" of tangerines to ward off the summertime scurvy!😁
SATURDAY:
Only one of them sunk, but a tap sent the other two to the bottom.
I'm almost 2 full weeks behind schedule already, so I'd like these bitches to pop and get on with it.😀
I intend to give the seedlings mostly blue and cool white light for a week, but will set the big blurple to dose them for an hour at a time, 8 hours per day for a week or so. Then I'll swap out the blue panels and blue miracleLED's with red panels and red miracleLED's and kick on the 3 COB's and QB to run with the blurple for 20-ish hours per day.
The goal being to try and get a little more height out of them before I move them into the primary tent this time. This strain and the others I'm growing this time around are all purported to reach 120-140cm, and I'd like to achieve that ..at a minimum.😁
SUNDAY:
One bean just won't sink..guess it's bad. The other two are cracked open now.
MONDAY:
The two that cracked open stuck their tongue out at me, so I planted them in rockwool cubes. The other bean is still floating and hasn't cracked...😕
TUESDAY:
Nothing new...
WEDNESDAY:
Nope...not yet.
THURSDAY:
Still nothing good to report...the floater finally sunk, but hasn't cracked, and neither of the two I planted have emerged.
SATURDAY:
Both planted Tangies emerged this morning!
I went ahead and stuck the dud in a cube too..maybe it will surprise me...
SUNDAY:
Both seedlings are looking good, but still no sign of the 3rd one..
TUESDAY 3/5:
Both seedlings in 5g pots are doing okay. The third one didn't make it...
WEDNESDAY:
No news is good news at this stage of the game...
THURSDAY:
Growing!
FRIDAY:
Still growing!
SATURDAY:
No change..
WEDNESDAY 3/13:
I moved them into the big tent under 170w of 3200k plus 660nm and a pair of blue miracleLEDs.
SUNDAY 3/17:
They are both growing well. I fed them for the first time today. I gave them each about 1/4 gallon of all the good stuff....grow babies, grow!👈
WEDNESDAY 3/20:
I gave them a little water today and foliar fed them a few times. They have entered "beast mode" and are doubling in size every day.😀
FRIDAY:
Fed them about 1/4 gallon each with everything..
SATURDAY 3/23:
Today I moved everybody into the big tent so I could clean up the small tent and set it up for flowering. I dimmed it to about 80% and placed my blue panels above my bars, so it peeks between them, and have 4 total blue 24w miracleLEDs in there as well. Temps are warmer than I'd like, (90f) but it's just for a day or two. I'll get the other evaporative cooler tomorrow...that should help in the small tent.
I'm not sure which plants will be in the 4 x 5 and which will be in the 4 x 4 tent, but I'm thinking I'll grow the 2 x Tangie, 1 x WW XXL, 1 x Amnesia XXL, and the 4 x Candy Canes in the 4 x 4.
I'm pushing 1010 actual watts of light in the 4 x 5 and up to 950 actual watts in the 4 x 4 (blurple-367w, 3 x 100w COBs, 1 x 120w QB, 2 x 26w red panels, 2 x 36w red floods, 4 x 36w bar side lights)
So, I really don't think it's gonna matter much, in terms of wattage per square foot, which plants get grown in which tent.
And, in terms of environment, it should also be nearly identical conditions because I'm gonna try a partial closed-loop ventilation method:
440cfms of my 80-85f-ish air will be exhausted through a carbon filter in the top of the the big tent, through 10 feet of duct, and into the small tent, directly over the blurple light. 390cfms of the 80-85f-ish air in the small tent is simultaneously exhausted through 10 feet of ducting back into the bottom of the big tent. I've also got a 240cfm duct booster fan exhausting from the top of the big tent through a carbon filter in the room where the tents are...right next to an open window...this allows me to keep negative pressure on both tents and to evacuate some of the warmer air out of the house.
I have the a/c register above the tent ducted directly into the top of the big tent, so whenever the a/c kicks on, fresh-filtered 72f air is pumped into the tent for a few minutes, bringing down the temps about 5-10 degrees each time. There will also be a 75w evaporative cooler circulating water-cooled air in each tent, which will hopefully keep my humidity at around 50%.
SUNDAY 3/24:
I watered them today with some boomerang, calimagic, microbe brew, bud candy, kelp me kelp you, and armor si.
They both look great. I moved them into the small tent today.
TUESDAY:
Temperatures are still too high, so I've got to do some more tweaking on the ventilation and light timers.
WEDNESDAY 3/27:
I gave them about 1/2 gallon each of all the good stuff, and foliar fed them a few times. They were definitely affected by the heat from the last few days, but I think they'll be okay.
THURSDAY:
I foliar fed them a few times and tweaked the ventilation again..
FRIDAY:
Both of them are poppin' pistils now!
The temps are still climbing too high by the end of the day, so I'm gonna have to dial back the lights a bit more in the small tent to make the difference I think.😕
I'm still running at 24/0 in the big tent for another week, and running 20/4 in the small tent. I need to get the temps at 85f max in both tents pretty quickly...I've got 4 in the small tent flowering now..
My next tweak is to just alternate the timers between the whites/reds and the blurple/white sides in the small tent while the big tent's all lit up. And only when it's dark in the big tent will I run all the lights in the small tent at the same time. If that doesn't do the trick, I can always switch to 18/6 in one or both of the tents, too, but that'd be a last resort.
***Water with kelp, cal/mag, silica and Boomerang tomorrow-
I'm wanting to replace all my miscellaneous lights with another quantum bar rig before my Fall grow this year.

============================================
SUNDAY 3/31:
I foliar fed them a few times, rotated them and took some photos. Still trying to tweak the lighting timers for optimal flowering temperatures. Getting closer to perfect...
MONDAY:
Spun them around and foliar fed a few times
TUESDAY:
I fed them about 3/4 gallon each and started them on Open Sesame and Tiger Bloom. Foliar fed a few times and tweaked the timers again..
WEDNESDAY:
I foliar fed a few times and rotated them, then took some photos. They are both stretching well now.👍
THURSDAY:
Tina is an Amazonian Warrior, tasked with protecting Tanya, the Princess. Killer flora for sure.
I foliar fed them a few times and rotated them 180 degrees.
FRIDAY:
I watered them with about a half-gallon each including boomerang, bud candy, calimagic, kelp me kelp you, terpinator, and armor si. I also foliar fed them a few times and rotated them. Temps in their tent are stable and acceptable.👍
SUNDAY 4/7:
They are stacking up like crazy now..stretching for the "sun."👍
I foliar fed them twice and took some photos while rearranging the tent.
MONDAY:
I fed them about a half-gallon each and foliar fed them a couple times. Rotated and ogled...
Serious vigor on these two!💪😲👍
TUESDAY:
I foliar fed a few times and rotated them..still no signs of slowing their vertical growth....👍
WEDNESDAY:
I foliar fed and rotated them.
THURSDAY:
I foliar fed them a few times using my new 1L pressurized sprayer. Love it..no more carpel tunnel pain!👍
FRIDAY:
I foliar fed a few times and plucked off a few dead leaves.
SUNDAY 4/14:
I foliar fed them and rotated them while taking photos. I'll start misting them with plan PH'd spring water tomorrow for a couple of days to rinse the nutes off, then it's time to dry out the air a bit. I bidded on a good 70pint dehumidifer on ebay..fingers crossed.
MONDAY:
I started misting with plain ph adjusted spring water to rinse any nute build-up off of them before I start reducing humidity in the tents in a few days.
TUESDAY:
I fed them about a half-gallon and switched from Open Sesame to Beastie Bloomz.
I won the dehumidifier auction for $95+$30 shipping...will be here on Friday.
WEDNESDAY:
I moved them and the other big bitches into the big tent and raised the lights considerably to accommodate them. The top of Tanya is only about 12" away from the "sun," so I may need to raise it again tomorrow another couple inches.
THURSDAY:
They seem to like the new flavor of "sunlight" just fine.👍
SUNDAY 4/21:
I fed them about 1/2 gallon each today.
Will take some photos tomorrow-
MONDAY:
Had other stuff to do, so they only got looked at for a few minutes today...
TUESDAY:
Took some photos and rearranged everybody.
WEDNESDAY:
I rearranged and took some photos and a video. I'll water them tomorrow-
THURSDAY:
I watered with about 1/3 gallon and included some terpinator, calimagic, and beastie bloomz.
They are both losing some foliage due to the high-temp issues from last week, but they should be fine if I can drop the temps and keep it stable for another couple weeks..
FRIDAY:
I made some improvements to my fresh air a/c intake in the tent that dropped the temp a couple of degrees, and the new dehumidifier is keeping the RH right where I want it..45-50%.👌 This allows the evap cooler to be more effective at cooling as well...above 50% RH and it's basically just a fan..
SUNDAY 4/28:
I plucked off some dead leaves and did some leaf-tucking. Coming along nicely..👍
Daytime temps are still hovering around 87-90f, but I've got them sitting in 70-72f temps for 6 hours of darkness now.😁
MONDAY:
I watered them with about 1/2 gallon of ph'd water including calimagic, terpinator, bud candy, boomerang, and their last dose of beastie bloomz. I'll feed them cha ching from now on-
TUESDAY:
I just had time for basic garden maintenance and cleaning today.
WEDNESDAY:
I finally had the time to take some photos today...they are looking very nice!😍
I have some sort of contagion in the big tent..leaves suddenly getting brown and crispy overnight on a few plants...Tanya is affected (infected?) a little bit, but Tina still looks okay.
THURSDAY:
The 'contagion' seems to be spreading through the garden...
I'm thinking maybe I completely PHuktup the ph when I added silica last time and didn't correct it??
FRIDAY:
I plucked some dead leaves and misted everybody with perfectly PH adjusted spring water and increased airflow in the tent. Also decreased the dehumidifier to 45% RH.
SATURDAY:
I fed them today and started them on Cha Ching.
SUNDAY 5/5:
Rearranged the gardens..have 17 plants in the 4 x 5 now...yowsa!
MONDAY:
Plucked some dead leaves and did a trichrome check on them both...about half cloudy now..👌
TUESDAY:
I observed some white spots(maybe powdery mildew) on a few leaves here and there, so I sprayed them today with Trifecta Crop Cure, a concoction of a bunch of natural plant oils. I already decreased the humidity in the room to 45% with my new 70L dehumidifier, so I think they'll be fine. I'll spray them again tomorrow and the next day, then I'll have to hope that did the trick, because they are entering the harvest window.
WEDNESDAY:
I watered them today and included a bunch of terpinator, bud candy, bembe, and cha ching. It was their last dose of any nutes...flushing with spring water from here on out.
THURSDAY:
Took a couple of photos and tried installing my new Solacure FlowerPower UVB light, but it was dead on arrival.😢..back to the 15.0 reptile UVB lights for now I guess...
FRIDAY:
The guy at Solacure is awesome! He immediately Fedex'd a replacement!👍
SATURDAY:
I took a few photos and inspected trichromes...I guess that's it for them both! I'll start flushing tomorrow.
SUNDAY 5/12:
I flushed them both with 5 gallons each of ph adjusted filtered water including bembe and sledgehammer.
Yowsa! They are exuding some truly magnificent odoriferous emanations!😲
MONDAY:
I rotated the plants under the 2 x 15.0 reptile UVB's today and removed necrotic leaves
TUESDAY:
I checked trichromes today and plucked some dead shit..
WEDNESDAY:
I'm gonna flush them tomorrow for the last time, then they'll get about 4 or 5 more days under my new 4' Solacure FlowerPower UV light..a little late in the game, but maybe it'll make them sweat a little bit more of that delicious nectar for me.🙏
THURSDAY:
I flushed them both for the last time..these are the stinkiest plants in the garden.. by far!😵
SUNDAY 5/19:
I accidentally left my UV timer in the "ON" position all night and half of the next day...fearing sudden death, I have moved everybody that was almost ready into the dark tent, including the two Tangies and will start harvesting them tomorrow..maximum UVB stress for about 20 hours...if it works out that they are even more potent than expected without turning brown overnight, I'll claim it was "intentional," and purport it as an "advanced technique" 😉
MONDAY:
The both looked fine..no signs of UV damage, so I left them in the dark tent for another day. I'll harvest them both tomorrow and probably wet trim Tina and hang-dry Tanya..she's gonna be a lot of work and I have 5 other plants to harvest as well tomorrow...and I've got to flush several others and water the rest.
Both of these plants absolutely WREAK without even molesting them..delightfully dank!😋👍
TUESDAY 5/22:
Today I harvested both plants. I did a wet trim on Tina and hung Tanya to dry in the dark tent.
These plants were my "garden stars." Super easy to grow with very heavy dense buds and the most pungent aromas. Can't wait to smoke this shit...😋
T-minus 10 days til smoke test.
MONDAY 5/27:
I weighed and jarred up Tina today. She weighed in at 81g. I was hoping for a little more from her, but she's spectacular looking and smelling! Tanya was almost dry, but I closed her up in a big jar again to slow down the drying process a little. I'm still hoping she comes in at over 100g.🙏
WEDNESDAY 5/29:
I weighed and jarred up Tanya today. She didn't quite hit her goal...only 97g..but that'll do!: 1:
She stinks every bit as much as her little sister whether you molest her or not.
I'll wait to test her flavor and potency for a couple more days (if I can resist her😍)
WEDNESDAY 6/5:
I've been smoking it for a couple of days now and am currently so wasted that I'm finding it hard to type well.
Final thoughts:
I like it. I like it a lot. I'm so glad that I've got 3 more of these beans...gonna run at least 2 more of them in August! They were the biggest and most beautiful plants in the garden, have delightful aromas, taste great, and will definitely put your dick in the dirt if you're not careful.👍
