FRIDAY 2/15:
I floated a White Widow Auto XXL seed tonight..
From what I've seen, they can get pretty big. Just what I'm hoping for...😁
If she sprouts and emerges, I'll just let her grow naturally.
SATURDAY:
She sunk...😀
I'm almost 2 full weeks behind schedule already, so I'd like this bitch to pop and get on with it...
I intend to give this seedling mostly blue and cool white light for a week, but will set the big blurple to dose her for an hour at a time, 8 hours per day for a week or so. Then I'll swap out the blue panels and blue miracleLED's with red panels and red miracleLED's and kick on the 3 COB's and QB to run with the blurple for 20-ish hours per day.
The goal being to try and get maximum height out of her before I move her into the primary tent to flower, while still dosing her with enough blues to branch out for me. This strain and the others I'm growing this time around are all purported to reach 120-140cm, and I'd like to achieve that ..at a minimum.😁
SUNDAY:
She's sticking her tongue out at me, but I'm letting her soak til morning and then putting her in a cube.
Pots are filled with recharged soil and waiting on inhabitants.
MONDAY:
I planted her in a pre-moistened (with 6.0 ph adjusted distilled water) rockwool cube and put it under the dome with a heat mat and some cool white and blues.
THURSDAY:
Where oh where has my little sprout gone, where oh where can she be?? Maybe headed for the opposite hemisphere??
SATURDAY:
She popped up last night, and she's growing!👍
SUNDAY:
She's doing well..got roots popping out all sides of the cube.
TUESDAY 3/5:
She's still alive, but I haven't seen much growth at this point.
WEDNESDAY:
...ditto..
THURSDAY:
..same, same...
FRIDAY:
Finally seeing a little growth..
SATURDAY:
Definitely growing now..
TUESDAY 3/12:
Very slow growth...but she can take all the time she wants as long as she brings in a bushel for me!
WEDNESDAY 3/13:
I moved her and a few others into the big tent under 170w of 3200k plus some 660nm, and a pair of blue miracleLEDs at about 14".
SUNDAY 3/17:
I fed her today for the first time. She needed it badly. Showing some deficiencies.
She got about a 1/4 gallon of all the good stuff.
WEDNESDAY 3/20:
Shes growing, but nowhere nearly as quickly as the other plants her age. I hope she doesn't have root problems...🙏
SATURDAY 3/23:
After a couple of root drenches and a shit-ton of microbes, she is finally looking a little better, but still quite a bit smaller than her same-age sisters.
Today I moved everybody into the big tent so I could clean up the small tent and set it up for flowering. I dimmed it to about 80% and placed my blue panels above my bars, so it peeks between them, and have 4 total blue 24w miracleLEDs in there as well. Temps are warmer than I'd like, (90f) but it's just for a day or two. I'll get the other evaporative cooler tomorrow...that should help in the small tent.
I'm not sure which plants will be in the 4 x 5 and which will be in the 4 x 4 tent, but I'm thinking I'll grow the 2 x Tangie, 1 x WW XXL, 1 x Amnesia XXL, and the 4 x Candy Canes in the 4 x 4.
I'm pushing 1010 actual watts of light in the 4 x 5 and up to 950 actual watts in the 4 x 4 (blurple-367w, 3 x 100w COBs, 1 x 120w QB, 2 x 26w red panels, 2 x 36w red floods, 4 x 36w bar side lights)
So, I really don't think it's gonna matter much, in terms of wattage per square foot, which plants get grown in which tent.
And, in terms of environment, it should also be nearly identical conditions because I'm gonna try a partial closed-loop ventilation method:
440cfms of my 80-85f-ish air will be exhausted through a carbon filter in the top of the the big tent, through 10 feet of duct, and into the small tent, directly over the blurple light. 390cfms of the 80-85f-ish air in the small tent is simultaneously exhausted through 10 feet of ducting back into the bottom of the big tent. I've also got a 240cfm duct booster fan exhausting from the top of the big tent through a carbon filter in the room where the tents are...right next to an open window...this allows me to keep negative pressure on both tents and to evacuate some of the warmer air out of the house.
I have the a/c register above the tent ducted directly into the top of the big tent, so whenever the a/c kicks on, fresh-filtered 72f air is pumped into the tent for a few minutes, bringing down the temps about 5-10 degrees each time. There will also be a 75w evaporative cooler circulating water-cooled air in each tent, which will hopefully keep my humidity at around 50%.
SUNDAY 3/24:
I watered her today with calimagic, boomerang, bud candy, kelp me kelp you, microbe brew, and armor si.
She's still slow to grow, but branching nicely. I moved her to the small tent today and foliar fed her a few times.
TUESDAY 3/26:
Foliar fed her and worked on the ventilation and lighting timers to try and deal with the heat.
WEDNESDAY 3/27:
I gave her about 1/3 gallon of all the good stuff, and foliar fed her a few times. She was definitely affected by the heat from the last few days, but she's droopy, as if overwatered. Probably root problems...hopefully the kangaroots and microbe brew straighten things out for her. I can't transplant as she's already in a 5gal pot.
THURSDAY:
Foliar fed her a few times and I poked and prodded her soil some more today. Hopefully the problem is just that her soil is too compacted. She's starting to flower now, so I really hope she gets her shit together quickly..
FRIDAY:
She looked a little perkier today!
The temps are still climbing too high by the end of the day, so I'm gonna have to dial back the lights a bit more in the small tent to make the difference I think.😕
I'm still running at 24/0 in the big tent for another week, and running 20/4 in the small tent. I need to get the temps at 85f max in both tents pretty quickly...I've got 4 in the small tent flowering now..
My next tweak is to just alternate the timers between the whites/reds and the blurple/white sides in the small tent while the big tent's all lit up. And only when it's dark in the big tent will I run all the lights in the small tent at the same time. If that doesn't do the trick, I can always switch to 18/6 in one or both of the tents, too, but that'd be a last resort.
***Water with kelp, cal/mag, silica and Boomerang tomorrow-
SATURDAY:
I just used 6 gallons of water with boomerang, calimagic, bud candy, kelp me kelp you, kangaroots, armor si, and terpinator to water all 21 plants...I think that's about a 1/4 gallon each, so they'll be thirsty in a couple days, even though my RH is staying up around 70 percent.
Tweaked the timers again..
I'm wanting to replace all my miscellaneous lights with another quantum bar rig before my Fall grow this year.
Anybody want to buy some gently used lighting gear this summer???😁😎

============================================
SUNDAY 3/31:
I did a little more tweaking on the timers and ventilation. I foliar fed her a few times and rotated her.
MONDAY 4/1:
I foliar fed her a few times and spun her around, then tweaked the timers a bit more...fingers crossed..
TUESDAY 4/2:
I fed her about 1/2 gallon of all the good stuff, and started her on Open Sesame and Tiger Bloom. Increased Terpinator, Bud Candy, and Calimagic, and decreased Grow Big. She's got at least 10 good bud sites and I never even FIM'd her.👍
MONDAY:
I spun her around and foliar fed her a few times
TUESDAY:
I fed her about 3/4 gallon and started her on Open Sesame and Tiger Bloom. Foliar fed a few times and tweaked the timers again..
WEDNESDAY:
I foliar fed a few times and rotated her, then took some photos. She's starting to stretch now.👍
THURSDAY:
I foliar fed her a few times and rotated her.
FRIDAY:
I watered her with about a half-gallon including boomerang, bud candy, terpinator, kelp me kelp you, calimagic, and armor si.
I foliar fed her several times and rotated her 180 degrees.
SUNDAY 4/7:
I foliar fed her twice and rearranged the garden while taking photos.
She's really gonna produce, me thinks!
MONDAY:
I fed her about a half-gallon with all the good stuff and foliar fed her a few times today. Her branches are plentiful, but still kinda puny. She's getting plenty of silica, so I really hope they thicken up to support some massive colas.
TUESDAY:
I foliar fed a few times and rotated her.
WEDNESDAY:
I foliar fed her a few times and rotated her.
THURSDAY:
I foliar fed a couple times with my new 1L pressurized sprayer...best $10 I ever spent.
FRIDAY:
I foliar fed her a couple of times and rotated her. Still a little moist..watering tomorrow.
SUNDAY 4/14:
I foliar fed her and rotated her while taking photos. I'll start misting her with plan PH'd spring water tomorrow for a couple of days to rinse the nutes off, then it's time to dry out the air a bit. I bidded on a good 70pint dehumidifer on ebay..fingers crossed.
MONDAY:
I started misting with plain ph adjusted spring water to rinse any nute build-up off of her before I start reducing humidity in the tents in a few days.
TUESDAY:
I fed her about a half-gallon and switched from Open Sesame to Beastie Bloomz.
I won the dehumidifier auction for $95+$30 shipping...will be here on Friday.
WEDNESDAY:
I moved her and the other big bitches into the big tent and raised the lights considerably to accommodate the taller Tangies, but she's only about 16" away from the "sun."
THURSDAY:
She seems to like the new flavor of "sunlight" just fine.👍
SUNDAY 4/21:
I fed her about 1/2 gallon today.
Will take some photos tomorrow-
MONDAY:
Busy with life today, so they only got ogled for a few minutes..
TUESDAY:
I rearranged and took some photos today.
WEDNESDAY:
I tool some more photos and a video today. Will water her tomorrow-
THURSDAY:
I watered with about 1/3 gallon and included some terpinator, calimagic, and beastie bloomz.
She's looking kinda haggard since the high-temp issues from last week....losing much foliage..I hope she has the energy to finish strong.🙏
FRIDAY:
I made some improvements to my fresh air a/c intake in the tent that dropped the temp a couple of degrees, and the new dehumidifier is keeping the RH right where I want it..45-50%.👌 This allows the evap cooler to be more effective at cooling as well...above 50% RH and it's basically just a fan..
SUNDAY 4/28:
I plucked off some dead leaves and did some leaf-tucking. She's fattening 👍
Daytime temps are still hovering around 87-90f, but I've got her sitting in 70-72f temps for 6 hours of darkness now.😁
I did a little video today and I'll take a few "glamour shots" tomorrow.
MONDAY:
I watered her with about 1/2 gallon of ph'd water including calimagic, bud candy, terpinator, boomerang, and her last dose of beastie bloomz. She'll get cha ching from now on-
TUESDAY:
I only had enough time to clean the room a little, change out carbon filters and clean the evap cooler tanks.
WEDNESDAY:
I took some photos today. I'm liking what I'm seeing(and smelling)..👌
I have some sort of contagion in the big tent..leaves suddenly getting brown and crispy overnight on a few plants...she's still not been affected...fingers crossed...🙏
THURSDAY:
The 'contagion' seems to be spreading through the garden...but she's still okay..
I'm thinking maybe I completely PHuktup the ph when I added silica last time and didn't correct it??😮
FRIDAY:
I plucked some dead leaves and misted everybody with perfectly PH adjusted spring water and increased airflow in the tent. Also decreased the dehumidifier to 45% RH.
SATURDAY:
I fed her and did a trichrome check...this was her last feeding for sure. She's about 70% cloudy now.👍
SUNDAY 5/5:
Rearranged the gardens..have 17 plants in the 4 x 5 now...yowsa!
MONDAY:
Plucked some dead leaves and did a trichrome check on her. She's getting close now! Prolly about 80% cloudy and 5% amber! I'll start flushing her tomorrow or the next day if she's not dried out yet.
TUESDAY:
I observed some white spots on a few leaves here and there, so I sprayed her today with Trifecta Crop Cure, a concoction of a bunch of natural plant oils. I already decreased the humidity in the room to 45% with my new 70L dehumidifier, so I think she'll be fine. I'll spray her again tomorrow and the next day, then I'll have to hope that did the trick, because she is already in the harvest window.
WEDNESDAY:
I flushed her today with about 4 gallons of ph'd spring water and bembe. It was her last dose of any nutes...flushing with only spring water from here on out.
THURSDAY:
Took a couple of photos and tried installing my new Solacure FlowerPower UVB light, but it was dead on arrival.😢..back to the 15.0 reptile UVB lights for now I guess...
SUNDAY 5/12:
I flushed her for the last time today with 5 gallons of filtered, ph adjusted water and sledgehammer. I'll let her dry all the way out while basking under the 15.0 reptile UVB's. My new Solacure Flowerpower UVB will be here in 2 days so she'll get mega blasted for at least 3 days, then she'll get a day or two of dark before I kill her.
She's really ripened up well and faded nicely.
I had to support more of her buds with bamboo stakes today.👍
MONDAY:
I rotated her under the 2 x 15.0 reptile UVB's today and removed necrotic leaves
TUESDAY:
I checked trichromes again today and plucked some dead shit..her soil is still pretty moist
WEDNESDAY:
I moved her into my dark drying tent today.
THURSDAY:
She's still sitting in the dark...I'll bet it's scary in there with nothing but the hacked up remains of a couple of her recent tent-mates.👻😁
This plant was super easy to grow until the last couple of weeks...she really started spreading out and her branches got so heavy that they needed a lot of support...not a bad problem to have, though. She was no hungrier or thirstier than the next plant and didn't really have much odor until the last week or so. She faded almost perfectly at the end. Turns out that the 5 gallon pot was a wise choice, as her root ball was frickin enormous!
This strain can take temps in the lower 90's (fahrenheit) pretty well as long as they have a much cooler nighttime. She weighed in at 76g of bud, and all trim and larf was sifted and put into a paper bag for future bubble hash endeavors.
