After 2 hours of trimming we have an outcome. 10 grams of buds and popcorn buds. The buds are pretty fluffy and lots of pso that's a little bit disappointing, although they smell amazing. (Pine, citrus) I collected a lot of sugar leaves and merged it with sugar leaves from previous harvest to make some hash later on. Growing: The grow was not optimal...halfway there were some deficiencies. I'm not exactly sure why.. could be too much nutrients, high temperatures on the windowsill, changing between Sunlight and LED or bad soil. Anyway it was fun to grow this strain and I will grow this in the future. Smoking: It needs some more curing , but It was a smooth smoke 2 weeks after the chop. It gave me a happy heady high. Second smoke: I really like the scent/smoke... it's sweet and smooth. Very happy/high and relaxing.

Your problem is a common problem for beginners... you swapped to your bloom nootz to early. What’s happening is called Die Back , it happens during/or/by the end of the stretch where she use a lot of Nitrogen to get twice big in just 3 weeks .... she’s sacrificing the bottom to save the top by moving her Nitrogen..... Unfortunately, adding Nitrogen is too late now, the roots won’t process it as they are concentrated on processing P and K at this stage ... My best advice for a beginner would be to not plug off any leaves if it isn’t totally dead and crispy and ready to fall... Or 1ml / l of a 100% organic 9-0-0 in a spray bottle with water @pH 7.0 to make a foliar feed before those flowers gets bigger !

@IndeKast, don't worry , mother nature is smart , just let it do her thing till the end 😉

@JUNGLE_B4RNS, thank you, that makes sense... good to know for my next grow. I don't have organic foliar spray right now, but I will let the leaves till they fall of.

Buds are coming along nicely! Overall your girl looks really healthy. I didn't see the nutrients and quantities that you use posted. That would give us some info. The PPM and pH numbers are a bit concerning. Have you done a slurry test to determine the true soil conditions? Also, check the pH of your feeding water. The numbers are a bit too low IMO. This could also be a strain issue. Some strains are very particular about their environment.

@Quexos, thank you, overall she's pretty green... the soil was a bit low pH, but I think the flush helped a bit. I have to be careful with nutrients in the future.

Lotsa action in your grow this week! They are looking great! Keep any eye on the spots. It could be something as simple as accidentally getting your nutrients on the leaves. It could be more serious if it continues and spreads. Are the spots widespread? Are they on new or older leaves? https://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-symptoms-pictures

I think you can still get good quality buds but yield won’t be big. If you can be patience for next three weeks or so you can get fat potent buds. At the moment look like the buds will need to mature for two or three more weeks. Please think like you have nothing to more loose on quantity but only to salvage what you have put in. with as high quality as possible. By doing less. What I would do is to: start watering with plain water. And remove the damaged fan leaves. They won’t contribute much to the plant. And they are depressing to look at. Your girl will stretch sugar leaves to compensate. Nature will find her way. Your trouble is not over yet. It’s spring time and you need to plan for insect attack next Toitoi

How strong is your LED? And what is the light color? For my seedling, I had good result with 28 W pink LED and Day Light (6000K color) light. Distance was 20 cm at the first week and 10 cm on the 2nd week.

@Med_in_Tropic, the rootstimulator consists out of seaweeds, Vulvine acids and humusen.
Med_in_Tropic
Med_in_Tropiccommented6 years ago
@IndeKast, my two bits: if root joice has auxin like IAA, it stops other growth hormones. One effect is it make roots longer. Not using it has better result. Cytokinin in sea weed / kelp makes more number of cell and more roots, more branch, more flowers. Gibberellin help with bigger cell = longer stems, long inter node distance , big fat buds but can cause hermies. Don’t play with gib. Peace and happy growing
IndeKast
IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@Med_in_Tropic, no I never used that. I only give a little root juice. For now she's doing pretty well I guess. For me it's important not to overwater. It happened in the past and caused stunting plants. I give some nutrients later on just to lower the pH to 6 - 6.5.

@IndeKast, I have my first RQS growing right now (Painkiller) I'd expect anything from RQS to be good strong genetics. I'm sure you will do awesome with the grow. I can't join the animal competition, it's only open to people growing a strain of Dutch Passion seeds and I don't have any.

Nice looking bud shots! You have a great windowsill for growing herb!
IndeKast
IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, Summer is coming 😀 The days are long enough now, so why not using the energy of mother nature? Under LED is more stable, and less odor, but I just like it. In the winter I will be using LED again. New diaries are published btw

Quexoscommented6 years ago
@IndeKast,If I remember, you had really good results with LED. Why the change? Also, what's are you growing next?
IndeKast
IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, thanks, last weeks it was pretty sunny on the windowsill, but still too cold outside. New diaries will be windowsill and outdoors (no LED)

@Quexos, thank you.... it's pretty difficult to stabilize the camera indeed. I just made a lot of them and sellect the best. still room for improvement though

That first picture with sky behind it is beautiful! Great artistic shot. Your girl is looking choice! The first shot shows your preflowering is starting. Its a little late, but that just means better plant development. I'm glad your spots went away. My plant that needs extra Cal-Mag really soaked it up and the leaves have gotten their color back. Cal-Mag is the easiest problem to solve. You can't really OD on Cal-Mag and it helps so many other parts of the plant's nutritional uptake.
Quexos
Quexoscommented6 years ago
@IndeKast, I'm sure you can have too much cal-mag, but I think it takes quite a bit. The NFtG nutrient line is calcium-based. Everytime I fed, or watered, I added some form of Calcium. The plants never showed any deficiencies. They were all really healthy all the time. Thank you. I think Orange Punch is a few days from showing flowers. I'm building a SCROG net right now to see if I can train some of the budsites out and improve my yield. My photo tent I just want to be done. It seems like that grow has gone on forever.
IndeKast
IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, thank you, I like that pic too. I didn't know you can't OD call mag. Good to know 👍🏼 Your garden looks great too. Looking forward how your orange punch is developing. And rest offcourse

Wow, your grow is turning out nicely. I was a little worried mid-way, but that is one impressive cola. It's amazing how resilient cannabis is. We can do all sorts of evil things, and the plants still turn out beautiful.

@Quexos, i was a little worried too... but this strain can handle a lot.

I also think it could be a strain/pheno issue. I treated all ladies equally and I have an odd pheno that looks scary similar. i'll upload pics asap. She is producing but all leaves have stayed lime green despite feeding and flushing tricks. Best of luck!!!
IndeKast
IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@starphish, thanks... as long as she keeps producing..I'm happy! We'll see how this ends
Med_in_Tropic

Try not to depress the pH. I think for soil, pH rang of 6.2-6.5 would be safe. 6.0 is very good for hydro but I think it a bit too sour to keep as constant. A good strategy would be to vary it from week to week to get full range of NPK absorption.
IndeKast
IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@Med_in_Tropic, thank you. I'll keep that in mind next round.
