Seed to harvest 75 days Soil 5 litre (50% All-mix, 50% supermarket soil mixed with some perlite) Sunlight (windowsill) and LED (50watt UFO in small closet 40x40x60cm) Seed germinated in 48 hours between a wet piece of toilet paper in a plastic bag. I put some nutrient poor soil in the centre of the pot where I put the seed 1cm under. The half pet bottle is for the first days to keep the soil wet and the humidity high. 48 hours later.... Day 1 there she is 🌿👌I removed the PET bottle The days are short and cold. (10.30 hours daylight) So she will start on the windowsill and in the evening/night she will get some LED light. The Power Plant is a strong strain and easy to grow, and I assume that she can handle different types of light and time schedule. We'll see. I hope to place her outdoor after 5/6 weeks. Depending on the smell and the size of the plant and the weather. The days will be 13 hours than and I hope it will be a little warmer. I'm planning to give her more hours of light in the beginning to reduce the stretch. I also give a little root juice the first weeks. Day 4 ☀️10h47m. 💡13h13m 🌱Still small/short. I think I'm gonna introduce some darkness (4 hours) It's more natural.

Day 8 Not much sun these days...just daylight ☀️11h (windowsill) 💡9h (50w LED) 🌙4h I'm giving her 100ml of water in 48h with a little biobizz rootjuice (pH 6.5) The leaves are a bit dull and not equally green and lighter green at the veins, but she's growing. I think it will recover when she's bigger, but I sprayed some callmag on the leaves. Day 9 Sunny day Day 10 Cloudy day Day 11 Working on her 3th node. I gave her couple of hours more LED, because it was a very dark day. Day 13 She's growing pretty fast. Day 14 It is a dark raining day. I keep her in the closet today.

Day 15 Cloudy days...just daylight ☀️11.30h (windowsill) 💡12.30h (50w led) 100ml of water in 48h with a little biobizz rootjuice (pH 6.5) I decided to skip the night last week because the timerswitch wasn't working correctly. So she's getting 24h of light and she seems to like it. She's growing fast. Day 16 I decided to do some lst, otherwise she won't fit in the closet later on. Day 17 Tied her down again. The days are depressed and gray, so she spends more time under LED than on the windowsill. Day 18 Tied her down again. The leaves and main branch touched the soil, so I tied her on another way. Day 20 Lst again.

Day 22 Cloudy days, but the weather forecast is better for coming week. Spring is coming.🙏🏼 ☀️12.00h (windowsill) 💡12.00h (50w led) A lot of bending and tying her down last week. She reacted very well. No signs of flowering yet. I stopped with the rootjuice and just gave her tapwater (ph7) from the bottom. The leaves are a bit crunchy... I'm not sure what causes it, maybe the high temperature a view days ago. In the sun behind the glass was maybe too much. We'll see how it develops. I also see some brown spots (pic). Anyone knows what it is? Day 23 It looks like the cat nibbled the big leaves. Maybe that's also causing the brown spots. I will protect it with a sort of scrograck I've made. It's two days ago since watering. I gave 300 ml water with Calmag (pH 6.4) Day 24 Defoliation. I removed the big damaged leaves. Day 25 No signs of flowering. Whole day under LED. Day 26 It's a sunny day. Looks like she stopped growing. I've made it catproof again with chicken wire.

Day 29 The days are getting longer. ☀️12.25h (windowsill) 💡11.35h (50w led) She's doing great and I think she's beginning to flower. We'll see coming week. Some days she gets more hours of LED than sunlight. Depends on circumstances, but it doesn't seem to matter because she's still going strong..it's an autoflower. The brown spots on the leaves happened while watering I think. It doesn't expand to other leaves. So nothing to worry about. My cat also nibbled on the leaves. Watering 500ml in 2-3 days with a little Calmag (around 6.2 pH) Day 29 Flowering in progress. I did some Lst. For the last time I think. Day 31 Lst Day 32 Sunny day. She bounced back from Lst. Watering: 500ml 0,5ml callmag xtra and 0,5ml biobizz bloom Day 34 Lst is over. She has an even canopy and doing pretty great. More updates later on this week. Cheers!!

Day 36 ☀️12.54h (windowsill) 💡11.06h (50w led) Watering 500ml in 2-3 days with 0,5ml Calmag and biobizz bloom 0,5ml (around 6.0 pH) Flowering is in progress and last week I did the final Lst. She has a pretty equal canopy now. I damaged some leaves moving the pots in the sun and back. Also spilled some nutrients on the leaves while watering. So there are some brown or yellow leaves. Day 38 Ok, I don't think the spots caused by what I mentioned above. I think there's a potassium or phosphorus deficiency. Not sure...does anyone know? See last 2 pictures. I flushed the soil with 5 ltr tapwater pH 6.9 ppm 330 First flush the runoff was pH5.5 2250ppm Last runoff was pH5.5 800ppm. I think that's better. The pot feels pretty heavy now so I hope the roots don't suffocate. No watering in the coming days. Day 39 Looks like she survived the flush. We'll see how it develops. I've a sample of green sensation.. maybe give her some next watering.

Day 43 ☀️13.22h (windowsill) 💡10.38h (50w led) A little recap last week. I flushed the soil because I thought there was a potassium(K) or phosphorus(P) defeciency. What the cause is, I am not exactly sure. Maybe a lockout caused bij a salt build up. I took some pics of the leaves. Maybe someone can tell me? I flushed the soil with 5 ltr tapwater pH6.9 330ppm First flush the runoff was pH5.5 2250ppm Last runoff was pH5.5 800ppm. After a couple of days the soil dried out. Since then I only gave water. I think the problem isn't solved because some new leaves are affected. I've a sample of plagron green sensation. Should I add some? Day 45 Still some new affected leaves every day. The buds are also still developing, so it's ok. I gave some watering with a half dose of green sensation. Day 46 Doesn't look good...No defoliation needed..she does it by herself. Day 48 Doesn't look good..I put her in a bigger pot. Just did it 🙏🏼

Day 50 ☀️13.50h (windowsill) 💡10.10h (50w led) I don't know what exactly went wrong, because there are a lot of variables. - soil (to low pH) - big temperature fluctuations - to much or wrong nutrients. - not every night under LED Buds are developing slow and have a grassy smell. I don't expect much quality. I just let her grow and we'll see. Day 51 I smell a little citrus, that's a good thing. The grassy smell is still there, but not as bad as a couple of days ago... Day 53 I plucked some brown leaves. It looks like she's finally recovering.

After 2 hours of trimming we have an outcome. 10 grams of buds and popcorn buds. The buds are pretty fluffy and lots of pso that's a little bit disappointing, although they smell amazing. (Pine, citrus) I collected a lot of sugar leaves and merged it with sugar leaves from previous harvest to make some hash later on. Growing: The grow was not optimal...halfway there were some deficiencies. I'm not exactly sure why.. could be too much nutrients, high temperatures on the windowsill, changing between Sunlight and LED or bad soil. Anyway it was fun to grow this strain and I will grow this in the future. Smoking: It needs some more curing , but It was a smooth smoke 2 weeks after the chop. It gave me a happy heady high. Second smoke: I really like the scent/smoke... it's sweet and smooth. Very happy/high and relaxing.

Your problem is a common problem for beginners... you swapped to your bloom nootz to early. What’s happening is called Die Back , it happens during/or/by the end of the stretch where she use a lot of Nitrogen to get twice big in just 3 weeks .... she’s sacrificing the bottom to save the top by moving her Nitrogen..... Unfortunately, adding Nitrogen is too late now, the roots won’t process it as they are concentrated on processing P and K at this stage ... My best advice for a beginner would be to not plug off any leaves if it isn’t totally dead and crispy and ready to fall... Or 1ml / l of a 100% organic 9-0-0 in a spray bottle with water @pH 7.0 to make a foliar feed before those flowers gets bigger !

Buds are coming along nicely! Overall your girl looks really healthy. I didn't see the nutrients and quantities that you use posted. That would give us some info. The PPM and pH numbers are a bit concerning. Have you done a slurry test to determine the true soil conditions? Also, check the pH of your feeding water. The numbers are a bit too low IMO. This could also be a strain issue. Some strains are very particular about their environment.

IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, thank you, overall she's pretty green... the soil was a bit low pH, but I think the flush helped a bit. I have to be careful with nutrients in the future.

Lotsa action in your grow this week! They are looking great! Keep any eye on the spots. It could be something as simple as accidentally getting your nutrients on the leaves. It could be more serious if it continues and spreads. Are the spots widespread? Are they on new or older leaves? https://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-symptoms-pictures

I think you can still get good quality buds but yield won’t be big. If you can be patience for next three weeks or so you can get fat potent buds. At the moment look like the buds will need to mature for two or three more weeks. Please think like you have nothing to more loose on quantity but only to salvage what you have put in. with as high quality as possible. By doing less. What I would do is to: start watering with plain water. And remove the damaged fan leaves. They won’t contribute much to the plant. And they are depressing to look at. Your girl will stretch sugar leaves to compensate. Nature will find her way. Your trouble is not over yet. It’s spring time and you need to plan for insect attack next Toitoi

How strong is your LED? And what is the light color? For my seedling, I had good result with 28 W pink LED and Day Light (6000K color) light. Distance was 20 cm at the first week and 10 cm on the 2nd week.

IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@Med_in_Tropic, the rootstimulator consists out of seaweeds, Vulvine acids and humusen.
Med_in_Tropic
Med_in_Tropiccommented6 years ago
@IndeKast, my two bits: if root joice has auxin like IAA, it stops other growth hormones. One effect is it make roots longer. Not using it has better result. Cytokinin in sea weed / kelp makes more number of cell and more roots, more branch, more flowers. Gibberellin help with bigger cell = longer stems, long inter node distance , big fat buds but can cause hermies. Don’t play with gib. Peace and happy growing
IndeKast
IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@Med_in_Tropic, no I never used that. I only give a little root juice. For now she's doing pretty well I guess. For me it's important not to overwater. It happened in the past and caused stunting plants. I give some nutrients later on just to lower the pH to 6 - 6.5.

That first picture with sky behind it is beautiful! Great artistic shot. Your girl is looking choice! The first shot shows your preflowering is starting. Its a little late, but that just means better plant development. I'm glad your spots went away. My plant that needs extra Cal-Mag really soaked it up and the leaves have gotten their color back. Cal-Mag is the easiest problem to solve. You can't really OD on Cal-Mag and it helps so many other parts of the plant's nutritional uptake.
Quexos
Quexoscommented6 years ago
@IndeKast, I'm sure you can have too much cal-mag, but I think it takes quite a bit. The NFtG nutrient line is calcium-based. Everytime I fed, or watered, I added some form of Calcium. The plants never showed any deficiencies. They were all really healthy all the time. Thank you. I think Orange Punch is a few days from showing flowers. I'm building a SCROG net right now to see if I can train some of the budsites out and improve my yield. My photo tent I just want to be done. It seems like that grow has gone on forever.
IndeKast
IndeKastcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, thank you, I like that pic too. I didn't know you can't OD call mag. Good to know 👍🏼 Your garden looks great too. Looking forward how your orange punch is developing. And rest offcourse

Try not to depress the pH. I think for soil, pH rang of 6.2-6.5 would be safe. 6.0 is very good for hydro but I think it a bit too sour to keep as constant. A good strategy would be to vary it from week to week to get full range of NPK absorption.
