Day 15 fed and flipped to 12/12. Increased feed ppm slightly and added silica blast. Seems tap water is working like a champ and way more convenient than filling bottles of RO Day 17 some tip burn appearing on bottom leaves. Going to low nute flush. Nutes were old. I tossed and replaced with fresh. Day 19 fed to runoff. Based on her rate of growth, I will probably have to use mild LST. ph slurry test 1 tsp coco from deep root zone. Mixed with 1.5tsp RO water and set for 2 hours. Root zone sample registered 6.0 ph Day 21 fed to runoff. Flushing seemed to have halted the burn. Leaves are healthy green. Purpling of the petioles is correcting back to green. Photo taken just after lights on. Her leaves will perk up shortly.

Grow Questions

My growing experience is mainly with autoflowers and when it comes to breeders estimated flowering time for photo plants, when does it begin? If a breeder estimates 8 weeks, is that from 12/12 flip or from the appearance of flowers?

Hey there! The estimated week It it can vary from some breeders but most are going from the flip to 12/12. but that is with perfect conditions and how they like it being ripe. I tend to find that most are close within about 2 weeks unless you get a quick or long pheno of that strain. Plus the biggest factor in time is what your preference of Ripe is. Another thing some breeders do state that the time frame is from the first formation of flowers. Happy Growing!!

Please take a look at the last photo of week 10, the close up of a cola. Does this appear to be the start of a K deficiency? There is tip burn on some of the plant as well. Refer to my notes with watering issues for past 2 weeks. All nutes listed ph ppm are correct. Thanks!!

Brother you plants look perfect. You've got some kick ass budding going on there. It looks like you have the start of some light burn. If you notice its the sugar leaves closest to the light. With LEDS lights directly under the middle of the light is the strongest. You can either back off your light a bit or try rearranging themso the taller ones are to the sides or back. Looks like you only have 2-3 weeks till harvest you should be good. Good luck.

@mrs_larimar, I plan on starting some lst on her shortly. I am having fun experimenting with this grow. Trying to see what I can get with a photo plant in the same grow time as an auto plant. I veg for 2 weeks and planning 10 week flowering +/- a week depending on how the trichs are evolving. I have plenty of seeds coming from exotic that I will be growing out and start learning topping and manifolds. Thanks for stopping by!!

Hey really nice plants! Can i ask you a question? How much calcium has the canna coco a+b bottles? I got some old bottles and it got 7% calcium per bottle in it, tried other coco fertilizers but wasnt really happy with it all sorts of calmag deficiencys so i took ny old bottles now because the growth with canna is waaay faster than with advanced nutrients sensi coco, tried General hydroponics but also the same with the calmag problems.. Hope canna didnt change their recipe in the a+b bottles, your buds looking really amazing for 200watt led, i use 600Watt hid lamps and my biggest yield some years ago was 650grams with canna coco and never got so good results with other fertilizers i tried over the last years..

@Herb420, I didn't have to buffer the brick. Right after rehydrating the coco, I performed a slurry test anc had a ph of 6.0 and only 40ppm of runoff which is probably part of their buffering agents. It is great stuff and I haven't found better. Worth the extra few $$ if you ask me.

Herb420commented6 years ago
@Ga4rd2en0er, thanks dude i will do it now my way and only start to water if they need it. I thought about the bricks to buy too but i wasnt sure if you have to buffer or rinse the bricks so i bought the normal canna coco, the people who told me uses this fabric pots and they water it the first week every day and after this week two times per day, i use normal plastic pots and the coco did not rly dry out but everyone says i need to water daily and im soo stupid and followed this advices ๐Ÿ˜Œ and found an article at canna coco how to water the coco, they say you need to wait until 50% of its saturated coco weight is gone so you give the roots more oxygen in this first weeks and they develop a better root system and i look and weight the pots by hand to feel now how much moisture is left in the coco so i will water it again if they feel light :)

Ga4rd2en0ercommented6 years ago
@Herb420, those are great general guidelines to follow but each operation has variables and being able to adapt to those variables is what will make you a successful grower. I made the mistake of growing in too small of a pot plus its a fabric pot so in my current state, my coco would be dry in a few hours after she was watered. I am using canna coco as well but I am using the brick format. I do not have the luxury of storage space but their system makes it extremely easy to rehydrate small amounts at a time or you can rehydrate the whole batch in a 25+gal storage bin with a lid.

You look to be well into bloom now and your tent look to be filling out really well ๐Ÿ‘ The stretch will be over very soon now, maybe one more inch then all focus will be on big fat bud production ๐Ÿ‘Œ Let's see those buds explode ๐Ÿ‘Š All the best โœŒ๏ธ Mark..

@Thee_HoffGuyy, thanks for the encouragement!! Its my first time growing this strain and so far I am impressed. Strong branch structures, good uniform shape, and she was super easy to dial in her feed. I can't wait to sample her buds. Second time growing Dinafem's genetics and rather happy with product.

Saw your spider mite comment and had a similar issue. I started my project in January and had a plumeria plant I saw some on in my kitchen window and that little sumbitch was re homes faster than you can blink. I wasnโ€™t even playing games. Luckily it way far away from my rooms. Glad you caught it!
Ga4rd2en0er
Ga4rd2en0ercommented6 years ago
@ThatoneAKguy, hoping i nipped it in the bud too. Nothing found inside and nothing found outside other than a few dead mites on the plants I sprayed soap and sm-90 (yeah, i am sparingly using the last of my sm90) but that's what I've been saving it for. My concern is I have a giant dog, he's not allowed in my "office" but doesn't stop hitchhiking little bitches finding there way in. Im showering, changing clothes, and stepping barefoot into a 91% iso prop. alcohol foot bath before approaching my baby girl.
