7/15 - They just sprouted today out of the rapid rooters. Right now I have them under a 36W LED inside a humidity dome. Will adjust and give them window light as they show they can handle more.
Will post pictures in the upcoming days...
7/23 - Few days after sprouting, I put them under CMH (it was super high up though; I'm in flower now) and use a little natural sun for a few hours a day. They haven't been watered since I re-planed on 7/16 -- just feeding them plain water and some mycorrhizal for their roots to grow. I have some Voodoo Juice on order so will use that with RO next watering.
It looks to early, but I think I can tell there is two phenotype -- one has skinnier leaves (#1) and one fatter leaves (#2). We'll see as time moves on.
8/2 - Had to leave the babies under a low-light for a few days while I took care of some things. They stretched and grew quite a bit. They will now be back under regular light. They small intensely lemon for this small in veg, it's crazy -- I can't wait until they flower (just amazing lemon candy scent). They def. still look like two different phenos. Can you tell?
8/10 - Sativa dominant one continues to grow taller. The indica dominant is staying very squat. They both continue to be very stinky and setting them in a room in dark period is sure to leave a smell. Gave them very light feeding of nitrogen and cal-mg.
8/18 - Will update size and stuff later, but these girls are looking healthy. Continuing with Neem oil 1-2 times a week to keep off thripes for now.
Transplanted them into Air-Pots :-) Put the Sativa in 5 Gallon and Indica one in 2 Gallon -- want to test how they grow in those since I heard they are both good size pots. Weaved the soil with Mycorrhizae throughout as I pack them down.
I also topped them so I could restrict the height -- esp. the sativa one.
I'm super excited to see how well they react and I can tell you I like these much better than the fabric pots already. Watering is easier if you pack the dirt nice and good like recommended and the top two rows of them are not open holes anyhow.
8/26/17 - Did some LST'ing and some small trimming. Will flip them to 12/12 in about 2 days or so, as they will double in flower and are already getting pretty tall if I wasn't LST'ing. The flip will take nearly 2 weeks which they will grow more anyhow -- but this will make my life simpler to keep them in 1 tent.
I've been giving them regular feedings of veg blend I do of Earth Juice Nutrient (Advanced Plus Feeding Schedule). Water, Feed, Water, Feed ...
9/1 - First week of 12/12 flip, no flowers yet. These are super health plants that are just happy to be alive! Can wait to smell their sweet, lemony buds!
9/7 - Still no flowers yet, but stretching more after a good feeding. I'm happy about that, but will have to make more room for them -- when J47 finishes :-)
9/22 - Switched over to a new Nutrient line ("Vegamatrix"). I bought a starter pack and some Big N' Sticky. The plants are responding very well to it and I heard that Strawberry Cough was amazing using it. Hoping these will reek to hive heavens of Lemon -- they do in VEG :-)
9/29 - These babies are looking sexy! They are starting to fatten up much sooner and are going to be incredibly resinous (they are known for good concentrates and flavour). I think I attribute this to the Vegamatrix and if so and the flavour is as good as they say, I'm switching to that healthy formula!
I gave them a second spraying of Spinosad 3 days after the last and the "thripes" are dying the fuck out! This was after I bleached and vacuumed the tent a week ago. I love that stuff and the plants look much healthier because of that too.! 🙌
Couple other things to update too -- I've been keeping the AC on at 75 all the time when it's warm out now during their dark period. Also, since I didn't let the plants grow too tall in veg, I got my Fluence Ray 6" above the canopy and the CMH 24-30" above all that.
10/6 - I absolutely am loving this strain and this nutrient line. These ladies smell of sweet lemon -- almost like a sweeter lemon head with some skunk to them. Today, after a dark period and running the AC they were so frosty before lights when on -- trying to not run at the night even though it's still 75 outside, which will probably mean 83 inside until temps drop down a bit in a few hours.
10/13 - Seem a little nute burned, but not too bad. Going to give them a very light feed next feeding ... they are smelling very stinky, definitely the most smelly I've grow so far. They are very frosty and beautify, but I hope they bulk up more :-)
11/3 - I can see peices all around the bud protruding ... swelling more. Dont think its quite ready maybe one week and then flush. We'll see ... th r smaller one Will still be harvested first. Will check trichs tonight and verify, they should be milky :)
11/10 - The girls are looking frosty and they smell so good, it's like lemon candy with a sourness to it. Couple of days before harvest and started flushing with water few days earlier then Final Finish for the smaller one. Last small feeding was given to the bigger girl (will gauge if she's ready -- thinking she might be around same time). Trich's are mostly milky -- looking to bring out the best of the Sativa for her rather than cough lock heaven. Vegamatrix nutrients also don't require a flush, but I'm giving her around 5 days flush to give some final finish and all the N is gone from her system ... pretty evident. I need room bad, so I also can't hesitate much longer as my tent can't fit my all my girls right now, it's on a the very small side (2.5x2.5x63)...
The strain is top notch when it comes to scent and flavor. It will ooze resin and terp's all throughout flowering :-) It's very strong smell though, it will test your carbon filter! When it comes to bugs like whitefly's the plant obviously doesn't stop them. Mold resistance seemed to be high as it's a plant that does well in mediterranean climates and didn't show any signs of mold even when humidity went high.
Growing this plant started as a dream. It's smell and scent was incredible. It still is and the small early sample I had was great (pretty good considering no curing yet). However, beware of the white-flys and go easy on the nutes at first. One plant, my very big one handled it well, but the other smaller one didn't. Secondly, I think the bigger Sativa could have gone about 10 weeks while the Indica one only around 8.5 weeks. She reacted well to topping and LST'ing so you can feel free to do that and she will response well!
@JUNGLE_B4RNS is the yellow around the leaf edges on top bud nutrient burn? What thou think ... I've slowed down since then a little bit., but thinking it should be good last frw weeks...
@ElevatedThinking,i missed this comment i only have basic knowledge when it come to foods i stick to canna or ionic whats voodoo juice they like it i take it
@@Tryhard, I started with EarthJuice advanced feeding schedule for veg. But, for flower I'm using Vegamatrix line... got the starter kit for 26$ off if growershouse. Then bought the Big N'Sticky which is like humic acid with carbs and vitamins. I gave the Voodoo Juice for first couple weeks of veg and bloom.
Looking absolutely beautiful!!!!! I hope my Amnesia looks half as good as yours when I start flowering her. Great job, I can't wait to see even more from you in the future :D
@ElevatedThinking, Thanks buddy. It's and accidental breeding of a Lemon Alien X Quantum Kush. Totally a random strain that I'm just flowering and breeding for the fun of it at this point. Thanks for the wishes. I genuinely appreciate it!
May good karma bless you with a fat harvest :D
@WhiteWidow, Thanks 👊. Never grown a Barney's strain, yet, but choose to pop 3 of these next instead of some others -- only 2 beans popped. I'm hoping there are really two phenotype, because that would be really cool to see, but it may be too soon.
@DabCrab, Yup. Want to put them under my CMH, but will wait just a few days for them to firmly set in. Interesting thing is the tap root already came out the bottom of the rapid rooters, pretty crazy!
Began flushing the smaller one today. She is as big as she'll get. I burned her quite a bit and she's ripening. Gave last feed to bigger one who seems to be little behind the other. Will start flushing her soon after. Plan is to harvest smaller one in around a week or so -- out if space for my new ladies and eager to apply what I've learned.
Will add more pics after done drying, didn't get any of the bigger colas taken ... will show weight on scales after dried ... been hanging for 6 days and still drying.
Cut down the smaller plant tonight ... needed more room for moving in Bluest of Strawberries. She looks good, but def notice the buds on the bigger plant are twice the size in comparison to the smaller and even more frosty. Will post pictures and I'm trying a dry trim this time. I cut only big fan leaves and some dead leaves off -- she's now hanging to dry. Still waiting to harvest the big girl.
What do you think of terpinator for now ? I will try for my next girls.
anyway a little excess of nutrients but the buds are really beautiful
Good job bro 👌
@Herbalize, thanks. Yea I know It's weird because the bigger girl handled it well but the Smaller one burned easily. 5 gallon vs 3 gallon. Eased off any N last couple weeks, even though vegamatrix still says feed 5 mil/gallon. Not to much yellow, will see if it gets taken from the leaves next week out two...
@Bigpun, Thanks. I hope they turn out super sparkly -- still new at this, so it's all iterate, learn, iterate.
I'm no photographer, but sometimes the lights on will make interference so you got to play around with it.
@biggreens420, bro the sample I had drying for 5 days was amazing. Too wet to smoke, but OK for desktop vaporizer :) Taste was very unique like lemon skunk, but something sweet and floral added to it. Can't describe it 100 percent but delicious.
