Fasted grower of the 3 strains this grow. Quite amazed by the speed and size. Also because they had quite a tough start. I germinated the seed in the end of March here in the Netherlands. At that time there wasn't a lot of sun and temperatures were quite low. That's why I put the strains in the greenhouse. ------------------- Update 29-07-2019 Havested and dried the popcorn-buds. They gave 3,6 gram. Really love this strain! The effect is quite body orientated. It gives a tranquil body high with a mild head high. Makes me laugh in a very moderate way. Thoughts are not influenced in terms of rushness (haha, is that a word?!). All very tranquil. The taste has developed through the weeks. First it tasted quite the same as the organic NL they sell here in a coffeeshop. Which was a bit like bubble gum/cloves. But now there is a very nice piney taste occurring! I love pine. this curing is quite an interesting fase of cannabis. All in all, great strain!

First time using it, haha, no clue what effect it had on the growth. Too bad BioBizz didn't answer my question about my slight N problem. I choose BB because I wanted to grow my plants organic.

When dried, cured and vaped I will update! Left the popcorn buds to grow further?! Hey man! Good to see they started flowering. As for the bugs, from the picture it looks to me like it could be a fungus gnat. See if it looks like this: https://arnoldzwicky.org/2017/08/13/fungus-gnats/ In case you have gnats, they usually appear when you water your plants too often or the soil stays wet for too long. It is also common to have fungus gnat eggs in organic soil mixes. In small numbers they are inoffensive but if you don't treat them they can really fuck up your plants. They lay eggs in the soil and the little larvae stay in the top 3-4 cm layer of your pots and feed on your plant's roots among other things. This can lead to root rot, and can end up really slowing down even killing your plants. They are easy to treat though - just stop watering so the top layer gets dry, that will kill a big number of larvae. Also yellow sticky traps are very useful for controlling the population of adults. Other than that, you can spray the top layer of the soil with a neem solution. The combination of these techniques should keep them at bay. I just found a few in my grow last week, used these techniques and saw a big improvement. Now I hope you really do have fungus gnats otherwise this long post was for nothing πŸ˜‚

@@Lucimago,Hey Lucimago, hahaha, 'Now I hope you really have fungus gnats.....'. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach me how to get rid of these buggers. I do think these are fungus gnats, so I will get my hands on those yellow sticky cards and use neem. I think they might have came last week. I gave my plants quite an amount of water and after that the weather was cloudy/wet for the whole week. So the soil couldn't dry so fast. Maybe next time when I need to. water my plants, I'll just soak them in water so the top layers stays dry.... Thanks again and take care!

old leafs die, totally normal, but looks like a bit of N problems, probably lock out, just a thought, if it's not that then yeah you can remove the leafs, but if the problem is spreading, cut out the N. πŸš€

CRiSPrGrow
CRiSPrGrowcommented6 years ago
@StealthyDutchGuy, yeah you want flower-appropriate NPK ratios at this stage, cut out the nutrient with the most N to PK ratio completely i would say. πŸš€ good luck man just dont mess up your wet dry cycle my trying to flush or whatever hope this helps πŸ‘Š
StealthyDutchGuy
StealthyDutchGuycommented6 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, Hmm, thanks for your reply. I just took another look at the plants, especially the Dinamed. I think it is spreading. So do you mean I should stop with giving BioBizz Bloom? That has the highest N, on the bottle. Looking forewards to your reply!

Hey dude quick question. But maybe a long answer. How did you go about drying the buds? Would you change anything
StealthyDutchGuy
StealthyDutchGuycommented5 years ago
@Ganjagardenner,Hey, cool question. Will try to answer it as clear as possible. Here we go: *Check what the weather is like in the upcoming week. In my case dry and warm; choose to leave sugar leafs on the buds. No wet trimming/manicuring for slow dry. Also leave stems on. *In early mornig cut branches, remove fan leaves bij hand along with the smaller fan leaves. *Hang buds upside down. I used one of those foldable shopping crates where I spung rope. *my location to dry was a shed with the outside door open for ventilation *After 4 or 5 days I put the buds in mason jar along with mini hygrometer from amazon *After a while, check RH. When >65%, take buds out and hang to dry longer. How long is up to your intuition... :-) =, <65%, leave in jar with lid open Close lid when around 60% and keep checking RH regulary. My aim was 62%. Whem more than 62% open jar again. My whole drying took like 7-8 days. *My opinion on Boveda packs. They are good at raising the RH when too dry. They will NOT bring the RH down in any way. :-( Must admit. Sounded too good to be true. This is my experience and presumed best way to dry 'unprofessionally' after a few harvests. Next time I might dry in a box/closet with a small carb filter. The smell was quite 'noticeble' in our livingroom.... :-) Pfwew. Long answer. Hope this helps! Let me know how it worked out for you. Serious, very curous what your experience is/going to be. I don't have a lot of people to discuss these things!

The yellowing of lower leaves is fairly normal when a cannabis plant reaches the end of its lifecycle. Your plants still have some time to bloom. so i think the reason this happened a bit early on in bloom is because of the slower growth early on and extended time in veg. Personally i always remove these dying fully yellow leaves as the plant uses its energy to keep those leaves alive and it's better to put that energy on healthy parts of the plant. But that's more of a personal choice.

StealthyDutchGuycommented6 years ago
@Stickyfarmer,Heej, thank you so much for your input. I am way less worried about them now.... πŸ‘. I also think that @swampmonster had a really good hunch about the N problem. Even while not seeing the plants in real life, just from a picture. Respect. It's not a big thing but suspect he is totally right. There was some 'clawing' happening but I just couldn't place it because of being a Newbie. Haha, last week I sent an email to BioBizz with the question why the amount of N is so high in their Bloom bottles. It says 20-7-4. I understood that blooming plants need LESS N while blooming. They didn't answer unfortunately. Later I found out the bottle says 2.0 instead of 20. Hahaha, my eyes aren't what they used to be.... But I don't understand why they put a .0 behind the 2. Again, thanks for the input! πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Nice progress. I think you can give the plants a little bit of extra nutes looking a bit pale in first pic (Hindu Kush) think it would love that. I also reside in The Netherlands and weather is not so optimal for outdoor growing right now. Can't wait for summer to start so these plants can start to bloom to their full potential.

Don't think you had a Nitrogen problem. It's quite normal the lower leaves to turn yellow througout the flowering cycle. Read up on this: https://www.growweedeasy.com/nitrogen-deficiency-cannabis Giving to much nitrogen will turn the leaves dark green. But maybe the pH of the soil/water was not optimal and restricted Nitrogen uptake. But i think it's due to flowering. I see the same thing happening at one of my plants now.
StealthyDutchGuy
StealthyDutchGuycommented5 years ago
@Zonnetje,O.k. Interesting. Thanks for your comment. Both the Dinamed and my NL had some leafs pointing streight down. Don't know for sure if it's 'clawing' as they call it. I think I will cut down on the BioBizz Grow next round. Good luck with your plants, they seem to be really happy πŸ‘πŸ˜€

StealthyDutchGuycommented6 years ago
@@Lucimago,Yes, I hope things will smooth out. I think I will not give them any nutes for a while. Accept the Hindu Kush maybe. If it is Nitrogen toxification, I could have noticed it before. I was like: that's strange, some pointy leafs bend down, like a hook.... But still not really obvious I'd say. Time will till I guess... :-)
