JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my first indoor grow! I initially let the seeds pre-germinate in a glass of water. As soon as the first little root was visible, I put them in a Jiffy. They were allowed to continue growing on the windowsill in the propagation box for about two days. On the third day, I finally transplanted them into 11-liter fabric pots and set them up in the tent. The BioBizz Light Mix was enriched with Green House Feeding Bio Grow (5 g per liter) and 20% BioBizz worm humus. I watered them with tap water. Light: 300 PPFD VPD: 0.5 kPa

JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my first indoor grow! The two ladies are growing rapidly and have received their first dose of BioEnhancer (3 grams in 3 liters). On day 18, I topped them above the third node, a mistake, because I should have actually topped them right above the second node. It's also the first time I'm training my plants. JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my first indoor grow! Dude, these two ladies are really getting started, they're growing like rockets! The LST is working really well. On day 24, I topped them again, this time above the second node, so they grow more evenly at the same height. I'm still watering with tap water, and they’re noticeably taking in more of it now. JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my first indoor grow! The ladies are still stretching a bit. The buds are getting prettier by the day, and slowly the tent is filling up with a sweet, musty smell. They've received Green House Feeding Bloom as a topdress again (33 g per plant), as well as the Bio Enhancer. The back plant is already starting to show some purple, while the front one is showing signs of nitrogen deficiency. It's getting lighter and is lagging a bit in the flowering stage. So, I went ahead and ordered the fertilizer range from BioCanna and also picked up a high-nitrogen organic raised bed fertilizer from Toom. Light: 800 PPFD VPD: 1.0 kPa

JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my first indoor grow! The buds are swelling more and more, and the left plant is starting to show some nice purple hues. The right plant is lighter and still shows signs of nitrogen deficiency. To counteract this, I'm giving it some Toom Bio raised bed fertilizer with an NPK ratio of 6-0-4. After just three days, the leaves are already looking a bit greener. I'm a bit disappointed with Green House Feeding; the fertilizer just isn't enough even at the maximum dose. I expected more for the price. When I open the tent, a sweet, heavy scent hits me, and the rotten smell is finally not in the foreground anymore. Light: 1000 PPFD VPD: 1.2 kPa

JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my first indoor grow! The plants are developing really well! The buds are getting thicker by the day, and the front plant is giving off a wonderful scent of cherry gummy bears, just genius! She's recovering little by little from her nitrogen deficiency, thanks to the Toom organic fertilizer as well as BioCanna Vega and Grow (each at full dosage). The two ladies are really very hungry; I give them about three liters of water every four days. With the summer temperatures, I'm currently only able to maintain a humidity of around 50%. But I make sure to provide enough air circulation to minimize the risk of mold. I'm really curious to see how they continue to develop! Light: 1000 PPFD VPD: 1.2 kPa

JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my first indoor grow! The buds are getting thicker, and there's a heavy, sweet scent in the air inside the tent. They get about three liters of water every three days; I water based on pot weight, and the amount is just perfect. The purple plant has been showing brown spots on the leaves for about a week now. They're increasing, and the affected leaves are gradually dying off. At first, I thought it was over-fertilization, but I've ruled that out by now. Then I suspected a pH issue; the pH of the runoff is at 6.5, which according to Google is totally fine. Now I've come to the conclusion that it's a CalMg deficiency (EC value of my tap water: 0.3). So I'm adding some mineral CalMag from Canna. My first impression is that she's already doing a bit better; whether that's really due to the CalMag or just a feeling remains to be seen. Aside from that, I'm very satisfied; it's just impressive how thick the buds are getting! Light: 1000 PPFD VPD: 1.6 kPa

JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my first indoor grow! The buds are just starting to swell a bit and are now beginning to ripen. The trichomes are already fully milky, but still without any amber parts. I think I can harvest by the end of next week, as soon as the first amber trichomes show up. The buds are giving off an intense scent of sweet flowers and a bit of cotton candy, with occasional notes of cherry gummy bears coming through. I'm really curious to see how they will smell once they're harvested. I'm continuing to feed according to plan and also giving plenty of CalMag. Watering is done every two to three days with two to three liters of water each time, depending on the pot weight. All in all, I'm very satisfied and hope it stays that way. Light: 1000 PPFD VPD: 1.6 kPa Glad you stopped by again.

JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my first indoor grow! I was wrong, the buds are actually still swelling up! They have now reached an impressive size. In the strain description from Ethos, it said the flowers would become "baseball-sized," and I can absolutely confirm that! Both plants have developed really thick, compact buds. We're slowly heading into the home stretch now. The plants are drinking significantly less, and I estimate that I can harvest them in about two weeks. Until the end, they will continue to receive nutrients and CalMag. Light: 900 PPFD VPD: 1.8 kPa

JackOfAllTrades Hey there and welcome to my first indoor grow! I really enjoyed the last week, just opening the tent and looking at these incredibly beautiful plants, there’s hardly anything more beautiful. I check the trichomes daily. The purple plant is now ready and shows about 10–20% amber trichomes. Its scent is initially earthy and slightly gassy, before an intense, sweet-creamy aroma unfolds, simply delicious! The green plant is expected to be ready for harvest next week. It also has that gassy base scent, combined with a hint of grape soda or cherry gummy bears, definitely my favorite! I’m really curious to see how both will taste after curing. This week will follow with the harvest update. Light: 800 PPFD VPD: 1.8 kPa

Insgesamt 7/10 Punkten.

JackOfAllTrades
JackOfAllTrades commented8mo ago
@SuiXideGhXsT, thanks Gromie! Everything is hand-trimmed, otherwise the beautiful trichomes are lost 😌, but it comes with a time cost 😴.
SuiXideGhXsT
SuiXideGhXsT commented8mo ago
@JackOfAllTrades, I totally agree with you 💯. I have a trimming bowl that saves a bit of time. But a lot really gets lost. Well, what I mean is lost, you filter out the plant materials and then make hash from the trichome heads. I already take forever to do it roughly. But really beautiful work, hopefully my next trimming job looks at least somewhat as good.
JackOfAllTrades
JackOfAllTrades commented8mo ago
@SuiXideGhXsT, for my last grow, I used DryFerm and then did a wet trim. I find a wet trim much more relaxing and it goes faster time-wise :). The bags were worth it for that 🙏🏼

Stony_German commentedweek 101y ago
I wouldn't worry about that. It's currently hard to keep the VPD perfect with the heat. Too much CalMag can also negatively affect cation exchange, leading to nutrient lockout. I would go for a CalMag product, though. Otherwise, the final phase is approaching, and you've done a great job. The buds look amazing for this stage.

@Stony_German, Hey Stony! Thank you so much 🙏🏽 I open the tent every day (it's my highlight of the day) and give them lots of love ✊🏽. In one of your reports, you also mentioned it was the secret ingredient :). Okay, then I'll take the CalMag agent from Canna. I had been using BioBizz from the start according to the plan and stuck to the maximum dose, so I was really surprised that I had CalMag issues :/. Up to what EC should I add the Canna to the tap water (EC 0.3)?
Stony_German
Stony_German commented1y ago
@JackOfAllTrades, Hey there. Yes, my secret ingredient for lots of frost and tasty buds is "love, passion, and patience" 😁😉 but also paying a lot of attention to airflow, the VPD (which might be a bit too high at 29C and 50% rh), and the drying (60% humidity and ideally below 20 degrees Celsius) at the end for the mildest smoking experience. But you're on the right track, nothing will slip now, just water a little less at a time. No worries, everything looks good on your end.

Yes, it could definitely be Cal/Mag issues — at this stage of flowering, the plant needs more of it. You should also lower the temperature in your grow space — 29°C is too high. Try running the lights during the night when the room is cooler. That should help you stay around 26°C, which is much better. Do you have a circulating fan in your tent? If not, add one as soon as possible — otherwise, you'll risk mold issues. The leaf symptoms you're seeing might be the beginning of such problems, so be careful! Also, watering 3 liters at once is too much — you’re saturating the roots, and that makes it harder for them to breathe properly. It’s better to water daily with 1 liter instead — this will support the roots and help the plant function more efficiently.
JackOfAllTrades
JackOfAllTrades commented1y ago
@D33jW, Thanks. Thank you for your input. Unfortunately, I can't get the temperature below 29 degrees because I live in the attic. The lamp turns on at night and off during the day. I have an AC Infinity Cloudray S6 Gen2. It is set to level 8-10, depending on the humidity in the tent. I will continue to give CalMag in higher doses. Hopefully, there will be no new brown Spots.

Stony_German commentedweek 81y ago
They look great. I can't explain why you're having problems with the GH-Feeding nutrients not working well. I've been using it for years without issues. The soil should never dry out too much and shouldn't be too wet so that the soil life keeps the nutrients available. If all else fails, Canna Terra is an option. It works perfectly even with tap water. I'm convinced that Biocanna is also well-balanced. Happy growing, buddy.
JackOfAllTrades
JackOfAllTrades commented1y ago
@Stony_German, Thanks and thanks for your input. So I water in a way that about 2.5L to 3L fit in (in an 11L pot, which might just be too small for the organic fertilizer) until a little drain comes out. So right now every 2-3 days 3L. The light plant also fills about 2/3 of the tent and is quite a bit larger than the one in the back. Now that I'm adding more fertilizer, it has already improved and it's slowly getting its color back.
