Popping 3 FastBuds Fastberry seeds from Oregon Elite Seeds. They were received in Feb 2019 USPS box where they were removed within 5 minutes of delivery, inspected found good, and placed in the crisper drawer of the fridge at 20% humidity 50 deg F in double sealed opaque Tupperware . Everything is on a seed mat keeping things nicely in the mid 70s and total darkness, 6.5Ph.
Eventual home of seedling mix in two inch peat pots has already been introduced to organics in very mild dose and ditto for the rooting goodies. It should be a nice home for them. Eventual plan is to move to 6" fiber then three or five gallon fabric pots that will be using Recharge to build.
Cant think of a thing I have missed. But then yall may :)
4/4 Day 0 18 hours soak nothing has popped open... not good but maybe.
4/5 Woot! 3 tails about 1 cm over night. I do hate this part of things, reminds me of pacing delivery waiting rooms...
Into the 2" fiber pots. nice easy no nuet seedling mix in top half, some extra pearlite and very mildly enhanced mix in bottom. Turned the small grow light on them, a bit of water, and wished them well.
4/6 all breaking surface
4/7 Day 1
Using the coir pots required a bit different watering, they must be prepared BEFORE planting. Get em soaked so they do not wick, if they do keep the pot itself moist until it begins to expand, this means its ok. Well I wanted to learn lol
BTW my seedling light went to its final reward a couple of days ago. In a pinch I made a light based on this video (see below). Well I can say the cool white (daylight) bulbs do indeed work. Have 8 powering the new light and the plants love it. Is even dimable :)

4/12 Day 6 - Still under the LED grow light which they seem to still love. Second set of true leaves have sprouted so the moisture domes (plastic bag lol) came off today. Keeping RH at the plants running 60-70ish (40-50 in the room as I have plants drying in the tent and it cant get higher). Doing well now on a diet of silica and PH water only until ready for the tent in a few. Will use all at that point.
I am looking for an organic replacement for Fox Farms Tiger Bloom and Grow Big. I like the Big Bloom product being organic but really need a nitrogen and PK replacement as we consume a large amount medically.
I prefer something that eliminates the need for flushing. Thanks
Seen a lot of growers using BioBizz nutrients on this platform.. those are the nutrients I plan to use when I start my organic grow in a few months. All the videos and information I've seen about them indicate Biobizz performs really well and it doesn't need a flush.💪💪
@Fast_Buds,
Yes any additional information you might have on the strain.
I see that it likes low levels of fertilizers due to changes in terpines if over done, I plan on using Recharge, Kangaroots, silica, CalMag all at full strength with Grow Big and Tiger Bloom at 1/2 recommendations.
Comments?
Looked through your blog did I miss info on it?
@@Aiiogrow,
Thank you
My son pointed out these were all names of deadly hurricanes (we used to live on the Gulf) and I assured him it was just a coincidence.. ;)
@magicUmbrella,
My first go round with fiber pots, so far they are great and allow me to transplant with no shock.
4/15-
Now a proviso there is really little separating the soil from the environment. Even Peat gives a bit of insulation but here there is a few strands of fiber between dirt and air with these, which is their great strength and weakness. Have to keep a closer eye on the temp and humidity is all..
