Hello fellow growers !
Just harvested some fine Indica flowers, so this time I decided go for a Sativa strain; the brand new Amnesia Mac Ganja from RoyalQueenSeeds !!!
RQS was so friendly to send me some seeds, some nursery products, which I will try out on this grow, and all kind of other stuff you can see on the first picture.
As soon I got my new beans, I started to germinate them in the Easy-Start plugs.
Most seeds germinated, but a lot of them refuse to start growing. Strange.... because I usually have a germination rate of 95% with the seeds of RQS and 90% of them grow into a beautiful plant.
I asked RQS for 20 seeds. They send me 25. Perhaps they knew that the germination percentage of these AMG seeds was very low...
I planted 25 seeds, but unfortunately only 12 succeeded. 👇 They've all germinated, but it seemed like half of them didn't want to grow. 😖
Not what I'm used to from RQS seeds. Normally 90-100 % of the their seeds succeed. I have experience with the easy pot plugs and have never had any problems with it. So I'm curious if other growers have the same problem with the Mac Ganja... 😏 of may it have another cause ? 👽
In itself it is not a problem, then they have more space. 😋
I repotted the 12 plans to 1 liter pots with some potting soil that I had from a previous grow. The content consists of mainly slightly fertilized soil with perlite.
DAY 18 Repotting the 12 plants to their final 14 liter container of fertile home-made soil mix :
2 x 50 l. Bio-Bizz Light-mix (with perlite)
1 x 50 l. B-cuzz / Atami Bi-Grow mix
1 x 5 l. Perlite
500 gr. RQS Easy Boost
360 gr. Seaweed lime
80 gr. Bentonite (calcium)
60 gr. Kieserite (magnesium)
DAY 26 is also DAY 1 of the start of flowering process 12/12 👍 . With a flowering time of 10 to 11 weeks, I am not going to wait too long to start the flowering process.👌
Plants almost doubled in size in a week's time ! 😍
-Smallest plant is 19 cm
-Biggest plant is 26 cm
Some leaves of plant number 2 still have curled edges.😏 Anyone have an idea what could be the cause?

AMNESIA MAC GANKA
Pictures : DAY 33 (since sowing) / DAY 8 of flowering :
Smallest plant is 32 cm
Biggest plant is 46 cm
All plants are growing nicely. I grew Amnesia (clones) before, but these babies look much different than the Amnesia I'm use to growing. Although the plants have the growth rate of Sativas, the leaves are more like those of Indicas (see the leaf on the last picture). mmm.. a promising Hybrid....🙏
During the first weeks of flowering I strive for a high humidity (with the help of a humidifier). In this way the VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficite) does not get too high. Because with a 600 watt HPS it can sometimes get a little too hot. Fortunately my Dimlux controller calculates the VPD and so I can always make adjustments.

DAY 15 :
👉 !!! ALERT !!! 👈
With pain in my heart I had to say goodbye to half of my plants. They all turned out to be males .. 👺
No hermaphrodites, or a sporadic male flower ... but real male plants.👹
Anyway, the advantage is that the remaining 6 ladies now have more space. 😄👉
No nuts
Height Females :
3 : 70cm
4 : 74cm
5 : 59cm
9 : 64cm
11 : 59cm
12 : 47cm
DAY 17 :
Because the fan leaves cast too much shadow on the lower branches, I have removed almost all the fan leaves on the central plant stem. I also removed the lower weak branches.
Although it is a sativa, the leaves are quite wide, and take away too much light for lower parts of the plant. Certainly because this time I chose to remove almost no branches.
Normally I only remove large leaves when they have turned yellow, but this time I am trying out a drastic leaf pruning (on the recommendation of a successful friend). We will see how it ends ...
DAY 22
3 Weeks have passed since the flowering process. 47th day since planting the seeds.
The ladies didn't show any problems after removing the large leaves a few days ago. They are now blooming beautifully.
With some empty pots upside down as support, I brought the plants to the same height, so that all plants come close to the light.
Height :
plant #3 = 99 cm ; + 41% since last week
plant #4 = 104 cm ; + 41% since last week
plant #5 = 83 cm ; + 41% since last week
plant #9 = 88 cm ; + 38% since last week
plant #11 = 82 cm ; + 39% since last week
plant #12 = 58 cm ; + 23% since last week
DAY 27 a small defoliation of 2 pairs of upper fan leaves per plant.
DAY 29
4 Weeks have passed since the start of the flowering process; 54 days since planting the seeds.
Flowers appear all over the plants. With only 6 plants under the lamp, the side branches also have the opportunity to produce beautiful flowers. The first trichomes are visible.
The growth has slowed. Much difference in size between the six plants.
Height :
plant #3 = 117 cm ; +18% since last week
plant #4 = 119 cm ; +14% since last week
plant #5 = 92 cm ; +11% since last week
plant #9 = 101 cm ; +18% since last week
plant #11 = 91 cm ; +23% since last week
plant #12 = 62 cm; +7% since last week
DAY 36
5 Weeks have passed since the start of the flowering process; 61 days since planting the seeds.
More and more trichomes appear on the small leaves close to the flowers. The plants spread their scent.
The growth has almost stopped.
Plant # 11, but especially plant # 12, have light green bracts (small leaves between the flower tops).
Height :
plant #3 = 121 cm ; +3% since last week
plant #4 = 121 cm ; +2% since last week
plant #5 = 94 cm ; +2% since last week
plant #9 = 102 cm ; +1% since last week
plant #11 = 94 cm ; +3% since last week
plant #12 = 65 cm; +5% since last week
DAY 50 All plants are doing great. 💪 I started to add Green Sensation to keep them fed during riping.
Plant #3 is a few days slower than #4, but she is still ahead of the others 👌.
Plant #4 is a quick one. She's already ripening. Her buds become hard, pistils turn brown. Almost no new flowers. The tops are now littered with trichomes. 😛
Plant #5 and plant #11 are the same size. They are also very similar. 🙌
Plant #9 looks a bit like #5 and #11, but she's far more pretty 😍
Plant #12 is small but not tiny. She has few side branches because of her small size. But her main cola is perhaps the thickest of them all. She certainly needs at least 3 weeks of flowering.
Height :
plant #3 = 121 cm
plant #4 = 121 cm
plant #5 = 94 cm
plant #9 = 102 cm
plant #11 = 94 cm
plant #12 = 65 cm
Height :
plant #3 = 122 cm ; +1% since last week
plant #4 = 122 cm ; +1% since last week
plant #5 = 98 cm ; +4% since last week
plant #9 = 106 cm ; +4% since last week
plant #11 = 98 cm ; +4% since last week
plant #12 = 68 cm ; +5.% since last week
DAY 56 All plants are still doing great. More and more leaves are turning yellow. Green Sensation to keep them fed during riping.
Plant #3 is a few days slower than #4, but she is still ahead of the others 👌.

Plant #9 looks a bit like #5 and #11, but she's far more pretty 😍
Plant #12 is small but not tiny. She has few side branches because of her small size. But her main cola is perhaps the thickest of them all. She certainly needs another 2 to 3 weeks of flowering.
Height :
plant #3 = 122 cm
plant #4 = 122 cm
plant #5 = 98 cm
plant #9 = 106 cm
plant #11 = 98 cm
plant #12 = 68 cm
DAY 63 Today I took the plants out for a photoshoot. Outside in the sun, they are so beautiful. More and more leaves are turning yellow. Twice a week I remove these leaves. All plants are very sticky.
2 Plants almost ready to harvest ( 10 weeks ?) :
Plant #3 is in her final phase. No more new flowers. Buds becoming rockhard. Like plant #4, she is flowering much faster than the other plants. I'll start flushing. Start flushing from now on. Small main cola, but a lot of buds on the lower branches
Plant #4 is almost ripe. I 've flushed her with only fresh water for one week now. Yield will a bit lower than the slow-flowering pheno's, Rather small main cola like #3, also a lot of buds on the lower branches
4 Plants that will need more flowering time ( 11-12 weeks ? ) :
Plant #5 looks like a candle. Medium big cola.
Plant #9 is a very pretty plant. Beautiful buds, colored leaves and a very fruity smell 😍
Plant #11 similar to #5, Big Cola
Plant #12 is he smallest in height. She has only few side branches because of her small size. Her main cola is the fattest of all the plants.
Height :
plant #3 = 122 cm
plant #4 = 122 cm
plant #5 = 98 cm
plant #9 = 106 cm
plant #11 = 98 cm
plant #12 = 68 cm
After 10 weeks of flowering I had to chop them down. Main reason plant#9 got supersuddenly budrot. Fortunately it turn out to be just a small loss of bud.
The end result is beautiful: top medical grade sativa. But the way to reach my goal was not a bed of roses. Half of the seeds did not germinate as I am used to. After that, exactly half of the plants turned out to be males.
The height of the plants was very variable, but the yield was excellent, and the quality was fantastic.
I harvested the plants after 72 days of flowering. Some plants could have continued to flower for a little longer. But because of budrot on plant # 9, I decided to harvest them all together.
When harvesting, I only cut the large leaves. Then I cut the branches into pieces so that I could put each plant in a 3 liter pot. That way the plants have cured for almost 2 months, after which I have manicured them.
During curing I have been able to test the quality several times. The first few times I found that they had little effect. But the more I tried, the more I started to appreciate the effect. In recent months I had mainly used Indica's, and I probably expected the cough-locking effect. But this did not happen. The high is not at all bodystoned and the effect is therefore very different from indicas. The plant works very euphoric, uplifting and gives you a wonderful social intoxication.
The scent is, as with seed plants, quite often different from plant to plant. The general amnesia characteristics appear to a greater or lesser extent in all plants. They all have a somewhat more spicy sativa haze aroma. Some are fresher and fruitier than the others. The most fruity reminds me most of the classic Amnesia haze. They also all have a hashish odor.
Although I prefer to vape my cannabis, I find this AMG irresistibly nice for pure smoking. She has a wonderful taste, which is less pronounced when vaping. She smokes wonderfully. You feel the tickle well in advance, so you can dose perfectly. No unstoppable cough after a greedy hit. Because the buds contain many resins, it is not necessary to re-light your blunt all the time when smoking.
The buds were therefore extremely sticky when harvesting. This also made me decide to opt for a dry cut instead of a wet cut. For example, the small leaves are nicely curved along with the buds, which gave me a beautiful natural result.
The effect is great. Very pleasant, not overly euphoric, but very social. One of my favorites.
