Hempcules WEEK 1 I'm excited to start a new grow cycle here with the Monster Maker from Sweetseeds. I germinated the seed directly in the soil, and it worked perfectly. After just 2–3 days, I could already see the little seedling. This time, I used a mix of Light Mix and AllMix. I placed the Light Mix in the center of the pot so that the fresh seed is only lightly pre-fertilized at first and only reaches the AllMix as the roots grow deeper. I've set up a new small 60x60 grow tent to shorten the intervals between harvests. I'm curious to see how well it works. I'm really impressed with the Mars Hydro lamp—I've worked with it before—but I find the Mars Hydro app absolutely terrible. I'm excited to see what sweetseeds is making for quality. It's my first planted seed from them. Let’s see how it goes. 🙂

Hempcules WEEK 2 The first seedling unfortunately didn’t make it, so I planted a new one. It’s growing beautifully so far. There’s not much else to say for now. I’m curious to see how this strain turns out.

Hempcules WEEK 3 The plant is growing fast and good, and got her manifold by the end of the week. Light was running at 200 PPFD, and I’ve only been watering with plain water. I hope she’s similar to Permanent Marker. That’s one of my favorite strains.

Hempcules WEEK 4 Things are going good with my Monster Maker. She's responding really well to HST and has already been topped a second time. She’ll be getting a bigger pot soon so she can spread out even more. My light was running at 400 PPFD, and this week I added a bit of Biogrow and CalMag to the water once.

Hempcules WEEK 5 This Monster Maker is an absolutely fantastic plant. She's growing beautifully and responds really well to training. I've now cut her down to 8 main shoots and plan to top her again next week. I also transplanted her into a large 15L fabric pot with Plagron Grow Mix and switched over to the Plagron feeding schedule. So far, it's working out great. My light was running at 400 PPFD, and I watered her once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 6 My Monster Maker has now recovered from all the heavy pruning and developed 16 nicely uniform shoots. I’m currently spreading them out a bit more evenly across the pot, and then it’ll be time to flip to flower. What I especially love here is the beautiful symmetry the plant has developed—truly a feast for the eyes. My light was running at 500 PPFD, and I watered once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 7 My Monster Maker has thrived this week. She's developed a beautifully uniform structure and is otherwise absolutely healthy and vigorous. 🙂 This week, I switched the light cycle to 12 hours to send her into bloom. So far, everything about this grow has been consistently positive. Truly a great experience. I ran the lamp at 600 PPFD and watered once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 8 My Monster Maker has grown monstrously large this week. It’s spread out beautifully in all directions, and I’ve already had to do a solid round of defoliation. This plant has incredible vigor and is growing like crazy. 😉 The first pistils have started to show, although it took her a while to kick off flowering. Still, I’m absolutely thrilled and convinced we’re going to see a real monster emerge here. This week, I ran the light at 800 PPFD and watered once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 9 My Monster Maker is blowing up my entire setup. She just keeps growing and growing and won’t stop. I’ll have to move my fans to the outside soon, otherwise she’ll outgrow the lamp in no time. She’s not too far into flowering yet, but I’m hoping she’ll start putting more energy into that over the next few weeks instead of getting even bigger. Of course, she’s in perfect health and has kept her beautiful structure. Loads of strong shoots have developed, all nicely aligned at the same height. An absolute beast of a plant. I’m really curious about the aroma—hoping for a strong permanent marker vibe, since that’s my all-time favorite terp profile. This week, I ran the light at 800 PPFD and watered once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 10 The size of the plant is slowly becoming a real problem. I’ve already had to rearrange half of my setup because she’s now 130 cm tall. It’s not necessarily a bad thing when a plant grows big, but of course there are other plants in the setup with more natural growth patterns. I didn’t expect such a stretch, since I topped her for many shoots. She didn’t care at all and just did her own thing. As for the plant itself, I can only say she’s developing beautifully. The flowers are still progressing rather slowly, but that seems to be picking up now. I’ve had to defoliate heavily at the bottom, otherwise she would have been too bushy and space would have run out. She’s great to look at, but I would never grow this strain again in combination with others. Too unpredictable for me. Let’s see what the flowers have to offer. My light was running at 900 PPFD, and I watered once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 11 My Monster Maker is really starting to annoy me. She’s growing way too big and has already stretched past the lamp. I simply don’t have the space for her. Other than that, she’s doing fine. Her flowering is still very slow, but I hope that will improve soon. I ran the lamp at 900 PPFD and watered her once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 13 The plant is still too big. Unfortunately, it hasn’t gotten smaller on its own, as I would have kindly asked, but you can’t have everything. It keeps growing, though it’s still flowering rather slowly. The aroma is also developing only gradually and remains faint for now. I hope she’ll form some nice buds in a few spots and start spreading out more in width. I ran the lamp at 1000 PPFD and watered her once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 15 All other plants are out of the tent now, and I’ve thrown together this makeshift setup. It looks terrible, but at least she’s getting light from all sides now. I’ll be glad when this damn grow is finally over. I’ll probably just toss the whole plant straight into the washing machine anyway, because I really can’t be bothered to trim her. Right now she’s pretty leafy, and most of the buds aren’t exactly pretty. Maybe she’ll still improve. She’s got a little time left. My light was running at 1000 PPFD this week, and I watered once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 16 It’s slowly getting better with my Monster Maker. All that light and her size are making her extremely hungry. The buds are still quite fluffy, but things are moving in the right direction. Still, this particular plant is flowering very slowly. I’m hoping that during the remaining time, the areas that didn’t get much light before will still develop reasonably well. In some spots she’s already carrying a lot of thick buds, but they’re not as resinous as she’d like to be yet. I’m curious to see what happens here in the final weeks. Maybe it won’t turn into such a disaster after all. My light was running at 1000 PPFD this week, and I watered once with plain water and twice with nutrient solution.

Hempcules WEEK 17 This week went very well, all things considered. The buds are starting to develop some really solid volume, which—combined with their size—is great to see. She’s also become noticeably more resinous; the trichomes and my gut feeling both tell me she still needs a bit more time, though. I significantly increased the amount of water and nutrients this week, since she’s extremely hungry right now. Other than that, I’m quite satisfied with how things are going. The proximity to the lamp is, of course, a constant issue, but it seems to be working out well enough. I’m excited for the final stretch of flowering and I think I can look forward to a good harvest. My light was running at 1000 PPFD this week, and I watered twice with plain water and twice with nutrient solution.

Happy Harvest Day!

It was a really exciting run with my Monster Maker. She grew way too big and had a relatively long flowering phase. Unfortunately, the plant didn’t have the space it would’ve needed in my setup, so I could only let her spread out in the tent once the rest was finished. The long wait, however, rewarded me with an exceptionally good yield. Toward the end, the plant was able to take up huge amounts of water and nutrients without any issues. I wouldn’t grow this strain together with other varieties again, though. Despite all the stress, I’m actually quite satisfied now. The buds grew very large and became really sticky toward the end. In terms of smell, I can already pick up a lot of citrus, but not much of the Permanent Marker. Maybe I ended up with a special phenotype here.

Hempcules WEEK18 During the final week, I didn’t do much besides watering twice and slightly reducing the light. I harvested the plant once most of the trichomes had turned milky. My light was running at 800 PPFD this week, and I watered twice with plain water
