Summer 2019 Outdoor - HAPPY 420!!! FINALLY! The weather has begun to turn up here in the north and the summer grow season is fast approaching. We got an early jump on this collection of ladies and they should have about a month of growth under their belts before they make it outside to their final resting places. To stay legal and legit as well as avoid some nosy neighbours and the all too memorable jacking episode from last year - these will be split across 2 separate and secluded rural locations to grow and flourish in peace. As a result, there will likely be limited weekly updates and not nearly as many photos as I’d prefer. That said, we’ve still got some wicked awesome strains come’n up and they should be a great addition to the rest of the girls. If all goes well, we’ll have so much damn weed that we’ll be giving it away🙏🤞🙏🤞 April 23 update - lost one of the Afghan Kush. She was slow out the gate and never really got herself going. Fell over this morning and died - boo urns. The Lineup Afghan Kush - this is an in-house strain from Seedsman. A cross of Afghani & LA Kush, high THC and predominantly indica. Expected to be a classic style of the kush family that we all know and love👍. Lemon OG Candy - A 65% sativa hybrid from Philosopher Seeds. This is a cross of amnesia haze x super lemon og. Sounds delicious😋. We’ve had these for awhile now, they came as freebies to a previous order and have sat in back until now. Should be a good addition to the line up this year. Alaskan Purple - the 3rd instalment of this years kushstravaganza, this one’s a cross of Alaskan Purple, Kush and a Brazilian Sativa. Another freebie offering from seedsman that’s gettn a test run. Limited details on er but we’re hoping it’s gonna be more sativa leaning🤞. Purple Haze - the capstone grow of this years in-ground outdoors, a classic sativa from Sensi White Label out of Amsterdam. She’s supposed to be medium in size for an outdoor with a typical, but not overpowering sativa high. I just wanna see the purple come out when the temps drop😎. Gorilla Glue #4 - yep, this year we’re releasing our inner primate! There’s so much hype about this strain that we had to try it for ourselves. The good folks over at Zamnesia seeds were kind enough to provide a pack labels so now everything has a waterproof identifier👍😉. This is a sativa dominant accidental hybrid. A cross of Chem. Sis, Sour Dub and Chocolate Diesel. The high is supposed to be one of the most potent and heavy hitting around. We’ll see about that😉😎

Week 2 update - what an almost epic fail to the start of this years outdoor season!!! I pre-mixed my outdoor soil blend with compost to accommodate some of the girls that’ll be grown in pots and accidentally utilized this for all the seedlings🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. It might’ve been a little too hot/enriched for the girls and whoa - some seriously weird shit went down. I’ve been a little pre-occupied lately and haven’t had the time to be as meticulous as I normally am. This is the result. But this is also why we start early indoors so hopefully they all come out swingn when it’s time to go under that big grow light in the sky😉. The deets: Afghan kush - we lost one of em, she sprouted, gave us the middle finger for 2 days and then pretty much fell over and died. The other one sprouted great and then started showing some really weird leaf deformity. That said, she seems to be ok and still growing so we’ll see🤞 Lemon OG - whoa, the first pair of leaves went wonky on both of em and starting dying from the inside of each leaf??? I was sure that we were losing both but in the last couple days they’ve hit their stride and started putting out the first fan leaves! 😳 Minor crisis of stock averted and I think these’ll be winners. Alaskan Purple - whoa again, this thing sprouted and then the cotelydons promptly shrivelled up and died and the first pair of leaves did the same. Thought she was a goner and then low and behold... the next set started to actually grow! She isn’t outta the woods yet and anything that does grow from the next node is gonna be a little deformed but she might just make it afterall👍. Purple Haze - this one was looking just fine until a couple days ago when the first pair (again) started showing some signs of nute burn. Gotta assume that this is the issue with all of em. That said, she looks like she’s back on the grow and should be fine. Gorilla Glue #4 - props to Zamnesia, they obviously bred a resilient strain. Both of these are in the same medium and look unexpectedly stellar! No issues and thank god for that. These two and the purple haze are my must harvest plants this season. NEW! Candyland Peyote - she germ’d just fine and now we’re waiting for her to pop her head out. Let’s see what happens🤞 Background - Summer 2019 Outdoor FINALLY! This is a sativa dominant accidental hybrid. A cross of Chem. Sis, Sour Dub and Chocolate Diesel. The high is supposed to be one of the most potent and heavy hitting around. We’ll see about that😉😎 Candyland Peyote - this one was supposed to stay in the stash for a later date but I got trigger happy with all my alternative grow location availability and dunked her after losing one of the Kush seedlings. She’s a sativa dominant hybrid “one-off” from Seedsman’s Black Friday bundle deal. A cross of Peyote x Granddaddy Purple x Bay Platinum Cookies. A really interesting cross of some stellar strains.

Week 3 update - not much say’n as everything is just starting to stabilize following the initial seedling stress. Thankfully, they all appear to have weathered that shit storm and will hopefully be stronger for it. The Afghan Kush is still lookn crazy weird but you can see a normal leaf set emerging. Same goes for the Alaskan Purple. The Lemon OG is primed to straight blow up and doing much better than everyone else. Surprising when considering how badly damaged the first pair of leaves were. Alls well as we anxiously await outdoor planting day👍😎. Background - Summer 2019 Outdoor FINALLY! The weather has begun to turn up here in the north and the summer grow season is fast approaching. Week 4 update - this exactly why we get an early start on our outdoors up here. Had some issues out the gate with the seedlings - pretty sure the soil was just too hot for em. Either way, we only lost one and everybody’s rockn now except for the candyland peyote. She was a late start and again having issues. Hopefully she pulls through. Most of em have been repotted for transport to their final home now we should be planting sometime in the next 3 weeks or so. Background FINALLY! Week 5 update - not much say’n really. They’re all doing great save the late germ’d peyote which (like every other seedling this year) has struggled out the gate. Gotta pot up with the purple haze and Alaskan Purple ASAP. Other than that we’re a week away from getting most of these girls to their final resting places. Good thing too cuz the lemon og’s are starting to take over the whole place😉😎. Solid month of growth before final frost. Nice!👍 The Afghan kush is lookn great after the strange start, right behind the 2 lemon og. The gorilla glues are both healthy and growing well behind the kush. The purple haze and Alaskan Purple have been somewhat slower but have now been re-potted and should do just fine. The candyland peyote... juries still out somewhat. Might need to keep er close this season. Don’t think she’d make it if we planted her with the rest. Next weekend should be fun😎 Background FINALLY! Week 6 update - so things went squirrelly with the grow plans this season. Guess it shoulda been expected. Either way we lost a couple strains off this diary to roll with the proverbial punches but the lemon og, Alaskan Purple and Afghan kush have all made it into ground. Here’s praying that deer don’t like weed🤞🤞🤞. If you were following the purple haze, she’s still around and will be grown out of the cabinet indoors this cycle. Alls good and updates will likely slow significantly on this diary until I’ve had a chance to visit em. Peace yall✌️😎

Week 9 update - well, everything went to shit with the outdoor bonanza plans this year. Some got moved inside, some got sequestered elsewhere. The candyland peyote bit it hard shortly after breaking ground. We didn’t even have time to get the lemon og, Afghan kush and Alaskan Purple up to the other property ourselves. Had a trusted Gardner put em in the ground for us in nice, sunny areas. Limited photos but they appear to be doing their thing as Mother Nature intended👍. Hope to have more updates sooner rather than later. Thanks for checkn er out👊

Week 13 update - finally got up to see these at their outdoor location and surprisingly, all are still alive and well. We figured a deer would’ve gotten at least one of em by now but nope👍. How appropriate that we find a “candy” striped spider do’n it’s thing on the Lemon OG Candy😎👍. That’s gotta be a good omen!🙏. They look a little stunted at not much more than an avg. of less than 3’. Expected I guess with the recent heat wave and this is also Canadian Shield country so it’s rocky as fuck with little room for roots to maneuver. Stillnprobably a good thing cuz we got our work cut out for us with the harvest on everything else so more manageable if these arent total monsters come the fall👎. Interesting to see what they do for the stretch.

Week 20 update - had a friend snap some photos for me to see where were at and thankfully - we can now discern which plants are which after losing the labels. The afghan just looks smaller than the lemon og and the Alaskan purple is, well... purple! Lol. Expect there’s a good couple weeks to squeeze out of em but the pictures aren’t the greatest. Looks like we’ll have a small haul here👍. 🤞 crossed to the finish. Thanks for swingn in and stayn tunes if you did👊.

Week 21 update - just a couple more snaps from the top secret planting location. Can’t tell much but the Alaskan purple looks like it’s colouring out very nicely. Think they’ll be on the fade in short order. You know what that means - more god damned trimming.... lol. Alls good for the extra additions to the stash😎👍

Overall this was pretty cool - got to leave a few plants to do their thing for the season and all of em made it through despite less than ideal bedrock conditions. It’s truly a testament to this plants resilience. Had to dry trim em just due to timing and how many other plants we were cutting up in the month. I’ll say that dry trimming is easier but it does seem to do more damage to the buds. Ideally, the dry time is a last resort for us. End of the day, a little more stash for the stash and we finally have a rotating cornucopia of different strains to pick and choose from👍. Thanks to everyone who swung in. best of luck on the grow and may the weather be always in your fava👊.
