Qutro What’s up fam,
Much love to all the grow homies out there. Welcome to the revamped garden. This time we’re putting on the baker’s hat, trying to perfect a true classic – the Blueberry Cupcake.
Here’s the kit we’re rolling with:
Mars Hydro FC 4800 Samsung LM301H EVO 480W LED Grow Light + New iControl Smart Controller
Mars Hydro 5 Gallon Grow Bag
2025 Mars Hydro iFresh 6" (150mm) Inline Duct Fan and Refillable Carbon Filter Combo
Mars Hydro M6 Grow Tent Clip Fan 6 Inch Auto-Oscillating Fan
Air intake fan 4”
PAR meter, soil temp and PH meter.
Let’s take a look at everything that happened this week:
We kicked off the sprouting the tried and true way soaking the seeds for 24 hours to soften up the shells. Next, we used the propagator dome with the same heat mat from the shroom grow kit, keeping the dome steady at 21 °C. Since I started running it this way, germination rates have been solid – 95 to 100%.🧑🌾
After that, the seeds went straight into Root Riot cubes.
By day three, two little ones had already popped, and another one showed up two days later.
This time I placed them directly into 3-liter pots, hoping that’s a solid choice to build a strong root foundation. At transplant, we dusted the Plagron Light Mix with some mycorrhiza, and for the first watering we mixed in Root Juice and a splash of fulvic acid into pH-6.4 water.💦
To keep the little ones from being lonely, they’ll have company in the kitchen – a Persian Pie from GHS bringing the total to five plants for this fall/winter run.
After a great summer, I couldn’t wish for a better way to spend my time than diving back into our favorite hobby.🌞🌱
Wishing all the best to everyone – see you next week. Peace ✌️

Qutro Here we are with the first weekly update, growmies! What’s good?
Obviously, the first weeks don’t bring too much eye candy, so I’ll keep it short. The main focus is on root development, and we’re keeping the watering light since proper oxygen supply is key – so we let the medium almost fully dry out before watering again. That came out to about 0.1L every other day. Other than a bit of Root Juice and some fulvic acid, they didn’t get anything else. Temps during lights off were sitting on the lower side (around 19°C), but I don’t think the little ones mind too much.
It looks like all three have made it through the first week successfully, so from 3 seeds we’ll end up with the 3 plants we were aiming for just as planned.
See you soon! 😎

Qutro Hey folks,
Hope everyone’s good! This week we kept pushing on with root development. The only difference is that we slowly started introducing the grow formula, and both watering sessions came with a bit more volume this time (0,4litre). The girls ended up a little overwatered since I went away for the weekend and gave them a drink before leaving. They didn’t really need it yet, but better safe than sorry. Still getting used to the new light, so it’s been a week of testing and dialing things in.
Overall, it was a solid week, you can really see the progress in the node spacing and overall structure. We’ve officially moved into the veg stage, so the party’s about to start! If they keep growing like this, transplant into the final pots should be coming up next week.
Stay green, see you next week! 🌱

Qutro Hey everyone,
Week three has arrived, and this is when the real work in the garden began. The girls had clearly outgrown their 3L pots and were craving some extra root space. At this point, we could only hope their root systems had developed nicely so on day 20, we transplanted them into their final 19L homes. Mixed about 15 grams of Mycrotex into the soil and dusted the plant holes with another 5 grams before transplanting.
To minimize transplant shock, we dialed the light intensity down to 30% for the first 24 hours. They also got a generous watering (about 1.5L each) with all the usual nutrients except for the Grow formula this time.
They didn’t seem to mind the move at all, so two days later we went ahead and topped them at the 5th node.
Tallest gal 23cm, shortest 19cm.
Vpd: 0,85-1,05 kpa
Par: 350-470ppfd
Light intensity:30-50%
I’m really happy with their progress so far, and I feel like I’m starting to get a good handle on the new light, the PAR meter definitely helps a lot. They’re looking great for three weeks old! 🌱💪
Happy growing!

Qutro Week Start – Training Time!🧑🌾
The time has come, no more sitting back, daily work is now essential. We kicked off the week with some training, as the girls need to learn to focus on bushing out rather than growing vertically.
We used garden ties and tarp clips to gently bend the main branches outward in a symmetrical way. It always looks a bit weird at first, but this step is key to make sure the secondaries get enough light and start developing properly.
No heavy defoliation yet — just took off 4 fan leaves from each plant to open things up a bit.
For the rest of the week, we kept up with the training every couple of days (roughly every 2 days). Watered twice with 2 liters each time, mixed with the same nutrients mentioned above.
Light intensity: 55%
Vpd.:0,88-1,05kpa
They look happy and no deficiencies so far. Let’s see what next week’s got in store for the girls.
See you and happy growing!🌱😎

Qutro Week 5 check-in 🌱🔥
We keep rollin’, growmies! 💪
Last week’s heavy training sesh is paying off, the stretch has finally stopped and those side branches are poppin’ off! The girls are starting to bush out nicely 🌿✨
Had a slight cal deficiency, so I switched over to my trusty Green House Feeding Calcium. Not too happy with the Terra Aquatica CalMag, tbh
Aside from that, they’re looking healthy and vibing strong 💚
Did the first major defoliation — mainly opened up the center to let those secondaries soak up more light ☀️
Two waterings this week: one with plain water + cal, and one full-on nutrient mix 💧💪
Seems like the girls are lovin’ the light levels, so we kept it at 60% intensity, 45 cm above the canopy ☀️💡 They’re soaking it up real nice! 🌿
Nice and vigorous. I forgot to say that Bl. Cupcake loves a dryback. In Flower my LED was at max. She could handle imense ppfd and was a heavy feeder. Good luck mate.
5 Wochen reduzieren. Sie wird die stressige Arbeit aber belohnen. Viel Glück Growmie.
@Stony_German, Thanks for dropping by, buddy. Yes, I’m prepared for the stretch. I’ve read in several places – I think even in your journal – that this can happen. It’s going to be a bit tricky since I’m growing another strain in the same tent, so keeping them at the same height will be a challenge. But that’s the beauty of this hobby, isn’t it? If there’s anything else you’d like to share with me, I’d really appreciate it. In fact, please let me know if anything else comes to mind.
Growers love buddy!😎🌱
Cupcake. Viel Glück Bruder 🙏
@Sour_D, I’ve tried Blueberry before but never actually grown it myself, so let’s hope you’re right, my friend. Good to have you swing by, always appreciated!👊
