Seedbank: Dinafem "Coraline-Clara" My first working clone after many many attempts (+30). It took 8-12 days for the clone to root. I used a rooting gel and specialized pellets. The Transplant into nutrient-rich Aveve soil was done on 17/07/2017. Her mother Coraline is of a good growing Dinafem's Critical Jack Photo. I've given this plant to a friend to care for. I've grown the autoflower version of this strain once before (2 plants). I know she will need extra CalMg in the future. "Queen Billie" Dinafem Blue Widow. I started this from seed late February or early March. She was the sole survivor of 5 Dinafem seeds that probably got the worst germination environment I've ever dared to use. Most of its germinating siblings got eaten by small underground white-translucent wriggling worms. The contamination of which I belief would have been most likely bad soil. But it could have had any other cause or causes. NEVER GERMINATE IN WINTER SUN NEXT TO A SLY WINDOW. 02/08 The clone "Coraline-Clara" is still feeding from the pot and is doing very well. She grow about an inch this day (2-3 cm) :D. 25 cm now 04/08 "Coraline-Clara" 27 cm. Staked her with a little stick. She was growing "tower of pizza" like and clones lack a decent strong deep taproot. "Queen Billie" Transplanted "Queen Billie" into a 30l airpot. I had nothing better but it was long overdue. Did some bending and soon she will fill the entire closet. Will need to milk (anti-fungal) most plants in the room, since the transplant took place in the Jungle - aka - Infestotopia :@. And Do Some shake-n-vacuum to combat the possible small fly populations. But that's for tomorrow. 05/08 I've starting tucking away some leaves on Coraline-Clara. The stake helps, so does the strain. This Critical Jack pheno, the good long pheno allows and aids in this easy bending by creating a few big leaves instead of turning bushy. CLONING I don't find stem-cloning Dagga (DIY cloning) to be an easy process to be frank. The cherrytomato variety I'm cloning practically clones itself. I'm hitting almost a 100% success rate on both the 'rootcube + gel' and the 'glass of water' method. This is strak contrast to MJ where I'm currently at 1,33% success rate ;S. I've build per clone DIY humidity domes out of 1,5 litre Coca Cola bottles. I've used rooting cubes and gel. I've even tried a few of my own creative obscure voodoo stem scarrings beyond the "yaw cut - 45degrees stem cut". For my newest iteration of cloning I 'm using a white round bucket, a semi-translucent deep dish, root cubes, rooting gel, the "yaw cut" and a section of toiletpaper cardboard - you know the present you get after you finish a toilet-roll. The Toilet-Surprise ! But I'm veering off-topic, off to a monkey topic :D. Point is: I want to get good at this shit. I want to collect all techniques. All Gardening-Jutsu. So Let's keep going at it "Monkey Style". Cheers and Many Bananas, Goarilla

This is my shame plant. My witch. I milked her with a milk, water and olive oil mixture. I used olive oil instead of the more aromatic oils (Neem, Sesame, ...). - She has small mutated stunted growths. - Hanging clawing/wilting colour losing leaves. - A few Calcium deficiency spots. - Purple upper stems. - Very small internodes. - Necrotic margins on a few. - Yellow 'bleached' tops. - The leaves are thin and feel papery. I want to reboot her by cloning but there is a lot of hardwood. Took 5 clones off (16/08) We'll see what happens. We'll see if it works. 18/08/2017 Dear readers, Ding Dong the witch is dead, the witch is dead. I've killed Billie, my last Dinafem Blue Widow. She shed her water which indicates an imbalance in the salt content of soil, feed, water. This size of this airpot (33L) is also completely impractical for this closet and my physique. Monkey man is scrawny, a jungle Tech-Hippie. I actually never got to experience this strain. 4 out of my 5 seeds were eaten by rooteating critters in my contaminated soil. It's a sad sad day. A Shame. Sorry Dinafem. Cheers and Many Bananas, Goarilla FIN

Bear with me. It's a mixed salad. With a mixed set of problems. I have a Bagseed Kalifa Kush with too long legs and too small buds, The plant is not shown on purpose :D ! 3 Dinafem Moby Dicks: 2 in a semi-SOG style grow (3,4L pot), and 1 in a freeer profile (6,8L). 2 Dinafem Critical Jack Homemade Clones from Coraline Clara. These currently hae a little purpling and had to deal with light nutrient overfeed in the past. And last but not least 2 Dinafem Blue Cheeses: they differ in shape of leaves and one occupies the bitch spot in this closet (place with lowest light condition - just below the fan). The light Horticoled Xmax 4 is currently blazing at 180W (R40,B100,K100) and can go as high as 330W although vertical space is an issue here. Cheers and many bananas, goarilla

I have fungus gnats, thrips and some orange critters but shit some do look good. Never had them look this good indoor before. One of the pictures is white-balance corrected. It's also the one with the plants codenames. Note to myself, get all of them fully healthy before going into flower. I'm at 180Ws still, not about to up it just yet. Some plants are clawing a litle bit like they are overlighted. Gonna wait a week. Did change the composition of the light though, went from 40R,100B,100K to 50R,90B,90K. I killed the Khalifa Kush bagseed, she developed nanners lots of them in the bud. It was full of nitrogen but me and my brother monkey smoked it and got high. I have to thank B4RNS for responding to all my shemale related questions. Started adding some Mg supplement to some plants. Cheers and many bananas, Goarilla

The plants are eating themselves nutrient wise so I tweaked the nutes formula. I also decided to vacuum at least once a day in my flower room and the insect problem has mostly disappeared :D. 07/12 I'm flushing the Blue Cheese 2 (BC2), the one that still grows but is too full of N, because I've found my 2nd and 3rd "nanners: male flowers. I will forever be in doubt if this was because of stress induced by my stupid mistakes or just an End of Life phenomenon. She is quick to finish though. We're currently at day 52 in flower. Good finish. I yielded about 130 grams in a 180W max light closet. These were all excellent Dinafem genetics. The Blue Cheese and Moby Dick surprised me both The Blue Cheese is a super tasty and aromatic cultivar while the Moby Dick is a big yield big nug machine. It just everybody smile when they get one of those solid cones in their hands. The White Widow citrus/fanta aroma's make it a very familiar and happy sensation. Just like the White Widow it hits fast. I 'm kinda sad I didn't stack up on them instead of only on Critical Jack's on the 2x1 and 3x2 sales. Damn ! Well that's it. Cheers and many bananas, Goarilla

Looking good mate😃 Do you like to work with G-TOOLS? I have used the Bonanza 600 and 3 x Wing 600 (+ height expansion) for a long time but they tents are so much more workable in my opinion. I always used a SCROGnet inside the closets and it's not beneficial for the health of your back😅 It annoyed me as well that you have to take out the doors if you really want to work inside your environment. Another problem (with the Bonanza model): they used MDF ''wood'' for their panels (very cheap) and this works like a sponge. The panels have a water/fireproof top layer, but not on the sides so moisture will come in, resulting in fungi and closet doors that can't be opened anymore (the doors/panels expand because of the moisture that unavoidable comes in). If you use an Autopot system in the Wing/Bonanza for example, make sure that you fill up the bottom plate, because it will bend in the middle, resulting in malfunctioning systems.

@Sindria_UGC, Yes they suck ... Or to put it more nuanced ... It might not be easy to build a cheap workable closet and this one got some huge issues. But it got me off to a good start. I can insulate myself from all the advanced stuff for a little longer (filters, vents, timers or even simple tent-knotting). I do have a small 2x2x5 tent with a cheap mars hydro but I'm still getting to know the light and the tent. But I concur: fuck pre-build closets !

Try small fans blowing on the surface of the media for the gnats. Ladybugs (ladybirds) will kill them also.

Woah buddy, these girls are looking beautiful. You are doing some real top notch stuff with these autos. Fantastic work here. Best wishes growing :D

@goarilla, My mistake. I thought Dinafem made mostly autos. Lol. They all look fantastic regardless.

@DabCrab, Thank you for the compliments. They are not auto's though, this is my first indoor photo 12-12. A mixed salad really. They all have had and will have their own set of problems. The Critical Jacks are my 3rd generation clones of a Sativa dominant Dinafem Critical Jack F1. The other ones (5) are from seed and 2-3 weeks younger.

Clones taken from a healthy plant carry exact genetics. Some strains can only propagate via cloning and have been around for over 30 years.
