Day 22: - Continued LST on "EM-1" & "EM-2" - Watered with 25% Remo Nutrient veg cycle mix: - Micro - 2ml/gal - Grow - 2ml/gal - Nature's Candy - 2ml/gal - MagNifiCal - 1ml/gal - Water pH'd to 6.3 Day 23: - Continued LST on "EM-1" & "EM-2" - Started LST on "EM-3b" - Leaf tucking on all plants to expose branching - No water Day 24 - Increased light intensity from 35% to 40% - Training on "EM-1" and "EM-2" - Watered with 25% Remo Nutrient veg cycle mix: - Micro - 2ml/gal - Grow - 2ml/gal - VeloKelp - 2ml/gal - Nature's Candy - 2ml/gal - MagNifiCal - 1ml/gal - Water pH'd to 6.2 - Rearranged plants so that all 3 Early Miss are receiving approx. 18k to 20k LUX. Day 25 - Increased light intensity from 40% to 50% - Continued LST on all plants - Watered "EM-1" with very small amount of Remo nutrient water (that was left in the watering can from yesterday) - Removed one of the other "test strain" plants from tent to make room for rearranged "Early Miss". - Sealed exhaust fan to carbon filter connection. - Warmer outside temperature and higher light intensity require exhaust fan speed to be increased from 20% to 40% to control tent temperature. Day 26 - Reduced light intensity to 40% for first 6hrs, then back to 50% - Minor LST adjustments to all plants - Leaf tucking on all plants - Watered lightly with 6.4 pH-adjusted garden tap water Day 27 - Reduced light intensity to 45% - LST and leaf tucking on all plants - Watered moderately with 25% strength nutrient solution, pH adjusted to 6.2 Day 28 - Flowering noticeable - Maintained light intensity at 45%, 20/4 schedule. - Leaf tucking on all plants, LST on "EM-2". - The leaves of "EM-1" are looking a little discolored. Not sure if it's from light stress (50% intensity seemed a bit too much) or from pH or nutes or...???

Grow Questions

Brown/rust spots have been increasing on one of my 3 plants. Appearing on upper and lower, newer and older leaves. Does not appear to be a light/heat issue. Treating it as possible Cal def by increasing cal-mag nutes.
Solved
Leaves. Color - Mottling

hey there , calcium was the symptom but light stress was the culprit i'm afraid, you gotta lower your lights to around 30cm (max) - 40cm (min) it seems close, but in fact that's pretty normal, that plus a regular regimen of cal mag and the problem should stop spreading almost immediately. Hope this helps ! ๐Ÿš€

@Fitzwell, it's my hope that some day my garden and bud shots alone will be enough to draw the crowds! ๐Ÿ˜‹

hey there you have calcium deficiency, add calmag including as a spray and the plants should recover within ten days !

@CRiSPrGrow, Cheers! I"m just hoping these ladies can stick it out at least another week or so. I don't see "EM-2" recovering too well but hopefully she makes it through! ...and ya, been meaning to jump on the chat and say hello. ๐Ÿ˜‹

@CRiSPrGrow, Thanks! Wasn't sure if it was Cal or P deficiency. I've increased both my CalMag and phosphorus so hope things start looking better before final week of flush. Thanks again for the input!

Hi @VanCplGrows! Nice ladies in there ๐Ÿ˜ I'm thinking more of a Phosphorous deficiency, considering you're giving loads of nutrients, I think your plants had enough Calcium and Magnesium. My bet is that you're having salts buildup in your medium, because of an intense feeding schedule and probably a lack of runoff, your rootmass is flooded with old nutrients, and is unable to manage nutrients intakes anymore (lockout leading to deficiencies). In this situation I would flush the medium with tap water buffered at pH 6.2, then help the medium to dry by putting a small fan blowing a continuous breeze on the container's surface. Once almost dry, see how this goes, and probably give it a good meal with Phosphorous and Potassium. Affected leaves won't recover but the new ones should be healthy. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! ๐Ÿ‘Š

Hey @Stick, thanks for the message. Ya, i've sort of started focusing more on the phosphorous rather than Cal-Mag. My feeding schedule for most of the grow has actually been pretty light. I usually feed 2-3 times per week and only with 30% of the recommended dose. It's only been this past week that i've increased the nutrients. When feeding, i typically only water just until run off starts. When watering with plain pH'd tap water, i tend to water fairly heavily and the run off comes through relatively clear. I've tried to maintain the idea that under-feeding is better than over-feeding but since i don't have a proper EC meter, only a pH meter, it's hard to truly know what's coming out. I figure this will probably be my last week of feeding, then will do a 1 week flush, so not a ton of time for me to turn things around but i'll keep your advice in mind to try and avoid any future problems. Much appreciated! ๐Ÿ‘

i think it was more a ph problem at roots which effect her "P" uptake.๐Ÿ‘บ
