Grow_for_Happiness Here we grow again! This is Blue Dream, another strain I've wanted to try for a while now. Watered 3L with nutrient mix then planted seed directly in substrate and covered with a dome. 4 days later they pushed through. Two days later (today) removed the domes and starting veg week.

Grow_for_Happiness Well the first week is in the books and the girls are looking great! Onto their second set of leaves and holding themselves up well. Small clip fan for air circulation helps a lot the first week with strengthening the stalks. Upped the lights to 80% and plants are now getting 500-550 umol/s each by end of week.

Grow_for_Happiness Here we are at the end of week two and these girls have really taken off already! Doubled in height and already stretched out past the edges of the pot. Made the move at the end of the week to the Mars Hydro 4x8 and under the Photontek 465w Pro. All hooked up to the Autopot system and Airdomes are running 24 hours a day, so should see some big growth soon. Crazy to think these girls spent the first 21 days just coasting off of the initial 3L watering on seed planting day, and soon they will be drinking 3-4L each per day! So far really liking the look of these two plants, nice structure and a wide stance already, could be nice and bushy with the blueberry lineage.
500 umol/s at end of week
Stay tuned for more growing fun!

Grow_for_Happiness Well these girls went and exploded with growth this week! Just as predicted, once the Autopots were turned on these girls started gulping nutrient mix and are really hitting their stride! The front plant is a monster, trippling in size and growing almost evenly. Wil give some light LST in the morning to bring the top down a few inches to really flatten her out. Helps that she is also a few days into flower so the stretch is on. Back plant is growing a little shorter and slightly more bushy. Might start training down the whole front plant if she insists on being a giant hahaha. Otherwise just raised the lights and increased the power to 80% to help with temps and more even spread. Hitting 670 umol/s front plant and 600 umol/s back plant.

Grow_for_Happiness Well lookie here, the first week of flower is done already! These girls are looking great, shooting up in height with bud sites exploding everywhere. All despite me having a bad flu and doing basically nothing to them except filling the reservoir, and even that was a chore! Thank God for the Autopots. The humidity was a little higher for flower than I like, creeping around 66-67RH, but after I realized it late week I put a 10" fan on the floor pointed down the tent and problem solved. I was feeling good enough early week to give some LST on the larger plant, widening her out and being down closer the the smaller plant. By end of week they're now both the same height. Success! Some light leaf tucking on the back plant and a few fan leaves removed but nothing major.

Grow_for_Happiness Here we are at the end of week two of flower and these girls are doing great! Vertical growth seems to be slowing this week as they only gained 5", but that's still pretty good growth. I find blue strains tend to be on the shorter but wider side, and these two seem to be following that trend. The front plant lost some lower leaves, they just started drying up and curling in, but otherwise plant seems pretty healthy. Could be just a bit low of nutrients, so I bumped up the feed on the base nutrients by .25ml/l and they seem to be happier. Can't adjust feed too much as I have multiple strains on the same reservoir. If they start to go really out of wack I do have a smaller res that I can hook up to 1-2 plants in case they really need a feed adjustment without effecting others.
Back plant has some lightening of the upper leaves, the light did creep a bit close early week so could be the cause. Could also be because the autopot line got plugged and she went half a day without water, then gulped through 3-4 cycles as she caught back up. Either way, still looking good overall and no real concerns.
Did add a nice little upgrade to the grow system this week. Had been noticing that the fans were cycling up and down much more frequently than normal, and Charts were showing humidity spiking from 60-65 within seconds after the fan slowed to idle, which made me start to think there were humidity pockets in the lower canopy. So I added a floor fan and within minutes the inline fans evened out. Great, but did not want to keep this floor fan in the tent as it's not weather rated. So I MacGyvered myself a fresh air diffuser pipe out of extra equipment I had lying around. Basically a piece of 4" drainage pipe cut to length with the holes bored out to 3/4". Capped one end, and the open end I put through a hole which I cut slightly undersized so when I slid the pipe through it sealed quite well. Pipe runs entire length of tent and is hung by ratchet hangers. Connected to a 4" ACI inline fan which feeds through the wall into my basement main room which is 21°C and 35-40% RH. The inline fan is running at 3 while idle, and increases as the 6" exhaust fan cycles up. Now the environment is at a steady 57-58%RH and 25-26° and the fans are running steady at 30%! Very happy with the results, will be a permanent feature in the big tent going forward.

Grow_for_Happiness Third week of flower is done and these girls are looking pretty darn good if I do say! Bud sites are swelling are becoming more abundant, and while there are still some lower leaves spotting and then drying out the girls are chugging along like champs. I think the cause of the deficiency (lower leaves usually means deficiency not excess) was that I forgot to start the cal-mag on last week of veg. Not sure if it's because I run the base nutes at half strength, but I find when I use their cal-mag I don't have the yellowing issue. Started up again beginning of week and by end of week did not notice and new damaged leaves. Hopefully we're back on cruise control now.
Speaking of which the environment upgrades last week are really shining, tent down at 55-57% RH and fans running at 40% most of the time occasionally picking up to 60%.
Light is at 90% and giving 650 umols average on the canopy.
