VirginiaGrower She began in a paper towel, then moved to a Rapid Rooter lined with Myco and soaked in water with Molasses, then moved her into a solo cup filled with Happy Frog with a tad of DE for the silica. First water was with the mixture that the rapid rooter soaked in as it was also ph'd.😊

VirginiaGrower It's the start of the new week, and she'd doing wonderfully. I can't wait to see what she does :-) She will be trained as she looks like she could outgrow the tent if I let her go, lol. She will be in her new home by the weekend and into the Big Girl Tent :-) Watering as needed. Update: She made it to the Big Girl tent a little early :-) She's in a 5 gallon pot filled with Fox Farm Ocean Forest, Perlite, Myco, and DE. She was watered at 6.3 with Superthrive before and after transplant.

VirginiaGrower Day 1 of week 2, and she's doing well. She was transplanted into her 5-gallon home a couple of days ago with FFOF. Watering with ph'd water for now, as it's still a little early for added nutrients, other than myco and molasses. Update 2 days in of week 2 and she has 4 sets of leaves and is bouncing back with her color. I've given a touch of Cal-Mag. We are at the end of our 2nd week, and she is doing well, despite an over-abundance of light and wind. As I was preoccupied with everything Christmas, the light distance got a bit too close, causing some light and wind burn, which I have realigned the light to correct ppfd/dli, and backed the oscillating fan down. She is growing her 6th node, and I will attempt to FIM- this grow will be my first attempt to try out this technique when the growth is big enough. I will give her some SuperThrive with her water the day before attempting this to help with stress.

VirginiaGrower Well, the deed is done. She has 6 nodes, and I watered yesterday (wk 2) with SuperThrive, and I Fimmed her today. Although, I've topped before on other grows, this is my first FIM. Hoping I did it right and didn't go too high or too low. Time will tell, of course. I'd love some feedback on the FIM one way or another. I also Fimmed my other 2 plants that are "of age" and will have pics in their respective diaries. I will let her recover, and when I start to see new growth, I really should remove the huge fan leaves. Update: 2 days after her FIM. She also has some brown on the leaves at the FIM site. Otherwise, she is doing well, and has opened up and even started a bit of new growth. Watering as needed. Update: we are 2 days after the last pics. She seems to be really doing well, and it's a blast watching the transformation of her top into no top 😀 She started on 1/8 dose of Foxfarm Nutrients with today's watering. I'm expecting to LST in the nextcday or two. Took several huge fan leaves off of he to open her up. Picture of the Blue Dream shows an average size of the leaves.

VirginiaGrower I started defoliating here and there to remove larger leaves, but mostly to clean up the under the canopy for air movement and light to other nodes. This grow has had a minor fungus gnat infestation, so she's being treated with Mosquito Bits, and has had 2 treatments so far, and 2 more to go. Sticky traps are placed, and I have a very low purple light running during "night-time" while in veg. I've been using a moisture meter (the old-fashioned ones) and waited until it said dry, but I guess she needs to be drier. We will effort that, lol. She had a dose of Fox Farm nutrients last Friday and will be getting another small dose this Friday (tomorrow). Since her FIM she's been growing outward as a primary focus, which was my goal, lol. She is getting LST and tucking, along with the light defoliation.

VirginiaGrower We open week 5 with a Magnesium deficiency. 😣 This was to be expected at some point as I was only feeding about 1/4th dose of cal-mag, and last dose was Friday. She's hollering at me that she needs a larger dose as can be seed in the pic, so instead of 1/4th dose, she was given a 1/2 dose. We'll see how she responds and increase as needed. She is being turned to flower mid-next week, so the cal-mag would need to be increased anyway. Lighting is at 90% with both the main light and the supplemental lights. To keep her PPFD/DLI in check she will go to an 18/6 light schedule. Update: Her Magnesium deficiency didn't cease with 1/2 tsp of cal-mag, so it was increased to 1 tsp. I will continue with this dose until just before the end of the flowering stretch. Leaving the leaves in place for now as they aren't that big.

VirginiaGrower At 6 weeks Veg, this little girl has been through the wringer. 😔 Of the 4 plants that I am currently growing, she was affected the most by magnesium deficiencies and light/heat issues. She seems to have rounded the corner as she has not shown any additional magnesium deficiencies for about 4 days now. I lowered the light from 90% to 80% and changed out the original carbon filter (1yr) with a new one, which lowered the temperature from 83+F down to 75F, and my fan isn't working nearly has hard. Once these changes were made, her drooping leaves are perking up, and I do believe they look a little more green and not so yellow. If everything goes well, she will go into 12/12 within the next couple of days. 1/22 Today is the start of a mid-week turn to flower. She was given nutes again as she dried for 3 days and we are still playing catch-up on nutrients. Along with that, she was given SuperThrive and her last dose of BTI for fungus gnats which appears resolved. She was also topped with rice hulls as a protection from the dreaded fungus gnats. I'm doing better with checking the weight of the pot and confirming with a moisture meter that she is dry enough for water. Lights were adjusted for PPFD and DLI. Update: She was watered with Ph'd water. You can see the difference between the pics from earlier in the week and the 2 taken today (last pics). She was turned to a 12/12 2 days ago, and is looking great!

VirginiaGrower She has entered her 2nd week of flower and is doing great! She just had a water feeding with myco and molasses. I had installed a scrog net and today removed it after realizing that watering 4 plants in 5-gallon pots in a 3" x 3" was a little more than challenging. I just need to trust my past LST and current LST to do the job.

VirginiaGrower We are now at day-21 flower. We will defoliate her tomorrow and get her opened up tomorrow. Her nutrients are being adjusted for post 3 week flower and feeding her buds. Update: Earlier in the week she was flushed with Fox Farm Sledgehammer. 2 days after, her watering included her nutrients, doing away with the Grow Big. Today, we watered with Recharge. Also today, she had her last big defoliation Day. Changed position of the plants, and adjusted the height of the light and dialed in PPFD and DLI.

VirginiaGrower She's made it to her 4th week of flower :-D The lights were on a bit high when I took the pictures, so she does look a little peaked. This week will be a recovery week, since she had so much stress last week. Flushing, defoliation, nutrient changes, etc. I'm seeing little things here and there, but nothing at this point to worry about - at least right now, anyway. Her PH is holding, so I know that at least that isn't an issue, lol. She had her nutrient water today, and in 2-3 days she will receive just PH'd water. It is this stage that is my Achillies heel and have had to deal with lockout on previous grows, so I'm really trying to respond to what the ladies tell me, but not over-react. So, this week needs to be kind of be a reset to see where she really is nutrient wise. Update: She's still recovering from her flush, and the lights were a little close, so moved them up a bit. Her EC/PPM/PH are in range. A little low, still within tolerance. Testing was done after a water only feeding, so she should be good with the next nutrient feeding in 2 days.

VirginiaGrower This past week, we've been working on her "colors of the rainbow" look. Since the flush, my nutrients have been really low. Although in Veg, I was doing 1/2 nutes per numerous suggestions for Fox Farm, but starting with flower, I went to full does per the Fox Farm Schedule, and after flush went back to normal feeding, followed by watering the next feeding. So, what issues I did have pre flush, were magnified after the flush and not using the need amount of nutrients. Nutrients have been adjusted for 2 consecutive nutrient feedings, with a watering the next feed - depending on what she is doing. Hopefully I'll give an update in a couple of days with some positive feedback from the girl. Unfortunately, this update is a duplicate post. Right now, I'm in the same place with all 4 of my girls - some handling it better than others. Her nutrients have been increased across the board, hopefully catching up before next week.

VirginiaGrower In her 7th week, she is looking quite frosty :-) She has been put on a water only diet to flush those salts out to give us some nice tasting flowers. As with the others that I've grown this time, we experienced nutrient issues due to salts. I believe we have rectified this for future grows and look forward to seeing what I can do in my 3x3, lol. She's been quite the trooper, and I anticipate harvesting in the next week, as she as about 10-15% amber at this point. She ended the week with a watering and a trim-up of the bigger leaves that she had on the outside and inter-canopy. She spent another day soaking up the light on some of the buds that had been covered by bigger fan leaves. She was then placed in darkness to begin the harvest dark time.

She was relatively easy to grow; however, she is sensitive to Phosphorus deficiency which is why I put her a normal and not easy. All in all, she wasn't a hard strain to grow and train. She was FIM'ed and I probably won't do that again because the of the cluster that happens as a result which means close internodal spacing and a clumped-up area. I will no doubt grow her again :-) This wasn't a bad way to end the first grow in 2026! She has a strong pine and tropical fruit scent to her, and I look forward to trying her out as soon as she's totally finished. Happy Growing :-D

VirginiaGrower She started her week out in the darkness and was there for about 48 hours. She was brought out today and harvested. I was pleasantly surprised with the 367 wet grams. I'm going to guestimate at her dry weight of 73.4 grams (2.62 oz). She was washed and then hung to dry, with my old Controller 69 pro keeping humidity levels where they need to be, lol. I will update with final numbers once she has been trimmed from the stems to complete her harvest 😁
