VirginiaGrower 2 days into week 1, and she's a happy girl! Her leaves are already reaching the edges of the solo cup, but she has her 3rd set of leaves that have barely appeared...between the 1st and 2nd set of true leaves, she'll stay here until mid-week or until the end of the 1st week of veg. Watering as needed😉Of the 4 different strains that I am growing, she is the tallest :-D Update: She's found her home in a 5 gallon pot and doing well!

VirginiaGrower 1st day of her young 2 weeks. She was transplanted several days ago, and she is bouncing back nicely. I didn't change the height, as I sunk her to her cotyledon leaves, but she's already showing new growth :-D Update: Changed height. I began giving her a very small amount of Cal-Mag. She is doing really well; however, she is the smallest of the other two that were started at the same time. 1/2 way into wk 2, and she has 4 sets of true leaves, working on her 5th set 😊 Update: We are at the end of her 2 weeks. She is growing her 6th node, and I'm getting a little apprehensive. I have topped plants before, but this time - with this grow, I'm wanting to try my hand with FIMming. My luck I'll wind-up FIMming the other way and topping instead, lol. She is doing well, even with some small issues with a fan that was up to high which I turned down but it had already caused some wind burn. Plus, with several days of cooking for Christmas, I wasn't as focused as I should have been, and the light had gotten a bit to close. I'm looking forward to seeing what week 3 brings.

VirginiaGrower She's turned three weeks today, and she has 6 nodes and is doing well. She is one of 3 that I have FIMmed today. I hope I did it right. Lots of reading and pictures, lol. She was given SuperThrive with her water yesterday in preparation for today. I'm hoping that waiting until 6 nodes will benefit her in a faster recovery. Once I start to see new growth, I'll take a couple of the older fan leaves off to open her up and get rid of the damaged leaves (wind and light burn). I'd love some feedback on her FIM. Update: It's been 2 days since her FIM, she appears to be doing well, but as I had not performed the FIM technique previous to two days ago, not sure if what I'm seeing is normal or not. Her leaves in that area appear brown, so I'll keep an eye on her. She's already started growing in the FIMmed area, so hoping the browning is normal and part of the process. Update: she's grown out of the little bit of brown that she had, and she didn't skip a beat. I removed some of the huge fan leaves (size shown in one of this week's photos. I'll start to LST in the next day or two.

VirginiaGrower She's doing really well. Since her FIM, she has been growing outward with a slight increase in height, which is what I was aiming for. Treating her with Mosquito Bits for a fungus gnat infestation and running a very low purple light during lights out while in the Veg stage. I need to keep a better eye on getting her dried out. I've been using a moisture meter, but obviously, she still hasn't dried out enough. She is getting little minor defoliation - big leaves, air movement, new sites needing light - also tucking what I can, but only so much of that - that can be done without impacting the air movement in the inter-canopy. She will get another dose of Fox Farm nutrients this Friday. Last nutrient dose was this past Friday, so going slow and making sure she has a positive response.😊

VirginiaGrower Our 5th week is showing a hint of Magnesium deficiency. Her cal-mag has been stepped up. I'm taking a different approach on this grow (4 plants all different strains), waiting for the plant to tell me what they need instead of giving doses of nutrients that aren't needed. Usually by this time, you can see the salts seeping out of the cloth pots. This grow isn't showing any salts seeping through. 😁 The downside will be that I will now see deficiencies here and there. I do believe it's better to underfeed than to overfeed, possibly creating subsequent lockouts of other nutrients, which I have been very successful at doing in past grows. 😩 Today, her lighting has gone to an 18/6 light schedule to keep her PPFD/DLI in check. The main light and supplemental lights are both at 90%.

VirginiaGrower She is now into her 6th week of veg, and the past week has been a difficult one. We've been working on a magnesium deficiency and high heat/lighting. She is coming out of the deficiency nicely, and I had to change out the carbon filter that has been in my tent for the past year and lowered the lighting by 10%. It's been 24 hours since the light and filter were changed, and the feedback is positive😊 I intend on turning to flower in the next couple of days if everything goes well. Update: 1/22 Tonight she will have her 1st night of 12 hours of darkness. She went 3 days since her last watering and as we've been playing catch-up on nutrients, she received another dose of nutes along with SuperThrive and BTI for fungus gnats. She was also topped with rice hulls since I can't run the small bug light during the 12/12. Lights were adjusted in height and strength to get her PPFD and DLI in line for flowering. Update: 2 days into flower and she's looking good. She was watered with PH only water.

VirginiaGrower She is looking good as she starts her 2nd week of flower. She was given Myco and molasses in her water. Since she is doing well, I wanted to give her a small break from all the additional nutrients and bti. I had a net on her for about 2 days, but it makes watering very difficult. I was trying to get away from the ties but being that I'm in a small tent and using 5-gallon pots, trying to reach around through the "windows" to water the whole plant was a no-go, lol. She is getting a light trim of several leaves so that the big 21 day defoliation won't be so stressful.😊

VirginiaGrower Blue Dream is doing very well, and today is day 21 of flower, with defoliation happening tomorrow. Today was just too busy to spend the needed time. Nutrients are being adjusted to account for the slower growth she will have and to feed those beautiful buds :-D She woke up to her last big haircut :-D She was given a good watering with Recharge afterward. Lights were also adjusted for PPFD and DLI.

VirginiaGrower She has just entered into her 4th week of flower :-) She is looking good, but there are little signs that she is still recovering from last weeks stress. She had been stripped of her nutrients, defoliated, and some small changes to her nutrient regimen. Today she was given her nutrient water and will follow up with just PH'd water in 2-3 days. I'm just keeping an eye on her, but I'm sure she could still look a little worse for the ware and tare she received last week. I definitely don't want to make any more changes just yet until I can see where she settles this week. Update: She is still recovering from her sledgehammer flush, but we are in a better place than we were. Her PPM/EC/PH are a little low, but tis nutrient check was done between nutrient waterings, and we appear to be on the right track :-)

VirginiaGrower It's been a long couple of weeks. Since the flush, my nutrients have been really low. Although in Veg, I was doing 1/2 nutes per numerous suggestions for Fox Farm, but starting with flower, I went to full does per the Fox Farm Schedule, and after flush went back to normal feeding, followed by watering the next feeding. So, what issues I did have pre flush, were magnified after the flush and not using the need amount of nutrients. Nutrients have been adjusted for 2 consecutive nutrient feedings, with a watering the next feed - depending on what she is doing. Hopefully I'll give an update in a couple of days with some positive feedback from the girl. Unfortunately, this update is a duplicate post. Right now, I'm in the same place with all 4 of my girls - some handling it better than others. Brighter days ahead :-)

VirginiaGrower In week 7 she has cloudy trichomes, with an amber here and there. Her time with bud packing is fast coming to an end. Even with nutrient issues, she was a stellar trooper! There's not much that she can't overcome :-D We adjusted nutrients and have a new watering pattern that I will carry forward with new ladies. With all of that, I am happy with where we are, but look forward to building on our progress :-D

She's been a pleasure to grow! This is my 2nd Blue Dream harvest. She is very tolerant and forgiving. This was my last seed from Seed Supreme, so I will probably see what the difference is with another company, not because we were disappointed, but we just would like to see how they differ :-)

VirginiaGrower She was placed in the dark for 2 days. This is the first grow that I'm trying this pre-harvest 48-hour dark time. Unfortunately, I don't have a same strain comparison with one in light, right up until harvest. Anywho, she then had her stems cut, washed, and then hung to dry. Allergies to dust run in my family, so we're trying out washing. This should also help majorly with any outdoor grows with dust and pollen being the issues there. She is currently drying on a laundry drying rack until she's ready for her final trim off of the stems. We'll package her in jars and burp over the next 2 weeks and then place her in terpene bags. I was pleasantly surprised at her wet weight, as the whole grow had phosphorus and cal-mag deficiencies in mid-flower and I spent the next couple of weeks just trying to get that back into balance. She dripped dry for 2 days then I moved her to the rack where Maui Wowie is finishing up her dry time, to make room for the next two plants that will start their dark time. All in all, she came through like the trooper she is :-D I will update with the dry weight but guestimate that it should be around 72 grams.
