How do you tell when it is time to water your plants and is it a good idea to put an inch of perlite on top of the growing medium?

She looks great. If she's that big in 2 weeks she's going to be a big one. It's very easy to over water in the beginning and a common issue especially when you have a small plant in a big pot. Keeping the humidity as high as possible 65-70% for seedlings is great until their root system gets bigger. Best way is to let the top inch dry to about the depth of your first knuckle. Next pick up your pot and feel the weight before and after watering it takes time to get the feel. In the first few weeks you don't need to water the entire pot. At the stage your at if you water a circular area about 6 to 8 inches around the plant you should be good. The water will moisten an area larger than you watered. Remember the root system is still very small. Lastly get your hands on an electronic moisture meter to help you determine how much moisture there is at different levels in your pot. I use one myself especially between week 3-6 after that they drink like crazy. Good luck I will follow your grow.

Pretty happy with the progress, Not much to complain about, just struggling a bit with determining how much to water.😄

This weeks progress looks good. Not much any problems, Going to start LST soon, however, the plant seems a bit loose at the point it comes out of the soil, scared to bend it too much. any recommendations to make the base more stable?

Everything seems to be track. No complaints, Let us see what the LST brings to the grow! Should begin to up the nutrient levels slowly. Been on the low side of feeding nutrients.

The recovery from the LST is amazing. The plant quickly regained shape and is back on track, hopefully going to do another round of LST. Trying to get the side branches room for more light before flowering begins.

Everything looks alright so far. Did a bit of LST to make space for airflow and increase light penetration. Not sure if I should start removing small bud sights, to help the main ones get bigger!

This week is going to be interesting, Going to be changing the nutrient ratios, do some soil topping and some light LST. Hope these flowers keep growing!!! looking for advice on whether I should remove the smaller bud sites. I have tried to watch videos and read up on it, but I am even more confused, considering this is an autoflower. Any help on this topic would help big time!

What an amazing week! Just doing what is needed. Feeding once a day now. She's in preflower and the trichomes are starting to appear. Any thoughts on cloning an autoflower?

Stopped feeding Bio-grow nutrient due to Nitrogen toxicity. Only continuing with the Bio-bloom. The smell is getting intense every day. I will be watering until 20% runoff from now. looks like she'll be ready to harvest in +-3 weeks.

Signs of Potassium and Phosphorus deficiency still showing, even after increasing dosage. Trichomes still clear. Maybe another week until flushing.

A great week went by. Starting flushing this coming week. Should flush for about one to one and a half weeks before chopping them down. The smell in the room is overpowering.

Great week. Nothing but flushing her with about 3 litres every 2 days. pH of runoff is 6.55. Just waiting for the trichomes to become milky and a bit amber.

Sorry for the late update! Been really busy the past couple of weeks. The plant has been cut and buds are drying now. I thought I would put up a couple of pictures just before I chopped her down. I will be posting some final pictures soon with pics of the dry bud. The smell in the room is intense citrus and dark chocolate. Can't wait to try her out!

The buds are looking lovely, bright, potent, dense and sticky! I havent tried it out yet, waiting for a good cure. The buds are in jars now with Boveda bags until cured. The plant was hung for a week. I trimmed half the plant as a wet trim and the rest as a dry trim.

Amazing opportunity to be able to share this growing experience with the community. It's so great to have a platform where we can be helped and guided on anything grow related. There are so many unknowns and I think I have realised just how complicated growing good bud can be. I am humbled and respect the plant more as a result. I am extremely happy with the results for my first grow ever! Until next time!

@Fast_Buds, Hi guys! I wanted to find out if it is wise for me to remove the smaller bud sites growing lower down on the side branches? Any help would be much appreciated!

@Dr_Auto wrote “ ... any recommendations to make the base more stable?“ Add soil for support. We see you’ve rolled the bag down a bit, so there’s room. Snip off cotyledons if still on, and even a node or two to get the soil up to the top of the bag. Wrap your hands around the base of the stalk and push firmly down on the moist soil. ALL PRO TIP - moisten soil to the correct level BEFORE adding it to the pot. The subsoil portion of the stem will grow roots. And position a gentle fan to stir the air enough to barely move them. Best wishes for a great harvest

Hi, your plant look great. Maybe give them a little more water they look just a little bit dry leaves are hanging a little As for your question on our thoughts You can clone an autoflower but its not really recommended you will get small and underdeveloped plants And maybe the 24-7 lighting is anbit harsh on the plants did mine on an 18 hour light per day schedule as recommended by fast buds, gonna do rhe next one on 20 hours but the plants need a little rest just a little advice don't get me wrong they look good Got any questions just send me a DM Good luck on your grow and especialy smoking it when its done Cure the buds good and you will enjoy it a lot Very nice flavour and a nice buzz The longer you cure them the better they are going to taste keep personal stash in a glass mason jar amd when i open it the smell is awesome and the taste is perfect Love this strain

Heya, the plant is starting to frost up nicely :) You should be proud for a first grow you plant is excellent!! I hope the tips I gave you helped a bit. It's hard to judge things from the other side of a computer, so I apologise if my comments seemed negative or discouraging, you are actually doing very very well. I will keep an eye out for new photos and will look forward to seeing them at the finish! All the best!
