VirginiaGrower Began with the paper towel method, then off to a Rapid Rooter, soaked in water, Myco and Molasses and inserted into a solo cup with Happy Frog and perlite mixed with very small amounts of Diatomaceous Earth for the silica, Myco Bliss and Molasses.

VirginiaGrower She has her 2nd set of true leaves and is doing well. I'm expecting to put her in her permanent home this weekend and into the Big Girl Tent :-) Watering as needed. Update: Her new home is in a 5 gallon pot filled with Fox Farm Ocean Forest with added Perlite, Myco and DE. Watered at 6.3 with SuperThrive before and after transplant.

VirginiaGrower She is doing nicely after her transplant into the 5 gallon pot. Ph'd water only as it's still early for nutes. She is now growing in FFOF. Update: She looks really beautiful, strutting her 4 sets of leaves 2 days into week 2 😀. I supplemented with just a bit of Cal-Mag, gearing up for her 3rd week. We have quickly closed in on the end of her 2nd veg week. She is doing well and looking great. I will probably not give her any Cal-Mag next week as her color is getting a little too dark green. We had some issues with light and wind amount, so backed the oscillating fan down and adjusted the light for PPFD and DLI. I am going to attempt to FIM this week as she already has her 6th node, so we'll see how that goes. I'll give her some SuperThrive the day before and with the water following. Not sure when I'll start her growing nutrients, as she's still looking quite healthy.

VirginiaGrower Today is 1ay 1 of week 3 with 6 nodes. As this grow is a sativa run, I've decided to try out the FIM technique. This is one of 3 that I fimmed this morning. Critiques definitely welcome, and time will tell if I did it right. With her water yesterday, she was given a bit of SuperThrive, hoping to help with the stress. Once I see new growth, I'll remove a couple of the older fan leaves to open her up to the lights. At this point, I don't believe I'll bend her but will definitely LST. I'll wait to flip to 12/12 until my youngest (one week) is ready to be to be also turned. Update: It's been 2 days since her FIM, and she appears to be doing well and healing. She's not showing, as of yet, a need for weekly nutrients, but once she has recovered, I'll start on a very low dose of nutrients to get her ready for flowering in several weeks. Update: The girl is rocking her FIM 😀 She was watered today, and started on very low doses (1/8 th doses) of nutrients with vitamins. Over the past 2 days, I removed the huge fan leaves (pic above of Blue Dream). She is responding well and I will start to LST in the next day or two.

VirginiaGrower I've had to defoliated some of the larger leaves and underbrush, of course you peak in on them the day after and it looks like it's all grown back, lol. I will continue to do light defoliation for air movement and to give more light to those smaller stems that have developed. I've had to battle a light infestation of fungus gnats with the help of Mosquito Bits. We have 2 treatments under the belt, 2 more to go. I've also placed sticky traps in the pots and have a "purple" light with sticky cards in the tent, which I have run during her dark hours. Thank goodness this can be done during Veg. Obviously, I need to let her dry out more than I have. Her next feeding will be of a bit of Fox Farm nutrients. Update: Last dose of nutrients was this past Friday, so just going slow with them and seeing how she responds. Update. She doing awesome!! She's nearing the end of her 4th week. I have been defoliating here and there, for air and removing those leaves that are shielding other bud sites and shouldn't be tucked due to size.

VirginiaGrower Today is her 5th week b-day! She is doing great. My other 2 plant are showing a Magnesium deficiency, so she also received an increased dose of Cal-mag. She has been getting about 1/4th tsp per week for the past 2 wks, but she is being turned mid-week next week, so it's time to increase her dose anyway in preparation for her turn to flower. She is a 90% on lighting both the main and supplemental lights and increasing her night to 6 hours. Her PPFD and DLI are in check.

VirginiaGrower We are now into our 6th week of Veg. She is doing well since her magnesium deficiency was corrected. Lights were also lowered back down to 80%. Her leaves had yellowed and were droopy. With everything else in check - PH, etc., in addition to the yellowing, the edges of her leaves have started to turn purple. She also dealt with some high temperatures. My original carbon filter (1yr) was changed out which made temperatures come down by about 10 degrees and I was able to lower the fan from 60% down to 10%. Her soil was topped with a bit of DE for the silica and then topped with a mix of perlite and FFOF and watered with the nutrient mix. Update: 1/22 She started her day with a watering with nutrients since we are playing catch-up on nutes and it had been 3 days since her last watering. In addition to the nutrients, she had SuperThrive and the final dose of her regimen of BTI for fungus gnats. Between the BTI, a small bug light, checking the weight of the pot and a moisture meter, I believe we have licked the cronic moisture problem, Yay! She was also topped with rice hulls to keep any hiding fungus gnats at bay, although, I've not seen any for a bit. Lights were adjusted for PPFD/DLI. Update: She is being left alone, except for some Ph'd water today. She's 2 days into flower, so we're ready for any explosion she has to give 😁

VirginiaGrower This is the 2nd week of flower. She is doing well. I had installed a net but being that my tent is a small 3' x 3' with 5-gallon pots, it makes watering very difficult, more so than normally. I have the sidelights turned on. Her first watering this week, only included Myco and Molasses. I am using 2 different product types, both with different Mycorrhizae, which I had checked and play well together, and the molasses to feed them. This watering was meant not only to water the girl, but to feed the soil. She is also being very lightly defoliated here and there so the day 21 defoliation isn't so stressful.

VirginiaGrower We are at day 21 flower, with an impending defoliation tomorrow. She's looking really good, but her canopy really needs to be opened up at this point. Nutrients are being adjusted for the post 3 week flowering stage. We're gearing up for bud packing time :-D She was flushed with Fox Farm Sledgehammer several days ago, followed by a nutrient feeding 3 days later. Today, she had a big day! She had her last big defoliation. Afterward she was treated to water and Recharge :-) Light height was adjusted for PPFD/DLI.

VirginiaGrower She is just starting her 4th week of flower. She is still recovering from last week's ordeals. Flushing salts and defoliation and transitioning nutrients. I PH her water with an Apera PH pen, and I think I need to invest in their EC and PPM pen. I purchased an EC/PPM pen and calibrated it, but it was an off brand, and my runoff and even slurry tests are very contradictory - to the point that I do believe I'd have dead plants right now at those numbers, so I'm not even going to publish those. She will recover during the next week, and I'll keep an eye on how she's doing. This is the 2nd week of not having the Grow Big. I think maybe I should have gone through week 3 of flower with the Grow Big at a reduced dosage. We are also transitioning Cal-mag down slightly each week. Update: Repercussions from flushing are still being seen, but checked her EC, PPM and PH, and we seem to be a little high, but not out of the ballpark. So I think we are headed in the right direction for the next nutrient watering.

VirginiaGrower It's been a long couple of weeks. Since the flush, my nutrients have been really low. Although in Veg, I was doing 1/2 nutes per numerous suggestions for Fox Farm, but starting with flower, I went to full does per the Fox Farm Schedule, and after flush went back to normal feeding, followed by watering the next feeding. So, what issues I did have pre flush, were magnified after the flush and not using the need amount of nutrients. Nutrients have been adjusted for 2 consecutive nutrient feedings, with a watering the next feed - depending on what she is doing. Hopefully I'll give an update in a couple of days with some positive feedback from the girl. Unfortunately, this update is a duplicate post. Right now, I'm in the same place with all 4 of my girls - some handling it better than others. Brighter days ahead :-)

VirginiaGrower Now, in her 7th week of flower, she is looking good. We had some nutrient issues b/c of salts, that have slowly been getting better. All in all, I'm happy with where we have landed. She could have been better, but flowering has been my Achilles heal in past grows. I believe with this grow, we have worked that out, and in addition, we have a new watering pattern which works for the ladies, and me also. She has just started getting some amber on the calyxes, so I'm anticipating about a week to 1 1/2 weeks before harvest.

VirginiaGrower Her time is coming to an end. Late last week, she received a hair cut, removing bunched up inter-canopy leaves and any leaves that were blocking any under developed (light green) buds so they could at least get some color on them. She has just been placed into the dark for the next 48 hours, after which she will have her branches cut and washed. She will then hang to dry on a laundry rack, and we will get to try her out, finally!
I enjoyed this girl immensely. We had issues with salts and phosphorus uptake, hence lockout, but she didn't skip a beat. I have more seeds, so I will definitely grow her again and look forward to doing so. I learned a lot with her and with this whole grow (3 other plants) generally. They all have such different personalities, and what affects one, is sometimes not a problem with another. I can't wait to try her out, and my husband is waiting in the background tapping his foot for his turn.

VirginiaGrower I'm a bit sad to see her grow come to an end, but can't wait to try out her new form, lol! She was put in the dark for 2 days, and then harvested. I will try to update with dry weights if Grow Diaries allows, but worse case, hopefully I can still give an update here.
