Miketama Not the best start for her. Will she recover? In the meantime, I'll plant a backup seed. 🥦

Miketama I’m trying to encourage the development of secondary roots by adding a small amount of mycorrhizae around the stem and topping up with additional substrate🤞.
Wishing everyone a great start to the week.🍀

This girl keeps growing freaky 🌿 Lots of splitting going on — leaves, tops (including the main cola), and branches are all doubling up. She's thrown me off with an unexpected stretch to 60cm, especially considering the slow start she had in the first few weeks.
The downside is she didn't have enough time to develop proper lateral branching with stacked bud sites along the stems — but honestly, with all that weird and wild structure, who knows what she's got planned.
So what's actually going on here? 👇
Polyploid cannabis tends to grow slower in veg, show irregular node spacing and produce abnormally stacked or multiplied flower sites. Which would also explain her unconventional start in the first weeks 👀
Whether it affects potency or terpene expression is still an open question in the literature , but visually? She’s one of a kind. A genuine genetic anomaly that made it all the way to harvest 🔬🌿
Unconventional, but potentially spectacular when those bud sites fill in. 👀
Stay tuned! 🔥
Sticky Broccoli - 73 days from seed to harvest. This particular pheno wasn’t a heavy producer, but I wouldn’t call that a strain trait, just how this one expressed herself. Bud structure is genuinely impressive though: tight, calyx-stacked, barely any trim work needed. Less sticky than the name suggests on this pheno, but the terpene profile is interesting, floral, complex, nothing I could easily label. Not a classic smell at all, just its own thing. Got another broccoli pheno in the tent, curious to see if she’ll tell a different story.

Miketama Harvest day! Cut her down at day 73 from seed. 170g wet off one plant, not a heavy yielder, but this particular pheno just grew that way. Buds are super compact, stacked calyxes, minimal sugar leaves, honestly a pleasure to trim. Smell is floral but complex and hard to pin down, not a typical profile. Can’t wait to see what she’s like after cure. ✂️🌸
@GroloCup, Thanks for stopping by my diary!
I’m definitely feeling much more positive compared to the first few weeks. I hope it doesn’t disappoint in the end!
Good luck to you in the tournament too! 🥦
@Miketama, she has deep green colored leafs I saw a few growers with problems the first 2 weeks but yours is beautiful 🤩 love your quality of growing buddy 💚
Cannabis is creative. You think you've seen it all, and then she comes around the corner and says, “No way, check out what I made—have you ever seen anything like this?”
Du, was hast du geplant?
@Bread_n_Buds, Thanks bro, glad you like it! “Cime di rap” is a pun, in my dialect it means turnip tops but it sounds like rap music 😄🌱
@Mia_BIOTABS, So I should update the info for week 7 where I mention fasciation. It’s hard to tell—I’ve read that stress can also cause these kinds of changes, and she did experience some in the early weeks 😕
