VirginiaGrower She started her germination process in a paper towel soaked in myco. She was then moved to a 5-gallon pot to finish germination. I'm trying to shave off a couple of days as I had inadvertently cut the stem of the previous seedling when cutting of the cotyledons and I have 3 other plants in this grow. 😢 So, this is the same strain as the last, and she popped last night, looking healthy. She is nestled in Happy Frog immediately surrounding her and FFOF in the rest of the pot, which is mixed with DE for the silica, perlite, and myco. She will most likely have a 4 week veg period. Update: As she is growing with 3 other ladies that are ahead of her, I've moved her to the corner of the tent where her PPFD & DLI are in line. Day 2 and her 1st set of true leaves are definitely visible :-D Update: 2 more days before she's a week old and has her 2nd set of true leaves. I'm just giving her water as needed. She is still in her "corner", poor thing, but with my older plants needed more light and I have been able to get a happy medium for both. Hopefully next week she'll be able to take her place among the big girls! (at least start moving out of her corner, lol)

VirginiaGrower She is one day into week 1 veg. She has her 3rd set of leaves coming up😍She hasn't gained in height as much as girth. If she was in a solo cup, her leaves would have surpassed the edges, so at least there is some growth happening somewhere. She is 2 wks behind my other 3 plants, so in an effort to gain time by not having the transplant slow-down, I put her Rapid Rooter directly into the 5 gallon. We'll see how that works out in the end. The last seed of the same genetics that I germinated was a little deformed, and the leaves followed suit. This seed looked like a normal seed, but she's her leaves are starting to get a little wonky. I'm hoping she grows out of this. I'm watering as needed, confirming the need with a moisture meter. Update: Added picture. She's several hours from being a 2 week girl. Her leaves look like they are straightening out, YAY!

VirginiaGrower She has her 5th set of leaves peeking out. Continuing to water as needed, without nutrients. FFOF has supplied everything she has needed. Update: 3 days into her 2nd week, she had a nice 6th node that had developed, which has now been FIMmed. I am just going to LST without bending and see how she does. I'm trying to make quick work of her since I have 3 other plants that are 2 weeks ahead of her. She will be about 4 1/2 weeks old when I flip the lights. So much to do to prepare for the flip, lol. Update: She was FIMmed about 60 hours ago. The lower nodes weren't getting good light, so, I took off the 4 biggest ones today. Already having had their "night" they have already shown new growth. I'm going to let her rest for as long as I can without additional stress.

VirginiaGrower Week 3 starts out with a light defoliation (2 leaves).😁 She is doing very well, and new growth continues. The last huge leaves were removed to let the new growth get direct light as the leaves were shading them. The 2 lowest nodes were pinned to start training. She has a week and 2 days before she goes to a 12-hour light schedule.

VirginiaGrower Today, she started her 4th week of Veg. She is doing well, even though we had some mishaps that affected my 3 older plants that she seemed to breeze through unscathed since I was able to add cal-mag to her regimen before seeing any deficiencies, and we had a light/heat issue that because she wasn't as tall, seemed to not affect her as it did with the other 3 plants. She's sure is a trooper 😊 The plan is to turn her to flower in a couple of days if everything goes well, and all plants are healthy or at the very least mostly recovered from my mishaps. Update: 1/22 We've been busy today, lol. She was watered, again with nutrients and the last of her BTI regimen of a treatment a week for 4 weeks. She was also given Superthrive as tonight she will have her first night of flower, albeit a mid-week turn, but being she is the youngest of my 4 plants this grow, I wanted her to go 30 days before the turn. She was also topped with rice hulls as an added protection from any fungus gnats that might me left, although I'm happy to report I haven't seen any for a bit now. Update: We are now 2 days into flower. Today has been a relaxing day, as she got ph'd water without any nutrients.

VirginiaGrower She is now in flower and doing well. I didn't defoliate as much as I would have liked pre-flower, but she was turned at 4 weeks and because of the LST and Fim she only had about 4 nodes on each stem, so I didn't want to touch those. I am waiting for her Day 21 post Flower and will definitely remove more. She's quite the trooper, and size wise is just behind my other 3 that are 2 weeks older. I've kept the training wires on her in particular as I want her getting light inter-canopy. Last picture features White Durban and her family in the grow tent :-)

VirginiaGrower We are now at the 21-day mark for defoliation, which we will do tomorrow. She has been flushed with Fox Farm Sledgehammer - just some little things I noticed, not any down right issues. She is doing well and looking really good. This is the time when things have really gone south on me as far as nutrients. I have since purchased additional "tools" for soil/water testing, and I have readjusted the nutrients for this growth stage. She woke up with today being her last big defoliation. What a way to wake a girl up, lol. She was then treated with water and Recharge. Tent lights were adjusted for PPFD and DLI.

VirginiaGrower Today, we enter week 4 of Flower. This one is a real trooper, lol. Last week, she was flushed, defoliated, nutrient adjustments, and light adjustments. She just had her 2nd dose of nutrient water since her flush for salts, and although I don't want to give her anymore stress, she seems to be doing just fine. This week will be a vacay week for her. Total relaxation along with nutrient drinks and water brought to her, lmao! Update: She continues her road to recovery from her sledgehammer flush. She is currently between nutrient waterings, so she was just given ph'd water. Her EC/PPM/PH are all in a lower, but good place for her next place.

VirginiaGrower Since the flush, my nutrients have been really low. Although in Veg, I was doing 1/2 nutes per numerous suggestions for Fox Farm, but starting with flower, I went to full does per the Fox Farm Schedule, and after flush went back to normal feeding, followed by watering the next feeding. So, what issues I did have pre flush, were magnified after the flush and not using the need amount of nutrients. Nutrients have been adjusted for 2 consecutive nutrient feedings, with a watering the next feed - depending on what she is doing. Hopefully I'll give an update in a couple of days with some positive feedback from the girl. Unfortunately, this update is a duplicate post. Right now, I'm in the same place with all 4 of my girls - some handling it better than others. The imbalances have hit this one pretty hard. Lots of yellowing/browning leaves and other symptoms. Nutrients have been increased across the board, with an emphasis with Phosphorous.

VirginiaGrower She is now in her 7th week of flowering. Earliest estimated time for harvest is 8 weeks, but I don't know if we'll make it until then. Even with nutrient issues she looks like she has some good buds that developed and I am happy where she has landed but will strive for better next time :-D I learned a lot with this grow about Fox Farm nutrients and their schedule, and I even revamped my watering/feeding. I believe I have found what works for me and more importantly, the girls. At this time, she is on a water only diet to flush out those nutrients. I'm hoping to get 2 waterings with her before harvesting.

Happy Harvest Day!

She was a really nice grow. She started out with dark green leaves, so much that I wondered if she had nitrogen toxicity. But, for the first couple of weeks, she was only in Fox Farm Happy Frog, and then Fox Farm Ocean Forest with no additional nutes until she was 4 wks. old. She was fed the same as nutrients as my others when nutrients were started, and showed deficiencies just like the others, but she still didn't lose her main dark green coloring all the way through. She was trained with FIM, and LST. Her canopy got really thick and bunched up in the area that was FIM'ed (as did the other cohorts in the tent), and in the future, I will probably not use the FIM technique. Even with her nutrient issues - PH was great, but I was in my learning curve with salts and phosphorus during flower So, I was really pleasantly surprised when she yielded 382 grams, wet. She was placed in the dark for the last 48 hours, and then brought out, her stems removed, weighed and then washed and hung on a drying rack. I can't wait to try her :-D
