Lowbuds 🌱 Eternity Growcup 2026 – Sticky Broccoli (Zamnesia)
First post for the Eternity Growcup 2026.
I’ll be running Sticky Broccoli from Zamnesia (free seed) in a 10 L pot with re-amended soil, worm humus and a living soil mix.
Setup:
• 2 × QP-50 (50 W) in a custom layout
• Soil grow, low input
• LST planned
• Green Sensation will be used later in flower at low dose
Germination – Day 0
One seed went into germination today using the paper towel method, lightly misted with H₂O₂, started shortly before the full moon
I’ll update once the taproot shows and the seed goes into soil.
Simple, clean, and steady from here.
Many thanks to Zamnesia Seeds and Plagron for hosting this competition and providing the beans
Midweek Update 04.01 seed sprouted and was transferred in soil

Lowbuds 🌱 Eternity Growcup 2026 – Sticky Broccoli
Week 1 veg
Sticky Broccoli is officially up and out of the soil 🌱
Seed was germinated with the paper towel method (light H₂O₂ mist) and planted straight into the final 10 L pot with re-amended living soil + worm humus.
She’s now under the 2×QP-50 setup, settling in nicely. Nothing fancy planned yet — just letting her establish and build roots.
More to come once she starts moving.

Lowbuds Week 1 veg – reset
Quick update for this week.
The first seed didn’t make it — early on it suffered from cold temps and too much humidity, and the top ended up rotting before it could establish properly.
A new Sticky Broccoli seed was planted directly into soil a few days ago, and she’s now popping her head out of the soil 🌱
Conditions have been adjusted and everything looks on track again.
I’ll be counting this one as the official start and will update as she settles in.
Back on track from here.

Lowbuds 🌱 Eternity Growcup 2026 – Sticky Broccoli
Week 3 (Week 1 actual growth)
Quick clarification update.
The first seed was lost early on due to cold temps and excess humidity, so I restarted with a new Sticky Broccoli seed, planted directly into soil.
This second seed has moved fast and has now caught up to the stage where the first one stopped, so while we’re officially at Week 3 of the diary, the plant itself is at a fresh Week 1 of real vegetative growth.
She’s up, healthy, and settling in well under the 2×QP-50 setup. Conditions are stable now and growth should pick up steadily from here.
From here on, I’ll track actual plant development rather than calendar time.
More updates soon.

Lowbuds Week 4 (real Week 2 veg)
Sticky Broccoli is now up and established 🌱
After losing the first seed early on, the second one was planted directly into soil and has caught up to the same stage. While the diary is at Week 3, this plant itself is at a fresh Week 1 of actual vegetative growth.
She’s settling in nicely in the 10 L pot with re-amended living soil and worm humus, under the 2×QP-50 setup. Stem is standing, leaves look healthy, and growth is starting to pick up.
From here I’ll track her based on plant development rather than calendar time.
More soon.

Week 5 (real Week 3 veg)
Sticky Broccoli is starting to pick up speed 🌱
This is the restarted seed that was planted directly into soil, and she’s now moving into a solid early veg rhythm. While the diary is at Week 5, the plant itself is at about Week 3 of real vegetative growth.
She’s in the 10 L pot with re-amended living soil + worm humus, under the 2×QP-50 setup. Leaves look healthy, new growth is coming in, and structure is beginning to form.
No training yet — just letting her build a bit more before starting LST.
More soon.

Lowbuds 🌱 Eternity Growcup 2026 – Sticky Broccoli
Week 6 (real Week 4 veg)
Sticky Broccoli is now properly in vegetative mode 🌿
Growth has become much more consistent and the plant is starting to develop a nice structure. Leaves look healthy, color is on point, and she’s clearly comfortable in the re-amended living soil.
Still running the 10 L pot with worm humus + living soil mix under the 2×QP-50 setup, keeping things simple and letting the soil biology drive the pace. No major interventions yet — just steady conditions and light watering.
She’s getting close to the stage where LST will begin, likely next update once the stem thickens a bit more.
Everything moving smoothly so far 👌

Lowbuds Week 7 (real week 4)
Sticky Broccoli is now fully settled in the final space and running under two QP-50 lights 🌿
Growth has been very compact so far. Internodes are extremely tight, and the leaves are coming in broad and chunky, showing strong indica characteristics. Structure looks dense, low, and very controlled — exactly what you want at this stage.
Watering remains minimal. The living soil is clearly carrying the workload:
• ~ 1L per week is enough
• Daily light spraying
• No deficiencies, no stress
For now, no training. With spacing this tight, there’s no rush — letting her build a bit more before starting LST.
Overall, very healthy development and a really nice morphology appearing 👌

Lowbuds Week 8
Sticky Broccoli is really starting to settle into her rhythm 🌿
Since adding the second QP-50, development noticeably improved. Growth is compact, bushy, and very symmetrical. The plant is showing strong indica traits — wide leaves, tight structure, and a beautiful dark green color.
Environment and soil biology seem perfectly balanced right now.
Watering is still extremely light:
• ~ 1L per week
• Small amount of enzymes
• Bacillus support
• Daily light spraying
No signs of stress or deficiencies — just steady, healthy growth. She clearly appreciates the extra photons 👌

Lowbuds This week the plant really started to fill out. The structure is becoming very compact with tight internodes and large, wide indica-style leaves, showing strong genetics and a healthy response to the environment.
Since moving her into the final space under two lamps, she clearly enjoys the extra light. The canopy is expanding evenly and the growth tips are stacking nicely. The leaf color is a deep healthy green, which suggests the nutrition level in the soil is well balanced.
Water consumption is still surprisingly low. So far she only drinks about 1 liter per week, which is enough to keep the soil moist without overwatering. Along with watering I’m adding a small amount of enzymes and Bacillus, mainly to support the root zone and maintain good microbial activity.
Overall the plant looks very vigorous and stable. The canopy is getting dense now, and the structure suggests she will stay compact but bushy — a classic indica growth pattern.
Very happy with the development so far. Looking forward to seeing how she continues to stack in the coming weeks.

Lowbuds This week brought the first clear sign that Sticky Broccoli is entering the next phase — the first pistils have finally appeared, about 8 weeks after germination.
Growth overall has been slow and steady, but the plant remains very healthy. The structure is compact with wide indica leaves and a very dark green foliage, showing that the nutrition level in the soil is still sufficient.
Feeding and watering remain minimal:
• Around 1L of water per week
• Very light additions of enzymes and Bacillus
• Letting the soil biology do most of the work
The plant seems to prefer this slower pace, building a dense canopy while keeping a strong color and good leaf posture. Now that pistils have appeared, it will be interesting to see how the stretch phase develops under the dual lamp setup.
Overall everything is stable and progressing naturally. Looking forward to the transition into early flowering 🌿

Lowbuds Sticky Broccoli is now entering week 3 of flowering, and the transition is going really well 🌿
The stretch is still ongoing but starting to slow down, and the plant is now clearly shifting focus into bud development. Bud sites are forming nicely across the canopy, with clusters of pistils stacking at each top.
The earlier LST continues to pay off — the canopy is open, and multiple tops are getting direct light, leading to a more even structure overall.
Current observations:
• Stretch phase slowing down
• Bud sites well established across the plant
• Good light distribution thanks to LST
• Foliage still mostly dark green, with slight natural fade on lower leaves
Feeding and watering remain simple and controlled:
• ~ 1L water per week
• Light enzymes + Bacillus
• Letting the living soil carry the bloom phase
The plant looks healthy and stable, with no signs of stress. From here, it’s all about bud stacking and density over the next weeks 🌸

Lowbuds The stretch is officially settling now, and she’s transitioning fully into flower mode. Structure is looking clean, with multiple bud sites stacking nicely across the canopy. The work from earlier LST is paying off—light is reaching deeper, and everything is staying well-balanced.
Buds are already forming with good spacing, and the plant is keeping that strong, healthy look overall. Still running things relatively light on the feeding side, but this week I’ll start introducing Green Sensation to support flower development and push things a bit further.
So far, she’s been a slow but steady grower, and it’s starting to show its value now—compact structure, controlled stretch, and a solid base for flowering.
Excited to see how she responds over the next couple of weeks as the buds begin to build mass. 🌸

Lowbuds This week comes with a bit of a reality check. The plant has started to yellow quite noticeably, especially on the lower and mid leaves. Most likely looking at either a nutrient deficiency or slight lockout—but based on previous runs, it’s probably the living soil not carrying all the way through the cycle again.
Buds are still developing well, stacking nicely and showing good structure, but the plant is clearly asking for more support now. To address this, I’ve started introducing Green Sensation, hoping it lives up to its name and helps push things through the rest of flower.
On the positive side, she’s now been moved into the main tent under more wattage, taking advantage of some free space. Light levels are higher, and that should help maximize what she can still deliver despite the current fade.
It’s a good reminder that even when things don’t go perfectly, there’s always something to learn and adjust for the next run. Let’s see how she finishes from here. 🌸

Lowbuds Still running into the same issue this week—heavy yellowing across the plant, and it’s clear now that the soil just isn’t carrying her through the full cycle. Most likely depleted rather than a true lockout, especially considering how consistent this has been across runs.
I’ve now started adding Green Sensation, hoping to support bud development and help her finish as strong as possible despite the limitations. Buds are still forming and stacking, but it’s obvious she’s running on reserves more than anything else at this point.
This might be my last experiment with living soil in this setup. It’s been a great learning experience, but realistically, it hasn’t delivered the yield or consistency I’m aiming for. Time to rethink the approach for the next runs.
That said, we ride it out to the end—always something to learn, even in the tougher grows. 🌸.

Lowbuds This week is a bit of a mixed bag. The plant is still heavily yellowing, and at this point it’s clear the living soil didn’t have enough in reserve to carry her properly through flower again. The fade came in early and hit hard — definitely more than just a natural late-flower senescence.
That said… she’s still doing her thing.
🌼 Flower Development
* Buds are stacking nicely now, especially on the main cola
* Secondary tops are filling in better than expected
* Resin production is coming along, with a decent frost starting to show
* Structure stayed compact despite earlier slow growth
🍂 Plant Condition
* Significant nitrogen depletion / possible lockout earlier, now just riding it out
* Lower leaves are almost fully faded, upper canopy still hanging on
* Overall color is more “harvest fade” than “healthy green,” just happening earlier than ideal
Feeding & Adjustments
* Started Green Sensation — hoping it helps push density and resin in these final weeks
* Plant is now under stronger lighting, taking advantage of free space in the tent
* At this stage, it’s less about recovery and more about finishing as strong as possible
🧠 Honest Take
This run pretty much confirms it:
👉 Living soil can work, but in this setup it’s not sustaining the plant deep into flower.
👉 Yield is likely going to be modest again, even though the buds themselves look respectable.
Still, not a loss — more like a data run. You can already see that with proper feeding earlier on, this structure could’ve supported a much heavier finish.
🔜 Next Week
* Focus on bud swell and ripening
* Monitor trichomes closely
* Keep feeding light but consistent
* Let her fade out naturally from here
Even with the yellowing, she’s proving one thing:
👉 Genetics + structure are there — just need the right fuel next time.

Lowbuds We’ve officially entered the final week – rinse phase is on.
No more nutrients from here, just clean water and letting the plant finish on its own reserves.
🌼 Flower Status
* Buds are fully formed and dense, especially on the main cola
* Nice stacking across the plant despite the earlier setbacks
* Trichomes are coming in cloudy with some early amber starting to show
* Aroma is stronger now, deeper and more “finished”
🍂 Fade & Plant Condition
* The plant is now fully faded, with strong yellowing across almost all fan leaves
* At this stage, it’s expected — she’s consuming everything she has left
* Leaves are thinning out, some dying off completely
* Classic end-of-life look, just reached a bit earlier this run
💧 Flush Strategy
* Plain water only
* Letting runoff clear out any remaining nutrients
* Keeping conditions stable to avoid stressing her at the finish line
🧠 Final Thoughts Before Harvest
This run wasn’t about perfect conditions — and it shows — but it still brought some solid insights:
* Living soil again ran out of steam too early in this setup
* Early fade impacted overall yield potential
* BUT: bud quality and structure still came through better than expected
👉 It’s one of those grows where you don’t hit max yield, but you learn exactly what to fix next round
🔪 What’s Next
* Watching trichomes daily now
* Likely harvest within the next few days depending on amber ratio
* Then dry, cure… and proper final verdict
At this point, it’s all about letting her finish clean and express what she can.
Not the heaviest run — but definitely not an empty one either 🌿

Lowbuds Final Week – Chop Coming in the Next Days 🌿
This is the last update before harvest.
She’s basically at the finish line now. Nothing much is moving anymore — calyx swell has mostly stopped, pistils have finished pulling back, and the plant is fully fading out. At this point she’s just using up what’s left in the tank.
Flower status
* Buds ended up denser than I expected, especially considering the early fade
* Main cola stacked nicely and the side branches filled out better than it first looked
* Good frost coverage and a nice late purple touch on some tops
Plant condition
* Heavy yellowing all over now, but that was expected after the soil ran out of steam early
* She’s clearly at the end of her cycle — leaves are fading fast and there’s no real new movement anymore
* Only thing trying to keep moving right now is the spider mites, so harvest won’t wait much longer
Final thoughts
This run pretty much confirmed what I needed to know.
The living soil didn’t carry the plant all the way through flower again, and that definitely capped the yield. It won’t be a heavy harvest, but the buds themselves actually came out respectable — solid structure, decent resin, and better quality than the yellow canopy suggests.
Probably my last living soil experiment for a while. Good learning run, useful data, but next round I want more control through late flower.
Plan is to cut in the next few days.
Now it’s all about drying clean and seeing what the jars say after cure.
Sticky Broccoli was relatively easy to grow. There was some issues on my side with the living soil balance but Green Sensation saved things a little. Total outcome is just short of 30gr, small popcorn side buds, dense and frosty with light purple hues. First smoke is smooth and sweet with something floral in the background, old school flavor.

Lowbuds Final harvest update — she’s down.
Chopped her today.
By the end the plant was completely spent — heavy fade, yellow leaves everywhere, and pretty clear the living soil had given everything it had. It didn’t carry all the way to the finish, but she still made it over the line.
Not the biggest yielder, which was expected after the late-flower hunger, but there are more solid buds on her than I first thought. The main cola finished nicely, and the side branches stacked a decent number of frosty little nuggets.
This run was a useful lesson. The genetics still pushed through, but the soil definitely ran out of gas before harvest. For the next round I’ll probably either amend harder, top-dress earlier, or move away from this living soil setup altogether.
Now it’s on to drying. Curious to see what the final smoke says once she’s cured.
