CannaArchive Light Schedule: 24/0 (LED, low intensity for seedlings) Environment: Temperature: ~22–24 Β°C Humidity: initially high (around 70–85% RH), later reduced Watering / Feeding: Only very light watering was done during week 1 to keep the medium slightly moist. No nutrients were used. A small amount of CalMag was added after transplanting. Observations: All three seeds germinated successfully and entered the seedling stage. However, early development showed mixed results. One seedling looks healthy and stable so far. One seedling is still questionable and shows weak development. The third seedling is declining and may not recover. Issues observed include weak stems, slow growth, and yellowing cotyledons on some plants. Reflection / Learning: In hindsight, the combination of new coco tabs and high humidity for too long may have caused early stress. Notes: This week was mainly about observation and damage control. The focus moving forward will be on improving early seedling conditions and avoiding the same mistakes in future starts.

CannaArchive Environment: Seedlings were kept in a warm and stable environment with gentle airflow. Light intensity was kept low to moderate to avoid stress during the early seedling stage.🌀️ Watering: Watering was done very cautiously. The medium was only lightly moistened when needed, making sure it never stayed too wet. No nutrients were added during this week.πŸ’§ Observations: Germination itself was successful, but Week 1 turned out to be more challenging than expected. Out of three seedlings, two plants were lost during the seedling stage.❌🌱 They showed very weak early development, limited root growth, and instability shortly after emerging from the soil. Unfortunately, both seedlings collapsed and could not recover. The remaining plant stayed alive and showed better stability, although overall growth is still slower than expected for this stage 🀞🌱. Notes: This week was mainly about observation and learning. It became clear how critical the very early seedling phase is. The issues seem to be related to early root development rather than feeding or light stress. The germination process will be simplified in future runs to reduce stress and improve consistency going forward πŸ’ͺ🌿.

CannaArchive Growth Stage: Early Vegetative Environment: Temperature: ~23 Β°C Humidity: ~65 % RH Light cycle: 20/4 Light intensity: ~250–300 PPFD Watering / Feeding: The plant was grown in a 1 L pot and watered carefully with around 300 ml per watering, depending on pot weight. Only water + CalMag (Advanced Nutrients) was used during this week. No base nutrients were added. Observations: During Week 2, the Jelly Donutz was moved into the grow tent, which helped the plant recover very well from the difficult seedling stage. Growth stabilized quickly, and the plant continued its development in a much more normal and healthy way. Leaf color looks healthy, structure improved noticeably, and overall vigor increased throughout the week. Even though temperatures were slightly cooler, the plant adapted well and showed no further signs of early stress. Training / Work Done: No training was applied. The focus was fully on recovery and establishing stable vegetative growth. Notes: Week 2 was an important recovery phase. With stable conditions and gentle feeding, the plant built a solid foundation for stronger vegetative growth in the following weeks.

CannaArchive Environment: 140 Γ— 70 tent Temperature: ~25 Β°C Humidity: ~60 % RH Light cycle: 18/6 Light intensity: ~350 PPFD IR light active 20 minutes before lights off and during lights on. β˜€οΈ Medium/Pot Size At the beginning of the week, the plant was moved into its 20L final pot. The soil was prepared with BioBizz Light Mix (peat-free), Startrex, Silicium Flash, 4 BioTabs, and Mycorrhiza applied directly into the planting hole. 🌱 Watering / Feeding: Watered every 2–3 days, based on pot weight, using RO water + CalMag. πŸ’§ No additional nutrients were given this week. Observations: Due to strong and healthy development, the decision was made early in the week to transplant into the final container. The move went smoothly, and the plant continued growing without visible stress. πŸ™‚ Structure was slightly stretched, but overall growth looked vigorous and stable. The plant adapted well to the new environment and showed steady vegetative progress. Notes: Week 3 built a strong foundation. With the final pot, improved environment, and stable feeding, Jelly Donutz is now set up for more aggressive vegetative growth and upcoming training. 🌿πŸ’ͺ

CannaArchive Growth Stage: Vegetative Environment: 140 Γ— 70 tent Temperature: ~24.5–25 Β°C Humidity: ~60 % RH Light cycle: 18/6 Light intensity: ~400 PPFD. β˜€οΈ Watering / Feeding: Watered every 2–3 days, based on pot weight, with approx. 1.5 L per watering using RO water + CalMag. πŸ’§ Additionally, the plant received 1x Startrex during this week. Observations: Growth remained steady and healthy. The plant still has a slightly thin structure, but overall looks vigorous. 🌿 Leaf color is normal green, briefly a bit lighter after topping, but quickly returned to a healthy tone. At the end of the week, the plant was topped above the 4th node, aiming to keep 6 main branches. βœ‚οΈ The topping was handled very well, no visible stress reaction, and growth continued almost immediately. πŸ™‚ Structure is now much more even compared to the earlier stretch. Notes: Week 4 was very positive. The plant transitioned from vertical growth into structural development smoothly. With topping completed successfully, the focus now shifts to recovery and branch development in Week 5. 🌱πŸ’ͺ

CannaArchive This week was all about recovery momentum and structure building.🌿 The plant remained in vegetative stage and was allowed to push naturally after the topping in Week 4. β€’ 6 main branches established.πŸ’ͺ β€’ 4 developed nodes β€’ Height ~15 cm β€’ Clearly bushy structure No additional training was done this week to allow full energy allocation into root expansion and lateral growth. The canopy is starting to even out nicely. Light intensity increased to ~600 PPFD under 18/6.β˜€οΈ IR remains active and will continue throughout the grow. Leaves are visibly praying, indicating strong light response and healthy transpiration. Watering was increased to 2L per session, twice this week.πŸ’§ Slight upward trend in water demand observed. Feeding consisted of RO water + CalMag, with 1 application of Greenhouse Bio Enhance during the week. β€’ Temps: 25Β°C day / 18–19Β°C night 🌑️ β€’ RH: 60–62% Leaf color is deep healthy green.πŸ’š New growth looks vigorous. Stem is still slightly on the thinner side but strengthening gradually. Overall the plant looks stable, balanced and ready to accelerate further in veg. Strong structural week with steady vegetative expansion.😊

What is the purpose of these strange covers? Don't they prevent the plant from breathing? Asking for a Friend πŸ˜†
CannaArchive
CannaArchive commented6d ago
@Kushycat, Their purpose is to reduce evaporation, keep moisture in the substrate, protect the soil surface, The felt/vlies material is breathable and water-permeable, so it doesn’t suffocate the plant or block airflow, air still reaches the root zone normally. got it frome the site I purchased them, hope i could help. 😊

@CannaArchive, Ah, okay, I see. That's right, the water runs out there too, so of course it has to be possible to transport it in the other direction as well. I hadn't thought of that.
