Sticky Broccoli 🥦 - EGC 2026

Germanator A tiny second one managed to come through! I placed them both in the same bucket and didn't do much with them this week. Let them take their time to settle and grow their roots into the nutrients solution. They were pretty slow for the first could of days but picked up some momentum right now. Roots look fine and I expect some explosive growth in the coming week.

Germanator After a really chill start, the two ladys picked up an incredible speed towards the end of this week. I expect some explosive growth until next Wednesday when I'll post the next update so stay tuned. I'm currently unsure what to do with the little one. Maybe I'll discard her in favor of giving the other one more room. What do y'all think about that?

Germanator I decided to get rid of the smaller one as she developed significantly smaller vegetation compared to the other one and I wanted to give the latter more room. I also decided to try fimming. The roots start to take a brownish color but I blame it on the coloring of T.A.'s nutrients. Switched to veg nurture recipe as well. As I hoped last week, she truly exploded and doesn't seem like slowing down anytime soon. Flowering is approaching in a week or two. Depends on the recovery time needed.

Germanator This week's been characterized by some explosive vegetative growth. She nearly doubled her leave mass and grew massive branches everywhere as well as a whole lot of root mass. I consider leaving her another week in veg state and switching to 12/12 next Wednesday. I had some minor issues with spots on the leaves which I attribute to a little CalMag deficit so I started giving her a little of that as well.

Germanator This has been a pretty unspectacular week. Although I tried my best when FIMming, somehow she managed to continue growing the main stem so I decided to top her once again. This morning I also decided to clean up a little resulting in rather chaotic pictures for this week but I'm sure that'll clean up pretty soon. Switched to 12/12 on Saturday so I'm expecting to see some flowers soon as well.

Germanator Finally there's some flowers showing up. 🎉 I changed the nutrients to the flowering mixture while reducing the concentration at the same time. She likes that amount of nutrients as well, the EC value didn't drift at all, only some minor issues with a drifting pH but that is to be stabilized easily. Bud sites are showing up everywhere and she starts smelling nicely. One more week and I'll begin adding the plagron booster. Let's see how that changes anything.

Germanator I'm currently struggling a lot with a strongly drifting pH value. As soon as I change the nutrient solution, it rapidly drops. After some rounds of soda it will stabilize eventually but it really bothers me. I'm going to switch to plain tap water next and see if that'll work out better. The plant is not impressed however, which is why I'm willing to experiment a little. I misread the dosing recommendation for the Green Sensation so I will start adding that in two weeks instead of now. The smell in the tent is really nice so far.

Germanator Changed my water mix to stabilize the pH value even more and it's working really well. She develops nicely without needing too much attention. Copes really well with anything you throw at her. Buds begin to look nice. Looking forward trying her when she's done.

Germanator Started adding the Plagron booster to the nutrients mix and oh boy does that add a kick to the bud growth already. Reduced the other components to stay in a reasonable EC range but that works out perfectly fine so far. Removed the remaining lower branches to prepare her for fat, sticky main bud production.

Germanator She's going on her own now. There's not much new foliage to get rid of and she mainly grows vertically now. The smell is beautiful, as are the continuously swelling bud sites. Switched to another nutrient solution as the Terra Aquatica ran out and I wanted to try this one as well. So far nothing extraordinary.

Germanator She's looking really nice and smells a lot. I have to fight against a dropping pH again but it stays manageable. That's the reason for the high EC value. Stretch seems to be over so now comes the ripening and easy part.

Germanator After another nutrient solution change, the EC value dropped a little but I'm sure that I can reduce it even more with the next change. She likely finished the stretch and the top buds start to swell a lot. I think she'll deliver a lot of yield even though I didn't have too much space for her.

Germanator I think she's on the way to finishing. Doesn't consume too much water and the nutrients concentration stays basically constant. Looks and smells awesome. I suppose now come the two or three weeks of swelling buds before she's finally ready for harvest.

Germanator She's in her last couple of days. Looks really tasty and smells super nice. Some of the trichomes in the flowers are already beginning to turn amber. I'll give her around one or maybe another half of a week before harvest.

Germanator Started flushing with pure RO water five days ago but she won't show any signs of under nurturing. Maybe I gave her a little much over the last weeks so that she built up a strong reservoir. Anyway, this day next week she won't be living anymore and I really hope I can take some nice bud photos in time for the contest.

Germanator Harvested roughly a week after the last update. The branches were pretty weak so I had to cut off some before I was able to completely get her out of the tent for removing the fan leaves. Result is not as I would have expected. The buds are all really slim u fortunately. Smell is nice and I'm still looking forward to the smoke test.
