all_about_420 The germination of the second permanent marker from @TRAPHOUSE_GENETICS was impressively fast. After less than three days, the cotyledon was clearly visible, after which the seedling was directly transferred to a coconut coir pot. After about five days in total, the plant proudly presented its first fully developed leaf pair, showing a great start to the first week.

The branches were tied down flat and evenly with soft ties to perfectly open the canopy and maximize light yield. The Traphouse Genetics responds extremely well to the training: The foliage visibly gains strength thanks to the new nutrients, turns a richer green again, and displays a wonderfully balanced, bushy shape.

Before defoliating and lollipopping, the plant had proudly reached 71 cm, which was simply too tall due to the ongoing lack of space in the tent. Through targeted cutting and the LST reset, it was consistently pruned back to 55 cm and completely cleared in the lower area. This massive measure takes the vertical pressure off the Traphouse Genetics and ensures that the remaining structure is optimally ventilated and illuminated, perfectly bridging the remaining waiting time.

The stretch has shot some branches up enormously. If this genetics from Traphouse Genetics behaves similarly to the first Permanent Marker, I don’t expect extremely fat, heavy single buds at the end, but rather a variety of very long, thinner flower strands. Since the shoots already look quite long and graceful, I strongly assume that we will definitely need additional supports or yo-yos later in the flowering stage to carry the weight of the mass. Currently, the plant is fully focused on resin production, and the trichome formation is visibly increasing day by day.

While the first part primarily focuses on the RS11, the second section excellently showcases the development of this lady. However, the footage also reveals the anticipated weak point. The long, delicate flower stems are starting to lean under the increasing weight of the flowering and are already noticeably leaning against the tent wall. Unfortunately, the babysitter didn't intervene in this regard, so stabilizing the Traphouse Genetics is now at the top of my to-do list for my return. The resin and flower production, however, continues to run at full speed.

all_about_420 Just back from vacation, it was time to provide first aid in the tent. As already feared, the long, slender stems couldn't withstand the massive flower growth of the last few days. Right after I got home, I had to secure the plant immediately with a central plant stake and plant hangers to prevent it from toppling over. Once upright, the genetics from Traphouse Genetics really show what they're made of. The flower clusters are fantastically arranged, and the trichome formation is completely escalating. A frosty layer of resin now covers the compact buds and is creeping deep into the sugar leaves. Despite the vacation rush, the foundation is absolutely vital and focused on the final ripening, thanks to Advanced Nutrients.

Final Report: Permanent Marker #2 (Traphouse Genetics) ​Vegetative Phase The vegetative phase lasted a very long time this run, totaling around four months. During this extensive growth period, the plant was intensively manipulated through topping and Low Stress Training (LST) to develop an even structure and a stable foundation. The main stem became extremely massive and woody due to the long veg time. ​Flowering Phase ​With the switch to the Advanced Nutrients schedule right on time for the start of flowering, an extremely intense stretch began. The plant shot up too much for my taste in the first weeks of flowering, resulting in very long and graceful shoots. On day 21, a thorough lollipopping followed to direct the energy to the upper levels. By the middle of the flowering phase, the flower clusters became so long that they threatened to topple under their own weight and eventually had to be stabilized with a central plant stake and hanging ropes. Towards the end, a beautiful autumn fade set in. ​Overall Conclusion & Phenotype Comparison The direct comparison between the first Permanent Marker #1 and this second run (Permanent Marker #2) provides an extremely interesting test result regarding the phenotype variance of this genetics from Traphouse Genetics: ​Growth Behavior & Stretch: While the first run remained more compact, this phenotype showed a significantly more pronounced and, for me, too strong stretch during the flowering phase, making the use of mechanical supports unavoidable. ​Bud Structure & Density: The bud structure of Permanent Marker #2 is noticeably more graceful compared to the first version. The buds did not become thick and firm enough in the end but rather present themselves as many elongated single flowers. ​Trichome Coverage: The first plant is ahead in terms of resin coverage as well. While Permanent Marker #2 has a nice layer of resin, the trichome coverage is not quite as extreme and intense in direct comparison. ​Aroma & Terpenes: This is where this run has a clear advantage. The aroma of Permanent Marker #2 is significantly more pronounced, intense, and distinctive, leaning towards the typical, namesake Permanent Marker profile compared to the first time. ​Overall, a fascinating run that, despite the drawbacks in bud firmness, impresses with an absolutely dominant and piercing terpene profile.
