MGGrowRoom Kicking off my entry in the Eternity Grow Cup 2026, hosted by Zamnesia and Plagron, with Zamnesia's Sticky Broccoli strain.
Germination and Planting:
Started with a single seed soaked in a cup of water for 24 hours to initiate germination. The planting medium is a well-seasoned soil mix I've recycled through 5-6 previous cycles, aiming to emulate a living soil environment. It's amended with organic matter to foster microbial activity, and there might even be a few earthworms in the mix contributing to natural aeration and nutrient cycling. Planted directly into the prepared pot, and the seedling emerged 3-4 days later—solid 100% germination rate so far.
Current Status:
The seedling has reached about 1cm in height, showing healthy initial growth with no signs of stress. Cotyledons are unfurling nicely, and I'm monitoring closely for the first true leaves.
Environmental Conditions:
Running everything in a Mars Hydro tent with their integrated air system and LED lights for consistent performance. Nighttime temps are holding steady at around 24°C, climbing to 27°C during the day. On sunnier days outside, we've seen peaks up to 28°C, but the setup handles it without issue. Humidity levels are averaging 50-55%, with a low of 48% observed—right in the sweet spot for early veg to prevent damping off while encouraging root development.Excited to see how this Sticky Broccoli progresses under these conditions.
