Very easy to grow I did have some bud rot at the end but that was more down to my fault of poor air movement. All in all it’s great strain to grow.

Ok tbh I had an easy grow till the end when my fan in the room broke but due to it being at the back I couldn’t get to it. So ended with a little bud rot that I had to cut out. I would grow this strain again it’s a proper smelly bud and a dam fine mellow smoke. I learned more this grow and hope to carry that over to the next grow.

One of my plants kind of has this trait, it’s weird. If it was tobacco mosaic virus it can spread from plant to plant but others seem fine, it’s probably leaf variegation who’s is a rare mutation due to pigment masking another pigment. Kinda of like albino I guess. I don’t think it does anything to yield she’ll be alright but if it spread into the other then your looking at a virus so keep an eye on thing. That being said she should be good to go. Happy growing and here is a link. https://www.maximumyield.com/definition/133/variegation

Yo mate hope you are good like the setup. You can tell me to piss off and keep my nose out but I would say that you might b overwatering. I ran a 8 pot Wilma with 5” grow Dan cubes and found that until they are 2-3 weeks old they only need a drink once every few days. Get a moisture meter(cheap) and this will help a lot. Less is more with hydro. The green algae appearing on top of the Rockwool is a symptom of overwatering as is slow growth and drooping leaves. Hope that help. 👍

@Greymangenetics, as always i never think a friendly helping hand is anything but good. thank you for your time in commenting. i only started giving them water today, until now i just been spraying them every morning with ph 5.8 water. the timer for feed cycle is every 4 hours they come on for 30 mins this runs from 6 am till 12 midnight. do you think i should go every 6 hours instead of every 4?

Hey man nice to see that water chiller. Looks like you made a good construction for it. Does that thing put out a lot of heat?
RastaMouse
RastaMouse
@BillMonroe, I will take a look at it mate. Thx for the tip 👍

@RastaMouse, nice, it should do you good! I think hydroponics becomes even more attractive once you are not at risk of getting pythium. Ever considered using something like hydroguard? It contains bacillus amyloliquefaciens. Bacillus + chiller RDWC is something that I'd maybe like to switch to in the future

@BillMonroe, it does put out a little but I cut a vent out the back and all the heat is chucked out of the unit. It draws air in the front. Well happy with it. Not cheap but if the yield is good and quality then it pays for it self in the long run.

Yo dude hope your good. Just a heads up. That brown patch is potentially either mature bud rot (grey mould) or Pythium. Which affects the root system. Careful smoking fungal spores. If you do see mould just trim off the section that is affected as if h don’t it will spread. Even when cut down. Also I always trim my cheese nugs straight off the stems as bud rot usually starts between the bud and the stalk. Hope that helps mate. 👍

@Greymangenetics, yeh thanks bro I googled it and got that it’s likely bud rot due to my fan being so low down. I have cut out the effected area an so far no new areas shown up. Totally gutted she was going so well and so close to finished. My tank is water cooled to 19 so prob not pitherin. Plus ph is stable. Thank you for the heads up though bro 👍😊

Hi Ganjaman, looking good. just one question I notice a bit of brown on the tips of a couple of leaves is that okay? Only asking in case it happens to me and I shouldn't be over concerned.👍 Kitkat

@kitkat332986, normaly a sign of nutri burn if on many leafs deff a sign. but i watch my ppm every morning and add ph'ed water to keep my ppm in the 900 ish range atm, in a couple weeks it will climb to around 1200 ish. i m not a pro but from what i been studdying its all about listening to the plant. i noticed a couple burned tips but not on many leafs but still dropped the ppm by 100 to be safe and no new burned tips since, all our ladys like different lvls they will tell you what they need and what lvls. atm having massive problems with water temp hitting 27c so had to go out and get a hialea hc 100a water chiller to get that temp back down to 20c. till it shows i m just chucking frozen bottles of watter in the res to keep the temp down best i can. ok i went of on a tangent there sorry lol

Hey how are you liking the Wilma system? I see that you started out with soil - peat I guess, some light or pro mix. Do you feel that this is better? Do you need to take efforts to cool the water, considering you're in summer? (I am guessing by the temperatures) edit: Oh, your comment in this week already answered my second question haha. The ease of growing healthy plants with peat mixes is keeping me from trying something else
RastaMouse
RastaMouse
@BillMonroe, I love the Wilma. I didn’t get on with soil, dn why. I did love the flavour from soul grow though. There are pros and cons to all I supose. Hydro gives bigger yields and stronger smoke but flavour is lower. Plus hydro is quicker to grow and easyer t flush. I m personally a hydro fan for sure 🤣

By they way I have a picture in week 9 of my mother plant with this, the leaf is split right down the middle light green to dark green, it’s the pineapple chunk and she is the fastest growing of all 4!
RastaMouse
RastaMouse
@Hellishjam, thx mate I keep an eye on her make sure it don’t spread hopefully it’s not virus just odd growth.

Good to hear mate.👍👍 I would honestly water them for a half hour timer slot once a day. Also Allow a minimum of 4 hours from when you water to when you have lights off period. You do not want water sat around with the lights off. Causes all sorts of problems. Back to the watering quickly ... as a test get a unused Rockwool cube same size. Soak it in water (same as 30 min feed) and leave in the grow space with plants. You can then monitor its moisture content over 24 hours. My prediction is that if you soaked the cube it would be wet for between 24-48 hours in normal conditions. Therefore you should not be watering anymore than that. It’s a critical stage for plants and in my opinion is the most important. Give it a shot. Cheers

@Greymangenetics, wicked i will change the timer now so they only get feed once a day. will keep that up for a week or 2 then start upping it in slower increments making sure the last feed is atleast 4 hours before there bed time. thank you so much for your advice much appreciated.

Hi Ganjaman, I'm going to follow this diary as Ive never seen a hydroponic grow from the start and very interested to see how its done. I'm a soil grower for ease but growing now fascinates me. Hope everything goes well and the ladies are strong healthy and give a big yield 👍
