wolfvb Week 1: Seedling City – The Jelly Sets! 🍭 General Vibes: After a successful germination, the Mellow Jelly has officially broken the surface! It’s an exciting moment to see that first set of serrated leaves stretching toward the light. The genetics (Rainbow Flakes x Sunset Sherbet) are already showing promise with a sturdy little stem. Right now, I’m focused on keeping the environment stable to ensure she doesn't stretch too much or get overwhelmed. Environment & Setup: Light: I have my Agyrochy 100W LED dimmed to about 80% power, sitting roughly 60cm (24 inches) above the seedling to prevent light burn while giving her enough energy to grow. Schedule: Keeping it at a steady 18/6 cycle. Humidity: Aiming high! Keeping it between 70-75% to help the young leaves absorb moisture while the roots are still small. Temp: Hovering around 24-26°C (75-79°F). Feeding & Watering: Water: Only using pH-adjusted water (aiming for 6.0 - 6.5 if in soil/mix). Method: Watering in a small circle around the base of the plant to encourage the roots to reach outward. Being very careful not to overwater at this stage, the roots need oxygen just as much as water. Nutrients: None yet. She’s living off the energy in the seed and the light nutrients in the substrate. I might add a tiny bit of Root-Juice later in the week if she looks ready. Observations: The "Mellow" vibes are definitely present. She’s growing at a nice, steady pace. No signs of damping off or "helmet head" (stuck seed shell). I’m keeping the Tuya Smart controller dialed in to make sure the VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) stays in the sweet spot for seedlings. Goals for next week: Watch for the second set of true leaves. Monitor height to ensure no "legginess" (stretching). Maintain that high humidity!

wolfvb Week 2: Standing Tall & Pushing Leaves! 🌱🍭 General Vibes: We are officially into Week 2 and the Mellow Jelly is showing some real character! The jelly is definitely setting nicely. She stretched just a little bit reaching for the light during the first few days, so I gave her a little help with a gentle wire support to keep her standing straight and strong. Nothing to worry about, just typical seedling behavior as she establishes her root zone. Environment & Setup: Light: Still running the Agyrochy 100W LED at about 80% power. Because of the slight stretch, I'm keeping a very close eye on the distance to give her enough energy without causing light burn. Keeping it at a steady 18/6 cycle. Temp & Humidity: Keeping the environment super stable for the baby. Temps are hovering right around 24-25°C and humidity is staying high around 70%. My Tuya Smart controller is doing its job keeping that VPD right in the sweet spot for early veg! Feeding & Watering: Water: Still keeping it very simple. Giving her pH-adjusted water (dialed in around 5.8 - 6.0 for the coco mix). I am watering lightly in a small circle around the base to encourage those roots to reach outward and expand. Nutrients: Not pushing anything heavy yet. She is doing perfectly fine living off the light nutrients in the substrate. I might introduce a very light dose of root stimulator soon, but for now, less is more. Observations: As you can see in the pics, her first set of true serrated leaves are fully out and holding a beautiful, healthy green color! The next set of leaves is already starting to push through the center. The wire support is doing its job perfectly, and if you look closely at the stem, you can see the little trichome fuzzies forming as it begins to thicken up. The leaves are looking super healthy with perfect color, and you can see the new nodes developing nicely at the top. Setup & Feeding: Still running her under the 100W Agyrochy LED and she seems to be loving the current DLI/PPFD. Continuing with the BioBizz feeding schedule, and she's responding really well no signs of burn or deficiencies at all. Notes: I placed a small wire guide just to keep the main stem supported and growing exactly how I want it. The root system must be building up a great foundation right now. She has been absolutely loving her final pot after last week's transplant. She is cruising through the vegetative stage and building a great foundation, so I decided it was the perfect time to top her! ✂️ Environment & Setup: Light: Still running her under the 100W Agyrochy LED. She seems to be loving the current DLI/PPFD on our steady 18/6 cycle. Temp & Humidity: The Tuya Smart controller is doing its job perfectly, keeping that VPD right in the sweet spot for mid-veg. Feeding & Watering: Water: Giving her pH-adjusted water, dialed in around 5.8 - 6.0 for the coco mix. I'm making sure to water enough to encourage those roots to expand into her new home. Nutrients: She is living her best life in that mix of Plagron cocos premium, BioBizz leftovers, and Monster Bud Mix. The leaves are holding a beautiful, healthy dark green color with absolutely zero signs of burn or deficiencies. Observations: As you can see in the pics, I went ahead and topped her this week to break that apical dominance and encourage those lateral branches to catch up. She took the topping like an absolute champ! The new nodes developing right below the cut are already pushing leaves and reaching straight up for the light. The main fan leaves are getting huge, the stem is thickening up nicely, and the "Mellow" vibes are definitely strong. The jelly is really starting to set! We are officially in Week 5, and this time we're shining the spotlight on the Zamnesia Mellow Jelly! 🚀 ​As you can see from the pictures, she is still cruising through the vegetative stage, and we have officially initiated some heavy training to get her canopy dialed in early. ​🌿 Development & Structure: It was time to get aggressive with the Low Stress Training (LST)! I've used thick garden wire to pin the main stalk completely sideways across the medium. The goal here is to break that apical dominance and let all those lower nodes catch up to the top. You can already see the side branches turning their heads upwards toward the light, getting ready to form multiple main colas. She is staying low, bushy, and spreading out beautifully across the fabric pot. Update: 8.4.26 One of the nodes broke last time I tried to save it but it did work and had to remove it let's see how this wanky top will effect the shape and growth. ​💧 Nutrient & Water Log: She just received a fresh drink and a nice foliar spray (you can still see the water droplets beading up on the leaves 💦). The overall color is a nice, rich dark green. I am noticing some prominent red/purple striping on the stems of those larger fan leaves, which I'll keep an eye on, but the new growth popping up from the middle looks incredibly bright, lime-green, and healthy. ​⛺ Environment & Health: She is handling the extreme bend of the LST like an absolute champion. No snapped branches, just a little bit of expected stress as she adjusts to her new horizontal life. The environment in the tent is perfectly dialed in, and she’s sitting comfortably alongside her tent-mates. wolfvb 🍬 Week 6: Stretching & Training "Mellow Jelly" Strain: Mellow Jelly (Zamnesia Seeds x Positronics) Stage: Vegetative Light Cycle: 18/6 📝 The Update It’s a double Week 6 update! While the Cookies is busy spiraling, the Melon Jelly is showing off some seriously impressive structure. She’s a bit more "leafy" and robust, filling out her corner of the Agyrochy tent with deep green, healthy fan leaves. 🕸️ Aggressive LST (Low-Stress Training) I’m really leaning into the training with this girl to ensure a flat canopy. The "Spider" Technique: If you look at the photos, you can see I’ve used a lot of white soft-ties to pin down almost every major branch. It looks like a little web under there! Breaking Dominance: By pulling the outer branches down and away from the center, the inner nodes are finally getting the light they need to catch up. Flexibility: The stems on this Mellow Jelly are surprisingly sturdy but still pliable enough for this level of manipulation. 🌿 Observation & Health Canopy Density: She’s much bushier than her tent-mates. I’ve had to do some light leaf tucking to make sure the lower growth doesn't get shaded out. Leaf Color: The leaves are a slightly darker, richer green than the Cookies, indicating she’s processing her nitrogen like a pro. Root Power: She’s drinking fast! The fabric pot is drying out perfectly between feedings, which tells me the root system is exploding underneath that mulch. 🍽️ Feeding Strategy Sticking to the Plagron schedule. I’m keeping the nutrients balanced to support all this new lateral growth I’m forcing. No signs of stress or burn yet she’s taking everything I throw at her. wolfvb Training Time! LST Clips & Explosive Growth 🚀 What's up, GrowDiaries fam! 💚 Welcome to Week 7! The vegetative stage is in full swing, and this girl is showing some serious vigor. Low Stress Training (LST) in Action 📎 As you can see in the photos, this week was all about canopy management! I've officially snapped on the green LST clips to start bending those branches outward. She is handling the training like an absolute champion. Opening up the center of the plant is already allowing so much more light to penetrate down to those lower nodes, and the new growth tips are already turning upward to face the LEDs. Lush Leaves & Cool Stems 🌿 Her health is absolutely dialed in right now. The fan leaves are getting massive with a beautiful, deep, lush green color a great sign that she is loving her nutrient schedule. You might also notice some really cool reddish-purple coloring on the main stems and petioles. It's creating a gorgeous contrast with the dark green foliage! Looking Ahead 👀 The goal for the next few weeks is to keep adjusting these clips and maybe do some light defoliation if she gets too crowded. Just like her tent-mate, she has been absolutely exploding with vegetative growth and is getting perfectly primed for the upcoming light flip. Measuring Up & Canopy Growth 📏🌿 I broke out the folding ruler for this update! As you can see in the first photo, she is sitting right around the 48-49cm mark. For a plant that has been tied down this heavily, that is some serious height and vigor! The foliage is incredibly dense, with deep, lush green fan leaves that have that beautiful, healthy crinkly texture. Heavy Duty LST 📎💪 Take a look at the undercarriage shots! The training regimen down there is intense. I am using a mix of thick green garden wire, standard tie-downs, and LST clips to pull those branches horizontally and open up the center. Her stems are thickening up into absolute tree trunks to support the bends, and she is handling the stress without skipping a beat. Gearing up for Flower! 🔄☀️ The master plan is still in motion! She will be joining the Divel Cookies for the transition to the 12/12 flower cycle in the next couple of weeks while the other girls move out to the balcony. She is showing some serious vigor, stretching up beautifully while maintaining a really dense, bushy structure. 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Vertical Stretch: Brought out the folding ruler for this one! We can see she is pushing right up to the 53-54cm mark. She has some fantastic vertical momentum going right now, with strong, thick stems supporting that top canopy. 📏 Foliage & Health: The fan leaves on this plant are a gorgeous, incredibly deep, dark green. Just like the last update, there's a tiny "kiss" of tip burn on the ends of the leaves this is a great indicator that you are pushing her nutrient feed to the absolute maximum sweet spot. She is eating everything she can get! 🍽️ Training & Structure: The green LST ties are visible around the base, anchoring her down and helping widen out that lower structure. Even with the vertical stretch, she is keeping a very full, robust shape. Top Growth: Looking at the macro shots of the upper nodes, the bright, vibrant light-green new growth contrasts perfectly against the darker older leaves. The leaves are praying nicely to the light, showing she is perfectly happy in her environment. 🙏 Security Detail: Good to see the tattooed baby mascot is on duty at the base of the fabric pot, keeping a close eye on that topsoil! 👶🕷️ 💧 Next Steps: With her hitting these heights, the main goal for the next week will be continuing to manage that canopy. The vegetative growth right now is just off the charts. 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Canopy & Structure: Taking a look from those top-down angles, her canopy is incredibly wide and full. The green LST ties around the base are doing serious work, opening her up so all those multiple main tops can reach for the light evenly. 🌳 Foliage Health: She is rocking that deep, dark, leathery green color with huge, heavily serrated fan leaves. The new growth at the apexes is vibrant and praying slightly upward she's perfectly dialed in and loving the feed. 🍽️ Density: The internodal spacing is super tight, making her compact but extremely thick. She's utilizing every inch of her footprint. The vegetative stage was a huge success, and the Mellow Jelly is perfectly primed to start producing. 📈 The Details / Progress Report: The Flip: Moving to 12 hours of darkness will trigger her to start blooming. She is going into this phase with an incredible foundation. Canopy & Density: Just look at how packed that tent is getting! She has completely filled out her footprint. Taking a peek underneath, she has a super strong, wide base supporting all those multiple main tops. 🌳 Foliage Health: She is rocking a beautiful, deep, dark leathery green across the mature fan leaves. This means she has plenty of stored nitrogen and energy to fuel the explosive growth that's about to happen. The bright, vibrant new growth at the apexes shows she is still pushing hard. 🍃 Pre-Flower Setup: The canopy is extremely even right now, which is exactly what we want before the stretch begins so that all those future bud sites get equal light. 💧 Next Steps: Brace for the stretch! Over the next two to three weeks, she is likely going to double in height as she transitions. With a bush this thick, canopy management and keeping the airflow moving through that dense center are going to be my top priorities. She received the signal loud and clear, and the transition into the flowering stage is officially underway! 📈 The Details / Progress Report: We Have Pistils! Check out those first few macro shots! Beautiful, bright white pistils (hairs) are bursting out of the top nodes. The factory is officially open, and she is starting to form her initial bud sites right on schedule. 🔎❄️ The Flowering Stretch: She is entering her rapid vertical growth phase. Thanks to the heavy LST during veg, she isn't just growing one main stalk she's pushing up dozens of even tops toward the light. 🌳⬆️ Foliage Health: She is absolutely loaded with energy for this stretch. The fan leaves are a gorgeous, deep, dark, leathery green with heavy serrations. She has plenty of stored nitrogen to fuel the explosive growth over the next couple of weeks. She is deep into the flowering stretch and looking absolutely spectacular. 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Pistil Explosion: The bud sites are officially forming! Looking at the close-up shots, those bright white pistils are stacking up into beautiful little pom-poms across the entire top layer. With the flowers developing, she's starting to produce those fresh, early floral terpenes those beautiful plant scents that are sure to be a hit with everyone around the apartment! 👃✨ Canopy & Training: This is where that Master-tier LST work really shines. Peeking through the foliage, you can still see the red and green training clips holding that wide, open frame. Because of all that early manipulation, she has dozens of perfectly even tops reaching for the light instead of just one dominant cola. 🌳 Foliage Health: She is a picture of health. The fan leaves are a deep, dark, leathery green, completely loaded with the stored energy she needs to fuel this explosive stretching phase. Security Detail: And of course, the trusty tattooed baby doll mascot is still standing guard down in the soil, keeping the root zone safe! 👶? 💧 Next Steps: She is doing incredibly well on the current schedule. As these bud sites continue to establish and she finishes her vertical stretch, the next major task will likely be some strategic defoliation. She is putting all of her energy right where we want it into building some beautiful flowers! 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Bud Development: The pom-poms are turning into proper colas! Looking closely at those top nodes, the bright white pistils are stacking up aggressively, and you can see the first real layers of trichome frost starting to build on the sugar leaves. The resin production is officially underway! ❄️ Flawless Canopy: That early LST work is paying off massive dividends right now. You can see the green and black training clips still holding that framework perfectly open, allowing every single one of those top colas to get an even share of the light. 🌳 Pristine Health: Her foliage is looking immaculate. The fan leaves are a deep, leathery green with perfectly sharp serrations, and most importantly minimal signs of the pests that bothered the Devil Cookie!
