Well this grow is photo period with regular seeds. It's pretty much just going to be a little test of the Genetics. I'm not planning on doing any real training on the plants since I wanna see how they grow out naturally. In the future I plan on doing a SOG when I find a fitting plant.
I'm really excited to see what these Genetics can do. They speak very highly of themselves and there test do show out great, but I really don't trust anything I haven't seen with my own eyes. Besides that in my opinion US standard is to OVER promote everything. As they say bigger is better... even if it's not true haha. So far I've only grown European Genetics and I've been super impressed with every company so far, but on the other hand it's old company's with solid reputations, so they should preform. I've also imported some different local south Asian strains from vacations there. Generally super shitty Genetics with a really high chance of getting a hermy, but still a few great ones in between. Truly gigantic sativa looking plants mainly. My best guess on why they generally have so shitty Genetics is honestly the US invasion on Vietnam. They literally bombed those poor countries back to the stone age and dropped unbelievable amounts of chemicals into their amazing nature 😞 Severely damaging all kinds of fauna and flora. Besides that major amounts of local knowledge where lost because of everything being utterly destroyed.
Honestly the US invasion of southeast Asia is the worst crime ever committed to humanity and nature alike. Forget all about Hitler and Holocaust. If you ever have the chance to visit Vietnam you should most definitely take the time to go see all the museums and other stuff from the war. It's the only way you will ever truly get an idear of what really went down over there. But be prepared for the sadest days of your life.
Anyways they are generally the toughest people you'll ever get the chance to meet and they are on their way back up again(without all the support the US promised for their war crimes).
Honestly writing this I fell kind of sad even supporting US seed company's, but like the Vietnamese I will forgive and forget 🙏
Starting the feed on the plants. Everything is looking good except 1 plant I decided to kill since it had been looking sick and weird from day 1. So only one Lemon Snowcone left. Had a couple of seeds popping up from the Coco. Probably a cross between my own Cambodiab import seeds and an unknown auto I grew. (I re use my Coco). Decided to let them go and see what they will produce 😁 One the 12 I've upped base nutrients to 2ml/L, so far so good no mishaps yet. The weather is getting way hotter and more humid outside, the effect in the grow room is fairly minimal though, (About one degree hotter Celsius and 5% more humid).
None of the plants give of any odour yet, since they are still in veg. The Lemon Snowcone though has the most intense bitter lemon smell to the touch I've ever experienced. The smell is like rubbing your hands in lemon peel for hours! 😍 The 2-scoops has a indescribable smell to it. Sweet something I can't figure out 😊 The Cambodian cross has exhibited it's father's traits of being completely smell less so far. Definitely the most stealthy shit I've ever grown, except for the fact the plants like to grow into huge trees 😂
Everything has been flawless so far. Did some hst in form of Fimming all the plants. All looks good after repot so far. I will let the plants grow another 20 cm approximately and train them out for a more even canopy. I'm going to do some pinching here and there and a little Defoliating, but I'm not planning of topping anymore.
Started the 12/12 flower cycle. So far everything is still going flawless. I'm still having a little heat and humidity pronlems, but a solution is on the way. Flowering hasn't begun yet so hopefully especially the humidity won't be a problem. Hoping for two lady's atleast, but we will ser in a few Days 😁
Still not that bad a smell, mostly the 2 scoops giving off a little. My own cross has the usual no smell at all, only at touch it smells like a tomato plant. Everything going great otherwise only my own cross has shown sign of sex yet, (thankfully a female). Loves the small 2 scoops into my small room. Not sure the light in there was on for 12 hours exactly, but hopefully it won't fuck up anything 🤭
Now on Juli 2 All the plants minus the Short and stocky one Turned out female! 😁 Better than i dared Hope for which leads to that i've probally out vegged the plants a little. The flower stretch is really taking on and it's allready crowded in there 😐 The growth on My own cross is insane. I think it's doing atleast 10cm in height a Day.
I really bred some help om this on. Does the pictutes i've uploadede for this week named "hermy" look like hermy to you ord just new shots going on? I'm not sure at all myself 😰
Everything is going well still. The plants has outgrown me a bit, but nothing to do about that. The Cambodian cross is going for the sky! Hope it's gonna stop stretching soon otherwise i'll be in problems 😆
My own cross Turned out to be a hermie. The stability of the genes in the Cambodian are super unstable with a large portion of them turning hermie. The cross only had a very few number of male flowers unlike any hermie plant i've ever seen myself. So I choose to just pull All male flowers and keep the plant. I Will be doing this from now to harvest as there Will surely be another few male flowers popping out 😁
I think i might have defoliated the 2 scoops so much it's slighly hermie on me, but i'm not sure yet.
Another week has passed. The high temperatures outside is still messing with my grow. Both the temperatures and humidity is higher than i'd like. I bought an a/c unit, but it's not really working for my setup. I might redo the room before next grow.
Anyways things are otherwise going fine. The Lemon Snowcone and 2 scoops has started thier stretch. The Lemon is catching Up fine, the 2 scoops being a little slower. The Cambodian cross is exploding, but thankfully it's stretch seem to have stopped. Had a slight nute burn so i'm doing a less concentrated feed now.
The Cambodian still gives off no smell at all and as far as it is i highly doubt it will start smelling at any point. Absolutely the most stealthy weed plant ever. The other 2 only give off a slight smell, but that may still change drastically 😆
Yet another week has passed. I accidetially came to break one of the tops of the 2-scoops 😔 Otherwise things are going fine. The Cambodian keeps fattening Up and the 2 others get more and more frosty 😁
The lemon snowcone is definitely the best smelling plant I've ever encountered. It smells like sweet lemons and I mean like crazy sweet lemons, candy like.
Had some nute burns. The Lemon Snowcone is still my all time favorite, I'm definitely going to clone or re-veg this plant. Otherwise things are fine. I do regret a bit not taking down my own cross when I first expected it to be hermie. That plant has kind of messed up everything. Anyways it is going to be a nostalgic experience to smoke it 😁
Everything had been smooth so far until the thrips arrived -. - damn bugs. I bought some local eco poison for fruiting/flowering plants. It seemed to do a real nice job. I will give them a second time in a week or so 😊
Another week has come. The thrips finally seem to be a problem of the past. I've never dealt with them before and I definitely first saw the problem late on. Still they have only really damaged the Cambodian. I will start flushing at next week I think, mainly just to get these plants out and do a proper clean up. Generally having the Cambodian hermy and all I just want to do a hard reset and get on with a new grow 😁
The Cambodian actually took so much damage from the thrips it had started to die out. So i flushed it for 4 Days and took it down. All in All the end yield on this is definently half or less of what could have been. Not that it bothers me very much i'm not really Short on supply, besides it's pretty mellow weed. Mostly siuted for parties or social occasions with ppl with low tolerance.
I checkes the trichomes on the other 2. The Lemon Snowcone is allready atleast 30% Amber where the 2-scopes is only 5% or something like that. So they Will both be flushed now, even though the 2-scoops could go a little longer, but then i wouldn't be able to give both of Them a dark period. So they are going down together 😁. I'm really looking forward to smoking Them both, they both smell and look insane!
Real nice stuff. Even though this strain had the most amazing sweet lemon candy smell through out the whole grow, now after drying and curing it just mainly has your typical strong skunky smell to it. If you rub the buds a bit between your fingers or grind it up the candy smell will appear again. The buds are a bit on the fluffy side, but with good stickiness to them and a nice thrichome layer. On smoking it is mainly a skunky tast with some sweet lemon tones and some pine, wood like thing to it. Balanced high leaning on the indica side. Strong stuff, but it won't knock you over. Over all I'm still very happy with the end product😃
This plant didn't yield that much, but it didn't have optimal conditions so I don't fell I can judge from this grow how the yeild could be. I will definitely grow it again!
This is definitely my all time favorite of plants I've grown myself! The frost level is out of this world. The smell is absolutely unique and super loud. The taste is exactly the same as the smell which is a rare thing in my opinion. If I had to describe the smell/taste I'd actually say the breeder has nailed it when he says it reminds of old scholl pop up ice cream. The orange funky like tasting ones. The high is also as described on the sati a leaning side. Definitely a plant I will be growing again and again 😁 I can only recommend ppl to try this strain, it is truly something for itself!
@The_Projexx,
Thanks, unfortunately my own cross turned out hermie so there is seeds in every thing. I've tried it before it impacts your end yield quite much 😊
