D33jW This is my contest diary entry. #WorldBreedersLab I hope this will be the beginning of a full test of one of your genetics. Grow Context Based in Europe. Growing for over 10 years, with the last few years focused on a more conscious and technical approach. My main style is soil with mineral feeding, but I also have experience with organic cultivation. I focus strongly on environmental control, especially VPD, which I consider one of the key factors in plant health and development. Stable conditions allow me to maintain consistent growth and avoid unnecessary stress. Watering is based on timing and observation. I avoid overwatering and allow the root zone to breathe properly. I pay close attention to plant signals and root development before increasing volume. Plants developed with good structure and healthy growth. I focus on resin production, trichome coverage, and overall flower formation. Stable conditions helped achieve consistent results across the plants. I pay attention to aroma and terpene profiles and I’m learning to recognize more characteristic scents present in plants. I can already identify notes such as citrus (limonene), pine (pinene), and earthy tones (myrcene), and I continue to develop this aspect with each run. For me, growing is about observation, patience, and understanding the plant. Each run is a learning process where I refine my technique and improve results step by step. Overall, plants responded well to stable VPD and controlled watering, showing consistent growth and strong resin production. Let this journey finally begin! 👻👻👻

D33jW At day 14 everything is going very well. Plants are showing excellent turgor – leaves are reaching up towards the light and overall growth is fast and healthy. They look very vigorous and responsive at this stage. Light intensity is being increased gradually day by day. This allows the plants to adapt step by step and make full use of the available energy without stress. Watering is done carefully, trying to avoid overwatering while still providing enough for proper development. Keeping a good balance here seems to be key. Environment is stable and the plants are clearly enjoying it. Strong start so far – very happy with how they’re developing.

D33jW End of week 3 of veg. Plants have been transplanted into 7L pots and moved into a bigger 80x80 tent, giving them more space to develop. Despite the transplant, turgor remains at a very good level and the plants handled the transition without any issues. First LST has been applied to start shaping the structure early and prepare for an even canopy. Watering is done carefully, avoiding overwatering while allowing the roots to expand properly and colonize the new medium. Really impressed with the vigor of this genetics so far – fast growth, healthy look, and overall great development. Definitely enjoying how they’re coming along.

D33jW Week completed and the plants are looking great. You can clearly see the strength of this genetics – big healthy leaves, strong stems, and very vigorous overall growth. Roots had no problem colonizing the entire 7L pot within a week, which says a lot about their development speed and health. Watering is now covering the full pot, with at least 600 ml per watering as the plants continue to increase their uptake. Light cycle has officially been switched to 12/12. Flowering starts now 🚀

D33jW First week of flowering completed and everything is moving in the right direction. Plants are drinking more every day — currently around 1L every 24h, which shows how active and vigorous they’ve become since the flip. I’m keeping VPD relatively high, maybe even slightly too high at times, with peaks reaching around 1.4. So far the plants are responding very well and maintaining excellent turgor. This run I’m also testing stretch control by keeping day and night temperatures as equal as possible. Lights are running during the night, while the naturally higher room temperature during the day helps maintain a very similar environment during lights on and lights off. Leaves are still showing zero signs of deficiencies, so base nutrients are only being added occasionally, once every few waterings rather than constantly. Very clean start to flower so far — healthy growth, strong metabolism, and great plant response overall.

D33jW End of week 3 of flower. The stretch is coming to an end and the plants are settling into their flowering structure. As usual, I’m dealing with some humidity challenges, but everything remains under control. Plants are developing nicely with a strong structure and healthy growth across the canopy. On day 21, I performed a lollipopping session and made a few LST adjustments to improve light penetration and focus the plants' energy on the most productive flowering sites. One thing that really stands out is how quickly the plants are starting to frost up. Resin production is already becoming noticeable, which is always a great sign this early in flower. We’re also seeing some beautiful purple pistils appearing among the white ones, creating a very attractive contrast and adding even more character to the flowers. Overall, the plants look healthy, vigorous, and are progressing exactly as I hoped.

D33jW End of week 4 of flower. Summer conditions continue to be a challenge, with temperatures and humidity staying higher than I would like. So far, however, the plants don't seem to mind and continue to perform very well. Water uptake remains steady at around 1L every 24 hours. Turgor is excellent and the plants are maintaining a healthy appearance. Color is on the lighter side, but I’m still providing enough nutrition to make sure nitrogen remains available throughout this important stage. Flower development has started exceptionally well. Bud sites are stacking nicely, pistil production is abundant, and resin coverage is increasing rapidly across the flowers. The aroma is becoming much more pronounced now, bringing a complex mix of kush, sweet candy notes, and a noticeable gassy background. Very happy with their progress so far. The plants are healthy, vigorous, and building flowers exactly as I hoped.

D33jW End of week 5 of flower. This week the weather has been much more cooperative. I managed to maintain around 27°C and 60% RH, resulting in a much more comfortable VPD range for flowering. Plants continue to drink steadily at up to 1L every 24 hours. Their appetite is clearly increasing, and the lower leaves are showing that they're pulling nutrients from stored reserves, especially as flowering demand continues to rise. Turgor remains very good and the plants still look healthy and vigorous overall. Flower development has accelerated noticeably this week. Buds are gaining size quickly and the increase in mass is visible across the canopy. The aroma is becoming much stronger and more defined, filling the tent every time it's opened. No PK booster response to report yet, as Green Sensation will be introduced later this week. It will be interesting to see how the plants react during the next stage of flower. Overall, the plants are showing a strong appetite, steady water uptake, and excellent flower development as they move deeper into bloom.

D33jW End of week 6 of flower. Managing the environment is becoming more challenging as the plants move deeper into bloom. At this stage, lowering both temperature and humidity is a priority. Air conditioning is now running, and unfortunately the dehumidifier still needs to work constantly, which adds some extra heat to the room. Despite this, conditions remain within an acceptable range. Water uptake has stabilized at around 800 ml every 24 hours. This week the plants received one application of Green Sensation, while the rest of the feeding consisted of CalMag Pro and Power Buds. Bud development continues at an impressive pace. The increase in flower mass is clearly visible, and the plants are stacking nicely across the canopy. Resin production remains one of the highlights of this run. The flowers are becoming increasingly frosty, giving them a beautiful appearance and promising finish. Leaf color is still holding strong with no significant fading yet. Pistils, however, are slowly beginning to turn brown, which suggests the plants are entering the early stages of ripening and may be on track for an 8-week finish. Overall, the first signs of maturity are starting to appear while flower size, resin production, and overall quality continue to improve week after week.

D33jW commented1mo ago
@RakonGrow, As long as you keep your VPD high, everything is fine because the plants have good transpiration. The problem occurs when the VPD drops and the plants stop drinking properly. The mold problem only appears at the end of flowering, when the flowers have already built up their structure. The best solution here is good airflow.
