Zerplatztertraum Houston, we're having problems. noticed first leaf with spider mites and a bit of webbing. Great this late in the process! No picture because i freaked out. Checked the whole plant removing leaves that look suspicious, constantly disinfecting my hands and scissors (dailynex) Humidity was actually lower in that last weeks than i wrote, but i will try to push it even lower. Got the second venti running to give the mites the hardest time possible. Trichomes still mostly clear. this is a race against time (and mites) now.

Zerplatztertraum Added humidifier with water & dailynex - seems to have stabilized the mites issue. here and there i pick a leaf with the little suckers, but all in all plant is healthy. Trichomes start going milky, a week or two more i guess

Zerplatztertraum Ahhhh! The mites are back, lost a few good buds (or to be more specific: sacificed them before the suckers take over completly)
Solution: ventilators (i added a second one) blasting on full, humidifier gets the room to around 50-55%.
I sneak around the plant daily with my vacuum like a bush warrior and suck up any little webbing i can see. they seemed to have calmed down, but i trust noone now. daily checks it is. Maybe 7-10 days to go for a milky with lttle brown trichomes, which i will probably go for before the mites go party bigtime.
Im not a messie. the room was disinfected and cleaned. where do they come from? i dont live in the woods, but next to big highways.. Please adivise for future grows.I do have wood furniture in the room, could this be the issue?

Zerplatztertraum celebrated too early - mites continue to be an issue. Will havest soon and budwash i think
Zerplatztertraum So, I’d like to say “all good things come to an end” - but honestly, the last few days had me closer to crying than celebrating. I was vacuuming twice a day, wiping down plants constantly, and seriously considered washing the entire harvest into hash just to salvage it.
But damn… the buds actually look really fine :)
I ended up doing a bud wash, hung everything to dry for a bit, and then moved it all into my FridgeGrow 2.0 setup (check it out online — super cool little device, sadly discontinued). Drying has officially started.
For the first night I went with 18°C and 30% RH just to get rid of excess surface moisture from the wash. From tomorrow onward I’ll move toward the classic 60/60.
I didn’t weigh the wet buds - honestly, why would I? But apparently you can’t continue without entering some number somewhere
The bud wash definitely knocked off quite a few outer trichomes, but thankfully it also removed all visible webbing and mite activity. Once drying is complete and I start trimming, I’ll post detailed macro shots showing the damaged outer trichomes and, hopefully, healthy intact ones underneath.
The main issue with my setup is environmental: I grow in my bathroom in a low-energy apartment in Germany, where basically all the apartment’s air gets pulled through the bathroom vent. I also keep a lot of regular houseplants, so spores, mites, and all the fun stuff inevitably travel through that space at some point.
Not the smoothest run — but we made it to harvest.
