Week 1 update - she started off in the cabinet in a soil/compost/purlite medium and that was a mistake. The medium was slightly too hot and all the seedlings struggled out the gate. This didn’t stunt growth but did certainly delay things longer than preferred.
Background
To the best of our knowledge, White Label is outta Amsterdam and this is their purple haze. It’s a 70% sativa, medium size by comparison to other sativas. Sorry - specific strain background is unknown. The effects description is perfect for our purposes and sounds like a great day time option. The original intent was to just get one of these growing, throw on a property and let her do her thing without much involvement. Well, complications arose and ensued and we ended up having to swap out the 707 in the cabinet with this girl instead just to keep growth rates relatively comparable with the strawberry Cough that’s fully go’n off right now👍. The planting medium will ultimately be coco and purlite in a 7gal. Smartpot. She was topped at about the 5th node to match heights with the SC and break apical dominance. There is honestly no particular plan with this plant so it should be fun to see how she turns out - thanks for stoppn in. She’s def. an all time classic👊.
Week 2 update - still struggling through it. She’s not perfectly happy but gonna make it regardless.👍

Week 5 update - ready to move me out for transport to a quiet place elsewhere to grow freely. That obviously didn’t happen and this one ended up back inside. All still good👍

Week 6 update - we’re back inside to flower out under ideal conditions. This girls getting her forever home 7gal. This weekend once we’ve got room after chopp’n the cheese. They’ll only be 2 plants in the grow space after the most recent auto cycle is finished so, ample room for this girl to spread out👍😎.

Week 7 update - not much say’n this week. She’s on the smaller side and really only getting another 2 weeks max of veg. Before we launch and see what happens in flower.
We decided to plunk a couple biotabs to limit the amount of nute mixing and really just give em a test run to see how they perform. We’re def. late on this and for a time released nute it’s not ideal but is what it is.
This plant is definitely not the happiest and I’m left to wonder if it’s a result of moving over to a coco medium or possibly a slight overwatering. Well see how she does over the next few days and reassess. My luck lately with underperforming plants hasn’t been good so hopefully she turns around. Thanks to all for swing’n in and checkn er out👊.
June 3 update - yeah, what the hell - let’s give the new tabs a go and see what shakes out. We’re a couple weeks late on it but I’ve been so damn busy lately that not having to mix an extra set of nutes would be a huge time saver about now.

Week 8 update - well shit went south pretty damn quick people. I got lazy and tried pop’n in a couple biotabs... at week 7.... a time released nute.... time released.... at week 7?
No wonder she’s lookn severely nitro and overall, generally, everything, deficient - u tool. So she’s really unhappy to the point where I’m concerned for her recoverability. I hit er with a shot of full strength grow nutes and so far no change. So she’s either gonna recover... or she’s gonna die with a severe toxicity issue... you’d think I’d know by now how this is gonna play out... nope😂. Pray for us or something dudes👊 Lol 🤞
June 12 update - well whattya know! The shot of additional nutes has turned her around a bit and she’s once again praying to the grow light. The deficiency was petty severe and did some damage but seems this is only isolated to larger fan leaves so I think we caught it in time. She’s still looking deficient and I think I’m gonna hit er again with more nutes on the next feed. This’ll be tricky moving forward now that we’ve also got the bio tabs soaked into the medium. Regardless she’s staying put in the ICU until she’s fully recovered and then we’ll look at when we want to transition er to flower. Probably keep er under this light for the duration as she seems to like these surroundings the most. Bummer cuz I really wanted to see this one bud under the COB. Well see. Not out of the woods yet but things are starting to look better for sure👍.

Week 9 update - well she’s back on the grow! After an aggressive supplemental approach 😉 (see last week lol) she’s finally come back around. Pretty much deficient in general and bounced back very well 👍. Alls good now and just need to wait until time is right to flip. Thanks for tske’n a look👊.

Week 10 update - so things haven’t, really, in any way at all, gone the way they were supposed with this plant. Seedling issues, location issues, nute deficiencies, more location issues lol. So I guess it’s appropriate that we end up right back here and in a perfect spot to run out a 1 plant Scrog. So that’s what I’m gonna do - drop a net on er and get as much coverage out of the old vipar as I can. It only makes sense given where this plants at and how much spread we have left. Only topped once but she now has enough side branching to warrant a good fill during the stretch. I held her back a week just to stagger out my projected chop times with the rest of what we got go’n on this season. Well see - she could turn out to be an absolute gem🤞🤞🤞. After all the bull shit so far that would be epic🤘. Thanks for taken a look👊.
Jun 24 update - net went down today. A little later than preferred but should be alright as long as we don’t get too much stretch. The light is already pushed to its height limit😬. Also stripped er down and lollipopped out the lower half. Gonna let er chill for a day and then finish tying er back to the net. Alls good👍. Three weeks of tucking and tying then she’ll generally take care of herself save the feedings. Flip should still be on sched. For next week.😎
June 26 update - tied er down as best as possible. She won’t be perfectly even by any stretch. She’s also real lanky so not gonna push it if she ain’t where I want er and we have to wait bit on the flip. Well see how well she releafs and stretches over the next few days👍

Week 11 update - well I was sure we’d have to take er another week before the flip. I didn’t want to and I’m glad we didn’t have to cause she’s filled out the net real well. We kept er as close to the net as possible and as per photos - had to get creative in spots 😉 (primarily due to height restrictions). Alls good and lookn forward to watching this one flower out. Think we went with the scrog just in time👍. Thanks for swing’n in👊
July 4 update - wow, the last few days have seen er really bulk out. It’s ya excited for the next 2 weeks of the stretch. Amazingly, she’s the first single plant grow cycle in this space and she is using every damn inch of it. It may not be the ideal and perfect scrog but think we’re gonna max out every bit of the light and footprint that’s available👍😎.

Week 12 update - well the scrog we were so proud of turned into an absolute gong show right quick. We’re only starting week 2 of the stretch and she’s gone buck wild. This is presenting a significant potential problem considering that I’ve got no more room to raise the light and we’re already far closer than preferred. Always wanted this problem and to absolutely stuff this cabinet but This is a little ridiculous. Probably have to strip back the larger fans and tie er down as best as possible this week. Otherwise, she’s obviously none the worse for wear so far👍. Steady as she goes, let’s pray she slows up and we don’t fry er🤞🤞🤞.
July 11 update - crap, she’s a fierce minx. Had to supercrop a few colas down just to keep things manageable.... hmmmm 🤔. Yeah - not quite sure how this turns out yet. Good thing we got the net down when we did but man it’s gonna be an ugly scrog this cycle. She may not be perfect but she’s definitely testing every trick I got in the bag😉👍😎😂.

Week 13 update - we’ve still got at least a week of stretch to go. This was a mistake and should’ve left er in the big box. She’s squished up within 9” of the light and I can’t even take a decent overhead pic anymore😂😂. The larger colas are also quite stiff now making more hat risky😬😬😬. As I said before, I’ve always wanted this problem so is what it is but still - would be a damn shame to burn the crap out of such a beautiful plant. Squeezed another inch or so out of the light but it still won’t be enough. Fingers crossed this bitch doesn’t burst y’all! Thanks for take’n a look👊.
July 18 update - I measured, she stretched a half inch today and the largest colas are now so perilously close to the light that I think I’m starting to see some light burn (see photos). think this was a very bad idea... 3rd week of stretch isnt even over yet and I fully expect this plant to run another week more after that... yeesh no problems👎

Week 14 update - sadly I was correct. She stretched another 7” this past week and is now standing at 30” tall following lst, supercropping and a scrog net. None of it worked the way it needed to so that she stayed low and away from the grow light. No choice now and we’ve gotta bend a few of the taller colas over. It won’t look as pretty and we’re not quite sure how she’s gonna take to more hst this late in the game but the next 2 days are our last window to try and mitigate what will become a light burn disaster if we don’t get the canopy lower. Other than that she got a light defo just to open up the canopy and get light penetration a little deeper. The next week will tell the tale on the eventual harvest. Thanks as always for take’n a look. If she doesn’t stress too much she’ll be a beast!👍😎👊
July 25 update - bent over the tallest cola that was touching the light. Took awhile to soften up the stem but it worked without any cracking so should be ok. Hopefully she’s not too stressed by it.🤞 damn I’ve had to cross my fingers a lot on this grow...

Week 15 update - mercifully the stretch seems to be coming to its end and she’s now turning her focus to bulking up her buds. So far - no seeming burn issues with proximity to the light yet which is strange - the overall canopy is now within 5.5” of the light so this should be a problem (and may still be later in flower). The only benefit to this is that her leaf structure isn’t overly dense so the light is penetrating extra deep into the plant. This might actually help with lower bud development which has been a problem with this light in the past. Either way, we bent over her tallest cola that was touching the light last week. The added stress hasn’t slowed her down one bit it seems and we should be smooth sailing to the finish if she doesn’t “burn up on re-entry”😂😂😂. Thanks as always for take’n a look👊. The book on er says 50-65 day flowering period so we can expect another 2-3 weeks for the harvest window to open (sweeeeet)😎😎😎.

Week 16 update - 6 weeks into flower and things are lookn good. Book on er has another 30 some days of flower to go and that seems about right at this stage. She certainly hasn’t suffered from the emergency hst - another testament to the resilience of this plant.
She’s drinkn steady now too - about 2.5gals every 2/3 days. She’s thin in comparison to a lot of strains with a sparse leaf structure that makes penetration with this lower quality grow light much better. Again, if we don’t scorch the plant due to the cramped conditions this space, light and strain may have been made for one another👍. All is surprisingly well right now folks. Thanks for take’n a look👊.

Week 17 update - week 17 and week 7 of flower. For perspective, we’re into the 42nd day of what’s supposed to be a 50-65 day flowering period. I count from the first day of the flip so should usually be late on breeder estimates in most cases, rather than early. surprisingly enough though, trich. development is remarkable and a lot more advanced than expected. She’s developing a really nice scent and continues to be somewhat leggy in terms of node spacing. Buds are developing Great. Not sure yet what to guesstimate on yield. We clawed back the nute sched. a Touch and ran outta the pro-bloom, moving mid-steam to the kind bloom line instead. There’s now a chance that this girl goes off a little earlier than she was supposed to... i think I may be right and my scissor hand is already aching. Gonna be a banner crop year if they all make it👍. Hope alls we’ll grow folks👊

Week 18 update - week 8 of flower and what should be her final week per the specs. Think she’s got another 10-14 days for sure as she hasn’t yet started to turn over on the fade and trichs still not quite there yet. We’ll continue with a light nute feed this week until she shows signs of done-ness👍. All told she’s done extremely well given all the challenges and I’m now left to wonder how much yield we left on the table by leaving her under the lower powered light.🤔🤔🤔. Can’t complain too much here because she’s still pretty beastly and WILL be a giver for sure👍. Not much longer to the finish now folks. Thanks as always to everyone for the comments and support. Looking forward to a little less diarizing and a little more creeping on the grows of others when the summer cycle is complete. Cheers homies👊👊👊

Week 19 update - and so we arrive at the end. While it’s been hard to tell with the last few plants, the fade on this one has come on, trichs are in our wheelhouse and it’s time to start the flush. They’ll get 2-3 ph’d waterings over the next week and then an extended dry time before we chop. Despite all the challenges we faced on this one she’s performed admirably in her current environment. A true sativa, her node spacing was stretched somewhat and we’re not expecting huge numbers in terms of yield. That said, what we will pull off this plant is gonna be some special smoke indeed. She frosted out very nicely even though the lack of headroom resulted in less light coverage post stretch. Stay tuned folks and thanks as always for take’n a look👊. Harvest report to follow shortly😉😎👍.
Aug 28 update - she’s fade’n like a dream. Chop is coming up end of week.

Week 20 update - this plant has pysch’d me out a little I think. By all accounts she should be done but Im think’n she’s got a little more to give. Gonna take ‘er through this week on 1-2 more flushes and see where she’s at then. Trichs are just about there and I’d like to see er fade just a little more. Alls well - apologies for the slight delay and thanks for swing’n in👊.
Then she caught a massive deficiency, ended up in ICU and has been on her own ever since. The planting medium is coco and purlite in a 7gal. Smartpot. She was topped at about the 5th node to match heights with the SC and break apical dominance. There is honestly no particular plan with this plant so it should be fun to see how she turns out - thanks for stoppn in. She’s def. an all time classic👊.
We’ve finally rolled through the last of the summer indoor cycle and White Label Seeds is absolutely a winner. When you consider the amount of “user error” that took place on this grow (see method details below), you really gotta give these beans credit for their resiliency. Regardless, I’d argue that it was more difficult to grow than most, the environment wasn’t overly appropriate for this plants true potential but, despite the challenges, she’s proven incredibly fun to grow. Overall - 8 stars for this classic sativa.
Taste & Smell: 🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭
Effects: 🍭🍭🍭🍭
This one surprised in a number of ways. Not only was she dank and fresh, she stayed that way all through the chop and the dry. The smoke was impeccably smooth for a fresh batch and the vape was quite tasty. I was picking up notes of fruit and pine mixed with an earthy undertone. I have no choice - she’s Gettn a full 5 lollipop emojis for the consumption experience.
The effects were what we wanted this season with such a broad array of sativas on the grow. She comes on strong and fast with a definitive cerebral stone. It’s heavy but not debilitating and quite a functional yet very strong high. An excellent daytime option with a decidedly smooth and delicate come down too - no real knockout blow either way and a complete lack of raciness so we chopped at the perfect time. 4 lollipop emojis - I’d be remiss not to also mention the colours on ‘er as well. Some the nicest I’ve seen. Thisis truly a pure classic.👌

Method 🎚️
I’m allowing 1 volume slide emoji for the method because there was, at least, an attempt to train this girl (even if almost every part of the method was a fail). If I have any silent haters on here that have been waiting for me to undeniably screw up a grow, wait no longer because nothing went right on this one and most of it is entirely my own fault.
At seedling, she was planted in a compost mix that was Wayyyy too hot. She almost didn’t make it and her initial couple leaves were deformed and totally weird as a result. She was supposed to be done outdoors but instead was transplanted to a 7gal. Coco pot in early veg. For reasons unknown (I was probably stoned to the point of stupid) I neglected to immediately start a nute regimen and instead opted to throw down some biotabs. By this time it was week 4 or so and a time released nute isn’t exactly gonna work well at this point🙄.
Thankfully I came to my senses (or at least a moment of sobriety) a few days later and as the severe nutrient deficiency progressed I started hitting it heavy with a full compliment of grow nutes and supplements. She recovered. That said, the error resulted in a 2 week delay on the flip necessitating her move from the main (larger) cabinet to the smaller, single plant cabinet. No choice but to segregate er and hope that we could control the growth through plant training.
From here we encountered our next issue - she recovered really well but was gonna end up a massive, branchy mess if we didn’t do some serious training. We tried a scrog net to control this and it was a partial fail - easily the ugliest scrog you’ve ever seen. But, it did serve its purpose to keep the canopy as low as possible. After the flip she stretched so much that we had to supercrop the tallest branch or she was gonna get torched by the grow light.
So let’s recap -
poorly planned plant size vs. Grow environment.
No plan with respect to nute schedule.
Poorly managed training schedule.
Poorly managed training.
No legit plan for anything.
It’s kinda embarrassing to be honest😬.

Coco’s always a reliable option and growing medium when indoors. Love that it’s reusable and how quickly it dries out. The speed of growth is advanced compared to soil and its neutrality in terms of nutrients is awesome when you want to flush it out prior to chop.
Medium only loses one emoji because (although a benefit indoors) it lacks the nutrient holding ability of soil that can sometimes save ur bacon with more finicky strains.
Grew this one out under a 450w vipar but I’m told the true wattage is significantly less than that by about half. She took to this lamp really well and while it’s not the Cadillac of light fixtures that my cob rig is proving to be, she gets the job done time and time again. 3 sun emojis for doing what it’s supposed to. Losing marks only for a lack of power and that the results will never be as good as they could be. We’ll take the yield on this grow any day however😉👍.
Yield🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
She could’ve been that much better if I’d not botched every step of the grow. Despite this we ended up with some incredibly large and extremely dense nugs. This was despite exceptionally long intermodal spacing too. I have to give this plant a full 5 of 5 tree emojis because what she produced was surprising to say the least. It’s simple in the end I guess - bigger pot = bigger yields.
The numbers are as follows;
179.3 grams/0.28m2 - this roughly equates to 640g/m2 which is a super high average yield for most plants. That’s 6.3oz of high quality sativa goodness within roughly 2.5sq/ft👌🤘😎✊.
Props
Again we gotta thank GD for offering up this platform for all of us to share on. Bunch doped out potheads - the lot of ya! And also everyone that swung in to drop a comment for this one. It’s straight awesome to hear from so many like minded people just look’n to share what they do. Harvest season is quickly coming to a close y’all🤘. My best to everyone trying like me to get to the end of it🤞😎👊.
@randyjustice, cheers bud appreciate the look👍. This one got delayed a week with a deficiency issue... and then another week to stagger harvest with other grows. If all goes well with getting the net down this week, probably be flipping this Saturday/Sunday. Depends on how tameable she is - scrogging this plant is a bit of an afterthought... much like the entire grow! Lol👊
@mr_h_kovert, appreciated as always HK. Still a little in awe on the colour variance. Yield was a surprise too so it’ll keep us in a haze for a good while👍😎👊
Good job! I know you think differently for this round, but they say part of being a good grower is learning to resolve and adapt to problems, and with that yield you proved that you can. I still have yet to get a grow that I'm completely happy with. It's all a learning experience.
@MovingOn, yeah I guess so. In the end I’m happy with it - just a little annoyed with some of the decisions which only made it more difficult. But ur right - end result is there👍 And man she’s tasty👌👊
