Canna-Lytiker Unfortunately, nothing came of the Velvet Moon - Instead, it will be replaced with the Watermelon. The seed developed quickly and robustly. After 2 days, the head is out - escalation for later? Check out my other diaries too:

Canna-Lytiker Ei ei was ist denn da passiert? Heute morgen habe ich reingeschaut, da lag meine Süße... Kein Problem!

Canna-Lytiker Not quite a week ago, but the progress is visible. Many little root tips are already poking out at the bottom. If the sweetness keeps this up, I might be able to top them before moving into the 11L pot. I'm also looking forward to the training to fill the tent later. Anyway, the idea is to leave space for the Guava Sundae and Guava Runtz that are also supposed to be on the balcony. So I think we'll only go outside in June when the sun is better positioned to make good use of the shadier spots.

Canna-Lytiker This week, it was time to move to the final pot and out to the balcony. After a few days of acclimatization in the new pot, it was time for a top cut. The time in the tent during the pre-cultivation worked wonders. The roots developed into a beautiful ball that made repotting super easy. Repotted in the morning and already slightly praying in the evening. Generally, both plants are praying daily; they love the regular sun and show it in their growth. You can't even tell that the watermelon is a few days behind the Radical Juice. However, I notice that the watermelon will grow a bit airier. The slight defects on the leaves are my fault... I wanted to pamper the ladies with a foliar spray and forgot about the sun... As a result, the watermelon got a bit less than the Radical Juice. You can see the burn spots much more clearly on the Radical Juice... Don't worry, it won't happen again....

Canna-Lytiker Ohh ohh... Also I really have to make sure I keep them in check. This week, we had to chop off the heads. Since our lovely ladies are Hydras, we had to cut off every head. Today, I also started with the low-stress training, or as others might call it, mainlining. If the lady really lasts until August, I have to be extremely careful that she doesn't outgrow me in the tent. It definitely looks promising already 🤡

Canna-Lytiker We're continuing to adjust the watermelon from week to week. Today, there was a little defoliation to slow it down a bit. The smaller shoots that are now getting a bit more light should take their chance to grow to the same height as the others. I think it's time to lose the top again on Wednesday. In any case, it's very vigorous and strong, and I'm already looking forward to when it goes into the tent.

Canna-Lytiker I measured, and we have a problem, cough... When I put both plants side by side, we get a good span of 1.20 m, which will be the maximum for the width in the tent, and it will stay that way. This means we will apparently have to bend some branches upwards when it goes into the tent. It definitely can't go any wider. We should make sure that all the side branches start growing upwards to the same height so that a flat top remains. I'm diligently cutting off the tops regularly and checking which branch needs to lose its head so that all the other branches can continue growing to the same height. Now the way up is unavoidable... If all else fails, I'll make a radical cut on some branches in August to adjust the width. But the way the watermelon is behaving, I'm already looking forward to the time in the tent.

Canna-Lytiker Once again, I'm chopping off heads. I hardly have any other options left. That's why I've decided to ask the AI for help this time. According to my current plan, supercropping is my only option. When I look at my two guavas in the tent, there are still about three to four weeks plus an additional week for drying when the tent is occupied. By then, both of them will have reached a considerable height that I need to somehow tame. The AI's idea this week was to top for the last time, continue not giving any nutrients, heavily defoliate, and start supercropping in about two weeks. Since I'm planning a short vegetative phase during the bringing in, that should help me distribute the shoots well with the scrog net, fill everything out to have a great dirigation. And then I think all I can do is pray during the stretch 🤡👍🏻 Nonetheless, the watermelon stands out clearly from the Radical juice. Very exciting!

Canna-Lytiker Premiere - today I dared to try supercropping for the first time. After a strong defoliation and a proper shower, since we found those little bastards, thrips, I got to work on gathering my first experiences as best as I could. Looking at the end result, I'm actually quite satisfied and managed to create a decent wheel. Whether all the shoots will survive, I don't know yet; I'll see, and I'm looking forward to it. But we've gone from a good 67cm down to 50cm, baby! By the time it goes into the tent, I think the Watermelon will definitely have made up for the supercropping! Because if it prays at almost 50°C, it will be blessed!

Canna-Lytiker Yeah, I haven't done much here. I've let them recover from all the stress for now, and I will continue to do so no matter how high they shoot up. Because if you check out the other diaries, the guava runs and the grava sunday are now ready to be harvested this Friday. Considering the drying time of maybe seven days, it means soon it's off to the tent. Since I've noticed thrips, I even proactively got myself some fungus gnat larvae. Next week, just before they go in, there will be a neem oil shower so we don't bring in any pests for the flowering stage. Then I'll be diligently weaving them into the net, and after a week of vegetation, we'll initiate the flowering. I'm already looking forward to my little wheel of fortune 😍 Soon, I'll also continue here on YouTube, with a few more details about the flowering and the terpenes 🏽 And, check out my growmie - there's always some escalation going on with him: https://growdiaries.com/grower/stimpson

Canna-Lytiker There's nothing to see here today, but soon there will be an update after moving into the tent because it's time. The drying of the other two plants is underway. If all goes well, there will be an update from the tent on Friday. Otherwise, everything is going great; the supercropping went really well, and the ladies are standing tall again. But more in the update.

Canna-Lytiker Today, after a week of the vegetative phase, the ladies look great. This also marks the start of the flowering stage. Let's check out the stretch and see what the next weeks bring. I'm also trying out the Plagron series for the first time with the ladies. You'll learn more soon on YouTube with the introduction of the two ladies 🏻

Canna-Lytiker Everything is running smoothly! After about a week, the stretch is clearly visible. And so far, I'm optimistic that we won't hit the ceiling. What I didn't expect, and I can only attribute this to Power Buds, is that I have so many small flower clusters in the shade, as if the plant doesn't know where to put all the juice! This is a really tough jungle and it's going to be a lot of work when lollipopping! Still kind of awesome though! The watermelon is definitely denser in leaf mass. Here and there, I’ve been removing small leaves. Otherwise, I'm letting nature take its course 😅 What’s new and important - the Space-Bumper from vivosun! If you compare the pictures... it's crazy how much space they save when the vacuum doesn't squash everything together! 😍
