watered with about 4 cups of tap water this week. Topped her on day 18. Noticed she started showing pistils the next day so flower is just around the corner.
Watered to runoff 2 times this week, just under 1/2 gallon each watering. One was a feeding and the other was plain tap water. Started flowing near the end of the week on day 25.
Watered 2 times this week, just under half a gallon each watering. First watering was with nutrients and second was plain tap water. Added the trellis net so she can start growing through it. It probably will not be a true scrog but using the net as a support system for LST.
Day 35-36. Watered with just under .5 gallon of water this week and noticed she started drooping really bad (didnt get a picture). Tested water with PPM meter and my tap water is around 36 ppm. Did a flush and added .5 tsp cal-mag to tap water. Next day she was back up to normal and has stayed that way all week. Now that I know my tap water has a low PPM I will be adding a small amount of cal-mag to every watering.
Day 39. I'm assuming by the stretch (or lack of) this is going to stay a small bushy plant. Looking around I see it's common for the amnesia autos. Won't be scrog but the net has help spread out what is there. Did a large amount of defoliation exposed bud sites and cut big fan leaves not getting any light.
Day 40. Watered with ¼ teaspoon Cal-mag in half gallon of water. Ph 6.75, ppm 270
I accidentally deleted a full week of data along with probably getting some of the days mixed up with my pictures. The website was getting a bit stuck. In the last week I added a 100w hlg QB to the tent and dimmed it down about 70 watts. She has completely stopped stretching and buds are starting to develop. I'm very excited to see the difference growing with a quantum board. Things should be more accurate again from day 48 on.
June 9, Day 48-22f. Watered with just under half gallon of water to runoff. Mix in ¼ tsp cal-mag, ¼ tsp tiger bloom, 1 tsp big bloom. Ph 6.2 and ppm 428.
June 11, Day 50-24F. Just giving her a check over today. Still got some leaves with a small amount of claw so I know the FFOF soil is still pretty hot. Bud development looks to be taking off now and they looking nice and dense to me so far. Huge very dry heat wave passing though this week and it has been hard to keep the tent under 80 with RH 40-45%. 😰
June 12, Day 51-25F. Noticing a few of the bigger fan leaves with rust color spots starting to form. Possibly signs of early Calcium deficiency. I have only been feeding about 1/4-1/2 strength cal-mag. I will need to water tomorrow and will up to a full dose for this next watering.
June 13, Day 52-26F. Upped the dose of cal-mag in the watering today. Used ½ tsp cal-mag to half gallon of water. Ph'd at 6.3 and ppm 245. Will need to keep a close eye for any more clawing leaves
June 14, Day 53-27F. On closer inspection it looks like she is suffering from phosphorus deficiency. Next watering I will up the feeding again up too 800-1000 PPM with bloom nutes. Will try and remember to take some pictures of the leaves this weekend.
July 15, Day 54-28f. Watered a few days early, hopefully doesn't hurt her to much. Upped the feeding to 1000 ppm with ¼ tsp cal-mag, 1 tsp tiger bloom and 3 tsp big bloom. Ph'd at 6.54.
Deficiencies are still slowly spreading but hopefully some decent feedings will start to slow and eventually stop progress. More details to come this week.
July 19, Day 58 - 32 F. After the heavy feeding and extra watering I did, I waited until the big fan leaves drooped before watering again. Watered with cal-mag, ppm 225, ph 6.5.
July 20, Day 59 - 33 F. Removed some of the affected fan leaves that have started officially turning yellow.
June 22, Day 61 - 35 F. Watered with ¼ tsp cal-mag, 1 tsp tiger bloom and 3 tsp big bloom. Ph'd at 6.5. Forgot to measure the ppm but should be around 1000.
Day 62 - 36 F. Have to leave the plant to the wife for a week. Still trying to work through a few issues but can't do it while I'm out. Let's just hope for the best. Buds are developing nicely week by week still. Lowering humidity down this week to between 40-45% as best as possible.
Day 65 - 39 F. Watered with cal-mag, ppm 220, ph 6.7. Also, removed 4 larger fan leaves that were finally starting to die off.
June 30, Day 69 - 43 F. Watered with ¼ tsp cal-mag, 1 tsp tiger bloom and 3 tsp big bloom. Ph'd at 6.8, ppm 1049. She is still pushing along, I think she will make it until the end without an early harvest. Even with the couple problems I had, she seems to be pulling through.
June 4, Day 73 - 46 F. Watered with cal-mag, ppm 222, ph 6.5. Did a small flush with this water to clear out some of the built up salts. I think she will be done quicker than anticipated. The colors are changing and the smell is getting much stronger but will just have to play by ear.
June 8, Day 77 - 50 F, watered with ¼ tsp cal-mag, 1 tsp tiger bloom and 3 tsp big bloom. Ph'd at 6.7, ppm 990. Really starting to change colors and coming to an end faster than I thought. Lots of cloudy trichomes but still lacking amber.
June 11, Day 80 - 53 F, checked trichomes with jewelers loupe and there was far more amber then I thought. There is good 10 percent amber already! Going to go ahead and harvest this weekend.
Grow went pretty good. She seemed a little sensitive to feeding but it worked out in the end. The plant ended up finishing way sooner then expected but packed some nice dense buds. The buds had a citrus smell to them and when ground, ended up smelling like a lemon balm. When in use, I get a surprisingly chill high from it, not as heady as described but not quite couch locked.
It took me a bit to get back to updating this to the fullest but I think I got it all now. Overall the grow was good. I wouldn't suggest topping this strain from Canuk because it already grows very short. Its quick to mature, so topping it doesn't give it enough time to recover unless the growth is very vigorous. Topping might be better suited for hydro or coco coir grow instead of soil. It didn't seem to take heavy feeds to well at first and I had some nutrient problems through the grow and flushed it twice . Overall the end product still turned out good with nice dense buds and for being only 8 inches tall, 35 grams is pretty good. When you grind this up for use, you get a wonderful citrus and lemon smell with an earthy undertone.😊 I found that it gave a good head high that kept me energetic during one use. After a long hard day, I did notice it gave me a bit more body buzz that made me want to chill out on the couch while still keeping that head high. 😵 It was a fun grow and smells awesome but not my preferred medicine.
She's gorgeous! I hope my buds will look like yours in a week or so. I just started trying lst and hope I'll be able to keep my plants low like that for next time.
@Alpaca, LST is the safest route but you still always gotta be careful. I usually go a little at a time and make it a daily process. If you start early when she is about 3-5 nodes, that is best because she is still pretty bendy.
@Alpaca, thanks she is pretty stubby but I topped her which stunted her a bit more. I wasn't expecting it to flower so fast though because I was hoping to get a nice scrog. Instead I just kept the net in for some lazy lst and as support for later in flower. Your plants are looking good too. Happy growing!!
Looking good ... Just got done harvesting a Northern Lights Auto & a AK-49 Auto myself. Currently waiting on my White Widow Auto to finish up. I wish you the same success.Good luck with the rest of your grow
Great grow! I have one just coming into flower. Seems to be the shorter denser type like yours. Tried to LST her but the node length is so short that it is really difficult to open up her structure. Looks like you did well! Thank you for the inspiration.
@Puffer_Bill, thanks!
1. It took 24 hours to germinate in paper towel. Then I planted it and took about 3 days to pop out of the soil.
2. I pre-soaked my soil to runoff and let it sit while I was germinating the seed. then I planted it in the soil and put a plastic dome over it. It worked out well and the first time I tried it this way.
3. I have done 3 grows now, just single plants. This looks like it will be my most successful so far but only time will tell as it goes through the process to harvest.
@Puffer_Bill, I have a small vivosun oscillating fan and it is blowing just above the plant. Enough to get a nice breeze and you can see it blowing in the wind. The marshydro LED is a bit on the hot side, so it really helps with the heat. I am awaiting my HLG 100w quantum board.
@Puffer_Bill, Yes, was hoping to do scrog but she flowered so fast there, it's just not gonna happen. Net will still be good support as the buds get fat and I can use it to tie her as needed. Really short and bushy for a sativa, resembles more of an indica.
@Drako921, yes I will update all the way to the end. It's comming soon too. Possibly this weekend already. She really started changing colors this week and I'll be adding my new week update probably today. This is my 3rd plant but first time trying grow diaries.
Hi, thanks for your visit. Your plant is beautiful, looks healthy, but I think your pot is a little small, I tried in pots of 7L (2 gal) in the past and the plant is smaller and the harvest a little less well.. Today I use pots of 11l (3gal) and the plant grows better, abundant harvest and big buds. 😉
@Servietsky,I appreciate you trying to be helpful however I grow in 2 gals for a legit reason. If you ultimately new the size of my grow space, you would understand the logic of why I grow in 2 gal pots. This is a stubby lady compared to my northern lights grows which were almost too big for my tent in the pots so I have no issue with the size of plant I get. Happy growing!! Nice plants.
