Mother Run! Ocean OG & Bubba Kush

StonedSage Decided to run the mothers after taking the last clones and will use a clone of each strain to start new mothers. Up-potted from 5 to 7 gallons before flipping straight to flower. This is obviously week 4 of flower, but I figured better now then not at all. Tent is split diagonally. Front left is the Ocean OG from Robin Hood Seeds. Back Right is Bubba Kush from Seedsman.

StonedSage Terps are strong! Buds are starting to fatten up. Getting excited for the coming harvest! Ocean OG keeps fading out nicely. Both plants have great smells. There's just nothing like that bubba smell.

StonedSage I'm getting excited for this one! The Ocean OG fade is very pretty so far. Hoping to start seeing some of it in the bud. The terps are still just heaven! Everything is fattening up and stacking! Hopefully more of that to come, as I know it dries down to be a lot less impressive. But still a fun run so far!

StonedSage They're getting fat and smelling ripe! The bubba looks like it's putting on more weight from what I can tell, but we'll see what the answer is after I'm through the dry process in a few weeks!

StonedSage Looking through the jewelers loupe, I doubt either plant will be ready at week 9, but we'll see. I would say the Bubba is closer than the Ocean OG. Great smells all around though!

StonedSage Week 9 begins! The loupe says there's still more time to go, but they're all really close! Plenty of milky trichs present, but not many/any ambers. Maybe that will change by the end of the week. We'll see. I don't want to rush the ending and leave quality gains on the table.

StonedSage I'm already past the dry period. Harvest is in cure now. Wasn't sure how these harvest week posts worked. Not sure the value of capturing the wet bud weight. But my dry weight off of the one plant was 2 oz and 15 grams. This run was my first attempt at soil, outside of auto flowers. It's a different learning curve for sure from DWC. If I do it again, I think I'll want the autopot system to help with watering since I seem to either over or under water everything. I will want to look into soil amendments as well so I can get away from mixing up a bunch of fertilizers into the watering can.

StonedSage Wound up with 3 oz on the dot. Not gang busters for numbers, but that much off of one soil grown plant is acceptable to me considering my lack of experience with the medium.
