## Germination Week | Every Storm Passes
Hello GrowDiaries family! ๐๐ฑ
Welcome to another new journey.
As some of you may have noticed, I've recently adjusted the way I document my grows. With the current photo limitations on GrowDiaries, each phenotype now receives its own dedicated diary whenever possible, allowing me to continue documenting every stage of development while selecting the best photographs from each week.
The goal remains exactly the same as always:
To create an honest, educational, and complete record from seed to harvest while sharing observations, successes, mistakes, lessons learned, and everything in between.
Today, we begin following Candy Rain Auto.
And like some of the previous diaries in this project, this one begins with a lesson.
---
## Not Every Seed Makes It
The original plan for Candy Rain Auto was exactly the same as the rest of the garden.
Same environment.
Same methodology.
Same equipment.
Same care.
Yet growing has a way of reminding us that there is always something new to learn.
The first attempt did not succeed.
Looking back, I believe I likely overwatered the coco starter plug during the earliest stages.
The seed germinated, but never established itself properly.
Sometimes that's all it takes.
A little too much moisture.
Not enough oxygen.
And the seedling never quite finds its footing.
Mistakes happen.
Every grower experiences them.
The important thing is learning from them and moving forward.
---
## A Second Attempt
Rather than giving up on the genetic, I decided to try again.
A second Candy Rain Auto seed was placed into the Cannakan germination system.
The result was exactly what we hoped to see.
Fast germination.
Healthy taproot.
Strong emergence.
Good vigor.
This time I decided to skip the coco starter plug entirely.
Instead, the seed was planted directly into Plagron Lightmix after germination.
Sometimes the best adjustment is the simplest one.
The seedling responded beautifully and quickly emerged ready to begin her journey.
---
## Germination Using the Cannakan System
For germination I used the same Cannakan system employed throughout this project.
The concept is simple and effective.
The seed was placed inside using only plain water.
No nutrients.
No additives.
No stimulants.
Just water.
Within approximately 24 hours a healthy taproot had emerged and the seed was ready for planting.
Simple.
Clean.
Reliable.
Exactly what we hope to see from healthy genetics.
---
## Why Only Water?
One question that often appears during germination is:
"Why not feed the seed immediately?"
The answer remains simple.
The seed already contains everything required for its first stage of life.
Inside that shell are the energy reserves needed to establish roots and begin development.
At this stage, I prefer allowing the seed to use those natural reserves exactly as intended.
The objective is not to feed the plant.
The objective is simply to wake it up.
Water is enough.
Nature already prepared the rest.
---
## Environmental Conditions
Environmental conditions remained intentionally simple and stable.
Temperatures stayed around 26โ27ยฐC.
Humidity was maintained between approximately 65โ70% using a Spider Farmer humidifier.
Rather than keeping seedlings inside extremely humid conditions for extended periods, I prefer introducing them relatively early to the environment they will actually experience throughout their life cycle.
The objective is adaptation.
Not dependence.
Airflow remained extremely gentle.
Just enough movement to keep fresh air circulating without creating unnecessary stress.
---
## Lighting
Lighting during germination remained intentionally soft.
Young seedlings simply do not require intense light levels at this stage.
The goal is healthy establishment rather than rapid growth.
Once properly established, this girl will move under the Future Of Grow Black Series 600W full-spectrum LED system where the next stage of development begins.
For now, healthy roots and healthy growth remain the priorities.
---
## First Observations
Despite the initial setback, the second attempt progressed beautifully.
Fast germination.
Healthy taproot.
Strong emergence.
Healthy color.
Good vigor.
And perhaps most importantly:
A successful recovery.
Sometimes a grow begins exactly as planned.
Sometimes it begins with a lesson.
This one happened to begin with both.
---
## Looking Ahead
Over the coming weeks we'll follow Candy Rain Auto through every stage of development.
We'll document:
- Root establishment
- Early growth
- Environmental management
- Watering practices
- Structural development
- Flowering progression
- And whatever unique characteristics this plant chooses to reveal
Because every seed carries potential.
And sometimes all that potential needs is a second opportunity.
Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone following along for another seed-to-harvest adventure.
Grower's Love everyone. ๐ฑ๐
And who knows?
Maybe after a little rain, we'll get something sweet. ๐ฌ

Week 1 Vegetation | After the Rain Comes Growth
Hello GrowDiaries family! ๐๐ฑ
Welcome back to the Candy Rain Auto diary.
Last weekโs update told the story of a second chance.
After losing the first seedling during the earliest stages, this genetic was given another opportunity, and thankfully that decision is already proving worthwhile.
Sometimes growing teaches us through success.
Sometimes it teaches us through mistakes.
And sometimes the most rewarding plants are the ones that make us try again.
This week marks the beginning of that new chapter.
โธป
From Germination to Establishment
Following successful germination and direct planting into Plagron Lightmix, Candy Rain Auto spent the week focusing on what every young plant should be doing:
Building roots.
Although most of the action happens beneath the soil surface, the photographs clearly show steady progress above ground as well.
Each day brought a little more growth.
A little more leaf development.
A little more confidence.
By the end of the week, the seedling had established itself successfully and was beginning the transition from simple survival into active vegetative growth.
For a plant that started this journey on a second attempt, thatโs exactly what we hoped to see.
โธป
Transplanting Into Her Final Home
Like several of the other plants in this project, Candy Rain Auto was transplanted directly into her final container early in life.
The objective is simple.
Rather than forcing multiple transplant events throughout the grow, the plant can establish its root system immediately within the volume of substrate it will use for the remainder of its life.
This minimizes stress and allows energy to remain focused on development rather than recovery.
At this stage, what we see above the soil is only part of the story.
The real work is happening underneath.
โธป
The Hidden World Beneath the Soil
One of the most important additions during transplant was the application of mycorrhizal fungi.
Many growers hear the term โmycorrhizaโ but may not fully understand what it does.
The relationship is actually one of natureโs most fascinating partnerships.
Mycorrhizal fungi form a symbiotic connection with plant roots.
As the fungi colonize the root zone, they extend microscopic networks far beyond the reach of the roots themselves.
Think of it as adding thousands of tiny extensions to the plantโs underground infrastructure.
These fungal networks help improve access to:
* Water
* Phosphorus
* Micronutrients
* Trace elements
* Soil biology interactions
In exchange, the plant provides carbohydrates produced through photosynthesis.
Both organisms benefit.
Itโs one of natureโs oldest and most successful partnerships.
For young plants, establishing this relationship early can help create a stronger foundation for future development.
While we cannot directly see those fungal networks working underground, the goal is to create a healthy living rhizosphere that supports the plant throughout its entire life cycle.
โธป
Environmental Conditions
Environmental conditions remained stable throughout the week:
๐ก๏ธ Day temperature: 27ยฐC
๐ Night temperature: 25ยฐC
๐ง Relative humidity: 55%
โก Light schedule: 12/12 from seed
๐ฑ Plagron nutrient program
๐ก Future Of Grow Black Series LED lighting
๐จ Gentle airflow and stable environmental control
Consistency remains one of the most important factors during early development.
Young plants respond exceptionally well when conditions remain predictable and stress-free.
โธป
Early Development
Despite being younger than some of her sisters due to the restart, Candy Rain Auto spent the week making steady progress.
Leaf color remained healthy.
Stem development remained strong.
Growth stayed compact and balanced.
Each new photograph shows a little more confidence as the plant begins to settle into her environment.
The first true leaves are developing nicely, and the newest growth emerging from the center indicates that root establishment is progressing exactly as intended.
At this stage, patience is often rewarded.
Healthy roots today become vigorous growth tomorrow.
โธป
A Reminder About Second Chances
One of the things I enjoy most about documenting grows honestly is showing that mistakes happen.
The first Candy Rain Auto never made it.
That is simply part of cultivation.
But instead of ending the story there, we adjusted the approach, learned from the experience, and tried again.
This plant now stands as a reminder that one unsuccessful attempt doesnโt define the outcome.
Sometimes success arrives on the second try.
โธป
First Impressions
So far, Candy Rain Auto is doing exactly what a healthy young plant should be doing.
Strong emergence.
Healthy color.
Steady growth.
Successful root establishment.
And a promising partnership already developing beneath the soil through the mycorrhizal network.
Most importantly, sheโs proving that the second attempt was absolutely worth it.
โธป
Looking Ahead
The foundation has now been established.
Over the coming weeks weโll continue documenting her development under the 12/12-from-seed project while monitoring structure, vigor, growth rate, and any unique characteristics she chooses to reveal.
For now, the focus remains simple:
Build roots.
Build strength.
Build momentum.
Because after every storm comes growth.
And after every rain, sooner or later, the sun returns.
Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone following along on another seed-to-harvest adventure.

DogDoctorOfficial Week 2 - Vegetation | Candy Rain Auto
Hello everyone, and welcome back to another update from the 12/12 From Seed adventure.
Today weโre checking in on Candy Rain Auto, one of the single-plant folders in this project and a cultivar that has had a slightly different start compared to some of her sisters.
For anyone joining the diary for the first time, this grow documents multiple Zamnesia cultivars grown side by side under a 12/12 From Seed approach. Most cultivars are represented by two phenotypes, but Candy Rain is one of the single-plant entries, making every observation particularly valuable as we follow her development from seed to harvest.
Before diving into this weekโs progress, itโs worth mentioning why Candy Rain currently appears a little smaller than many of the other plants in the room.
The difference isnโt dramatic, but she is running a few days behind the more advanced phenotypes. In a project where growth is documented daily and plants are photographed constantly, even a small timing difference becomes very noticeable. A few extra days at this stage can make a surprisingly large visual difference between plants.
Fortunately, what weโre seeing isnโt a problemโitโs simply a different starting pace.
Throughout Week 2, Candy Rain continued establishing herself and showed steady, healthy development. The stem remains upright, the foliage displays a healthy green coloration, and the newest growth is emerging exactly as expected for a plant at this stage of life.
While some of her sisters are already pushing further into vegetative development, Candy Rain is focusing on building a solid foundation first. Root development, early leaf expansion, and establishment inside the final container are currently the priorities, and she appears to be handling each of those tasks beautifully.
One thing that makes this update particularly interesting is that Candy Rain is receiving the same feeding program as the rest of the room despite her slightly smaller size.
The reasoning is simple.
Managing multiple separate feeding schedules inside a large multi-cultivar project can quickly become complicated, and consistency often produces better results than constantly chasing individual adjustments. Rather than creating a completely separate nutrient regime, Candy Rain has been following the same balanced approach as her sisters while being monitored closely for any signs of stress.
So far, she seems perfectly comfortable with that decision.
Current nutrition consists of:
โข Plagron Terra Grow for vegetative development
โข Power Roots to encourage strong root establishment
โข Pure Zym to support a healthy substrate environment
โข Sugar Royal as part of the overall cultivation strategy throughout the cycle
Despite being slightly younger developmentally, the plant continues responding positively to the feeding program. Leaf color remains healthy, growth remains active, and no obvious signs of nutrient excess are visible at this stage.
One of the most important lessons in cultivation is understanding that plants donโt all develop according to the same timeline. Sometimes growers become concerned when comparing one plant to another, but comparison only tells part of the story.
What matters most is whether the plant is moving forward.
And Candy Rain is absolutely moving forward.
Each day brings a little more leaf mass, a little more stem development, and a little more confidence. The foundation is being built, and thatโs exactly what we want to see during these early stages.
If anything, this slight delay makes her story even more interesting. Watching a plant catch up and develop its own rhythm is often one of the most rewarding parts of documenting a grow from beginning to end.
For now, the plan remains simple: maintain stable environmental conditions, continue the current feeding program, monitor development closely, and allow Candy Rain to continue finding her pace naturally.
Overall, Week 2 has been a positive and encouraging week. She may be one of the smaller plants in the room right now, but she is healthy, active, and steadily progressing in the right direction.
And sometimes thatโs exactly how great plants begin.
Thank you to everyone following along, supporting the diary, sharing knowledge, and helping make this community such an incredible place to learn and grow together.
A special thank you as always to Zamnesia for the genetics, Plagron for the nutrition, and to every grower documenting their journey alongside us.
Until next week, growers love and happy growing everyone. ๐ฑ๐

DogDoctorOfficial ๐ฑ Folder 09 | Candy Rain Auto
Week 1 โ Finding Her Rhythm
Welcome to the first chapter of Candy Rain Auto in the 8ร8 Adventure.
Unlike many of her neighbors, Candy Rain didnโt have the easiest start. She entered the room a few days later than the rest of the project, immediately placing herself at a slight disadvantage on paper. But plants donโt read calendars, and every phenotype writes its own story.
The purpose of the 8ร8 Adventure has always been exactly this: documenting every individual plant honestly, allowing each genetic to express itself naturally under identical conditions. There are no races here. Every plant is given the same opportunity to demonstrate what it is capable of.
Already during this first week, Candy Rain is proving that patience is often rewarded. While initially producing only simple juvenile leaves, she quickly transitioned into healthy three-finger leaves, with each new set arriving larger, wider and noticeably more vigorous than the last.
The journey has only just begun.
โธป
๐ฟ Grow Environment
The entire room remains carefully controlled to provide every cultivar with the same stable environment.
Environmental Conditions
* ๐ก๏ธ Day Temperature: 27ยฐC
* ๐ Night Temperature: 25ยฐC
* ๐ง Relative Humidity: 55%
* ๐ฑ Substrate Temperature: 21ยฐC
* ๐ฆ Nutrient Solution Temperature: 20ยฐC
* โก EC: 1.3
* pH: 6.0
* ๐จ COโ: 666 ppm
* ๐ก Light Cycle: 12 / 12 From Seed
* ? Pot Size: 15 Litres
Because Candy Rain emerged slightly later than the rest of the room, irrigation has been adjusted specifically to her needs. Rather than following the volume given to the larger plants, watering remains concentrated around the young root zone, encouraging the roots to actively search through the substrate while avoiding unnecessary saturation.
โธป
๐ฟ Nutrition
Candy Rain is receiving exactly the same Plagron Terra program as the rest of the garden, simply scaled appropriately for her stage of development.
Feeding Schedule
* Terra Grow โ 1.8 ml/L
* Power Roots โ 1 ml/L
* Pure Zym โ 1 ml/L
* Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
* pH Plus โ adjusted when necessary
* Lemon Kick โ adjusted when necessary
The objective during these first weeks isnโt rapid top growthโitโs establishing a healthy root system capable of supporting explosive development once flowering begins.
A strong foundation always pays dividends later.
โธป
๐ฑ Plant Development
Watching this weekโs progression has been incredibly satisfying.
The earliest photographs show a delicate young seedling still carrying its juvenile characteristics. By the end of the week, however, the transformation is obvious.
The stem has thickened considerably.
Leaf spacing has become more symmetrical.
The newest growth appears increasingly vigorous.
Most encouraging of all is the transition into beautifully formed three-finger leaves, signalling that the plant has fully entered active vegetative development. Each new node displays noticeably more energy than the previous one, suggesting that the initial establishment period is already behind her.
Despite being the smallest plant in the room, she doesnโt appear weak. Quite the oppositeโshe appears determined.
โธป
๐ธ Behind This Weekโs Photos
Sometimes the smallest plants create the most rewarding photographs.
The early overhead images capture a tiny seedling standing almost alone within a large container, emphasizing just how much potential still lies beneath the surface.
As the week progresses, every photograph tells a different story. The side profiles reveal a stem becoming stronger each day, while the overhead shots beautifully document the increasing symmetry of the canopy.
One of my favorite moments is seeing those first fully developed three-finger leaves spreading confidently across the frame. Theyโre small, but perfectly formed, and they represent the moment where Candy Rain truly begins her journey.
Macro photography reminds us that growth doesnโt always happen dramatically. Sometimes the biggest victories are measured in millimetres.
โธป
๐ฟ Looking Forward
Next week should be particularly exciting.
With the root system now becoming established, I expect noticeably faster vertical growth, larger fan leaves and shorter intervals between new nodes. The gap separating Candy Rain from the rest of the room should gradually begin to shrink.
Autos often surprise us with sudden bursts of development once they settle into their final containers, and there are already signs that she may be preparing for exactly that.
Her story isnโt about catching up.
Itโs about revealing what sheโs capable of.
โธป
๐ Thank You
As always, thank you to every single person following this adventure.
Whether youโve been here since day one or youโve only just discovered this diary, your encouragement, feedback and conversations are what make documenting every week so rewarding. This project isnโt simply about growing plantsโitโs about learning together, sharing experiences and celebrating every stage of the journey.
A huge thank you to GrowDiaries for providing a platform where growers from all over the world can learn from one another and document their passion.
My sincere thanks also go to Plagron for providing the Terra nutrient line that is powering this entire 8ร8 Adventure. Their products continue to deliver consistency, simplicity and reliability throughout every stage of growth.
Finally, thank you to the incredible breeders whose genetics make projects like this possible. Every seed carries its own personality, and watching those differences unfold under identical conditions is one of the most fascinating parts of this journey.
And of courseโฆ
Growers Love and,
Thank you for taking the time to follow along.
One week at a time.
One photograph at a time.
One plant at a time.
The 8ร8 Adventure is only just getting started. ๐ฑ๐

Candy Rain โ Plant A | Week 4
The Little Survivor
Every grow tells a different story, and sometimes the most memorable stories begin with unexpected setbacks.
Welcome back to the 8ร8 Adventure, a project dedicated to exploring multiple genetics grown 12/12 From Seed inside the same flowering environment. The goal is simple: document every phenotype individually, compare their development under identical conditions, and learn something new from every plant along the way.
Folder 09 follows our Candy Rain.
Unfortunately, she is the only survivor from this batch. The other seeds didnโt make it, and thatโs entirely on us. Growing is a journey of constant learning, and sometimes the greatest lessons come from the mistakes we make. Rather than seeing it as a failure, weโve chosen to give this little lady all of our attention and let her show us exactly what sheโs capable of.
Every plant deserves the opportunity to tell its own story.
โธป
๐ฟ The 8ร8 Adventure
This entire project is being grown inside our dedicated 8ร8 flowering tent, where every cultivar begins life immediately under a 12 hours ON / 12 hours OFF light schedule.
There is no long vegetative period.
Instead, every plant develops naturally from seed while already living under flowering conditions, creating unique structures, shorter internodal spacing and allowing us to compare how different genetics react to exactly the same environment.
Although every plant shares the same room, nutrients and lighting, each phenotype expresses itself differently. Thatโs exactly why each folder documents a single plant from start to finish.
Candy Rain is proving that point perfectly.
โธป
๐ก๏ธ Environment
Despite summer temperatures continuing to challenge the room, the environment has remained remarkably stable.
Week 4 Conditions
โข Light Schedule: 12/12
โข Day Temperature: 33ยฐC
โข Night Temperature: 25ยฐC
โข Relative Humidity: 63%
โข pH: 6.1
โข EC: 1.35 mS/cm
โข COโ: 639 ppm
โข Pot Size: 15 L
Even with daytime temperatures reaching 33ยฐC, the plants continue responding well thanks to stable humidity, strong air circulation and careful environmental management.
Consistency is often far more important than chasing perfect numbers.
โธป
๐ง Feeding Programme
Candy Rain receives the same balanced Plagron feeding programme as the rest of the room.
Current solution per litre:
โข Terra Grow โ 1.8 ml/L
โข Power Roots โ 1 ml/L
โข Pure Zym โ 1 ml/L
โข Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
The solution is adjusted to pH 6.1, maintaining nutrient availability while supporting healthy root development throughout this early stage.
Because this plant is hand-watered, every irrigation becomes another opportunity to inspect the substrate, monitor water consumption and observe her development closely.
โธป
๐ฑ Development
From the very beginning it became clear that this Candy Rain is developing differently from many of the other plants in the room.
She remains significantly smaller, with a naturally compact structure and shorter internodal spacing. While several of her neighbours have already begun stretching into flower, this phenotype seems to prefer building slowly, producing tight growth and a sturdy main stem before committing to vertical expansion.
Sometimes 12/12 From Seed reveals exactly these kinds of differences.
Certain cultivars explode almost immediately, while others seem to take their time adapting before accelerating later in flower.
At this point there is nothing suggesting poor health.
Quite the opposite.
Her new growth is vibrant, symmetrical and full of life. Every node develops cleanly, her stem continues to strengthen and the fresh growth emerging from the centre has a beautiful healthy colour.
Sheโs simply telling her own story at her own pace.
โธป
๐ A Small Setback
One detail worth mentioning this week is the damage visible on a few of the older fan leaves.
After careful observation, the injury doesnโt resemble a nutritional problem. The new growth remains completely unaffected and the damaged areas are isolated to only a handful of older leaves.
The most likely explanation is mechanical wind damage.
With strong airflow inside the flowering room, larger fan leaves can occasionally fold onto themselves or vibrate continuously in the same position. Over time this creates dry, burnt-looking patches that may resemble nutrient issues but are actually simple physical damage.
Because the affected leaves arenโt getting worse and the new growth remains perfect, no corrective feeding changes were necessary.
Sometimes the best decision is simply to observe instead of reacting.
โธป
๐ Gentle Training
Training remains intentionally minimal.
Rather than removing healthy foliage, we continue relying on leaf tucking to expose developing shoots to the available light.
By carefully moving larger fan leaves beneath the canopy, lower branches receive more light without reducing the plantโs photosynthetic capacity.
This gentle approach allows the plant to continue building energy while maintaining as much healthy foliage as possible during these early stages.
Patience often produces better results than unnecessary intervention.
โธป
๐ฑ Looking Forward
Although Candy Rain currently appears to be one of the smallest plants inside the 8ร8 tent, that certainly doesnโt mean sheโll stay that way.
Some phenotypes invest heavily in root development before accelerating above the soil. Others naturally remain compact throughout their entire life while producing exceptionally dense flowers.
Thatโs exactly why projects like this are so enjoyable.
Every phenotype becomes its own little experiment.
Whatever path this Candy Rain decides to follow, sheโll receive exactly the same care, patience and attention as every other plant in the room.
Because every seed deserves the opportunity to reach its full potential.
โธป
๐ Final Thoughts
Growing has a funny way of keeping us humble.
Sometimes everything goes according to plan.
Sometimes we lose seeds.
Sometimes one little survivor becomes the most interesting plant in the room.
Thatโs exactly why we document every stage honestlyโthe successes, the mistakes and everything in between. Every experience teaches something valuable, and every diary becomes another chapter in the journey.
A massive thank you to everyone following the 8ร8 Adventure. Your encouragement, advice and shared passion for growing make these journals far more meaningful than they would ever be on their own.
Huge thanks to Zamnesia for the genetics, Plagron for the incredible nutrition keeping this garden healthy, Future of Grow LEDs for providing the light that powers every day of this project, and to the entire GrowDiaries team and community for giving growers around the world a place to learn, share and inspire one another.
As always, thank you for stopping by, for reading, and for growing alongside me.
Until next weekโฆ

DogDoctorOfficial ๐ฌ Candy Rain Auto by Zamnesia | Week 5 (Late Vegetative Growth / Pre-Flower)
๐ฌ The Solo Survivor โ Small Setback, Big Future
Every grow has a story, and not every story begins perfectly.
Candy Rain is the only survivor from this folder. Losing her sister early in the project was entirely on me, and thatโs simply part of growing. Every mistake becomes another lesson, and rather than focusing on what was lost, this diary celebrates the plant that kept pushing forward.
Despite her delayed start, sheโs proving that healthy genetics and a stable environment can overcome a rough beginning remarkably quickly. Sheโs only a few days behind the rest of the room, yet every day she seems determined to close that gap.
This project continues documenting how autoflowers perform under a true 12/12 From Seed schedule from germination, challenging the common belief that this lighting regime prevents vigorous development. Supported by the complete Plagron feeding program, grown under the Future of Grow Black Series LED, and thriving inside the Zamnesia-sponsored 8ร8 Adventure, Candy Rain is becoming another reminder that every plant deserves its own opportunity to shine.
And this weekโฆ
She absolutely deserves her spotlight.
โธป
๐ฑ Week 5 โ Catching Up Fast
Although Iโm still considering this her final week of vegetative growth for reporting purposes, the plant clearly finished the week entering pre-flower.
Fresh pistils are now appearing at the top growth, and the transition toward bloom is well underway. Rather than exploding into stretch overnight, Candy Rain is making the change gradually while continuing to build a sturdy framework for flowering.
At around 60 cm tall, she isnโt the largest plant in the room, but sheโs beautifully proportioned. The internodal spacing is excellent, the main stem continues thickening nicely, and every branch is positioning itself to receive strong light as flowering progresses.
Sometimes the smaller plants end up becoming the easiest ones to manage, and sheโs developing exactly that kind of balanced architecture.
โธป
๐ฟ Training & Plant Development
Training has remained simple and gentle throughout the grow.
Low Stress Training has helped open the canopy while preserving the plantโs natural structure. Combined with regular leaf repositioning, this has allowed light to reach developing side branches without introducing unnecessary stress.
One thing visible this week is some damage on a few older leaves.
This isnโt something Iโm concerned about. Between the early setbacks, a little environmental stress from airflow, and perhaps my own learning moments while dialing everything in, a handful of leaves have certainly seen better days.
The important part is what the plant is telling me now.
The newest growth is emerging vibrant, healthy, and beautifully green, showing that the current conditions are exactly where they need to be. Rather than chasing cosmetic perfection on older leaves, Iโm paying attention to the fresh growthโand thatโs looking fantastic.
Healthy new growth always tells the real story.
โธป
๐ง Nutrition & Irrigation
Although this report still closes the vegetative chapter, the plant has already begun receiving the same flowering transition feed as the rest of the room.
Current feeding:
โข Terra Grow โ 1.9 ml/L
โข Terra Bloom โ 1.9 ml/L
โข Pure Zym โ 1 ml/L
โข Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
โข Power Roots โ 1 ml/L
โข Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
The transition has been smooth, with an EC around 1.83, pH maintained at 6.05.
No signs of nutrient deficiencies are developing in the new growth, giving me confidence that the plant has recovered completely from her slower beginning.
Sheโs now receiving exactly what the rest of the room is receivingโand sheโs responding beautifully.
โธป
๐ก๏ธ Environment
Environmental conditions continue providing a stable ecosystem for every plant inside the tent.
* Day temperature: 31.1ยฐC
* Night temperature: 25ยฐC
* Relative humidity: 72%
* Solution temperature: 21.6ยฐC
* Root zone temperature: 21ยฐC
* COโ: approximately 639 ppm
Even with the warm summer temperatures, the healthy root environment, excellent airflow, and consistent irrigation continue allowing the plants to grow vigorously while transitioning naturally into bloom.
The room continues doing exactly what itโs supposed to do.
โธป
๐ Looking Ahead
Next week marks the beginning of a completely new chapter.
The stretch should become much more noticeable as Candy Rain fully commits to flowering, and Iโm excited to see how her elegant structure begins filling with bud sites over the coming weeks.
Being only slightly behind the rest of the room really isnโt a concern anymore. In fact, she seems determined to catch up one day at a time, and with every new set of leaves sheโs reminding me that healthy plants donโt dwell on the pastโthey simply keep growing.
Iโm looking forward to watching those first flower clusters begin stacking along each branch.
โธป
๐ Final Thoughts
Not every plant starts life under perfect circumstances.
Sometimes the most rewarding grows are the ones that overcome early challenges and keep moving forward without looking back.
Candy Rain may be the solo survivor of this folder, but sheโs far from being โthe leftover.โ Sheโs becoming a beautiful example of resilience, proving that a slightly delayed start doesnโt define the final harvest.
Every week sheโs writing a better chapter than the last.
A huge thank you to Zamnesia for making this incredible project possible, Plagron for providing such reliable nutrition, Future of Grow for delivering outstanding lighting, and to everyone following this 8ร8 Adventure here on GrowDiaries.
Your support, comments, and shared passion for growing make these weekly updates something I genuinely look forward to creating.

DogDoctorOfficial ๐ฌ Candy Rain Auto by Zamnesia | Week 5 (Late Vegetative Growth / Pre-Flower)
๐ฌ The Patient One โ Growing at Her Own Pace
Every grow has a story, and not every story begins perfectly.
Candy Rain is the only survivor from this folder. Losing her sister early in the project was entirely on me, and that's simply part of growing. Every mistake becomes another lesson, and rather than focusing on what was lost, this diary celebrates the plant that kept pushing forward.
Despite her delayed start, she's proving that healthy genetics and a stable environment can overcome a rough beginning remarkably quickly. While she's developing a little more slowly than the rest of the room, each passing week brings noticeable progress, and she's steadily writing her own success story.
This project continues documenting how autoflowers perform under a true 12/12 From Seed schedule from germination, challenging the common belief that this lighting regime prevents vigorous development. Supported by the complete Plagron feeding program, grown under the Future of Grow Black Series LED, and thriving inside the Zamnesia-sponsored 8ร8 Adventure, Candy Rain is becoming another reminder that every plant deserves the opportunity to shine in her own time.
And this week...
She's beginning a brand-new chapter.
๐ฑ Week 5 โ No Rush, Just Progress
Although I'm still considering this her final week of vegetative growth for reporting purposes, the plant is clearly standing at the doorstep of flowering.
Fresh white pistils are appearing across the upper growth, signaling that the transition is now underway. Unlike some of her neighbors that stretched almost overnight, Candy Rain is making the change more gradually, continuing to strengthen her structure before committing all of her energy to flower production.
Standing around 69 cm tall, she's currently one of the smaller ladies in the room, but there's nothing weak about her. Her main stem has thickened beautifully, the branch spacing remains clean and open, and every new node seems ready to become a future flowering site.
She simply isn't in a hurry.
Sometimes the plants that take their time during vegetative growth surprise us once flowering truly begins, and I'm excited to discover whether Candy Rain has one of those stories waiting to unfold.
๐ฟ Training & Plant Development
Training has remained simple and stress-free throughout the grow.
Low Stress Training helped open the canopy early, while regular leaf repositioning continues allowing light to reach developing branches without removing healthy foliage.
A few of the older leaves still carry small scars from the early stages of the grow. Those marks are simply reminders that the beginning wasn't perfect.
The important part is what the plant is telling me today.
Every piece of fresh growth is emerging healthy, vibrant, and beautifully green. The stems continue strengthening, the canopy remains balanced, and new flowering sites appear a little larger with every passing day.
Older leaves tell yesterday's story.
New growth tells tomorrow's.
๐ง Nutrition & Irrigation
This week I made one intentional change.
Even though I'm still closing her vegetative chapter, Candy Rain has now joined the same feeding schedule as every other flowering plant inside the room.
Current feeding:
โข Terra Grow โ 1.9 ml/L
โข Terra Bloom โ 1.9 ml/L
โข Pure Zym โ 1 ml/L
โข Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
โข Power Roots โ 1 ml/L
โข Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
Rather than keeping her on a reduced vegetative program, I decided to support the transition she's already showing naturally.
With an EC around 1.78 and pH maintained at 6.0, she's accepted the new feeding schedule without showing any signs of stress. The newest growth remains healthy, the foliage stays richly green, and the plant appears completely comfortable with the nutritional change.
Now she's eating exactly like the rest of the room.
We'll see over the coming week whether that extra support helps her settle fully into flowering.
๐ก๏ธ Environment
The environment continues providing stable conditions throughout the flowering room:
Day temperature: 29ยฐC
Night temperature: 25ยฐC
Relative humidity: 60%
Solution temperature: 21ยฐC
Root zone temperature: 21ยฐC
COโ: approximately 639 ppm
Even during the warmer summer days, the healthy root zone, consistent irrigation, and excellent airflow continue allowing every plant to develop comfortably.
The ecosystem remains balanced, and Candy Rain seems perfectly happy within it.
๐ Looking Ahead
Next week should officially mark the beginning of flowering.
I'm expecting the stretch to become much more noticeable as hormones shift fully toward bloom, and it'll be fascinating to see whether she begins closing the gap between herself and the rest of the room.
Right now she may be the slowest plant in the tent, but she's also showing steady, healthy development every single week.
Sometimes patience is rewarded with something truly special.
For now, I'm simply letting her tell her own story.
๐ Final Thoughts
Not every plant follows the same schedule.
One of the most enjoyable parts of growing is learning to work with each individual plant instead of expecting every seed to perform exactly the same way.
Candy Rain has reminded me of that every week.
She isn't racing anyone.
She isn't trying to be the biggest.
She's simply growing at her own pace, building a healthy structure, and preparing for the next stage when she's ready.
Whether she finishes alongside the rest of the room or a little later, she has already earned her place in this project by showing that patience can be every bit as beautiful as speed.
A huge thank you to Zamnesia for making this incredible project possible, Plagron for providing consistently reliable nutrition, Future of Grow for delivering outstanding lighting, and to everyone following this 8ร8 Adventure here on GrowDiaries.
Your support, comments, and shared passion for growing make documenting every week an absolute pleasure.

๐ฌ The Little Engine That Could
Every grow has one plant that reminds us why patience is such an important part of this hobby.
Candy Rain continues to be that plant.
As the only survivor from this folder, she has quietly fought her way through a slower start while the rest of the room raced ahead. Losing her sister early in the project was entirely my mistake, but that's part of growing too. Every mistake teaches something valuable, and Candy Rain has become a wonderful reminder that healthy plants don't all follow the same timetable.
This week officially marks her first week of flowering.
While most of the room is already well established in bloom, Candy Rain has finally reached that exciting milestone, proving once again that genetics decide the paceโnot us.
This diary continues documenting how autoflowers perform under a true 12/12 From Seed schedule from germination. Supported by the complete Plagron feeding program, illuminated by the Future of Grow Black Series LED, complemented by the new Lumiflora under-canopy lighting, and thriving inside the Zamnesia-sponsored 8ร8 Adventure, Candy Rain continues writing her own unique story.
And honestly...
She's beginning to surprise me.
๐ฑ Week 1 Flower โ Finally Joining the Party
Only one week has passed since the transition began, yet the difference is already easy to see.
Standing at approximately 90 cm tall, she has enjoyed a healthy stretch during the past seven days, gaining over 20 cm while beginning to shift her energy fully toward flower production. She may still be one of the smaller plants in the room, but she's clearly making up for lost time.
Fresh white pistils now cover every growing tip, and the first real flower clusters are beginning to form across the canopy. Each day the bud sites become a little more defined, slowly transforming from simple nodes into the foundation of future colas.
The transition has been smooth, healthy, and exactly what I was hoping to see.
Sometimes all a plant needs is a little extra time.
๐ฟ Plant Development
Candy Rain has continued developing naturally with very little intervention.
Low Stress Training carried out earlier in her life has left her with an open structure, while simple leaf tucking continues exposing future flowering sites without removing valuable fan leaves.
There has still been no need for defoliation.
The canopy remains airy, branch spacing is excellent, and airflow throughout the plant couldn't be much better. New growth continues emerging vibrant and healthy, while the leaves display a beautiful deep green colour that tells me she's completely comfortable with her current environment.
Looking closely at the flowers, the first little crowns of white pistils are now appearing everywhere.
They're still tiny.
But every large cola starts exactly like this.
๐ง Feeding Program
Now officially in flower, Candy Rain has fully joined the flowering nutrition program alongside the rest of the room.
Current feeding includes:
โข Plagron Terra Bloom
โข Plagron Power Buds
โข Plagron Sugar Royal
โข Plagron Pure Zym
โข Plagron Green Sensation
The transition has been effortless.
Her foliage remains beautifully balanced with no signs of deficiencies, excesses, or stress, and she's responding exactly how I'd hoped after making the move onto the flowering schedule.
The roots remain healthy, water uptake is increasing, and the overall plant simply looks happy.
Sometimes the plants tell you everything without saying a word.
๐ก๏ธ Environment
Environmental conditions remain stable throughout the flowering room:
Day temperature: 29ยฐC
Night temperature: 25ยฐC
Relative humidity: 60%
Solution temperature: 21ยฐC
Root zone temperature: 21ยฐC
COโ: 639 ppm
The consistency inside the room continues allowing every plant to focus entirely on growth rather than recovery.
Healthy roots, stable temperatures, balanced humidity, and reliable irrigation remain one of the biggest reasons this project continues progressing so smoothly.
๐ก Welcoming Lumiflora
This week also sees Candy Rain benefiting from the new Lumiflora under-canopy lighting system.
While the Future of Grow Black Series LED continues providing exceptional light from above, the additional Lumiflora bars are designed to deliver extra intensity beneath the canopy, reaching lower flowering sites that naturally receive less light.
It's still far too early to draw conclusions, but I'm genuinely excited to document how this additional lighting influences lower bud development, flower density, and overall canopy uniformity over the coming weeks.
As always, I'll let the plants tell the story rather than making assumptions before harvest.
๐ธ Phenotype Thoughts
One thing Candy Rain has already reminded me is that size doesn't always predict quality.
She may not be the tallest or the fastest plant in the room, but healthy structure, vigorous growth, beautiful leaf colour, and balanced development are often far more important than chasing height alone.
Some of the most memorable harvests I've ever grown came from plants that never looked like the biggest stars during flowering.
Will Candy Rain surprise me?
I honestly don't know.
And that's exactly what makes growing so enjoyable.
Every plant writes its own ending.
๐ญ Looking Ahead
Over the next week I'm expecting the flowering stretch to continue before gradually slowing as more energy shifts toward building flowers.
The small clusters of pistils should begin stacking into more defined bud sites, resin production may start making its first appearance, and it'll be fascinating to see whether Candy Rain continues closing the gap between herself and the rest of the room.
Whatever happens, I'll continue giving her exactly what she's asked for from the very beginning:
Time.
๐ Final Thoughts
Candy Rain has become a wonderful reminder that growing isn't about comparing plants.
It's about understanding them.
Some explode out of the soil from day one.
Others quietly take their time before showing what they're capable of.
She's still writing her story, and I'm more than happy to let her write it at her own pace.
A huge thank you once again to Zamnesia for providing these fantastic genetics, to Plagron for their consistently reliable nutrient line, to Future of Grow for the incredible Black Series lighting, and to Lumiflora for joining this project with their under-canopy lighting system. I'm genuinely excited to see what the combination of top and lower canopy lighting can achieve throughout the rest of flowering.
Finally, thank you to the incredible GrowDiaries community for following this 8ร8 Adventure week after week. Your support, advice, encouragement, and passion for growing make documenting every stage of these plants an absolute pleasure.
Until next week...
Growers love and happy growing! ๐ฑ๐

The Elegant Survivor
There are plants that grow fast.
There are plants that grow big.
And then there are plants that simply have style.
Candy Rain is becoming one of those plants.
As the only survivor from this seed pack โ with the loss of her sister being entirely my own mistake โ she has every reason to be remembered as the little plant that almost didn't make it.
Instead, she's proving me wrong.
Week after week, Candy Rain has continued developing into something I honestly wasn't expecting. She's tall, graceful, incredibly lush, and has developed an elegant structure that is becoming more and more impressive with every update.
Beautiful green leaves.
Beautiful flowering sites.
Beautiful structure.
And an attitude that seems to say:
"You didn't expect this one, did you?" ๐
Well, Candy Rain...
You have my attention now.
๐ธ Week 2 Flower โ She's Finally Showing Her Character
Candy Rain has now entered her second week of flowering, and the transformation is becoming much more obvious.
Standing at approximately 90 cm, she has developed a wonderfully vertical and elegant structure. Rather than becoming overly dense or chaotic, her branches have naturally arranged themselves throughout the canopy, creating plenty of space between flowering sites.
The flowers are developing beautifully.
Fresh white pistils are appearing across the plant, with multiple flowering sites already clearly established along the branches. The little flowers from last week are beginning to look much more like proper developing buds now.
And the most impressive part?
The plant looks incredibly comfortable.
The foliage is lush and beautifully green, the leaves are reaching naturally toward the light, and the entire plant has that healthy, energetic appearance that every grower loves to see.
She's not fighting her environment.
She's enjoying it.
๐ฟ Plant Development โ Elegance Over Everything
Candy Rain has developed a very particular personality.
She's not a compact little plant trying to hide between the others.
She's tall.
She's open.
She's graceful.
She's almost elegant.
The earlier Low Stress Training helped establish an open framework, but at this stage I'm mostly allowing her natural growth to speak for itself.
Her long branches carry flowering sites beautifully, while the fan leaves remain healthy and functional throughout the plant.
Looking at her now, it's almost difficult to believe this is the same plant that started this project so slowly.
She has gone from the survivor I was simply happy to keep alive...
to a plant that now deserves her own spotlight.
And honestly, I couldn't be happier about it.
๐ A Beautiful Canopy
One of the things that really stands out this week is the quality of the foliage.
The leaves are a beautiful deep green, with strong structure and excellent development.
There is a real elegance to the way they extend from the branches and surround the developing flowers.
She's lush without looking messy.
She's full without looking overcrowded.
And the flowering sites remain visible throughout the structure.
That's exactly the kind of development I like to see during this stage.
Instead of forcing her into a particular shape, I'm letting Candy Rain show me what her genetics want to do.
And so far...
I really like what I'm seeing.
๐ง Feeding Program
Candy Rain continues on the Plagron flowering program.
Current feeding includes:
Plagron Terra Bloom โ 2.2 ml/L
Plagron Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
Plagron Green Sensation โ 1 ml/L
Plagron Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
Plagron pH Plus โ 0.03 ml/L
Plagron Lemon Kick โ 0.03 ml/L
Current recorded parameters:
pH: 6.0
EC: approximately 2.0 mS/cm
Solution temperature: 21ยฐC
Root-zone temperature: 21ยฐC
Watering: approximately 1.25 L per 24 hours
She's responding beautifully to the current program.
The foliage remains strong and balanced, flowering continues progressing naturally, and there are no obvious signs of nutritional stress in the photos.
๐ก๏ธ Environment
The flowering environment remains stable:
Day temperature: 29ยฐC
Night temperature: 25ยฐC
Relative humidity: 60%
COโ: 639 ppm
Consistency continues to be one of the most important parts of this project.
Candy Rain isn't having to constantly adapt to major environmental changes. Instead, she can simply concentrate on what she needs to do now:
grow, stretch, flower, and build.
๐ก Light From Above & Below
The Future of Grow Black Series LED continues providing the main light source from above, while the Lumiflora under-canopy lighting is now part of Candy Rain's flowering environment.
This combination is particularly interesting with a plant like this.
Because Candy Rain has such an open, vertical structure, there are flowering sites positioned at different levels throughout the plant.
The coming weeks will be fascinating.
I'm especially interested in watching how the lower flowering sites develop as flowering progresses and how the additional under-canopy illumination contributes to the overall structure.
But as always...
I'm not going to make promises before harvest.
We'll let the plant tell us.
๐ฌ Phenotype Thoughts โ The Survivor Has Something to Say
This is probably the most enjoyable part of this week's update.
Candy Rain was never supposed to become the star of this folder.
She was simply the one that remained.
And now?
She's standing there looking absolutely beautiful.
Tall.
Lush.
Healthy.
Elegant.
Covered in developing flowers.
The irony isn't lost on me.
I made the mistake that cost her sister her chance in this project. Candy Rain was the one left behind, and instead of letting that define her story, she's completely written her own.
This is one of the reasons I love growing.
You can have expectations.
You can have plans.
You can have an idea of which plants will impress you.
And then one plant quietly comes along and says:
"Watch me."
Candy Rain is doing exactly that.
๐ญ Looking Ahead
The next few weeks should be particularly exciting.
The stretch will eventually slow down, and more of her energy will move toward building the flowers that are now developing all across her branches.
Those beautiful white pistils should continue multiplying, the flowers should begin gaining more volume, and the plant's final structure will become much easier to judge.
I'm also very curious to see how she responds to the combination of the overhead Black Series lighting and Lumiflora under-canopy lighting as the flowers continue developing.
For now, though, there is absolutely nothing I want to rush.
Candy Rain has already taught me that lesson.
Give her time.
She'll decide what she wants to become.
โค๏ธ Final Thoughts โ From Survivor to Showstopper?
I started this diary thinking Candy Rain would simply be the plant that survived.
Now I'm starting to wonder if she might become something much more memorable.
She has gone from a slow beginning to a beautifully structured, tall and elegant flowering plant.
And every time I look at her, I find something new to appreciate.
The leaves.
The structure.
The flowering sites.
The colour.
The way she carries herself.
She has become the elegant survivor.
And perhaps that's the best part of the whole story.
Sometimes the plant you didn't expect anything from becomes the plant you end up watching the closest.
Candy Rain...
You deserve to shine. ๐ฌโจ
A huge thank you once again to Zamnesia for providing these genetics, Plagron for the flowering nutrition program, Future of Grow for the Black Series LED, and Lumiflora for bringing the under-canopy lighting into this adventure.
And, of course, a massive thank you to the incredible GrowDiaries community for following the 8ร8 Adventure and sharing the journey with me.
Candy Rain may have started this chapter as the solo survivor...
but she's certainly not looking like a survivor anymore.
She's looking like she belongs here.
Until next week...

DogDoctorOfficial ๐ฌ Candy Rain Auto by Zamnesia | Week 9
โจ The Elegant Survivor Keeps Shining
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8ร8 Adventure!
There are plants that surprise you.
There are plants that become bigger than expected.
And then there are plants that simply keep getting better every time you look at them.
Candy Rain is becoming exactly that plant. ๐ฌ๐
When this adventure started, she was the survivor.
The one remaining plant from her seed pack after I made a mistake that cost her sister the opportunity to join the experiment.
At first, I was simply happy that Candy Rain had made it.
Then she started growing.
And growing.
And developing.
And flowering.
And somewhere along the way, the little survivor stopped looking like a plant that had merely survived...
and started looking like a plant that belongs in the spotlight.
Week 9 now.
And honestly?
I'm loving everything about her.
The colour.
The leaves.
The structure.
The flowers.
The calyxes.
Those beautiful fresh white pistils.
The balance.
The way she carries herself.
She's just...
beautiful.
And this week, I didn't need to do anything special.
No defoliation.
No big intervention.
No attempt to reshape her.
We're simply letting Candy Rain be Candy Rain.
And she's doing a damn good job of it. ๐ฌโจ
๐ฑ The 8ร8 Adventure โ Let Genetics Speak
For anyone joining the diary now, welcome to the 8ร8 Adventure.
This project is built around a simple idea:
Give different genetics and phenotypes the same opportunity...
and then watch what they do with it.
The plants share the same room.
The same 12/12 lighting schedule.
The same environmental strategy.
The same general nutrition.
The same irrigation system.
The same lighting ecosystem.
The same grower.
But the plants don't become identical.
That's the whole point.
The environment provides the stage.
Genetics write the performance.
And Candy Rain has certainly developed her own character.
๐ฌ From Survivor to Something Special
I still find it funny looking back at where this girl started.
She wasn't supposed to become one of the plants I would be watching this closely.
She simply survived.
And now I'm looking at her at Week 9 thinking:
"Where the hell are you going?" ๐๐
Because she continues to impress me.
She's not the tallest plant in the room.
She's not the biggest.
She's not trying to dominate everything around her.
Instead, she has developed something I appreciate enormously:
balance.
Her structure is controlled.
Her branches carry flowering sites beautifully.
Her foliage remains healthy and functional.
And the plant has that wonderful combination of strength and elegance.
Nothing feels excessive.
Nothing feels chaotic.
She simply looks...
right.
๐ฟ A Beautifully Balanced Plant
This week, one of the things I appreciate most is the overall balance of Candy Rain.
She's still carrying plenty of healthy foliage, but the canopy doesn't feel unnecessarily crowded.
The branches have enough separation to allow us to see the developing flowers.
The leaves are beautifully formed.
And the entire plant has maintained that fresh, vibrant green that first caught my attention.
There is something particularly satisfying about looking at a plant where everything seems to be working together.
Leaves supporting flowers.
Branches supporting structure.
Flowering sites developing along the architecture.
Nothing screaming for attention.
Nothing demanding correction.
Just steady development.
And that's exactly why...
there was no defoliation this week.
โ๏ธ No Defoliation โ Just Let Her Be
Sometimes the best thing you can do for a plant is nothing.
And that's where Candy Rain is right now.
I'm not going to remove healthy leaves just because we're at Week 9.
I'm not going to create gaps simply because the calendar says it's time for a cleanup.
I'm looking at the plant.
I'm looking at the canopy.
I'm looking at the flowers.
And I'm asking:
Does she actually need me to interfere?
This week, my answer is:
No.
She's balanced.
She's healthy.
She's flowering.
She's maintaining good structure.
So we're leaving her alone.
We're letting her keep the leaves she's chosen to keep.
We're letting her maintain the architecture she's built.
We're letting her be what she is.
And honestly...
I think that's beautiful.
๐ธ The Flowers Are Becoming Beautiful
The flowering sites are now much more established.
What started as tiny clusters of pistils has become unmistakable developing flowers.
And the photographs this week really capture the details I love about Candy Rain.
The calyxes are becoming increasingly pronounced.
The fresh white hairs are still beautifully visible, reaching outward from the developing flowers.
The flower structures are gaining definition.
And the whole plant seems to be moving deeper into that stage where every week brings another visible change.
This is one of my favourite moments in a grow.
You're past the initial excitement of seeing the first pistils...
but you're not yet at the final destination.
You're somewhere in between.
The flowers are telling you:
"Wait. We're not finished yet."
And I'm listening.
? Those White Hairs...
I have to say it.
I absolutely love the pistils on this plant.
There is something incredibly elegant about those fresh white hairs emerging from the calyxes.
They give the flowers that almost delicate appearance.
And when you look closely at the photographs, you can see how much detail is already developing.
This is where macro photography becomes particularly rewarding.
You can look at the plant from a distance and think:
"Beautiful flowers."
Then you get closer...
and suddenly you're looking at an entire microscopic landscape.
Calyxes.
Pistils.
Sugar leaves.
Early resin development.
Textures.
Patterns.
It's one of the reasons I never get tired of photographing these plants.
There's always another detail hiding there.
๐ And Those Leaves...
The leaves deserve their own little moment too.
Because I genuinely love the foliage on this girl.
They're beautifully formed.
Healthy.
Strong.
And incredibly photogenic.
The leaf structure adds so much to the overall appearance of the plant.
And when you place those leaves around the developing flowers, the contrast between the green foliage and the lighter flowering structures makes the whole plant incredibly attractive.
She's not just producing flowers.
She's producing them inside a beautiful architecture.
And that's something I really appreciate.
๐ก Light From Above & Below
The lighting environment remains consistent with the rest of the room.
The Future of Grow Black Series LED provides the primary overhead illumination, while Lumiflora contributes additional under-canopy lighting.
Candy Rain's open and elegant structure makes her particularly interesting to observe under this combination.
Her flowering sites are distributed through different levels of the plant, giving us another opportunity to watch how the different parts of the canopy develop as flowering progresses.
But I'm deliberately avoiding making big claims before harvest.
The plants will tell us.
The photographs will tell us.
And eventually...
the finished flowers will tell us.
For now, we're simply watching.
And enjoying the process.
๐ง Feeding the Survivor
Candy Rain continues on the same flowering nutrition strategy used throughout the project.

โจ Green Sensation โ 1 ml/L
๐ฏ Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
โ๏ธ pH Plus โ 0.03 ml/L
๐ Lemon Kick โ 0.03 ml/L
Current recorded solution strength is approximately 2.0 mS/cm, with pH around 6.0.
Watering is currently approximately 1.25 L per plant per 24 hours.
And visually?
She's happy.
That's the most important part.
The plant continues developing without giving me any reason to dramatically change direction.
So once again...
we stay the course.
๐ก๏ธ Week 9 Conditions
Current conditions for this update:
๐ธ Flowering: Week 9
๐ Height: 90 cm
๐ก Light schedule: 12/12
๐ก๏ธ Day temperature: 29ยฐC
๐ Night temperature: 25ยฐC
๐ง Relative humidity: 60%
โ๏ธ pH: ~6.0
โก EC: ~2.0 mS/cm
๐ก๏ธ Solution temperature: 25ยฐC
๐ฑ Substrate temperature: 26ยฐC
๐ฌ๏ธ COโ: 639 ppm
? Pot size: 15 L
๐ฆ Watering: ~1.25 L per plant / 24h
The environment remains consistent.
And consistency is particularly valuable when we're trying to understand phenotype expression.
The room stays relatively predictable.
The plants remain unpredictable.
And that's exactly what makes this adventure so much fun.
๐ธ This Week's Gallery
I really like this week's gallery because it doesn't need any dramatic story attached to it.
The photographs speak for themselves.
You see the beautiful green leaves.
You see the clean structure.
You see the flowering sites distributed along the branches.
Then you get closer...
and suddenly the calyxes become the stars.
The white pistils.
The developing flower structures.
The subtle beginnings of resin.
The textures.
The tiny details.
Everything is telling the same story:
Candy Rain is developing beautifully.
And perhaps my favourite part is that she isn't doing anything complicated.
She's not demanding a special intervention.
She's not asking me to reshape her.
She's simply growing.
And I'm letting her.
๐ฌ The Elegant Survivor Has Become the Elegant Grower
There's something poetic about this plant's story.
She started this project because she was the one that remained.
I made a mistake.
Her sister didn't get the opportunity.
Candy Rain did.
And instead of simply surviving...
she took that opportunity and turned it into something beautiful.
Week after week, she developed.
She stretched.
She flowered.
She built structure.
And now she's standing here at Week 9 looking like she was always meant to be part of this adventure.
That's something growing teaches you again and again.
You don't always know which plant will capture your attention.
Sometimes it's the biggest.
Sometimes it's the weirdest.
Sometimes it's the one with the most unusual phenotype.
And sometimes...
it's simply the one that quietly keeps getting better.
Candy Rain is that girl for me.
๐ฎ Looking Ahead
And now I'm genuinely curious.
Where does she go from here?
The structure is already beautiful.
The flowers are clearly established.
The calyxes are developing.
The pistils remain fresh and abundant.
And the plant is still carrying itself with that wonderfully balanced appearance.
So I'm not going to rush her.
I'm not going to start removing things simply because I think I should.
I'm going to watch.
I'm going to photograph.
I'm going to document.
And I'm going to let her tell me when she's ready for the next chapter.
Maybe she'll surprise me again.
Wouldn't be the first time. ๐
โจ Let Candy Rain Shine
There are plants you train.
There are plants you guide.
There are plants you have to constantly manage.
And then there are plants where you eventually realize:
"You know what? I've done enough. Now show me what you can do."
That's Candy Rain.
This week, no defoliation.
No unnecessary intervention.
No attempt to change her.
She's healthy.
She's balanced.
She's beautiful.
She's flowering.
And she's doing exactly what I want her to do.
So now...
let her be.
Let those leaves work.
Let those calyxes develop.
Let those beautiful white pistils continue appearing.
Let those flowers build.
Let the plant follow her own rhythm.
Because sometimes the most beautiful thing a grower can do...
is simply step back and watch.
And Candy Rain?
She's giving me a damn good show. ๐ฌ๐โจ
๐ Final Thoughts
Week 9.
The little survivor is no longer just surviving.
She's thriving.
She's become one of those plants I genuinely enjoy photographing because every angle gives me something different.
The green.
The leaves.
The structure.
The flowers.
The calyxes.
The white hairs.
The balance.
There's so much to appreciate here.
And I don't know yet exactly where she's going.
That's the exciting part.
Maybe she'll bulk dramatically.
Maybe she'll continue developing slowly and elegantly.
Maybe she'll surprise me with something completely unexpected.
Whatever happens...
I'm here to watch it.
Because Candy Rain has already taught me something important:
Never underestimate the survivor.
๐ฌโจ
She was the one who remained.
Now she's the one making me stop and look.
And this week, she doesn't need a haircut.
She doesn't need a redesign.
She doesn't need to become anything else.
She just needs to be Candy Rain.
And honestly?
That's more than enough.
๐ Thank You

And finally...
thank you to everyone following along.
Every week adds another little piece to the story.
And Candy Rain?
She keeps writing hers beautifully.
The survivor.
The elegant one.
The beautifully balanced one.
The girl with the gorgeous calyxes and those beautiful white hairs.
And now...
the girl I'm simply going to let shine. ๐ฌโจ๐

โจ The Glamorous Survivor Keeps Shining
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8ร8 Adventure! ๐ฑ๐
Some plants fight for attention.
Some plants demand it.
Some plants seem determined to become the biggest, loudest personality in the entire room.
And then there is Candy Rain.
Our solo survivor.
The girl who started this adventure simply because she was the one who remained...
and somehow, week after week, she keeps becoming more beautiful.
At this point, I don't even know if "survivor" is still the right word.
Because she isn't just surviving anymore.
She's thriving.
And honestly?
This girl is becoming glamorous. ๐ฌโจ
๐ฌ The Solo Survivor Has Her Own Role
I've said it before, and I'm probably going to say it again...
I really like the role this girl has taken in the 8ร8 Adventure.
She's not trying to compete with anybody.
She's not trying to become the tallest.
She's not demanding constant attention.
She's not creating problems for me to solve.
She's simply doing her own thing.
And she's doing it beautifully.
That's probably what I appreciate most about her.
She has developed her own personality within this experiment, and at this stage, my job is becoming wonderfully simple:
Provide. Observe. Document.
That's it.
She knows what she's doing.
๐๐
๐ฟ Deep Green Beauty
The first thing that catches my attention this week is the colour.
Those deep greens are absolutely beautiful.
The foliage has that rich, healthy appearance that makes the plant look incredibly alive.
And when you put that deep green foliage together with the developing flowers, the contrast becomes gorgeous.
She's got that elegant appearance I really enjoy photographing.
Not chaotic.
Not overly complicated.
Just...
beautiful.
There's something about a plant that looks comfortable in its environment.
And that's exactly how Candy Rain looks to me right now.
Comfortable.
Established.
Confident.
And completely herself.
โจ She's Doing Her Own Thing
One of the biggest lessons from this entire 8ร8 Adventure continues to be that plants don't follow our expectations.
We can give them the same room.
The same lighting.
The same environmental conditions.
The same general feeding strategy.
The same irrigation philosophy.
And then...
they decide what they're going to become.
Candy Rain decided to become Candy Rain.
And I couldn't be happier about it.
She's not trying to imitate another phenotype.
She's not trying to match anybody else's timing.
She's following her own rhythm.
And at Week 10, that rhythm is looking very good.
๐ธ The Flowers Keep Moving Forward
The flowering development continues to progress beautifully.
The flower structures are becoming increasingly established, and the plant is clearly moving further into this later stage of flowering.
The photographs show those developing flowers surrounded by that beautiful deep green foliage.
And that's one of the things I really enjoy about this stage.
We're no longer looking at a plant simply beginning to flower.
We're watching the work from all those previous weeks become increasingly visible.
The branches have their flowers.
The flowers have their structure.
The plant has its character.
And now...
we wait.
We provide.
And we watch.
โ๏ธ The Details Keep Getting Better
This is also the point in the run where photography becomes especially rewarding.
From a distance, Candy Rain is simply a beautiful flowering plant.
But get closer...
and there is another world happening.
The developing flower structures.
The pistils.
The calyxes.
The resin.
The textures.
The little details that you simply don't appreciate from across the room.
This is why I keep coming back with the camera.
Every week gives me another reason to get closer.
And Candy Rain is giving me plenty of reasons. ๐ฌ๐ธ
๐ฟ No Need to Force Anything
One thing remains very clear with this girl:
I'm not looking for reasons to interfere.
She's not asking for major intervention.
She's not showing me a structure that needs to be completely changed.
She's not demanding that I redesign her.
She's growing.
She's flowering.
She's maintaining beautiful foliage.
She's developing.
So why would I try to turn her into something else?
This is one of those moments where the grower has to know when to step back.
Sometimes cultivation is about action.
Sometimes cultivation is about restraint.
And right now?
I'm choosing restraint.
Let her do her thing.
๐ Provide. Observe. Enjoy.
I think this is probably the simplest way I can describe where we are with Candy Rain.
We provide.
Water.
Nutrition.
Light.
A stable environment.
And support when necessary.
We observe.
The flowers.
The foliage.
The structure.
The maturation.
The changes from week to week.
And then...
we enjoy it.
Because what's the point of doing all this if we don't stop occasionally and appreciate what the plants are giving us?
Candy Rain is giving me a beautiful plant.
A beautiful story.
And honestly...
a beautiful reason to smile every time I open the tent.
๐ฌ๐โจ
๐ฑ One Survivor. One Story.
For anyone joining the diary now, the Candy Rain story is a little different from the others.
She is the solo survivor from her seed pack in this experiment.
What began as an accident became an opportunity.
And that opportunity became one of the plants I now genuinely look forward to documenting every week.
That's one of the funny things about growing.
You don't always know which plant is going to become special to you.
Sometimes it's the biggest.
Sometimes it's the strangest.
Sometimes it's the one that gives you the hardest time.
And sometimes...
it's the one that simply keeps getting better.
Candy Rain has become that girl.
๐ก The 8ร8 Adventure Continues
And of course, Candy Rain remains part of the bigger experiment.
For anyone discovering the project for the first time:
We're growing twelve different plants together under the same general ecosystem.
Same room.
Same 12/12 lighting schedule.
Same environmental strategy.
Same general nutritional approach.
Same grower.
Different genetics.
Different phenotypes.
Different personalities.
And that's what makes the comparison so interesting.
The environment gives them the opportunity.
Genetics decide how they express it.
Candy Rain's expression has been one of balance, elegance and consistency.
And at Week 10...
I really like what I'm seeing.
๐ง Still Just Giving Her What She Needs
The feeding strategy remains consistent with the flowering program.
๐ธ Terra Bloom โ 2.2 ml/L
๐ฑ Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
โจ Green Sensation โ 1 ml/L
๐ฏ Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
โ๏ธ pH adjustment products โ as required
Current recorded solution strength is approximately 2.0 mS/cm, with pH around 6.0.
Watering remains approximately 1.25 L per plant / 24h.
Nothing dramatic.
No special recipe.
No complicated intervention.
We're simply providing what she needs and letting her continue doing what she's been doing so well.
And visually?
She's answering beautifully.
๐ก๏ธ Current Conditions
Current recorded conditions for Week 10:
๐ธ Flowering: Week 10
๐ Height: 90 cm
๐ก Light schedule: 12/12
๐ก๏ธ Day temperature: 29.9ยฐC
๐ Night temperature: 25ยฐC
๐ง Relative humidity: 60%
โ๏ธ pH: ~6.0
โก EC: ~2.0 mS/cm
๐ก๏ธ Solution temperature: 25ยฐC
๐ฑ Substrate temperature: 26ยฐC
๐ฌ๏ธ COโ: 639 ppm
? Pot size: 15 L
๐ฆ Watering: ~1.25 L per plant / 24h
The environment continues to remain consistent.
And that consistency is important because it allows us to keep watching the plants themselves rather than constantly wondering whether environmental changes are responsible for every difference.
Same stage.
Same room.
Different expressions.
๐ธ This Week's Gallery
I think this week's photographs capture Candy Rain exactly as she is right now.
Beautiful.
Elegant.
Deep green.
Flowering.
And completely comfortable being herself.
There isn't one dramatic feature that needs to carry the entire story.
It's the combination.
The plant structure.
The foliage.
The flowers.
The colours.
The developing resin.
The overall balance.
She doesn't need to scream for attention.
She just looks good.
And sometimes...
that's enough.
Actually, it's more than enough.
๐ฌโจ
๐ The Glamorous Survivor
I think I've found her new title.
Not just the survivor.
Not just the elegant survivor.
She's becoming the Glamorous Survivor. ๐๐ฌโจ
Because look at her.
She made it through the beginning.
She established herself.
She developed her structure.
She entered flowering.
She kept her beautiful foliage.
She kept moving.
And now she's standing there looking increasingly refined.
She's not trying to be the queen of the room.
She's not fighting anybody for the crown.
She's just...
glamorous.
And I absolutely love it.
๐ฎ Looking Ahead
At this point, there isn't much I want to change.
And that's actually a wonderful place to be.
I'll continue watching the flowers develop.
I'll continue watching the resin.
I'll continue monitoring the colour and overall plant health.
I'll keep documenting the changes with the camera.
And most importantly...
I'll let her tell me what comes next.
Because Candy Rain has already shown me that she knows how to surprise me.
She started as the survivor.
Then she became the elegant one.
Now she's becoming the glamorous one.
Who knows what title she'll earn next? ๐๐ฌ
โจ Let Her Shine
I know I'm repeating myself.
But honestly...
sometimes repetition is deserved.
She's amazing.
She's beautiful.
She's doing her own thing.
She's maintaining those gorgeous deep greens.
She's developing her flowers.
She's moving toward maturity.
And she isn't asking for much.
So what am I supposed to do?
I'm going to give her what she needs.
I'm going to keep watching.
I'm going to keep photographing.
And I'm going to enjoy the hell out of watching this girl finish her story.
Candy Rain doesn't need me to make her shine.
She's already doing that.
I'm just making sure nothing gets in her way.
๐ฌ๐โจ
๐ Final Thoughts
Week 10.
And our solo survivor continues to impress me.
She's not the loudest plant in the room.
She's not the tallest.
She's not the most demanding.
She's not trying to become something she isn't.
She's simply...
Candy Rain.
Deep green.
Beautifully structured.
Flowering beautifully.
Developing her frost.
Moving toward maturity.
And doing it all in her own rhythm.
That is probably what I appreciate most about her.
She doesn't need a dramatic story every week.
Her story is simply:
she keeps getting better.
And sometimes, that's the best story of all.
The girl who was simply lucky enough to remain...
became a plant I genuinely love watching.
The solo survivor.
The elegant survivor.
And now...
the glamorous survivor. ๐ฌโจ๐
Let's make her shine.
๐ Thank You
Another week.
Another chapter.
Another reminder of why this 8ร8 Adventure has become such a fascinating journey.
A huge thank you to GrowDiaries for giving growers a place to document these experiments, compare plants and share what we learn.
Thank you to Zamnesia for the genetics behind our Candy Rain survivor.
Thank you to Plagron for supporting the nutritional side of the adventure.
Thank you to Future of Grow LED for powering the main lighting environment.
Thank you to Lumiflora for bringing additional lighting into the canopy and giving us another interesting variable to observe.
And thank you to TrolMaster for helping maintain the stable environment behind the scenes.
And, of course, thank you to everyone following along.
Every comment.
Every question.
Every bit of feedback.
Every person stopping by to watch these plants develop.
It all makes this adventure even more enjoyable.
And Candy Rain?
She'll keep doing what Candy Rain does.
She'll keep growing.
She'll keep flowering.
She'll keep shining.
And I'll keep providing what she needs while she writes the rest of her story.
The solo survivor is still here.
Still beautiful.
Still glamorous.
Still doing her own thing.
And honestly...
I wouldn't have it any other way. ๐ฌ๐โจ

โจ The Glamorous Survivor Is Bulking Up
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8ร8 Adventure! ๐ฑ๐
Well...
Our other solo survivor is still doing exactly what she has been doing from the beginning.
Her own thing.
๐๐ฌ
And honestly?
I'm really starting to love the way this girl is developing.
She's stacking.
She's bulking.
She's putting flowers absolutely everywhere.
She's developing a beautiful structure.
She's maintaining that gorgeous colour.
And those pistils...
Oh, those pistils. ๐
They're not the bright, almost pure white we're seeing on some of the other girls.
They're starting to carry a warmer, slightly yellowish tone.
And against that beautiful green foliage and developing flowers?
It looks absolutely gorgeous.
She's becoming one of those plants where you don't need anything dramatic to happen.
You just walk in...
look at her...
and smile.
Because she's doing beautifully.
๐ฌ๐โจ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โจ THE SOLO SURVIVOR KEEPS SHINING
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
I think by now we've officially moved past the "survivor" part of the story.
๐
She survived.
She established herself.
She grew.
She flowered.
And now?
She's building.
Big time.
Candy Rain continues to develop at her own rhythm, and what I'm really enjoying this week is how much more substantial the flowering structure is becoming.
She's not simply maintaining flowers anymore.
She's building them.
Stacking them.
Bulking them.
And filling her plant with them.
This girl has flowers everywhere.
๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
And somehow she still maintains that elegant, calm personality we've come to know.
She's not screaming for attention.
She's just quietly becoming more and more impressive.
And honestly...
that's a beautiful way to grow.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ SHE'S STACKING
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
This is probably the biggest thing catching my attention this week.
The stacking.
The flowers are building on top of the structure we've been watching develop over the previous weeks.
Individual flowering sites are becoming increasingly substantial.
The bud structures are becoming more defined.
And when you look across the plant, you start seeing flowers everywhere you look.
This is the point where all those earlier weeks of development start paying off visually.
The framework was built.
The flowers appeared.
The flowers developed.
And now they're beginning to bulk.
It's really satisfying to watch.
Because this isn't one impressive cola doing all the work.
It's the whole plant participating.
Flower after flower.
Branch after branch.
Stack after stack.
๐ฌ๐ธ๐ฅ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ BUDS EVERYWHERE
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
One of the things I really like about Candy Rain is how evenly she seems to be filling her space.
Look around her...
there are flowers everywhere.
And that's what makes her so enjoyable to photograph.
You can start with the whole plant.
Then you find one branch.
Then another.
Then another flower.
And suddenly you're wondering how you didn't notice all those flowers before.
๐๐ธ
She's becoming increasingly full.
The individual flowers are gaining presence.
The structure is becoming more substantial.
And the overall plant is starting to look like one beautiful flowering mass rather than simply a plant that happens to have flowers on it.
She's getting there.
And she's getting there beautifully.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ผ THOSE PISTILS...
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Now let's talk about something I particularly noticed this week.
The pistils.
๐
They're beautiful.
But they're not the same bright white we're seeing on some of the other girls.
Candy Rain is giving us a slightly warmer expression.
A little more yellowish.
A little more golden.
And against the green foliage?
It's stunning.
There's something about that warmer tone that gives the flowers a completely different character.
It's subtle.
It's not screaming for attention.
But once you notice it...
you keep noticing it.
And that's exactly what I love about phenotype hunting.
Sometimes the differences aren't enormous.
Sometimes they're little details.
A slightly different colour.
A slightly different structure.
A different rhythm.
A different way of stacking.
And those little differences become part of the identity of the plant.
Candy Rain has her own signature.
๐ฌ๐ผ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โ๏ธ THE FROST IS STILL THERE
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
And of course...
we can't forget the resin.
๐โ๏ธ
The flowers continue developing that beautiful frosty character.
The closer you look, the more detail appears.
Trichomes.
Pistils.
Flower structure.
Texture.
All those little things happening simultaneously.
And this is exactly where photography becomes dangerous again.
๐๐ธ
You take one photograph.
Then you see something interesting.
So you move closer.
Then you see even more.
And before you know it, you've been staring at one flower for ten minutes.
But that's the beauty of this stage.
The plants are giving us more and more detail to discover.
And Candy Rain has plenty.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฟ BEAUTIFUL COLOUR, BEAUTIFUL CONTRAST
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Another thing I continue to really like about this girl is the colour.
Those deep greens.
The flowers developing against them.
The warmer pistils.
The frost developing across the flower surfaces.
Everything is coming together beautifully.
She's got that rich, almost classic flowering-plant appearance.
Nothing feels out of place.
Nothing is screaming for attention.
It's simply...
balanced.
And sometimes balance is what makes a plant beautiful.
Candy Rain doesn't need to be the strangest plant in the room.
She doesn't need to be the tallest.
She doesn't need to have the most unusual structure.
She simply needs to be herself.
And she's doing that extremely well.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
SAME ROOM. SAME WORLD. DIFFERENT STORY.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
And once again, we come back to the heart of the 8ร8 Adventure.
For anyone discovering this diary now:
We're growing twelve different plants together under the same general ecosystem.
Same room.
Same lighting philosophy.
Same 12/12 schedule.
Same environmental strategy.
Same general nutritional program.
Same grower.
Same attention.
And yet...
look at how differently they express themselves.
Some stretch.
Some stay compact.
Some race ahead.
Some take their time.
Some become extremely frosty.
Some build enormous structures.
Some have unusual colours.
And Candy Rain?
She has become this beautiful, balanced, flower-loaded survivor who is now quietly bulking up all over the place.
That's what makes this experiment so enjoyable.
The environment gives them the opportunity.
Genetics decide what they do with it.
๐ฌ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ก MORE PHOTONS, SAME GIRL
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
The lighting environment has also received its upgrade.
We've added two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures to the room.
When we first brought the extra lighting in, the available PPFD was higher than we wanted for our target.
So rather than simply throwing everything at the plants...
we reduced the output.
We're now around:
๐ก ~59% power from the plug
with approximately:
โ๏ธ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy
and naturally less depending on plant height and position.
That's one of the things I really like about having more lighting capability.
We don't have to run everything at maximum.
We can have the photons available...
and decide how many we actually want to use.
And Candy Rain?
She's receiving the same upgraded environment as everybody else.
Same photons.
Same room.
Same conditions.
And she's responding in her own way.
๐ก๐ฟ๐ฌ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โ๏ธ THE ARTIFICIAL SUN KEEPS SHINING
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
There is something really fascinating about watching twelve plants receive essentially the same artificial sun...
and then seeing twelve different interpretations of it.
We give them photons.
They decide what to do with them.
๐
Candy Rain is clearly putting hers to work.
She's building flowers.
She's stacking.
She's bulking.
She's maintaining beautiful foliage.
And she's continuing to develop without asking us to reinvent the entire grow around her.
That's exactly the kind of relationship I like with a plant.
Provide.
Observe.
Adjust when necessary.
And let the plant do the rest.
๐ฑโ๏ธ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โ๏ธ NUTRITION โ A LITTLE MORE FUEL
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
The nutrition has also been adjusted together with the rest of the room.
Terra Bloom has moved from:
๐ฑ 2.2 ml/L โ 2.3 ml/L
while the rest of the flowering program remains:
๐ฑ Terra Bloom โ 2.3 ml/L
๐ฑ Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
๐ฑ Green Sensation โ 1 ml/L
๐ฑ Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
โ๏ธ pH adjustment as required
That small increase has brought the solution strength up slightly.
Current readings are around:
โ๏ธ pH โ ~6.02
โก EC โ ~2.14 mS/cm
And Candy Rain is responding beautifully.
Again...
nothing special just for her.
No secret recipe.
No different room.
No special treatment.
Same nutritional strategy as the rest of the girls.
And she's taking it...
and building.
๐ฌ๐ธ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ก๏ธ WEEK 11 โ CURRENT CONDITIONS
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
The room is currently sitting around:
๐ธ Flowering: Week 11
๐ก Light schedule: 12/12
๐ก๏ธ Day temperature: ~26.5ยฐC
๐ Night temperature: ~26ยฐC
๐ง Relative humidity: ~61%
โ๏ธ pH: ~6.02
โก EC: ~2.14 mS/cm
๐ฆ Nutrient solution temperature: ~25ยฐC
๐ฑ Substrate temperature: ~25ยฐC
๐จ COโ: ~693 ppm
? Pot size: 15 L
๐ง Irrigation: ~1.45 L/plant/24h
Same room.
Same environment.
Same upgraded lighting.
Same nutritional adjustment.
Same overall strategy.
And Candy Rain is continuing to show us her own interpretation.
๐ฌ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ SHE'S BULKING NOW
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
This is the part I'm really enjoying.
We're moving beyond:
"She's flowering."
We're now seeing:
"She's building flowers."
And that's a different feeling.
The flowers are gaining volume.
The structures are becoming more substantial.
The stacking is becoming more obvious.
And there are so many of them.
This is where the plant starts becoming visually rewarding in a completely different way.
Earlier, we were watching for flower formation.
Now we're watching what those flowers become.
And Candy Rain is giving us plenty to watch.
๐ธ๐ฅ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฌ THE GLAMOROUS SURVIVOR HAS EVOLVED
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Maybe "Glamorous Survivor" isn't quite enough anymore.
๐
Because now she's becoming:
โจ The Glamorous Survivor Who Came to Bulk.
๐๐ฌ๐ธ
She survived.
She established herself.
She became beautiful.
She entered flowering.
She developed her structure.
She stacked.
And now...
she's bulking.
There's something very satisfying about seeing that progression.
Especially because we never really knew what this girl was going to become when the adventure started.
She was simply the one that remained.
And now she's one of the plants I genuinely look forward to checking every week.
That's a pretty good evolution.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ THE CAMERA IS GOING TO HAVE FUN
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
With the way the flowers are developing now, I already know the camera is going to have plenty of work.
Wide shots will show the overall structure.
Closer shots will show the stacking.
And macro?
๐
Macro is going to become dangerous again.
Because those warmer pistils.
Those developing trichomes.
Those flower structures.
That frost.
The textures.
All of it deserves a closer look.
Candy Rain is becoming one of those plants where every step closer reveals something else.
And I love that.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ NO NEED TO FORCE HER
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
One thing hasn't changed.
I'm still not trying to make her into something she's not.
She's healthy.
She's growing.
She's flowering.
She's stacking.
She's bulking.
She's maintaining beautiful colour.
She's developing exactly as we'd like to see.
So...
why interfere unnecessarily?
At this stage, sometimes the best thing a grower can do is simply keep the environment stable and let the plant finish expressing itself.
We've already done the work needed to establish the structure.
Now?
Let her shine.
Let her build.
Let her show us what she's capable of.
๐ฌ๐โจ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ SHE DOESN'T NEED THE CROWN
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
And that's another thing I love about Candy Rain.
She's not trying to win anything.
She doesn't seem interested in competing with the other girls.
She's just doing her own thing.
Some of the girls are fighting for attention.
Some are absolutely screaming:
"LOOK AT ME!"
๐
Candy Rain?
She's standing there with her beautiful flowers and warmer pistils like:
"I'm good."
๐๐ฌ
And honestly...
that's enough.
She doesn't need the crown.
She just needs her spotlight.
And this week...
she's getting it.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ WHAT AM I WATCHING NOW?
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
At this point, my attention is going toward:
๐ธ How much more will the flowers bulk?
๐ฟ How much more will the stacking develop?
โ๏ธ How much more resin will appear?
๐ผ How will those warmer pistil colours evolve?
๐ How will the foliage continue to look as the plant matures?
And most importantly...
how far will this beautiful survivor take her story?
We're still not finished.
There are still chapters left.
So I'm simply watching.
And enjoying.
๐ฌ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โจ LET HER SHINE
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
So...
Week 11.
Candy Rain Auto.
Our other solo survivor.
And she's looking fantastic.
She's stacking.
She's bulking.
She's developing flowers everywhere.
She's building beautiful structure.
She's becoming increasingly frosty.
She's maintaining those gorgeous deep greens.
And those slightly warmer, yellowish pistils are giving her a character all of her own.
She's not trying to be another plant.
She's not trying to match another phenotype.
She's simply being Candy Rain.
And honestly?
I love it.
๐ฌ๐โจ
So let's make her shine.
Let's give this girl the spotlight.
Let's appreciate what she's building.
And let's see how much more she has left to show us.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ THANK YOU
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Another week.
Another chapter.
And another reminder that sometimes the most unexpected plants become some of the most enjoyable ones to follow.
A huge thank you to GrowDiaries for giving us a place to document these journeys, share experiences and learn together.
Thank you to Zamnesia for the genetics behind our beautiful Candy Rain survivor.
Thank you to Plagron for the nutrition supporting the garden.
Thank you to Future of Grow for providing the additional Black Series 600W fixtures and helping us expand the lighting capability of the room. ๐ก๐
Thank you to LumiFlora for helping bring additional light into the deeper parts of the canopy.
Thank you to TrolMaster for helping keep the environment stable behind the scenes.
And, of course...
thank you to everyone following the 8ร8 Adventure.
Every comment.
Every question.
Every observation.
Every person who stops by to see what the girls are doing this week.
It genuinely means a lot.
And Candy Rain?
Our solo survivor is still here.
Still beautiful.
Still growing.
Still stacking.
Still bulking.
Still shining.
And now...
looking more and more like a girl who has decided she's going to make every flower count.
๐ฌ๐ธโจ
She started this adventure simply because she was the one who remained.
Now she's become one of the girls I genuinely enjoy watching every single week.
The Glamorous Survivor.
The Solo Survivor.
The Flower-Loaded Survivor.
And this week...
the Bulking Survivor. ๐๐ฌ๐
Let's keep watching.
Let's keep documenting.
Let's keep photographing.
And let's let this beautiful girl continue doing what she does best.
Growing in her own rhythm.
Building in her own way.
And shining without ever needing to ask for the spotlight.
Because this week...
the spotlight belongs to Candy Rain.

โจ The Glamorous Survivor Is Getting Louder and Louder ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐ธ
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8ร8 Adventure! ๐ฑ๐
Well...
Our solo survivor has apparently decided that being quiet and elegant was not enough anymore.
๐
She's getting louder.
And louder.
And louder.
๐ฌ๐ฅ๐ธ
The stacking is becoming impossible to ignore.
The flowers are becoming more substantial.
She's continuing to build all over the plant.
And every time I look at her, I find another little detail that wasn't quite as obvious the week before.
She's beautiful.
She's becoming more impressive.
And she's definitely making herself heard now.
๐๐ฌ
This is Candy Rain Auto.
Our survivor.
Our glamorous survivor.
Our solo girl.
And at this point...
she's basically saying:
"Okay, enough talking. Look at what I'm building."
๐๐ธ๐ฅ
So...
let's look.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฌ WEEK 12 โ SHE'S GETTING LOUD
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
There are plants that quietly develop.
There are plants that suddenly explode.
And then there is Candy Rain...
who appears to have chosen the middle ground and simply keeps getting louder every single week.
๐
She's stacking.
She's bulking.
She's developing flowers throughout her structure.
And the whole plant is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
What I really like is that there isn't just one area doing all the work.
The flowering structures are developing throughout the plant.
You look at one branch...
then another...
then another...
and there's always something happening.
Another flower.
Another developing cola.
Another little section gaining volume.
Another area catching the light.
It's becoming a beautiful, continuous story.
๐ธ๐ฌ๐ฟ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฅ STACKING, STACKING & MORE STACKING
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
This is probably the biggest thing I notice this week.
She's stacking.
And she's stacking beautifully.
๐ธ๐ฅ๐ธ๐ฅ๐ธ
The flowers are becoming increasingly defined.
The structures are getting more substantial.
And the plant is starting to look less like a girl who is simply flowering...
and more like a girl who has decided:
"Right. We're building now."
๐
And I absolutely love watching that transition.
Because we've been following this plant from much earlier in the run.
We've watched her establish herself.
We've watched her flower.
We've watched her develop.
We've watched the first flowers become larger structures.
And now...
we're watching those structures continue to stack and gain presence.
That's the beauty of doing these weekly diaries.
You don't just see a plant.
You see the progression.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ข SHE'S GETTING LOUDER
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
I keep coming back to that word.
Louder.
๐๐ฌ๐ฅ
Because visually...
that's exactly how it feels.
She's making herself known.
The flowers are becoming more obvious.
The stacking is becoming more obvious.
The overall plant is becoming more substantial.
And the closer we get...
the more she seems to say:
"Hello? Are you looking at me yet?"
๐
Yes, Candy Rain.
We are.
We definitely are.
๐ฌ๐๐ธ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ผ THOSE PISTILS ARE CHANGING
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
And now we're starting to see another little part of the story develop.
The pistils.
๐ผโก๏ธ๐ธ
She's beginning to change their colour.
We're starting to see some of that earlier bright, warm appearance evolve.
They're no longer all sitting there looking exactly the same.
There's a transition happening.
And I really enjoy watching this because it's one of those small visual details that becomes much more obvious when you follow the same plant week after week.
She's still carrying plenty of green.
She's still very much a green girl.
But we're beginning to see those little changes developing within the flowers.
And that's another reminder that she's moving.
She's progressing.
She's following her own rhythm.
Nothing feels rushed.
Nothing feels forced.
She's simply moving along exactly as she seems to want to.
๐ฌ๐ผ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ STILL PLENTY OF GREEN
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
And yes...
there's still a lot of green.
๐๐ฟ
Candy Rain is not suddenly turning into an autumn postcard.
She's still carrying plenty of beautiful green foliage.
And that's perfectly fine.
She's still developing.
She's still stacking.
She's still bulking.
She's still doing her thing.
I don't want to force the story into some expectation of what she "should" look like at a particular moment.
That's one of the things this whole project has taught me.
Every plant has its own rhythm.
Every phenotype expresses itself differently.
And Candy Rain is telling us her story in her own language.
So...
we watch.
We document.
We appreciate.
And we let her continue.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฟ SHE'S FOLLOWING HER OWN RHYTHM
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
This girl has never really been interested in following anybody else's schedule.
๐
And I love that.
She's moving according to her own rhythm.
Not necessarily screaming ahead.
Not necessarily taking forever.
Just...
moving.
Perfectly.
At her own pace.
And I think that's one of the most important things to recognize in a room like this.
When you've got twelve different plants sharing one environment, you're going to see different speeds.
Different structures.
Different expressions.
Different reactions.
And that's exactly what makes the 8ร8 Adventure so interesting.
Candy Rain isn't late.
She isn't early.
She's Candy Rain.
๐ฌ๐
And she's doing Candy Rain things.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ THE SOLO SURVIVOR HAS BECOME A CHARACTER
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
I still think back to how this girl started her story.
She was our solo survivor.
The one that remained.
And somehow...
she has evolved into one of the characters I most enjoy following.
๐๐ฌ
At first, the story was simply:
"She's still here."
Then:
"She's growing."
Then:
"She's flowering."
Then:
"She's stacking."
Then:
"She's bulking."
And now:
"She's getting louder."
๐๐ฅ
That's quite an evolution.
She may have started as the survivor...
but she's definitely not behaving like a background character anymore.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ FLOWERS EVERYWHERE
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Look around the plant...
flowers.
Look again...
more flowers.
Move closer...
even more flowers.
๐๐ธ
That's what I love about this stage.
The plant has developed enough structure that the flowers now tell most of the story.
You can see the framework.
You can see the branches.
You can see the foliage.
But your eyes keep getting pulled toward those developing flowering structures.
And Candy Rain has plenty of them.
She's filling her space beautifully.
Not necessarily in some dramatic, explosive way...
but consistently.
And consistency is beautiful.
Week after week.
Flower after flower.
Stack after stack.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE TELLING THE STORY
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Looking at this week's photographs, I really like how clearly the plant's progression comes through.
The wider photographs show the overall structure.
The closer photographs reveal the individual flowers.
And then you get those little details...
the pistils.
The developing resin.
The flower texture.
The different stages of development across the plant.
It's almost like looking at a little map of where she's been and where she's going.
And honestly...
I could probably keep photographing her all day.
๐๐ธ
Because every time you change your angle, another flower catches your eye.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ก SAME ROOM. SAME PHOTONS. SAME CANDY RAIN.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
And of course...
we have to come back to one of the biggest themes of the 8ร8 Adventure.
Same room.
Same general environment.
Same lighting philosophy.
Same irrigation system.
Same nutritional foundation.
Same 12/12 schedule.
Same grower.
And yet...
different plants.
Different genetics.
Different expressions.
Candy Rain is receiving the same general lighting environment as everyone else.
The two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures are still part of the room.
We're keeping them around:
๐ก ~59% power from the plug
with approximately:
โ๏ธ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy
and naturally varying depending on canopy height and position.
The photons are the same opportunity.
But Candy Rain decides what to do with them.
And apparently...
she wants to make flowers.
Lots of flowers.
๐๐ฌ๐ธ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โ๏ธ THE ARTIFICIAL SUN KEEPS DOING ITS JOB
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
I really like what the expanded lighting setup has brought to this project.
Not because we're trying to force the plants to do anything.
But because we have more capability.
We can create a broader lighting envelope.
We can control the output.
We can give the room the photons it needs without simply running everything flat out.
And then...
we observe.
That's the interesting part.
The light provides the energy.
The plants interpret it.
And Candy Rain?
She's interpreting it beautifully.
She's stacking.
She's bulking.
She's developing.
She's getting louder.
๐ฌโ๏ธ๐ธ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ THERE'S NOT MUCH FOR ME TO DO NOW
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
And honestly...
this is probably the biggest thing I can say about this week.
There's not much for me to do.
๐
I'm looking.
I'm observing.
I'm checking.
I'm supporting whatever needs support.
I'm adjusting when something actually asks for an adjustment.
And otherwise...
I'm letting her be.
Because she's doing beautifully.
Why would I interfere with something that is already working?
The plant has established her structure.
The flowering sites are there.
The flowers are developing.
The stacking is happening.
She's progressing.
So my role becomes simpler.
Observe.
Respond.
Support.
And get out of the way.
๐ฑ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ THE GROWER'S JOB: EXIST
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
There comes a point in every grow where the plant basically tells you:
"Okay...
I've got this."
๐
And Candy Rain is definitely approaching that conversation.
She's doing her thing.
She's asking for what she needs.
And when she does...
we respond.
But otherwise?
I'm just here.
Existing.
๐
Watching her.
Admiring her.
Taking photographs.
Writing about her.
And occasionally saying:
"Well...
look at you."
๐ฌ๐๐ธ
Sometimes growing is incredibly complicated.
And sometimes...
the best thing you can do is let the plant grow.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ผ THE COLOURS ARE STARTING TO TELL US MORE
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
The changing pistils are one of the details I'm particularly interested in watching now.
Earlier, those warmer yellowish tones were already giving Candy Rain a unique character.
Now we're beginning to see more change.
It's subtle.
It's gradual.
And it's exactly the kind of thing I enjoy documenting.
Because this isn't about one photograph.
It's about the sequence.
Week 10.
Week 11.
Week 12.
And suddenly you can see that little shift.
That's the magic of a diary.
You capture something that seems tiny today...
and a few weeks later, you realize it was part of a much larger transition.
๐ฌ๐ผ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โ๏ธ AND YES... SHE'S STILL FROSTY
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
The resin development continues as well.
โ๏ธ๐ฌ
She's not finished showing us what she can do.
The flowers continue carrying that beautiful frosty character.
And combined with the changing pistils and all that green...
she's developing a really lovely visual identity.
Again...
not necessarily the most dramatic plant in the room.
Not necessarily the strangest.
Not necessarily the biggest.
She's simply...
Candy Rain.
And honestly?
That's more than enough.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฌ BEAUTIFUL WITHOUT TRYING TOO HARD
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Maybe that's what I like most about her.
She doesn't look like she's trying.
๐
She just grows.
She stacks.
She develops.
She changes.
And somehow...
she ends up beautiful.
There are plants that look like they were designed for a magazine cover.
And then there are plants where you keep watching them week after week and slowly realize:
"Wow...
I really like this girl."
Candy Rain is that kind of plant for me.
She's grown on me.
Literally.
๐๐ฌ๐ฟ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฌ SAME ENVIRONMENT โ DIFFERENT EXPRESSION
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Again, for anyone discovering this diary for the first time...
the 8ร8 Adventure is about exactly this.
We're not creating twelve completely different worlds.
We're not changing everything every week for every phenotype.
We're giving these plants a shared environment...
and watching what genetics do with that opportunity.
And Candy Rain gives us another beautiful example.
Same room.
Same photons.
Same general nutrition.
Same environmental strategy.
Different expression.
That's the experiment.
And that's why I never get tired of seeing another week unfold.
Because even when nothing dramatic changes...
the plants are still changing.
Quietly.
Gradually.
Beautifully.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โ๏ธ NUTRITION โ SAME ROOM, SAME FOUNDATION
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
As with the rest of the room, the flowering nutrition remains at:
๐ฑ Plagron Terra Bloom โ 2.3 ml/L
๐ฑ Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
๐ฑ Green Sensation โ 1 ml/L
๐ฑ Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
โ๏ธ pH adjusted as required
Current solution values remain around:
โ๏ธ pH โ ~6.02
โก EC โ ~2.14 mS/cm
Again...
nothing special just for Candy Rain.
Same general room-wide strategy.
Same nutritional foundation.
And then...
we observe what she does with it.
She's doing beautifully.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ก๏ธ WEEK 12 โ ROOM CONDITIONS
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
The room continues broadly around:
๐ก๏ธ Day temperature: ~26.5ยฐC
๐ Night temperature: ~26ยฐC
๐ง RH: ~61%
๐ฑ Substrate temperature: ~25ยฐC
๐ฆ Nutrient solution: ~25ยฐC
โ๏ธ pH: ~6.02
โก EC: ~2.14 mS/cm
๐จ COโ: ~693 ppm
๐ก Light schedule: 12/12
? Pot size: 15 L
๐ง Irrigation: ~1.45 L/plant/24h
Same room.
Same environment.
Same lighting upgrades.
Same nutrition.
Different week.
And another beautiful chapter from Candy Rain.

๐ฅ SHE'S ENTERING THAT BEAUTIFUL "JUST WATCH" PHASE
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
I think that's the best way to describe where we are now.
Just watch.
๐
Watch the flowers.
Watch the stacking.
Watch the colour.
Watch the pistils.
Watch the resin.
Watch the plant.
And when she asks for something...
we respond.
Otherwise...
let her do what she does.
This is where patience becomes part of the grow.
The plant doesn't need us to make something happen every day.
Sometimes...
she just needs time.
And Candy Rain is using that time beautifully.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ WHAT I'M WATCHING NOW
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
So what am I looking for?
Honestly...
more of the same.
๐ธ Continued stacking.
๐ฌ Continued bulking.
๐ผ Further changes in the pistils.
โ๏ธ Continued resin development.
๐ฟ Watching all that green evolve naturally.
๐ And simply seeing where her own rhythm takes her.
I'm not trying to predict exactly what she's going to look like at the end.
I'm not trying to force a timeline.
I'm just enjoying the progression.
Because right now...
she looks happy.
She looks beautiful.
And she looks like she's enjoying herself.

โจ FINAL THOUGHTS โ LET CANDY RAIN SHINE
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Week 12.
Candy Rain Auto.
Our solo survivor.
Our glamorous survivor.
Our increasingly loud survivor.
๐๐ฌ๐ฅ
She's stacking.
She's bulking.
She's getting louder.
She's changing.
Her pistils are beginning to shift colour.
She's still carrying plenty of beautiful green.
She's moving at her own rhythm.
And she's becoming more impressive by the week.
There's not much for me to do now.
And honestly?
I'm perfectly happy with that.
I'll exist.
๐
I'll observe.
I'll support whatever she needs.
I'll make adjustments when they're actually necessary.
And otherwise...
I'll let her be.
Because she's doing her thing.
And she's doing it beautifully.
๐ฌ๐ธ๐
This girl doesn't need me to write her story for her.
She's writing it herself.
One flower.
One stack.
One week at a time.
So let's give her the spotlight.
Let's let her shine.
Let's enjoy the colours as they begin to change.
Let's watch those flowers continue to build.
And let's see how loud this beautiful girl can get.
๐๐ฅ๐ฌ
Candy Rain...
keep doing your thing.
Keep stacking.
Keep bulking.
Keep changing.
Keep surprising me.
And most importantly...
keep being you.
Because whatever you're doing...
it's working beautifully.
๐ฌ๐๐ธโจ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ

And, of course...
thank you to everyone following along.
Every comment.
Every question.
Every message.
Every person who stops by to see what the girls are doing.
It genuinely means a lot. ๐
And Candy Rain?
You're getting louder.
You're getting bigger.
You're stacking.
You're changing.
You're becoming more beautiful every week.
๐ฌ๐ฅ๐ธ
You started this adventure as our solo survivor.
Now?
You're one of the girls that I genuinely look forward to seeing every time I walk into the room.
And that's something special.
So this week...
the spotlight belongs to you.
๐ฌโจ๐
Let's keep watching.
Let's keep documenting.
Let's keep enjoying the journey.
And let's let this beautiful girl continue moving at her own rhythm.
No rushing.
No forcing.
No unnecessary interference.
Just observation...
support...
and appreciation.
Because sometimes...
the best thing a grower can do is simply stand back and say:
"She's got this."
๐๐ฌ๐ฟ
And Candy Rain?
I think she's got this.
Growers Love, my friends. ๐๐ฑ
See you next week in the 8ร8 jungle...
where the flowers keep stacking,
the colours keep changing,
the photons keep flying,
and our solo survivor keeps getting louder and louder and louder.
๐ฌ๐ธ๐ฅ๐
Let her shine.

The Solo Survivor Who Refuses to Stay Solo ๐ฌ๐๐ธ๐ฅ
Welcome back to another chapter of the 8ร8 Adventure! ๐ฑ๐
And our girl...
She keeps surprising me.
Week after week.
๐๐ฌ
Just when I think I've got a pretty good idea of what Candy Rain is going to do...
she looks at me and says:
"Actually... no."
๐๐ธ
More beautiful.
More dense.
More compact.
More flowers.
More structure.
More of everything.
And honestly?
I don't think she likes being called our "solo survivor" anymore.
๐๐๐
Because she's doing everything she possibly can to look like more than one plant.
She's filling her space.
She's building flowers everywhere.
She's becoming denser.
She's becoming more substantial.
She's becoming increasingly difficult to describe as simply "the little solo girl."
She's one plant...
but she's behaving like she's trying to bring a whole fucking team with her.
๐๐ฌ๐ฟ๐
And I absolutely love it.
She's lush.
She's green.
She's beautiful.
She's moving at her own rhythm.
She's doing her own thing.
And I'm simply here...
watching.
Supporting.
Providing what she needs.
And trying to keep up with whatever the hell she has decided to do next.
๐
So this week...
the spotlight belongs to our Candy Rain girl.
Let's make her shine.
๐ฌโจ๐ธ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฌ WEEK 13 โ THE SOLO SURVIVOR IS REFUSING TO BE SOLO
I think we've officially reached the point where the nickname "solo survivor" is becoming misleading.
๐
Because yes...
technically...
there is only one Candy Rain plant.
But look at her.
Seriously.
LOOK AT HER.
๐๐ธ๐ฌ
She's filling herself with flowers.
She's creating more and more individual flowering structures.
She's becoming denser.
She's becoming more compact.
She's becoming fuller.
And every time I look at her, I find another little section that has developed further.
It's almost like she's saying:
"Okay, maybe I'm alone...
but I'm going to make sure nobody notices."
๐๐๐
And honestly?
She's doing a damn good job.
The plant is becoming increasingly impressive.
Not because she's trying to be the biggest plant in the room.
Not because she's trying to compete.
But because she's simply continuing to develop at her own rhythm.
And that rhythm is beautiful.
๐ฌ๐ฟ๐ธ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ MORE BUDS, MORE DENSITY, MORE CANDY RAIN
The biggest thing I'm noticing this week is simply how much more there is to look at.
More flowers.
More density.
More compact structures.
More development.
More detail.
It's one of those plants where you can stand there and think:
"Okay... beautiful."
Then you look a little closer:
"Oh..."
๐
And then closer again:
"Wait... there's another one there."
๐๐ฌ๐ธ
That's what she's doing now.
She's filling the plant.
She's making herself increasingly substantial.
And I really like the compact character we're seeing from her.
She's not simply stretching everything out.
She's developing these beautiful, increasingly dense flowering structures that give the plant a really full appearance.
The photographs this week really show that progression.
She's not just flowering anymore.
She's becoming.
And there's a big difference.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ THAT BEAUTIFUL GREEN
And then there's the colour.
๐ฌ๐๐ฟ
She's still giving us that beautiful, lush green appearance.
And honestly...
I love it.
There's something about a healthy-looking green plant that never gets old for me.
Especially when you start combining that colour with developing flowers, frost and structure.
She has that beautiful contrast.
Green foliage.
Developing flowers.
Resin catching the light.
Different textures.
Different shades.
And all of it coming together into one very pretty girl.
She's not trying to turn herself into something else.
She's simply being Candy Rain.
And Candy Rain is green.
๐๐๐ฌ
Very, very green.
And I like it.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ ONE PLANT TRYING TO BECOME MANY
This is probably my favourite thing about her right now.
She's one plant...
but she doesn't look like she wants to behave like one.
๐๐๐
It's almost as if she's trying to multiply herself through the number of flowering structures she's creating.
One girl.
Many personalities.
Many flowers.
Many little places demanding attention.
And somehow she keeps making the plant look fuller.
It's hilarious.
Because I originally called her our solo survivor.
Now I'm starting to think she's offended by the word "solo."
๐๐ฌ๐
She's basically saying:
"Don't call me alone.
Look how many flowers I have."
๐๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
Fair enough, girl.
Message received.
You may technically be one...
but you're certainly making enough noise for several.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฅ SHE KEEPS GETTING BETTER
And this is what I really enjoy about following her.
She doesn't seem to have reached a point where I think:
"Okay, that's it. That's what she's going to be."
Every week there's something new.
A little more density.
A little more flower.
A little more structure.
A little more frost.
A little more presence.
And suddenly...
she looks better again.
That's what makes the weekly diary so valuable.
If you only saw this girl today, you might simply say:
"Beautiful Candy Rain."
But because we've been watching her week after week...
we can see the journey.
We can see the progression.
We can see the plant slowly becoming more and more substantial.
And I absolutely love that.
๐ฌ๐ฟ๐ธ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE GETTING MORE INTERESTING
And these photographs?
I really like them.
๐ธ๐ฌ
Because we're now at the stage where the individual flowers are starting to tell more of the story.
The wider shots show the plant.
The closer shots show the structure.
And then the really close views...
well...
that's where you start getting lost.
๐๐ฌ๐ธ
You see the density.
You see the developing resin.
You see the flower structures becoming more compact.
You see the little details that are easy to miss from across the room.
And that's exactly why I love documenting these girls.
The plant doesn't change overnight.
But when you put the photographs from several weeks together...
suddenly you can see just how much has happened.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฌ OUR SOLO SURVIVOR HAS CHARACTER
She's really become one of the characters of the 8ร8.
And I think that's worth saying.
At the beginning, she was simply:
"Our solo survivor."
Now?
She's Candy Rain.
๐๐ฌ๐
She has her own rhythm.
Her own structure.
Her own colour.
Her own way of developing.
Her own personality.
And I genuinely look forward to seeing what she's doing when I walk into the room.
That's when you know a plant has become more than just another plant.
You start recognizing her.
You start understanding her.
You start noticing the little differences.
And that's one of the most beautiful things about growing multiple phenotypes.
You stop seeing twelve labels.
You start seeing twelve personalities.
Candy Rain has definitely developed hers.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ก SAME ROOM โ SAME PHOTONS โ DIFFERENT STORY
And of course...
we come back to one of the foundations of the entire 8ร8 Adventure.
Same room.
Same general environment.
Same lighting.
Same irrigation philosophy.
Same nutritional foundation.
Same 12/12 schedule.
Same grower.
And yet...
completely different expressions.
๐ฌโ๏ธ๐ฟ
The two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures are still part of the room.
We're still working with the expanded lighting capability at controlled output.
Approximately:
๐ก ~59% power from the plug
With around:
โ๏ธ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy
naturally varying depending on plant height and position.
And Candy Rain is receiving those same photons as everybody else.
But look at what she's doing with them.
She's building.
She's stacking.
She's becoming dense.
She's becoming compact.
She's filling her structure.
She's becoming more and more beautiful.
The photons are the same.
The response isn't.
And that's the experiment.
That's the magic.
That's the 8ร8 Adventure.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โ๏ธ THE ARTIFICIAL SUN KEEPS SHINING
I continue to really enjoy what the expanded lighting setup has brought to this room.
The additional Future of Grow fixtures gave us more capability.
More flexibility.
More available lighting capacity.
But we're not simply running everything at maximum just because we can.
We're controlling the output.
We're watching the plants.
And we're letting them tell us their story.
Candy Rain is definitely talking.
๐๐ฌ
She's saying:
"More flowers, please."
๐๐ธ
And apparently...
she's taking the photons and doing exactly that.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฟ SAME ROOM โ DIFFERENT GENETIC EXPRESSION
This is another beautiful example of why I love having these individual diaries.
If somebody only followed Candy Rain...
they might think:
"This is what the room looks like."
But it's not.
This is what Candy Rain looks like.
The room is the constant.
The plant is the variable.
And that's what makes this entire project so interesting.
Some girls are tall.
Some are compact.
Some are huge.
Some are slow.
Some are fast.
Some are frosty monsters.
Some are heavy beasts.
Some are elegant.
Some are strange.
And Candy Rain?
She's the beautiful solo girl who's apparently trying to become a whole crowd.
๐๐ฌ๐ธ๐
I wouldn't change that.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ I'M MOSTLY JUST SUPPORTING HER NOW
And honestly...
there isn't much for me to do.
She's doing the work.
I'm observing.
I'm supporting.
I'm providing what she wants.
And when she needs something...
I respond.
That's it.
There's no need for me to constantly interfere.
She's healthy-looking.
She's developing.
She's flowering.
She's getting denser.
She's becoming more substantial.
She's doing exactly what she wants to do.
So my job becomes simple.
Look.
Observe.
Listen.
Support.
And let her grow.
๐ฑ๐
Sometimes the smartest thing a grower can do is realize that the plant doesn't need to be "fixed."
It just needs to be allowed to continue.
And Candy Rain?
She's continuing beautifully.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฌ SHE'S MAKING THIS ROUND CRAZY
I think this is the best way to describe the current stage.
She's giving us a crazy round.
๐๐ฅ๐ฌ
Not because she's trying to break records.
Not because she's trying to dominate the room.
But because every time I think I've understood her...
she gives us another little surprise.
More density.
More flowers.
More compact structure.
More beauty.
More frost.
More green.
More personality.
And I love it.
This is exactly why I don't want to put expectations on these plants.
Let them show us.
Let them tell us.
Let them surprise us.
Candy Rain is doing exactly that.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โ๏ธ THE FROST CONTINUES TO DEVELOP
And yes...
the frost is still part of her story.
๐ฌโ๏ธโจ
As the flowers become more substantial, that resin-covered character becomes more noticeable.
You can see it catching the light.
You can see it on the developing flowers.
And when you combine that with her beautiful green colour...
she has a really attractive appearance.
She's not just green.
She's green with sparkle.
๐๐โจ
And that's a combination I can absolutely get behind.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ธ COMPACT DOESN'T MEAN SMALL
This is another little observation I really like with her.
She's becoming more compact.
More dense.
More filled.
But that doesn't mean she's insignificant.
Quite the opposite.
The compactness is part of her character.
The flowers are becoming substantial within that structure.
She's filling the plant instead of simply extending it.
And that's what makes her interesting.
She's not trying to be the tallest girl in the room.
She's trying to be the girl with flowers everywhere.
๐๐ฌ๐ธ
And she's succeeding.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โ๏ธ NUTRITION โ SAME ROOM, SAME FOUNDATION
The nutritional foundation remains consistent with the rest of the room:
๐ฑ Plagron Terra Bloom โ 2.3 ml/L
๐ฑ Power Buds โ 1 ml/L
๐ฑ Green Sensation โ 1 ml/L
๐ฑ Sugar Royal โ 1 ml/L
โ๏ธ pH adjusted as required
Current solution values remain around:
โ๏ธ pH โ ~6.02
โก EC โ ~2.14 mS/cm
Again...
we're not creating a completely different world around Candy Rain.
She's part of the same room.
Same general foundation.
Same approach.
And then...
we observe what she does with it.
And what she's doing is beautiful.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ก๏ธ WEEK 13 โ ROOM CONDITIONS
The room remains broadly around:
๐ก๏ธ Day temperature: ~26.5ยฐC
๐ Night temperature: ~26ยฐC
๐ง RH: ~61%
๐ฑ Substrate temperature: ~25ยฐC
๐ฆ Nutrient solution: ~25ยฐC
โ๏ธ pH: ~6.02
โก EC: ~2.14 mS/cm
๐จ COโ: ~693 ppm
๐ก Light schedule: 12/12
? Pot size: 15 L
๐ง Irrigation: ~1.45 L/plant/24h
Same room.
Same general environment.
Same lighting upgrades.
Same nutrition.
Different plant.
Different expression.
Different story.
๐ฌ๐๐ธ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฌ THE 8ร8 EXPERIMENT KEEPS TEACHING US
And this is why I keep coming back to the same point.
The 8ร8 isn't about finding one perfect plant.
It's about seeing the differences.
It's about watching genetics express themselves under a shared environment.
And Candy Rain is giving us another beautiful example.
She's showing us that one plant can have a completely different rhythm from another.
She doesn't need to be the fastest.
She doesn't need to be the biggest.
She doesn't need to be the frostiest.
She doesn't need to be the most colourful.
She just needs to be herself.
And she's doing exactly that.
๐ฌ๐ฟ๐
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ ONE GIRL โ MANY STORIES
Our solo survivor.
Our glamorous survivor.
Our increasingly loud survivor.
And now...
our girl who's apparently trying to become a whole family.
๐๐ฌ๐ธ
I love the contradiction.
One plant.
So many flowers.
One root system.
So many flowering structures.
One girl.
So much personality.
She's proving that "solo" doesn't necessarily mean lonely.
๐
She's got plenty going on.
And honestly...
she looks like she's having a fantastic time doing it.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ WHAT I'M WATCHING NOW
At this point, I'm watching:
๐ธ Continued flower development.
๐ฌ More stacking.
๐ That beautiful lush green colour.
โ๏ธ Continued frost development.
๐ฟ Increasing density and compactness.
๐ Her overall progression.
๐ธ And, of course, documenting every step of the journey.
I'm not trying to force a timeline.
I'm not trying to predict exactly where she's going.
I'm simply watching.
Because right now...
the story is beautiful.
And she's still writing it.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ฎ WHAT COMES NEXT?
Hopefully...
more surprises.
๐๐ฌ
More flowers.
More density.
More frost.
More development.
More beautiful green.
And probably another week where I walk into the room and say:
"Well...
you did it again."
๐๐๐
That's Candy Rain.
She's going to do what Candy Rain wants to do.
And my job is simply to give her the opportunity.
Provide what she needs.
Support her when she asks.
And let her shine.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
๐ญ FINAL THOUGHTS โ THE SOLO GIRL WHO ISN'T ACTING SOLO
Week 13.
Candy Rain Auto.
๐ฌ๐๐ธ
And this girl keeps surprising me.
She's becoming more beautiful.
More dense.
More compact.
More full of flowers.
More frosty.
And somehow...
more herself.
That's probably what I love most.
She's not trying to become another plant.
She's not trying to follow somebody else's schedule.
She's not trying to copy the girls around her.
She's simply doing Candy Rain things.
๐๐ฌ
And apparently...
Candy Rain things include trying to make one plant look like several.
๐๐๐
She's lush.
She's green.
She's compact.
She's developing beautiful flowers throughout her structure.
She's moving at her own rhythm.
And she's giving us one hell of a round.
So I'm not going to rush her.
I'm not going to force her.
I'm not going to compare her.
I'm just going to keep watching.
Keep supporting.
Keep documenting.
And keep enjoying this beautiful girl.
๐ฌ๐ฟ๐
Because sometimes...
the solo survivor becomes one of the most memorable plants in the entire room.
And I think Candy Rain is doing exactly that.
So let's give her the spotlight.
Let's let her shine.
Let's appreciate that beautiful green.
Let's appreciate the density.
Let's appreciate those compact flowers.
Let's appreciate the frost.
Let's appreciate the personality.
And let's see just how much more this girl wants to surprise us with.
๐ฌโจ๐ธ๐ฅ
Candy Rain...
you may be one plant...
but you're making enough noise for several.
๐๐
Keep doing your thing, girl.
Keep stacking.
Keep building.
Keep shining.
Keep being beautifully, stubbornly, wonderfully YOU.
๐ฌ๐๐ฟโจ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ

It genuinely means a lot. ๐
This 8ร8 Adventure continues to remind me that every plant has her own personality.
And Candy Rain?
She's becoming one of my favourites to watch.
๐ฌ๐๐
She started this journey as our solo survivor.
Now she's apparently trying to prove that one plant can look like several.
๐๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
She's beautiful.
She's lush.
She's dense.
She's compact.
She's frosty.
She's developing.
She's doing her own thing.
And I'm simply here to support her and give her what she asks for.
That's the relationship.
The plant does the work.
The grower listens.
And when the plant says:
"Keep going."
We keep going.
๐ฌ๐ฟ๐
So let's give our girl the spotlight she deserves.
Let's let her shine.
Let's enjoy this crazy round she's giving us.
Let's keep documenting.
Let's keep learning.
And let's see what Candy Rain decides to show us next.
Because if this girl has taught me anything...
it's that she's not finished surprising us.
Not even close.
๐๐ฌ๐ธ๐ฅ
Growers Love, my friends. ๐๐ฑ
See you next week in the 8ร8 jungle...
where the photons keep flying,
the flowers keep stacking,
the green keeps shining,
and our solo survivor continues doing everything she can to prove that one plant...
can still make a hell of a lot of noise.
๐ฌ๐๐ธ๐
