chaospace I got the seed as a gift from my seed shop. I have no experience with FP strains, so I told myself that I'll give it a try. I started the germination quite early, in the middle of April. The aim was to grow a decent plant in a small 2.5-litre container. Due to the cold days and nights in April, I started this project as a "windoor" grow.

chaospace I decided on no HST techniques at all. Instead, I'll do a LST, mounting the plant to the balcony rail. I also transplanted the plant into its final pot. A small one, but I am aiming for a compact habitus.
chaospace I started with mounting the plant horizontally to the rail. She's also showing some signs of discomfort. I think there was mild overwatering combined with sunburns, due to the rainy weather and periods of intense sun.
chaospace Due to rising temperatures and sunlight, I used the rescue foil to protect the terracotta pots. The plant is growing steadily despite the heat waves.

chaospace The temps went back to norm. She's becoming a nice bush tree. I have no idea when she'll start to bloom in these conditions, but I think it could be in 3-4 weeks.

chaospace I removed two branches from inside the bush and did some bending. This plant sustained yesterday's supercell pretty well, but I did a preventive treatment with the Oidio Killer (Bacillus amyloquefaciens), too.
chaospace This week, she was on the drip. Circa 200 ml each day. After returning from my vacation, she was just fine, but thirsty ๐ I didn't expect the heat waves to strike again when leaving, but with the drip irrigation, she only lost 3-4 leaves.
chaospace The stretch continues. It must break really soon. Otherwise, I'll make her bloom ๐

chaospace After a few nights in that ugly cardboard box, she showed clear signs of switching to flowering ๐. Friday, a new grow tent arrived. It is quite small, but I only plan to use it to give the plant her 12 hours of darkness for the next two months. At 8 PM, into the box; at 8 AM out and back to the balcony. In the middle of September, there should be enough darkness outdoors, but the tent is a good backup for rainy nights, too.

chaospace Now it blooms nicely. It was just another week with the plant on the balcony during the day and in the tent at night. I added a quiet exhaust fan connected to an Aqara THP sensor as a hygrostat due to excessive humidity buildup. I am really wondering what the next piece of indoor equipment to buy will be...
Instead of pruning the backseat passengers, I tried to change the orientation of the plant. Now all branches are nicely exposed to the sun.

chaospace We're slowly entering the pre-harvest stage. Next week, I plan to lower the nutrients and let her spend more time on the balcony. The forecast is quite favorable for this. By the end of next week, the trichomes will probably tell us how close we are to harvest.

chaospace The buds are swelling nicely; the leaves are yellowing. This week, she's been on 1/2 nutrients; next week we'll go down to 1/4. And circa 30% runoff. Waiting just for the trichomes to signal harvest time.
I found a few nasty bugs on some leaves and branches (coccidae). Never seen these on cannabis, but at this stage, I'm only removing the bugs and discarding the leaves eventually.

chaospace The last week. From Monday, I was gradually reducing nutrients down to zero. Friday, I decided there would be no more waiting. She got a nice wet trim, and I cut her down.
What was originally intended as a pure balcony outdoor grow turned into a hybrid grow experiment.
Maybe this was my longest grow ever (and the most expensive, too ). But the plant prospered wonderfully even in a small 2.5 L terracotta pot, and in this year's killing heatwaves. We had almost 60 tropical days this summer (30 supertropical), and she still finished flawlessly. The buds are dense, full of resin, and very promising.
I tried some popcorn in my vape, and I hope for a good smoke too. After drying and some curing, of course.
What I know almost for sure, I won't be growing photoperiods on my balcony again Given that I ended up with a complete indoor setup, I'd be happy to grow Cookies Haze again, but only indoors.

chaospace After cutting her down, I switched the tent to drying mode. I am really curious if that OpenGrowBox thingy would be better than just hanging the plant somewhere and forgetting it until next week ๐
The stem was thick enough to drill a hole through.
I wanted to use #OpenGrowBox for drying too, but after a day of playing around, I found several bugs in the dryer mode, and I could easily overdry her. I fixed them, and I really hope the maintainer will accept my pull request ๐
Anyway, I finished with 54 g of nice larger buds, 23 g of small buds, and 6 g of popcorn. In total, 83 g, which is more than nice in such a small pot. I pressed the popcorn for my fermentation experiments, leaving part aside for tasting until the main batch cures properly.
Thank you, @PhinolaGreen ๐
I try to keep my plants natural-looking and healthy. One shouldn't try too hard to teach them how to grow. I only help a little from time to time ๐ This one is giving me so much joy growing ๐
Sheโs blooming beautifully in Week 20, chaospace! ๐ฟ That structure is dialed in, and you can already see those flowers swelling and frosting up nicely. That rising nighttime aroma and thirst are the ultimate signs that sheโs hitting her strideโwell worth bringing in that carbon filter upgrade! Enjoy the transition, sheโs gearing up for something truly special. ๐๐งก
