Good god almighty, look at what we have here! - I have no reasonable way to weigh these suckers wet, sorry, plus I just don't wanna 😆 but these ladies are HEAVY! I've never grown such big plants! I'm excited to see what kind of numbers they put up when dry. It was difficult to get them out of the trellis net, and I think I'll try Mr. Canuck's tie down method on the next round, instead. I felt so terrible pulling the ladies out of that trellis net, it got a bit rough, and I'm glad this was a test run with crap genetics destined for CBD extraction. Thanks for taking a look 🙏, I'll make a post in a week, but honestly, I think these might take a bit longer than 7 days to dry Side thought - I thought CBD plants weren't supposed to grow large colas...guess that's just a myth. See you when it's dry 👋

I've been having trouble keeping the temperature down in my tents, and I'm wondering what everyones tips and tricks are for extra cooling without adding more to the power draw. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! 🙏

This is every growers nemesis. Open all your vents at the bottom of your tent. Also I've noticed you have your power bar along with other power supplies that you could move outside of the tent. Try it out and I guarantee you'll shed at least 1 deg. The only way to really reduce the temps considering you are already running an inline fan is to intrude AC to the tent. You can make a cooler packed with ice a homemade AC system but you need a fan to push that cold air in the tent there after so there is no easy solution my friend! We are all dealing with the same issues during the summer if you do not want to add with the additional power draw. Try moving your power bar and any other things that create heat outside the tent and you will see a difference, only issue it may become less convenient for you in the long run.

Thanks for the responses to my question! Lots of good advice 🙏 My light cycle is set to run from 6pm to 6am for the flowering period, I've already got a big oscillating fan and a clip fan inside the tent, a duct exhaust fan at the top of the tent, and a duct intake fan at the bottom, I've been placing big movie cups of ice at the intake filter. The exhaust fan does a decent job at full blast, but then my RH drops from 60 to 40. I'm going to try adding a humidifier outside the tent, and add a second intake fan to try and force more cooler humid air into the tent. Failing this, I might dismantle the tents, run a long extension chord, and put my powered AC unit right in the grow room. If only I had more than one breaker for each floor, this would be so much easier! (no money for electrical work right now 😟 - oh well, I'll make it work! Thanks again everyone!

Cool idea, im curious to see how this turns out. Why not put a water pump in there as well so your soil will be self wicking?

@SmithicusAlbertaCanada, if you ever decide to build a system check mine out. Pretty cheap to make, easy to modify, and it is really reliable. It eliminates a lot of the isdues dwc can have

@SmithicusAlbertaCanada, Ah, I didn't realize those plants have a watering system built in, noticed after the first pic. Cool dude, I get it now.

Hi @Juicy_Frost, I used to run drippers and sprayers, but I hated having to fiddle with the tiny parts all the time when they get gunked up or break, not my style I guess. I also thought about doing a recirculating set up with a water pump; however, I decided on the gravity fed auto-pot system due to cost and to keep the amps low (I don't have a dedicated breaker, so I can only have so many devices drawing power before it trips the breaker). The Auto-pot system is doing a great job so far, and the nutrient solution does wick to the top of the growing medium ( I think the pressure from the air pump is helping push the solution to the top, as well). If I had the money, I would have got a dedicated breaker, and a current culture Recirculating DWC set up, as those things look amazing! Thanks for your comment 😊

Turning the lights on during the night is a great way to keep high (and low) temperatures in check. Moving the grow tent / box into a colder room helps too, if you can keep the window open to allow cool air in the room it helps too.

Hi @SmithicusAlbertaCanada! Since you've just jumped into the flowering stage, I would recommend to turn your lights on during the night, this will help in regulating the temp. If you can drive the air of your tent out of your house, it would be even better. You can build a DIY air conditionner with the help of a bucket, small fan, iced bottles, but it's an intensive work to keep the bottles cold enough. If your lamps are dimmable, you can dim the driver to the lowest voltage, for a few days only. So many of us are experiencing the heatwave 😖 Good luck with that, keep us updated and happy growing! 👊

Just wanted to add that these plants have a super heavy myrcene scent, I can't wait to try these when they are dry 😋
