GanjaGecko Here begins a new journey. We are accompanying two young ladies of a new genetic variety from the breeder • Wotans Genetics • Over time, more information about the strain will be added here in consultation with the breeder. For now, I can't say too much except that they are growing fantastically💚 Since the ladies are in week 5, there will be an update every 3-4 days for the new week. Things have been quite busy, and the other ladies had to be harvested first. Now there's finally enough breathing room. The ladies were placed in the CannaKan with some Seedbooster Plus and a bit of hydrogen peroxide on the heating mat. After 15 hours, most of the water in the CannaKan was drained, and then the seeds were left in the CannaKan for a few more hours. After that, they went back into the seedling pots with a dome. These were placed on an upside-down saucer with a heating mat underneath to provide the seeds with a cozy warm ambient temperature. After just 3 days, the first young lady in the seedling pot saw the light of the world, and three days later, the second #5 did too. ____________________________________________ For those who are curious and want to browse or get to know the breeder a bit more: https://www.wotans-genetics.de/shop/ https://x.com/Wotans_Genetics

GanjaGecko Week 1 // D1-7 In the first week, there wasn't much to do. The young ladies have developed well. The small seedling pot was only watered minimally based on feel. When the substrate gets a bit drier at the beginning, the roots start to grow a bit more and go in search of water.

GanjaGecko WEEK2 // D8 - D14 Not much has happened here yet. All are showing good growth and developing strong side branches. This week, they were repotted from the small seedling pots into slightly larger seedling pots. These served as a temporary home for the ladies. The substrate was mixed with some worm humus, rock dust, and a bit of BioGrow from GreenHouseFeeding so that the ladies have everything they need at the start. _____________________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept moving 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. GanjaGecko WEEK3 // D15 - D21 All the ladies started showing signs of a slight magnesium deficiency this week. To meet the slightly increased magnesium needs of the ladies, some rock dust was added, and there was also another 10g of BioGrow from GreenHouseFeeding along with some worm humus. Since the flowering tent was still occupied at this time, a little extra food couldn't hurt. The pot had to last a moment longer. It turned out that acting in time was a good call. Due to the height of the seedling tent being a bit smaller, the LED hanging at the maximum height in the tent, and the next lower setting being completely OFF when dimming the LED, the ladies are a bit light-stretched. Later on, it shows that they are generally quite compact plants, which positively affects the internodes. _____________________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept in motion 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. On Day 15, there was 1ml/L PowerRoots, 0.8ml/L CalMagPro, 2ml/L Alfaboost. 250ml was given to the pots. GanjaGecko WEEK5 // D29 - D35 This week, the ladies were repotted and finally moved into the tent where they will start flowering. The two ladies have made themselves comfortable in the 60×60×180cm tent from Spiderfarmer under the Sanlight EVO 3-60 1.5. The full power of 200W is not being used here; 150W is sufficient for 60×60cm. Of course, a bit more wattage brings a bit more. The goal is to achieve the best possible g/Watt ratio. Additionally, there are two under-canopy lights with 10W each that will be turned on from week 2-3. That should definitely provide enough power for a tent of this size. The substrate mix consists of about 80% BioBizz Lightmix and about 20% coco with perlite. For soil improvement, there was: - 1 tsp/L worm humus - 2g/L rock dust - 5% BioChar In the pot where the ladies found their place, the planting hole was previously sprinkled with some Great White Mycorrhiza and Dynomyco Mycorrhiza. On the surface, there was just 15g of BioGrow from GreenHouseFeeding, which was mixed into the substrate. The recommendation is 3-5g per L of substrate for a growth phase of 8 weeks. However, a long time before flowering was not planned here. The ladies were supposed to settle in for about a week, and then flowering should already be initiated. The new substrate with worm humus should therefore be sufficient for 1½ weeks. The soil was moistened before watering with a pressure sprayer/tree sprayer. Then, the young lady received 1ml/L PowerRoots, 2ml/L Alfaboost, 0.1ml Mono-Silicic, 0.8ml/L CalMagPro, 1g/L BioEnhancer, and 0.75g/L Dynomyco Spark. At the beginning, 300ml was given from above into the pot and another 200ml into the saucer. The pH value was adjusted to 5.8 beforehand. Additionally, nematodes were added to the water to prevent pesky fungus gnats. _____________________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept moving 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. On Day 29, there was 1ml/L PowerRoots, 0.8ml/L CalMagPro, 2ml/L Alfaboost. 250ml was given in the pots. On Day 31, there was 1ml/L PowerRoots, 0.8ml/L CalMagPro, 2ml/L Alfaboost. 250ml was given in the pots. GanjaGecko WEEK7/2F // D43/8F - D49/14F Each lady received her flowering fertilizer with a small layer of substrate in the pots. There were also 10 teaspoons of worm humus and another ½ teaspoon of rock dust in each pot. Each lady got 4g of BioBloom per liter of substrate as flowering fertilizer. In two weeks, around the middle of the flowering period, each lady will receive another 10-15g of BioBloom + 2 teaspoons of BatGuano per lady. Midweek, the LED was dimmed to 150W, so the ladies now get about 900ppfd, which should be sufficient for lush flowering. On the first day of the second flowering week, the FarRed wake-up and sleep light was turned on. A Far Red light bar in the 730-745nm range - the Spider Farmer SUPP-IR 16. This is turned on as a little sleep aid for 15 minutes before the Sanlight goes out and for 15 minutes after the Sanlight goes out. The lighting with FarRed LEDs accelerates the metabolic shift after the light goes out. This allows the ladies to recover better at night and start the new day refreshed. Plants have an absorption spectrum that perceives Far Red light as an indicator of the onset of darkness. We can take advantage of this fact with artificial lighting. The so-called phytochromes are responsible for the absorption of Far Red light waves. These are a type of photoreceptor proteins that influence a variety of plant growth processes. Phytochromes control processes such as germination, flowering, and photoperiodism, which is the regulation of the day-night rhythm. Essentially, there are two types or conformations of phytochromes in plants: The Pr-form (r=red) has its absorption maximum at around 660 nm, and the Pfr-form (fr=far red) at about 730 nm. What do phytochromes have to do with plant lights? Quite simply: By using the Far Red spectrum, relevant processes like photoperiodism can be specifically influenced to optimize nighttime recovery and thus photosynthesis, leading to better yield results. If the low-energy Far Red radiation stays on in the evening for about 10 to 15 minutes longer than the regular light, it acts as a "sleep initiator." Plants switch to their natural sleep mode faster this way and can use the extra time for recovery. (Source: https://www.pro-emit.de/ratgeber/schlafinitiierung-per-far-red/) At the end of the week, a SCROG net was installed, which serves less for LST and more for organizing the shoots. And that was the week already over. _____________________________________________ Fertilizing: Watering is done with water that is kept in motion 24/7 with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. Day43/8F had 1ml/L PowerRoots, 0.8ml/L CalMagPro, 2ml/L Alfaboost. 600ml was given in the pots and 200ml in the saucer. Day45/10F had 1ml/L PowerRoots, 0.8ml/L CalMagPro, 2ml/L Alfaboost. 600ml was given in the pots and 200ml in the saucer. Nice, good luck! I've heard there’s supposed to be a collab between Wotan and Titan coming. I'm curious to see what the future holds for the German breeder.

Have fun on your journey, Mr. Gecko! When I see the little tags ^^ Are you still painting Active/Passive? 🤫

@GanjaGecko, I understand ^^ Oh, a fellow sufferer! Hm, for me it's not the knees, but the foot. Do you know the movie Forrest Gump? I had to walk to the bus today, which I probably shouldn't be doing. I felt like Forrest. xD Do you have any experience with what helps you best with a strain? I've tried so much, but I'm not really satisfied yet. I'm curious about the Medical Mass. They’re only 8/8, but CBD has already done me some good. I would like something with more kick in it though. Well, for next year a new bonsai and until then, some research – but no more White-Label-Mafia nonsense! 😂

@Kushycat, 😂😂 I can totally picture it right now. I'm not exactly sure. I'm going to dry the Fruity Pebbles soon. It’s supposed to help with arthritis. Luckily, I don’t have arthritis in my knee. But I do have it in my shoulder. I'll let you know if I notice any improvement.

Kushycat commented23d ago
@GanjaGecko, My arthritis has stiffened and luckily no further issues in my foot, so it basically has to do with the pain. Unfortunately, I'm out of my own stuff and had to order something from the pharmacy again. I got Pink Kush, which I find pretty good. Sure, it still hurts, but it has more effect than the stuff I had before. Well, we'll see. Thanks for the feedback! :)
