Late updating as I've been away for a week but before I did, the girls were given a couple higher dosage feedings and the main stem was LST'd down to encourage the lower growth to shoot up and start making a nice canopy. Since these photos, I have added another string towards the Base of the plant, pulling in the opposite direction to the one above to maintain a nice straight stem at the Base. It's important not to cause stress on the roots when LST'ing.
The next week will be updated in only a couple of days as I'm late posting this week's diary.
I'll also be adding Mammoth P to my feeding schedule starting late into week 6.
Thanks for looking/following πΊ
Looks like she's going to finish flowering into a gorgeous monster. Great work you've done here buddy. I can't wait to see her finished as well as more grows from you in the future. Cheers :D
@biggreens420, thanks mate. I'm definitely pleased with how even her canopy is, hopefully she keeps her shape during the rest of her stretch and we'll have some nice even top buds πΊ
Cheers @biggreens420 π Not as many as I'd usually like as the Royal Cookies girl hasn't side branched much but still managed to get a good amount from topping her βΊοΈ
@biggreens420, she has but believe it or not the Girl Scout Crack is now the tallest! I think it's just cuz she wasn't gonna let herself get bullied by the big girls lol
Looking lovely, FF. Your plants are looking frosty across all your garden which includes multiple strains. What contributes most to this wonderful result and what are your thoughts on Mammoth P? Thanks and wishing you a white and merry Christmas.
Thanks @Mr_Positivo π personally I think it's just down to keeping the girls happy and healthy before going into flower and then continuing their perfect health throughout flower π I'm not positive on how true this is, but I've also heard in the past that cooler temps can contribute to good trichome production. And due to the time of year it is I'm able to keep my night temps between 65-67 so that could also be a factor worth mentioning. In regards to Mammoth P, this is my first time running it so I probably can't give my opinion until harvesting but so far I believe it's made a difference, considering I'm only flowering with a 250w HPS at the moment. They also seem to be generally very healthy all the way throughout flower without any minor deficiencies so Mammoth P could also be playing an indirect hand in that as the plants have more phosphorus available to them. I'd definitely recommend trying a sample to see if it benefits your garden π thank you, Merry Christmas to you too βοΈπΊ
Read about your light leak issue..
Tip: once a week get in your flower space or put a camera in your tent for 10 mins of total dark and check for light leaks..
I had this same issue with a power strip.. I unplugged a fan and the empty hold had light coming out of it from the led indicator light I had already taped over...
Couple days isn't too horrible and the girls still look nice.. you should be fine
Grow and learn :)
Thanks @Fun_Growin, I sat in there for a good 25 mins when I originally light proofed the room over a year ago and all was good, but I completely missed the lights on this new extension π thats exactly it mate, gotta take something from every grow! πΊ
